Google
I really enjoyed my meal! I got a Philadelphia roll and a Salmon roll for their Lunch special with the Miso Soup. I ate one of the rolls before I took the photo, but there were 6 rolls each. I was able to place my order online and it was ready exactly on time. The salmon tasted fresh and I felt like it was a pretty good deal for under $11!

Google
Ordered online, came fast however the food was not good. I ordered the bourbon chicken (tasted like cinnamon??) the veggie low main (didn’t have a flavor??) and I thought what was a sushi roll with cucumber and it was physically just cucumber so I think a small description of the items would be in your favor. The portions are good as almost all Chinese/Japanese places are. Even the cookies were old and stale and for a can of pop the price that’s insane. I will not be back however you should adjust your online menu. Good luck

Google
This is a small, clean venue where you can get great quality sushi for a reasonable price. We ordered the H.K.S roll and the St. Patrick's specialty rolls and both were excellent. Their mochi is also kept at the perfect temperature where it stays solid but allows you to bite through it like butter. The servers were also attentive and helpful.

Jesse M.

Google
Sushies were okay, regular sized, and flavor were standard. The udon was surprisingly really good. The sauce really soaked into the noodle and the beef was easy to eat. They also sell other asian foods.

Google
Good food. Great and friendly staff. Very attentive. The place is quiet which is what I like. Their lunch menu is perfect. During lunch, you can get a rice dish + sushi which is what I did! If you are in the area, this is a must come to place!

Jordany A.

Google
It is a beautiful place and also has good service.

Google
They have something for everyone. I love the Chinese combo dinners. For the price they can't be beat. My aunt and I eat here about once a month. The server remembers our drink orders. Plus she knows I like hot mustard with my egg roll. And she keeps my ice tea filled. Food is great and so is the service!

Lyra W.

Google
I got a Bento Box, which is a super good deal for all that food! We also got the AAC roll, yellowtail Tuna, and a Tuna Avacado roll, they were all very good! The Bento Box came with pineapple, which was surprising! Update: Second time here! Got the Spring rolls and Mei Fun this time. The Spring Rolls weren't the best but the Mei Fun was amazing!

Yelp
This little neighborhood restaurant has a big menu and big flavors. So many options to chose from covering a variety of Asian cuisines. Soups, bowls, rolls, bentos, tempura, noodles, hibachi and more. A St. Patrick's roll? Sure why not! Tuna, salmon, Yellowtail, avocado and tobiko. It was excellent. It is a small spot in a strip mall so you'll need to look for it. Definitely worth it. Family run and service is great.

Yelp
We ordered take out and had the following dishes: crab rangoons, egg rolls, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken and general tso's chicken and lo mein. We also subbed fried rice for each dish. The highlights for me were the egg rolls and sweet and sour chicken. The orange and general tso's were just okay. The lo mein noodles were a bit thicker than I prefer. However, the sauces on all dishes were good and seasoned nicely. We had a ton of leftovers so keep that in mind!

Yelp
So fresh and yummy! I was passing through on my way back to Chicago and was happy to find this place for a quick bite before we hit the rode! The prices were fantastic! Especially compared to Chicago-- $14 for both rolls. The tuna was incredibly packed, and the bites were huge. The shrimp tempura was also well fried, and had two pieces of shrimp in it which was incredibly generous. The hostess that took my order was great, the vibe inside was dark and cozy, and they made my order super quick! I would certainly be a regular if I lived in the area.

Yelp
My eyes are watering and my mouth is on fire....but a good fire. The Spicy Shrimp with Vegetables is HOT but delicious! The Hot and Sour is serious HOT but also delicious. We ordered the lunch specials. Soup or Eggroll and Entree now $8. It was a lot of food. Entrees come with white or fried rice. The vegetables (carrots, peppers, onions) were sliced julienne and fresh. The soup had lots of fresh mushrooms. Both were favorful and HOT. We ordered to go. Food was quickly prepared and service friendly. Meals came with a fortune cookie, of course. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall and all accessible. I'll be back. Love the heat.

Yelp
We stopped in as I have been looking for a new sushi place on this side of town. Asian kitchen offers both Chinese food as well as sushi. We ordered 3 rolls to share for lunch. The st. Patrick's day roll was great. It was rolled in avocado. The out of control roll was good and you could clearly see how fresh the fish was. The valentine roll was disappointing as I did not taste the chili sauce and there was something just off in the texture - it was a bit stringy. Service was very good.

Yelp
Went at end of lunch period on a weekday. I was the only dinner. Service prompt and friendly, dining area clean. Opted for the pricer special sushi rolls instead of the lunch specials, which looked like a really good deal. However, been craving sushi for some time and saw a few unique rolls on their menu so gave it a try. It was a high five result! Tasted yummy, looked fresh. Will be returning to try out their other menu items.

Yelp
Oak Roll 4/10 (Spicy tuna, cream cheese, avocado deep fried spicy mayo & eel sauce) - First off this was not spicy tuna, literally tasted like cooked canned tuna, grey and chonky. Also it had that wasabi sauce all over it which was not listed online. The friedness took over the entire roll making it borderline inedible. Miyako Roll 5/10 (Shrimp tempura, avocado topped with spicy crab, masago, eel & spicy mayo) - Shrimp tempura and rice tasted stale. Lacked flavor over all. Crab Rangoon 5.2/10 * not sure how you can mess these up but they did. Served with a mango sauce when I was really craving sweet and sour.

Yelp
Updating my review from 2017 to note that nearly six years later, we still love coming here! The food comes out reasonably quick for being prepared fresh. The sushi rolls are interesting combinations and reasonably priced. We love getting the bento boxes so that we can have a little bit of everything. If you bring kids, they have chopsticks that are bound at the top to make them easier to use. I think they have the best crab rangoon in town.

Yelp
Unassuming strip center resturant that is amazing. Service was prompt and friendly. I had the beef and broccoli that was prepared quickly and very tasty. The egg roll might be the best I've ever had. I am so happy that I found this great resturant.
google avatar

Allison B.

Yelp
Totally recommend this sushi spot in West Carmel! My sister and I had pot stickers as an app and both got Sushi rolls. I'm not a fan of fish, so I typically go for something cooked and a non-fish option, so the Valentines roll was perfect. Service was great - friendly and efficient. Great for a date night with your loved ones!

Yelp
Was looking for a restaurant open at 11:00 am on a Saturday and found Asian Kitchen & Sushi Bar. They have a broad choice of Asian dishes and Sushi which fit our groups tastes. Arrived just after opening, several tables already had customers, so a good sign. Service was prompt, group ordered a mix of items- Sushi, Bento Box and a Curry. I was in the mood for Egg Foo Young but didn't see it on the menu. Server confirmed that they could do it, and am I glad I asked. Hands down one of the best I've ever had. The omelettes were so light, fluffy and flavorful! Just amazing. I'm going back to try all the meat varieties . All the group was thrilled either choices, nothing disappointed. One note: The food is brought out fresh as it's competed, with our mix of dishes it resulted in staggered delivery, which was fine with us since we share dishes, but can see where some might have an issue if you aren't sharing.

Yelp
We decided to try a new place for sushi and ended up here on a Sunday for dinner. We were seated right away and it was not too crowded. They also offer take out as well. We decided to get the bento boxes for dinner and they were a great deal- I could not finish everything but was able to try the few items I wanted on the menu. The crab rangoon were fine but nothing I would return for. I enjoyed my sushi but would get it without the sauce next time. The general tsos chicken was flavorful and not too breaded and went great with the white rice. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. I appreciated the great prices and service here.

Yelp
We ordered via GrubHub and saw that this spot had awesome reviews. We ordered the General Tso's Chicken Dinner Special, Shrimp with Mixed Veggies Dinner Special, and an order of chicken fingers (yes, I also laughed when my husband requested that from a spot known for sushi). It was packaged well and arrived hot. The General Tso's chicken was delicious, and had a little heat to it. My husband thought the chicken fingers were great and I liked the shrimp with mixed veggies okay. I got fried rice with it and there wasn't a lot to it. It was also very fishy tasting, which I typically like but didn't expect as much with shrimp. We're excited to visit Asian Kitchen in person next time, as their bento boxes look like delicoius and are probably best served hot and in-person!

Laura W.

Yelp
The food was delicious! Everything came out hot and well seasoned and fresh! It wasn't busy when my husband and I went in, and we had exceptional service - the staff is very friendly! We did not try the sushi - I don't care for sushi, but my husband does. He's going to try it the next time we go back. It's a definite yes for us!

Yelp
Yelp really came through with this one! I've been ordering all the Kung Pao chicken within a several mile radius of our new Zville home and this was the first time this spot came up in my search. I'm glad it did, though, because my food was delish. Ordered some egg rolls and crab wantons and some other stuff for my hubby and enjoyed a full feast. Hubby thought his Pad Thai was a bit bland but not a big deal. Will try sushi next time.

Leslie W.

Yelp
I ordered takout and it was very easy and the order was ready on time. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! I will definitely be going here again; this may become my go-to Chinese takeout spot!
google avatar

Yelp
Nice collection of various Asian cuisines. I enjoyed my tempera vegetables. another in our party had a seafood bowl that was tasty. One had a sweet and sour pork dish couple of people had egg rolls. Best dish of the night probably was the bang bang shrimp.
google avatar

Lynn A.

Yelp
So delicious, family run, always so kind and the sushi is amazing compared to anywhere else in town!

Yelp
Food was really good and arrived quickly! Everything was still hot when it arrived. We'll definitely order from there again.

Yelp
Wife was craving sushi so we stopped here. Had a few starters and we could have been full with just that. 1. Crispy calamari and it was crispy, not a whole lot of flavor compared to italian restaurants. 2. Soft shell carb is a must - have. 3. Kaki fried. You'll get your mouth burnt if you don't take time on this as this is really hot. It was enjoyable. 4. Boneless spare ribs. Boy, serving is big on this for an appetizer. Taste is ok. For main course, I had the lemon chicken. They had the lemon sauce in a cup so the chicken stays crispy. Not bad and enjoyable. Wifey had the bento box of fried rice, spicy crab avocado, chicken teriyaki, crabmeat rangoon. Overall, the food is more on the fried side of taste, not a whole lot of flavoring compared to authentic Chinese restaurants like Lucky Lou or the old Scezchwan Garden (now closed). They have paper towels in restroom. No outdoor seating.

Yelp
After looking at the restaurant's ratings we went here for dinner and had a great time. It wasn't crazy packed and we were seated right away. Inside, it was nicely decorated with artwork and lights and overall the place was very clean. All the staff was polite and friendly and it didn't take long to get our food. Looking at the menu you can tell it is very robust and has a lot of things. They special rolls are excellent and they are one of a few sushi makers in town who offer lobster and soy paper rolls. There are a lot of great items like Indiana roll or Maine roll. Prices may seem 10% higher than average but they serve rolls with 8-10 pieces most of the time, not 5-8. There is really a lot of food and you also get free edamame as an appetizer. Rolls were very delicious and I'd definitely come back and try their other options. It's not Ukiyo but it is just as good as Hino Oishi, Hana, Kobayashi, or Miracle. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
The miso soup is wonderful with a real depth of flavor. I ordered the fried dumplings which I loved. My husband had the fried oysters and loved them but unless you like raw oysters they won't be your thing. I ordered the delicious sushi, fresh, well-made, and reasonably priced. My husband had the egg foo young which he loved. Sometimes a sushi bar can't cook and a restaurant doesn't do sushi well but this place did them both exceptionally well. When I review a place I do it for what it is I do not compare it to other types of establishments. This is top-notch for an Asian fusion restur

Yelp
The best Chinese food in the city!! Hands down. Mic drop. The lunch menu is awesome. In addition to the entree, you get a soup or salad with it for 7.99! You can't even get fast food for that price anymore. You won't regret stopping here for lunch or dinner!
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Great little spot for a mixed menu of Japanese and Chinese food. The sushi has always been fresh, and there is a large selection of rolls and nigiri. The hot dishes have always have been good and the portions are a decent size. Friendly and courteous staff as well.

Kraig R.

Yelp
Our go to for Chinese and sushi. Great food, good quality and well priced. Every time we're not disappointed Ted in it! Haven't had one bad experience from them.

Yelp
They reopen last March after limited hours during Covid love their warm cozy atmosphere fresh and delicious food with great service we generally always go in for their delicious lunch special 11-3 pm with many options to choose from an entree , white/fried rice and soup or salad for only $7.95 they have raised prices but food quality has not changed they carry great sushi box options as well great choice for nice Chinese for in carmel highly recommended and delicious

Yelp
It's always necessary to have Asian food near home on speed dial and this is our go-to. We like the Lo Mein, orange chicken, and phoenix and dragon. Sushi rolls are also pretty good! They often have 99c delivery on door dash and they are super fast. We have never dined in, but the servers are always very nice.

Dana M.

Yelp
love this place. food is great with large selection. staff is wonderful! they work so hard and still greet everyone with a smile. you can tell they have a lot of regulars because they are always greeting guests by name. highly recommend! we come here almost weekly and I've never had something I didn't like.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place for late dinner. It's not too far from house and we decided to try it. The place was empty but seemed like there were a lot of to go orders. The price range is $5-20. Average price for a sushi place. They also have lunch specials from Monday-Saturday, which is always a plus. Especially on Saturday. I've got my spicy tuna and tempura udon. Spicy tuna was fine, it only comes with 6 pieces so it's a smaller portion than other places I've seen. Tempura udon was bad. The broth was so bland. I would definitely not get it again. Also one of the lady gave me a weird look every time I asked a question. Not very welcoming.
google avatar

Leah G.

Yelp
Yummy! Quite the selection of food alongside fresh, delicious sushi! My husband and I both got Sushi Bento C. I also got the Tsunami Roll and my husband got a spicy tuna hand roll. My son got the Salmon Teriyaki and my daughter got the Chicken Fried Rice. The sushi was fresh and as were the rolls. Really good! My kids loved their entrees as well. I would highly recommend! Next time we want to try the Chinese food!
google avatar

Nis J.

Yelp
Great Asian sushi place! Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared. Angel sushi roll was delicious. Also got the bento box with shrimp. Includes miso soup (not fake powdered stuff like other places!!) gyoza, sushi with your choice of toppings. Fast and efficient service as well and the price point is fair
google avatar

Peter P.

Yelp
This is a pretty good little strip mall Asian restaurant. They do a lot of takeout business, but the dining room is drizzly quite inviting. Lots of the standard Asian fare: sushi, bento boxes, dumplings, teppenyaki (they cook it in back so no show),
google avatar

Luke T.

Yelp
The orange chicken was so old and chewy we couldn't finish it. When I tried to go in and pick it up they have doors blocking the entrance so you can't go in. So he said he would call us when it was ready. We waited 15 minutes but I'm not sure why, because the soup and chicken was cold. Orange chicken was the worst I have ever had. Panda Express is a better choice that is how bad this is.
google avatar

Marcy D.

Yelp
During the pandemic our house is doing "takeout weekend" where we try to get at least one take out from a business each week we are sheltering in place. This business had a great way of doing take out while social distancing. We have always enjoyed coming here, but being able to have a taste of sushi rolls really made our quarantine week much brighter and gave us something to Look forward to! Thanks for all you do during this crazy time!
google avatar

Jada B.

Yelp
Very good place to get sushi! I've tried this place for lunch only and I don't think they can be bet in the area when it comes to comparing price, quality, quantity, service, and speed. The miso soup seemed to have more flavor than most soups I've had in the past. I don't like any raw sushi but what I had was wonderful! Great and flavor!

Ana M.

Yelp
Lord someone take my credit card away. This place looks so plain on the outside but their food is delicious. I usually get their lunch special sushi which is $12 for 3 decent sized rolls. I also have tried their fried rice and mixed veggies with chicken for my mom and she loved it. Their sushi isn't fishy and the rice is well seasoned. They are also very fast for pickup orders. I have never dined in but the restaurant does look clean inside and their restrooms are also nice and clean. They don't have a minimum for credit card payment which is nice. I asked for a side of sesame sauce and they gave me about 6-8 oz for only $1, a great deal! Please stop by, best bang for your buck in town if you ask me :)
google avatar

Tony B.

Yelp
Very fresh fish.... I was very surprised. I usually shy away from sushi fusions restaurants but this place knows what they are doing. I'm sure you'll be happy with any one of their sushi roll concoctions. Of course the St. Patrick's Day roll will not be found in Tokyo but they did a great job meshing three great fish items with avocado. Pass on the agedashi tofu. Crab Rangoon were tasty.
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice sushi restaurant with enough Asian options for those who aren't huge sushi fans. This strip mall restaurant was quiet and had easy to find parking right outside the entrance. We were greeted right away and given our choice of booth or 4 top seating. After our order was taken, it wasn't long before our soups (Egg Drop for my wife, Miso for me) arrived. The egg drop was on the thin side, but had a full flavor. The Miso also had a lot more flavor than some Asian restaurants I frequent. Good overall. My wife got the sweet and sour chicken which has a large number of puffed batter chicken that was very tender. The chicken itself wasn't seasoned much, so without the dipping sweet & sour sauce, there wasn't much flavor. She really liked the moist bites and thought the sauce had a nice balance between the two tastes. She thought the chicken was the most tender she had ever had! If only they had used just a bit more seasoning to fill out the flavor. Note that the complementary fried rice was a bit on the dry side like it had been prepared ahead of time had been kept warm. I got a serving of Gyoza which I found very light (non-filling) with a crispy crunch to the bottom. Very good! I used the dipping sauce and the savory/acidic tastes paired well with the dumpling. Very good! My main course was the Fancy Dragon, an 8 pc roll with eel, kani (imitation crab), cucumber and topped with avocado and eel, and eel sauce. The roll was sized right making the pieces more bite sized than some oversized rolls I've had elsewhere. The only negative was that the wrap of the roll wasn't overlapping enough, so each piece tended to split on the bottom when picked up (I tried both chop sticks and with my fingers to keep the ingredients inside the roll up.) If only they had allowed that bit of overlap, I wouldn't have had to pick up as much out of the dipping bowl. Soy sauce can leave quite a stain if splashes come from dropped ingredients. The service was friendly and welcoming and even checked us out promptly, but didn't stop by to check on our water or iced tea. Wait times were minimal between courses. Overall, a very nice place to dine with lots of Asian and sushi choices....just like the title of the business. Review #492

Christy K.

Yelp
Decided to do takeout from here after work. Hubby liked his Saint Patrick Roll (and it was gorgeous with the avocado on top)! The spicy tuna roll did not taste fresh and the crunchy things on top were stale. The Pad Thai was absolutely vile. I'm not sure what the sauce was but I think it was just ketchup and sweet-and-sour sauce. I will eat almost anything but this went in the trash and our lucky pets got the shrimp.
google avatar

Colette F.

Yelp
This was almost a five but the food needs a little tweaking. Overall we had a great experience and we look forward to eating here often. Great service, wonderful people in a nice atmosphere. I don't know if it's a regular thing they do, but we enjoyed Complimentary steamed when we arrived, and a nicely presented orange for dessert. There are a few seats at the sushi bar and our booth was very comfortable. There are TV screens all around with different types of shows on them. We had a minor problem with The teriyaki beef not being cooked enough and they rectified it quickly to our satisfaction. Husband raved about the beef, said it was very tender. Both servers were very attentive, I don't think either of our glasses ever were empty. Ocean World still has my favorite California roll, but I like the atmosphere and the service so much better here. In June 2018 we tried some sweet and sour chicken, which is served with the sauce on the side -allowing us to enjoy the texture of the tempura, in addition to not drowning the chicken in the sauce. Green ball appetizer was a work of art- so pretty covered in paper-thin slivers of avocado. It was more like a tube than a ball of finely shredded striped bass topped with some fish eggs. My dinner companion got to try a new soup when the server accidentally brought something other than egg drop. Not sure if it was sweet and sour soup or some sort of spicy vegetable but he liked it and she voluntarily did not charge us for it. In spite of being busy both in the restaurant and carry out, two servers did a fine job keeping up. Our hot green tea and ice water or replenished every time we needed it.

Yelp
This is the second recent visit to Asian Kitchen & Sushi Bar, both was for carry out. The first visit appeared ok until we were leaving the parking lot and received a call from the restaurant letting us know they had given us someone else's order. I returned the food and retrieved the correct order. I should have considered where my order might have been but thought it was just a mistake. The most recent visit was awful. Order was placed on-line, drove to the restaurant and waited an hour to pick up food. As it turns out the food was sitting on a table inside the restaurant for what must have been too long. They were supposed to call when it was ready and didn't. The food was cold, rubbery and unappetizing. With all of the choices for Asian food I will look elsewhere before returning to Asian Kitchen and Sushi Bar.

Elle B.

Yelp
Amazing sushi and great customer service! The rolls were phenomenal and my waitress took great care of me and offered suggestions as it was my first time.
google avatar

Maddie K.

Yelp
This used to be my favorite place to order sushi. There are more vegetarian options here than at most places and I really enjoy the choices. However, my experiences with ordering have been very inconsistent. Sometimes everything is great and I am satisfied. Recently there have been more than three occasions in which my food was not good. Last time, I ordered an avocado roll and they served a rotting avocado. I understand that avocado oxidizes and turns brown, but that is not what happened with this (it was spotted and black). And I didn't see it until I was already home with the take out, so at that point I couldn't feasibly get a replacement. This is disappointing and I wish I hadn't experienced this and the other similar situations - but I have several times now. Hopefully things will improve and one day I can rely on them again for my favorite sushi takeout. For now I will have to try other places.

Yelp
Well... I have found my new favorite lunch place. Their lunch special Bento Box for $10 is a great deal. You get both a sushi roll and a choice of an entree. As well, you get to choose between crab Rangoon or pot stickers AND a choice of soup or salad. I have gotten the lunch special togo as well and it was equally as good. I am a huge fan of this little restaurant. The decor is cute and the restaurant is clean. I will be back for sure!
google avatar

Shelby H.

Yelp
Bad. Rubbery, no flavor. Worst sushi I've had in a long time. And expensive. Go to Noah Grants instead.
google avatar

Kala S.

Yelp
We wanted to grab a quick bite to eat on our way home so we stopped here, not really knowing what to expect and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! I'm usually very picky about my sushi but the rolls were cooked to perfection. The waitress was so sweet and gave honest recommendations on what she thought we would like best based on what we told her we liked.
google avatar

Jamie H.

Yelp
Sushi is great and prices are great. They are always quick to have my order ready and it's ALWAYS accurate. - which is saying something because I tend to be specific about food on occasion. will always be a fan. However they are closed in mondays so plan accordingly.
google avatar

Francie C.

Yelp
We just discovered this place and love it! Service is great and they are so nice and accommodating explaining the different types of sushi. Everything from the miso soup to dessert is great!

Yelp
This place will put you in a good mood and you'll leave with a full belly! I order the delicious wonton soup and had the Maki Roll Combo dinner with an eel roll, shrimp mango roll, and sweet potato roll. Plus the chef added a tasty appetizer. I don't know what it was but it was delicious! He made sure to make sure I could eat cheese before serving it to me, which I thought was very considerate. Additionally, there was complimentary salad. The waitresses were so attentive. I had a drink within 2 minutes of being seated and they were not slow to refill or clear dishes away. Finally, there is a great ambiance here, parking on-site, and very clean. 100% would recommend.
