"The natural light and high ceilings are the first things to catch your eye when you walk into Asian Glories, but it is the view of the church and the canal that really wins you over. Understated Asian art lends a touch of individuality to the decor. The open kitchen affords glimpses of hanging Peking ducks and busy chefs at work. The culinary traditions of Canton and Sichuan prevail here, served up in generous, umami-rich dishes. Dim sum, prepared in house, chicken tempura, a beautifully light and airy steamed bun with pork belly confit: good luck choosing from the extensive à la carte and set menus!" - Michelin Inspector

We ordered the set menu and all are delicious. The fish with its chewy texture is superb. Beef is crisp and tasty. The duck dishes (main course and the starter wrap) are nice and juicy, only a little bit too salty for me. Wonton soup is very good. Good portion and good value for price. Ambience is nice with some window seats looking over the church and canal. Good service too.

We tried this restaurant because it is on the list of Michelin Guide. Interior was well designed, all staff were super friendly, but unfortunately the food was below expectation. If you prefer westernized Chinese food over the authentic ones, you might like this place. For the price we paid (€180+ for 2pax) plus their exposure in the Michelin Guide, the food was way too mediocre. We had Asian tasting course, which was not enough because the portions were too small. Was looking forward to the dim-sum, but I was not satisfied with how the siu-may taste. Peking duck was good! Basic desserts such as a soufflé and 2 scopes of ice creams presented in a very basic manner, cost an arm and a leg. The frustration was multiplied because I was expecting something authentic flavorful Chinese cuisine and had spent quite some money, hence this low score. If you wanna visit, maybe just order a la carte rather than their course menu, try their Peking duck. Might be a good place to hangout in friends/colleagues group or family if you are only looking for a nice atmosphere and have fairly simple expectations on asian cuisine. Sad to say it’s not for me :’(

The atmosphere in the new restaurant (our first time) is great and fresh Value for money (6 courses x 64 euros) is also quite great Some courses struck me with an unexpectedly annoying detail: they were SMOKING hot! Not spicy but temperature wise! Personnel, please warn your guests if they need to wait for half a minute before digging in... fresh off the wok or deep fried meals served without warning and I burnt my palette so bad.. You know how it goes: you bite a bitterbal at the beginning of a party and cannot taste anything for the rest of the evening and only suffer, suffer... Other than that, food was balanced, surprising, rich with seafood and other flavors. It did make a lasting impression. Especially Sichuan beef at the end and salmon at the beginning Desserts were on the contrary very pricey and unimaginative Ratio of mint to water in fresh mint tea also unacceptable - thanks, after burning my palette on the wok dish I am now drinking plain hot water 👍🏽 We will come back for food but not the desserts and drinks ;)

We recently visited this restaurant after seeing its Michelin mention and unfortunately our experience was quite disappointing. We ordered two set menus and were surprised by how inflexible the concept was. There was no room for adjustment, even though we ordered a lot. Several dishes were repeated because they appeared twice in the menu, which felt neither creative nor balanced. More than half of what we were served involved shrimp, so the variety was very limited. What bothered us the most was the constant smell of smoke inside the restaurant. You could actually see how the smoke came from the kitchen into the dining area. For a restaurant at this level, this is very strange. It seems that the ventilation system doesn’t work, or works very poorly. When we left, our clothes smelled so bad that we had to wash even our jackets. Overall, the food was not memorable, the menu lacked creativity, and the smoke issue really affected the experience. We hope they address the ventilation problem, because in its current state it does not live up to the expectations of a Michelin-recommended restaurant.

Wow. What an experience. The food was just amazing. Tuna fish was perfection, with its fresh wasabi and tiny crispy bits below. The duck pancake with the crispy duck skin was very good. Fried rice and beef was filling and very tasty. The chicken broth soup was also good, although quite small and a unique taste. Strong seaweed taste. Chocolate soufflé was just right, with a great combination of strawberries and not too sweet cream. Oolong tea was the perfect way to finish this meal. The place is a bit expensive, but I feel it’s very much justified. The service was great, service was quick, and the food presentation added to the meal experience.

In the heart of the city, nestled between the hustle and bustle, lies a hidden gem that transports you to the enchanting world of ancient China. The newly renovated Chinese restaurant, with its open and airy ambiance, is a sight to behold. The moment you step inside, you are greeted by the warm and inviting aura that radiates from every corner. The subtle touch of ancient Chinese culture, beautifully interwoven with modern design elements, creates a harmonious blend that is both visually appealing and culturally enriching. The restaurant offers a breathtaking view of the church, providing a serene backdrop to your dining experience. The panoramic view, coupled with the soft, ambient lighting, sets the stage for an unforgettable culinary journey. The owner/chef, a master of his craft, welcomed us with open arms and a heartfelt congratulation on our wedding anniversary. His passion for food and hospitality was evident in every interaction, making us feel truly special and valued. The culinary delights that followed were nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was meticulously prepared, showcasing the chef's expertise and dedication to authentic Chinese cuisine. The flavors were rich and robust, yet perfectly balanced, offering a delightful symphony of tastes. The chef's innovative twists added a refreshing element to the traditional dishes, creating a unique dining experience that tantalized our taste buds. The service was impeccable, with the staff attending to our every need with utmost care and professionalism. They made us feel welcome and comfortable, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. As a special gesture for our wedding anniversary, the owner graciously offered us complimentary drinks and a generous discount on our bill. This thoughtful gesture, coupled with the exceptional food and service, made our dining experience truly memorable. In conclusion, the Chinese restaurant is not just a place to dine, but a destination that offers a unique blend of authentic Chinese cuisine, exceptional service, and a captivating ambiance. It is a place where every visit feels like a celebration, making it an ideal choice for special occasions or simply an evening of indulgence. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a culinary journey that is as enriching as it is delicious.

Excellent fine-dining Chinese restaurant in the center of Rotterdam. I had the 7-course Tasting menu, which I can definitely recommend. Some of the dishes such as the oysters, sesame chicken, Peking duck & clams were simply superb! And the service is friendly and attentive.

It was great that it offers continued service throughout the day and without reservations. The place was modern and upscale with a small but varied menu including veggies and different types of meat. I really recommend the soup and the chicken. Nice wine by the glass menu. Outstanding service.
