I ordered food through doordash for several days in a row because of its amazing deliciousness! But I hope they can give me more sour plum sauce! I ordered two large appetizer + 1 spring roll. They only gave me two small boxes of sour plum sauce. I still have a lot of things that I haven’t finished, but my sour plum sauce is gone. I‘m a little sad. But their price is cheap and the food is also very delicious. If you live around here and want to eat Chinese food, I highly recommend it!

General Gao’s chicken was great. White rice was your average plain white rice. Lo mein noodles were thicker than I normally like, so I wasn’t a fan. But overall solid and affordable takeout. They also packed sides, utensils, and fortune cookies which I appreciate!

The lady who runs this place is terribly rude. She probably has something else to do in life. Working at this restaurant and serving customers isn't her priority. Do NOT go to this place if you want to be treated badly.

Listen, I always try to give a place two chances. The first time I ordered from here was bad. Not one thing taste good but like I said, I give two chances I ordered today. It was probably the worst Chinese food. I’ve ever ate in my life. if that’s what you wanna call this this food is absolutely disgusting and if you eat here, you have issues Never again.

I ordered Beef and chicken teriyaki, pork fried rice , crispy sesame beef , boneless Bbq ribs . Everything is overcooked , tough and not tasty. Rice is kind of cheap quality and too chewy , hot and sour soup is the worst I've ever had , they added too much dark soy sauce and the soup is black color which doesnt look good or taste good

Asian taste is great. They do Chinese and sushi and do both well! I've only ordered delivery, which arrived quickly and they get the order right. The maki is fresh and well portioned, and holds together well. Very tasty! The Chinese combo plates are excellent and can easily feed 2. The wings are smallish but very flavorful, and the crab Rangoon is crisp and delicious. The fried rice is good but not my favorite- though it is plentiful.

I ordered from this restaurant, and got a three appetizer plate. I only like one side, so I COULD'VE gotten a plate with one appetizer, but I wanted extra so I paid EXTRA for the plate with three. They brought me a plate with BARELY one portion! Never again.

Fresh and tasty food with a welcoming sense of hospitality. My wife and I were floored at how good the food was. We expected much less, considering the reviews, but now agree people are just nuts... The fried rice was fresh and not greasy or too salty. The Orange chicken was flavorful and had an actual kick of heat from the red chilies, the hot and sour soup was full of mushrooms, beancurd, and flavor. The rangoons had a very generous amount of filling. The woman at the front was super welcoming and quick with our order. The man singing in the kitchen legitimately made us happy and excited for the food: more often than not happy cook = happy food. This was the best meal for the price that we can remember in a long time. It's definitely the best food for the dollar we've had in the States. We'll be back often, to be perfectly honest.

We did take out. It was quick, the order was correct. Food was fine. There could be a little more lamb in lamb and onions:) but whatever lamb i got was fairly tender. Fried calamari was crispy and not overly spicy. I especially like the fire ball -- delicious and light. Sesame chicken was crispy yet tender inside. Veggies lo mein and boneless ribs were fine too. Nothing crazy, but suitable for a take out night.

09/28/2025/Sunday placed a phone order so we could sit and watch NFL games. The first thing that pops into mind is the Pork Strips. For sure they were yesterdays pork strips, beyond dry. Eggroll, dry. Beef Terry, needed a steak knife to saw through it. Chicken fingers, 80% batter 20% chicken. Noodles, undercooked, fortune cookies, stale. Pork fried rice was ok, Never order from them again.

Food was nice & freshly cooked. Service was excellent. Good beverages, large selection. It's all about the food, don't look for atmosphere.

Asian Taste is our favorite Chinese spot in the area! I've gotten take-out from here at least 10 times since I moved to Medford this summer and it's always hot, fast, tasty, and generously portioned. Some of the chicken dishes can be really spicy, but we love that! Would recommend asking for them mild if you don't like spice too much.

We ordered through door dash. The food was hot and fresh. We got crab Rangoon, Sesame beef and roast pork lo mein. The lo mein noodles were more like udon noodles but we're tasty. I got a frozen strawberry lemonade. So good. They did not send utensils l, so make sure you request them.

I stopped in with my wife last night to grab a little bit of take out. The woman at the front was super welcoming. The man in the back, joyously singing, entertained us during our quick wait for the food to be cooked. We don't order this type of Chinese food often as it tends to be so hit or miss, usually falling into the "miss" category. The food we had last night was great. The fried rice was not greasy or overly salty, and tasted very fresh. The Orange chicken was tangy from the good amount of orange peel and actually had a decent spice level from the big red chilies used. My wife loves hot and sour soup, but it's usually bland or just sour and full of thickener. This soup was full of white and wood ear mushrooms, bean curd, and flavor. The obligatory crab Rangoons had a very generous amount of filling, and you could actually see what was inside instead of just being cream cheese. Quite simply: we've decided to get food here more often. We want to try some of the less "american" Chinese food as well, since that's more up our alley. We'll be back soon either way, because the food is fresh and good, and the hospitality is welcoming.

We ordered delivery here and they forgot one of our items. We called and they drove it out to us within 40 minutes which was fantastic. Overall food was just average. saving grace of this place was that you get a lot for a cheap price. All this for less than $15. Food came hot and it had a good amount of sauce on it. Steak came super chewy and dry in the lo mein

The food here strikes a nice balance of quality and price. Nothing I've ordered has been unacceptable, and most of it is quite good. Beef with Pea Pods and Moo Goo Gai Pan are good and reasonably sized for one person and come with 1/2 pint of rice, which is just enough. Good boneless spare ribs and chicken fingers. The price point for all of the dishes I have had has been quite reasonable and a can of soda can be had for under $2.00.

I was in the mood for Chinese take-out... and thought I would give Asian Taste a try, since my favorite restaurants are closed or not on Uber Eats anymore. $65 for total crap!!! The wonton soup was just salt with floating wontons with inedible filling. The main meal was passable. The best part was the white rice. Serving size of the main meal was poor. I threw out the soup.

This place deserves at least a 4.3 or higher rating. The host at the front was kind and friendly. The food came out fast, and I could tell it was not pre-cooked. The fried rice was not salty or greasy, and I could taste smokiness. Crab rangoon was so warm and crispy, with huge fillings. I could taste an actual orange flavor with a bit of pepper spice from the orange beef. I was surprised at how good their hot and sour soup was. It was the best hot and sour soup for the price! It was not starchy at all! I am going to order from this place frequently!

Great food and excellent service. The staff is always very friendly and food is ready in a timely manner.

I'm Asian American and sometimes I crave Americanized Chinese food that is authentically inauthentic. This place is great and has all the classics we wanted growing up but had to mostly eat authentic Chinese. Imagine! I love their food. Their chicken fingers are old school done well. Batter isn't too thick and despite getting delivery in Winter, arrived hot and crispy. Their duck sauce is also old school plum sauce that is just the right thick thin consistency. Crab rangoons weren't from my generation but my son says these were great. Their pork fried rice is tasty and not too greasy. The various entrees were all very good. Portion sizes are very generous. I got 3 normal sized meals from one of their lunch combo boxes. Not sure why this is rated low on yelp. It's highly rated on all the delivery apps. Trust those apps.

I got to-go and overall, it's fine Asian Taste will not be a premier Chinese takeout, or even a solid Asian-Chinese restaraunt. But it does do a good job of providing large portions. The pork fried rice is underwhelming. It lacked flavor and could benefit from having something else to go with it The lo mein was salty but still good. The chicken wing doesn't really add much other than another salty flavor as it lacks crunch or tenderness While there isn't much to give a lower rating, I'm certain there are pretty plaves to go get Asian food

Love this place! Wonton soup and spicy chicken wings are my favorite! It's good every time even when I pick up or sit to eat. Staff are so kind and thoughtful. They're usually busy, that's a good sign. I'll recommend every time! Free street parking in front and side.

We ordered based on reviews and supporting local. The food arrived timely, hot, and with great service. I ordered my favorite shrimp with lobster sauce, and it looked and smelled great. There were 6 beautiful shrimp which delighted me. Unfortunately, it was so terribly salty to the post of being inedible! I love salt, for me not to be able to handle it says a lot. Sadly, I won't go back.

Normally I don't leave reviews, but other comments don't do justice for this great gem on Middlesex Ave. This is my forth takeout in the past three weeks after my husband ordered a couple of rice plates to try out. We usually order more authentic Chinese food, I think that might be why the experience is different from other people who have tried their Americanized Chinese food. The dishes are both fresh, flavorful and great portion and most importantly consistent. I hope more people will give it a try.

Was craving for my shrimp & some Crispy Noodles last night... Keeping in mind I would run to Kowloon when I wanted Crispy Noodles, because I never knew I could get them anywhere else... So I was reading over the menu at home (I never do that)... Saw they had Pan fried Noodle & Thought... Hmmm... Thats what they are called at Kowloon... So we ordered the Veggies Noodles, Ginger & Scallion Shrimp & Scallops & My Spicy Salted Shrimp... OMG... Asian Taste has just become the best place in the world... Crispy Noodles somewhere other than Kowloon... my heart skips a beat right here... The Ginger, Scallion plate was DELISH.. I just dont love the Scallop (other than fried or broiled - somthing about me & certain fish the way its cooked)... My Shrimp was cooked PERFECTLY... I was ready to devour all of it, but wanted so desperately to have leftovers for lunch today & that I have... Im soo excited to eat it again today... Asian Taste was a 4 star for me before that (and if you know me I DONT give out 5 stars) and they totally earned their 5 stars now... Definitely a MUST TRY!!!

Went there for take out, i ordered a pork fried rice with boneless spareribs and chicken wings, (8.25$) i told the girl i don't want the boneless ribs and add one extra wing, she have the ball to charged me over 12$. I told her i just don't want the ribs and instead of 2 wings add one more wing, she kept arguing with me and i told her forget it, i walked out. Never come back again. I come here once a while for takeout and i the others staff always help me. You don't lose nothing to ad one piece of wing over few boneless spareribs. Well i need to eat, right? I'm heading to tiki island now. ( one block ahead ) Asian Taste look at the picture; Tiki Island has the pork fried rice with wings and EGG roll, PLUS is cheaper number 10 (7.80$)

Reminding myself not to order from here again. I got uber eats which went swiftly but the food is terrible. My general gau's chicken was more than 50% batter, and soggy. The sauce is mediocre. The white rice was dry, like day old dry. The crab rangoons were mediocre. Chicken fingers were 60% chicken and 40% batter.

Yummy Sesame Chicken, but that was it on this second order from Asian Taste, twice disappointed in flavorless undercooked food that did not match menu descriptions. Crispy spring rolls (6), each filled with a teeny bit of a revolting mysterious mush filling, tasteless wings, veggie lo-mein made with thick tasteless fettuccine or udon noodles minus the veggies beyond 1 slivered pea pod, undercooked Crab Rangoon that wilted during the delivery ride & the side order, a massive two quart pile of "pork fried rice", that should be relabeled as "soy laced fried rice with a few minuscule bits of dried up pork", along with beef teriyaki that was more like an indigestible piece ofbeef jerky Regret paying $20 delivery fees for 2 food orders totaling $110 .

Ordered delivery and it took about an hour, but honestly was worth it! Really good food with huge portions that actually arrived HOT! Ordered chicken with broccoli dinner combo. Chicken was high quality and veggies were fresh. Pork fried rice was also pretty good, not greasy. Appetizers were very generous size as well.

I realize that I made a grave error in ordering here. I'm the idiot who ordered Pad Thai from a restaurant that is known for Chinese food. ... I am not sure what this was, but wow was it awful Pad Thai. It seemed that the only ingredient was fish sauce... Blech. I would try again, but for only for more standard Chinese food options. Though, the delivery was incredibly fast during a busy time of day!

Best Sesame Chicken I've found around Boston. My wife enjoyed her meal as well and agreed it was the best Chinese food we've found in Boston.

Ordered a small delivery order at 7:15pm. An hour went by so we called, they gave us the standard "It's on its way." Another half an hour goes by. We call again and the woman says: "The driver is outside your house." - First lie; he was not outside "Oh, he went to the wrong place." - Second lie, because it was followed by... "Oh something happened wrong with the order." We then asked for a cancellation and a refund, and they REFUSED to reimburse us. Will deal with Grubhub directly.

I ordered the veggie lomein and it was horrible. Noodles were large, pale and bland. No real vegetables, only a lot of onions and beansprouts. I won't be ordering from this restaurant again. I used to order from here and the food was good about 3 years ago. Then the ownership changed and the food slowly went down hill. The quality and flavor has gone down more and more each year.

I ordered pad thai from this place...This is not really pad thai It barely has any taste

I ordered a pad thai with tofu and 2 orders of vegetable spring rolls. The spring roll had great flavor and texture. The pad thai with tofu was orange and bland. The smell of it was unbearable, it wasn't not palatable. It was just a big plate of orange sticky noddles. I don't not recommend ordering pad thai here. If you love pad thai i recommend DAKZEN. Also, there was a young child riding a scooter in the customer order and pick up area. The child is super adorable and was innocently playful. However , the issue is that the child was bumping into the customers who were there. I would only order spring rolls here again. I suggest you give this place a try if you are familiar to there style of food or are adventurous about food. Good luck!

I've been ordering here since 2007 and every time they've made a mistake. I've been very understanding every time but today was extremely disappointing. She overcharged me today. Whem i called to tell them they were telling me thats what i ordered. She refused to give the money back and kept arguing with me. The delivery guy was also extremely rude and was yelling inside my apartment building. My advice to all of you is to always check your bill and check your food.

I ordered on DoorDash and everything was so delicious I couldn't believe the low ratings it had online. Pork and Chinese Cabbage dumplings were awesome, and the sesame chicken was some of the best I've had. Definitely would and will order from here again :)

Just found this piece of hard plastic in my beef with pea pods. I was hoping it was a piece of my lid that maybe broke off but nope. I have no idea what this is when I bit into it it felt like a bone. I've been trying to refrain from eating Chinese food but I had built up some confidence and decided to give it another shot. I'm done with Chinese food for a while. Be careful, check you food before you eat. I just hope this was a piece of plastic from some lid that accidentally fell in there and not something that has been on the floor or something.

They give a lot of food which is great. I ordered an appetizer combo with general gau's chicken, chicken wings, and an egg roll. The pork fried rice was good. The only thing I didn't like was the gau's chicken- way too much breading and hardly any chicken or sauce. Also ordered the chicken noodle soup- it's a huge container of noodles and chicken. Not seasoned or sauced at all though but good once you add things. Giving four stars because overall taste could've been better, but I would definitely order here again. Would give 4.5 stars if I could.

This place has gone downhill in the very short time I've been ordering from them. Portions have gotten smaller. They've forgotten food on my orders. I ordered Spring Rolls, only one was in the bag. 3 pieces of broccoli in the general gau's chicken. There was empty fortune cookie wrappers in the bottom of my bag. never again. never again. never again.

I should've researched this place before ordering. Really foul. Pu Pu Platter was unappetizing to eat or even look at. Pukey-est eating experience I've had in quite some time. Worst of all, I handed out a substantial chunk of bread to get this crud fetched for me with UberEats. What a waste. Time to start eating healthy, man. Hahaha

We got Chinese food for NYE. We had it ordered for 7pm. My husband got there at 630 and it was already bagged and waiting. We paid $90 for this food. It was cold, gross and the grease sat at the roof of our mouths. My niece got really sick from it. We threw most of it out, that's how bad it was. I definitely wont be going back here.

Just picked up orange chicken with fried rice and boneless sparerib with chicken wing combo. Will never go back and i will let everyone i know that it was awful! the boneless ribs were all fat!! 2 little chicken wings.2 little pieces broccoli.The rice was hard!!!What a rip off!!

Delicious food with generous portions. Only gave a 4 because the delivery was a little off and took an hour. So worth the wait! Priced well for quality and quantity.

I ordered the shrimp with veggies udon 11.55 and Cantonese rice noodles 8.95. They only gave a tiny portion of udon for a few bites and the veggies were not fresh at all - rotten. Gross! The rice noodles were not even stir fried - they were just boiled and mixed with a few pieces of eggs, shrimp and pork. This did not seem to be prepared by a chef. No sauce and no taste! I could cook better food. I dumped them in the trash. This restaurant gave you poor quality food. Don't waste your money! I wish I could give negative 5 stars.

Wow!! This place has gone way down. I order chicken wings, which use to have a really nice flavor, now, they've actually made me sick. Dumplings are ok, dipping sauce, not so good. Just a reminder of why this place never comes to mind first. Will stick to my old stand by who always has consistently good food.

Fried calamari was pretty good. It tasted fresh but needs more salt and spices. The lettuce and sautéed onions at the bottom were a nice touch to it. I would order it again.

Ok, I'll try to be as concise as possible. I started going to Asian Taste when they opened. Food was excellent, consistently excellent or A+ as we would say. Over the years the food has gone slowly downhill and you never knew what part of your order was going to be off to a certain degree. Well we decided to try Asian Taste again today, spent $110 dollars for what the best of it could rated a C. The egg foo young was mushy and greasy and the gravy was tasteless with big lumps and a half inch of grease on the top . The chicken wings looked like they had been sitting around for a while(cold). One of my favorites, pork chop suey was inedible (bland with a funny taste and mushy veg). Beef lo mein had funny tasting beef extra thick noodles and hardly any veg. Chicken fingers were thickly battered to the point where the inner batter was raw, had to be reheated in the oven just to make edible. Overall, this was our last trip to Asian Taste.

Absolutely delicious. I have tried a number of items on the menu, but just to draw attention to a few... The pan-fried Peking ravioli is incredible. The wrapping is thin, not thick and doughy like some other restaurants, and it comes in two order sizes (like almost everything on the menu). I absolutely love the vegetable pan fried Chinese angel hair noodles. The dish is always heaping with yummy veggies, the brown sauce is really tasty, and the noodles are delightfully crispy. A regular order will easily feed you 2-3 times. I always judge Chinese take-out by the quality of the moo shi, and Asian Taste has a delicate, satisfying moo shi option. They also have a special "On the Lighter Side" area offering steamed combinations, and promise that any menu item can be modified to be lower fat or lower sodium at your request. I have tried every Chinese restaurant in Malden and Medford that delivers to my Malden address, and this is by far my favorite.

The best thing about Asian Taste is their extensive menu - and that they'll bring food from their menu to your house, while you sit around and drink beer.* They have some pretty sweet combo options, which makes this seem even better. Too bad the food is incredibly disappointing. Well, the scallion pancakes were okay, but pretty much everything else completely blah and would have benefited from a healthy dash of MSG. Portions were big, but since the taste was so bland we ended up throwing most of it away. Out of a group of eight, most of whom ordered combos, only one person liked their food. Six people felt "meh" about their food. The last person ate Triscuits in lieu of Chicken Phat Thai. We tried each other's food, but nobody was wowed by anything anyone else ordered. We unanimously voted to recycle their menu. On the plus side, you could feed this to toddlers without worrying about it being too spicy or overly umami for them. *Or wine. Or Capri Sun(TM).

I really like this place. They are incredibly fast and friendly--unlike some other local chinese joints *cough* Lucky Star *cough* Wonder Taste. They deliver food to my door in about 20 minutes and its always filled to the top of the containers, neatly bagged, includes silverware, sauces, and cookies aplenty. The food is really quite good. The General Tso's chicken is my favorite and is the perfect blend of sweet and hot. The rice is plentiful and delicious. The teriyaki is great. The only disappointing thing I've had so far have been the peking ravioli which are kinda small, dry, and flavorless. Everything else I've had has been top notch. Best of all about this place--you can make your own combination plates for a set price. No picking something from a limited menu and being charged for substitutions and all that crap. Just pick a dish, one or two appetizers, white or fried rice, and you're good to go for under $10. Try this place out!

Yuk Yuk Yuk!!!!!!!! Worst Chinese Food I have ever eaten. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chicken was very sketchy. They are using inferior food, no question about it. Crab Rangoon, which is hard to screw up, didn't contain any crab. Even pork fried rice was terrible. As I type this my stomach is rumbling and I wouldn't be surprised in the least if I was sick. Serves me right, this place has gotten worse and worse and the last time I tired it, 2 years ago, it was bad but I guess I kind of hoped it had improved. Please, for your stomach, do something else for lunch or dinner.

I heart you Asian Taste. I heart you since I lived in Malden and was a poor college student, so whatever food I had, I had to make sure it was worth the price. I heart you for giving me big portions, so not only can I have it for dinner, but lunch the next day. I heart you for having my favorites Chinatown specialties, like satay beef chow fun and spicy salted shrimp. Now, I'm older and not as broke. I still heart you. Why, cause you will deliver to Melrose and I can continue to have my satay beef chow fun and spicy salted shrimp.
