"Meanwhile, the city of Novi has approved the sale of a 10-acre property for a new development dubbed “Asian Village,” according to Crain’s. The development — still in the early planning stages — would feature a 25,000-square-foot marketplace from True World Group with retail, a karaoke bar, and a variety of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese restaurants." - Brenna Houck

Google
I just placed my first order from Asian Village. So, I'm not able to give an honest review about anything other than be able to place an order online. Placing my order online was very easy! The only thing I noticed was there were no descriptions about the different food items on the menu. I believe a description would be helpful for most people. "Especially if someone is interested in trying something new". The description of the different food items on the menu would help anyone make a decision. Further more I believe that would create extra sales. So it's a win for your customers and Asian Village. I placed a somewhat large order, for my family of 4, about 7 different items. So, I will update my review, once I have received my order. And everybody has finished our meals. Looking forward to receiving my order and trying what should be a very good meal. At least if everybody was honest about the reviews. Thank you Tom 🧊

Google
The Wonton was light and fresh.. I'm not sure if they make the dumplings.. But it's one of the best I've ever had... Definitely going to order something else from the menu

Every time I order I get exactly what I what. I even some times put special notes in for the restaurant and they always follow the order. Food is always hot and good. Great prices as well. I have no complaints..My favorite and only place I order chinese from.

Google
I found this restaurant by accident one day during my lunch break. The food is always tasty and fresh, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. My family enjoyed my leftovers so much that I've driven from Somerdale to Woodbury, passing several Asian restaurants, just for their food. No complaints here.

Google
It was delivery, veggie fried rice was not good, onions were too big and white, little amount of veggies. Beef and broccoli were a hit and delicious.

Best General Tso's around. Very friendly staff. They will repeat your order back to you, so there is no mistakes. You get what you ask for everytime.

I work next door at Polished Nails and this is one of our go-to spots to order when we’re hungry. They’re so friendly and always deliver fast efficient service!

Yelp
I always order the party trays here when I have gatherings & they never disappoint. Everything is fresh & tastes delicious especially the wings, they're bomb! Owners/workers are really nice also.

Yelp
The tale of two cities or it takes a village ... such is my story of my visit to the Asian Village. I have my "go to"place but I felt that urge for some Chinese take-out; I know you have had that same feeling because otherwise you'd not be checking out the reviews for the Asian Village. The Village sits back in a nondescript plaza that actually has a sense of loneliness to it. When you glance at the windows and doors your curiosity is piqued wondering what this place was like back in the pre-Covid days when table service was part of their trade. The interior is covered in plastic sheeting creating a barrier from what was once the seating area. The narrow hallway leads you to the front desk where orders are taken. I was thrilled to see a sign mandating masks for service and also encouraging social distancing. These people seem to care. And, caring friendly service was what I received at the front desk where I was greeted with a warm smile. I felt welcomed and that alone says something these days. A simple luncheon special was my choice; I did note that the village has a very extensive menu including some "healthy options." My wait was less than promised and we parted with friendly wishes. The woman's smile never left her face. So, now feeling good about the Village I head home for lunch and iit was very obvious that this meal came from two parts of town. My hot and sour soup while offering a blend of classic tastes must have been prepared in the village salt mines. I rarely do not finish soups but I felt like I was drinking liquid sodium and even though I liked the soup's basic flavoring .... well the trash can ended up with half of my soup. The Hunan Beef however must have been prepared right in the village's farm district because each vegetable in this "fast cooked" meal had substance and actually tasted distinctly like the vegetable that went freshly into the wok. The carrots had crunch and tasted like carrots, the broccoli likewise had no signs of limping into my take out carrier they were so perfect! The peppers were fresh and the beef was tenderly good! Their Human sauce was rather mild even though the menu said "spicy" but that was ok. The rice was perfect and a nice contrast with the sauce although I did add sauce to the rice. Now the "bakery" well not quite sure if a bakery is where the fried noodles were prepared but they were fresh albeit a little oily. And, the standard prepackaged fortune cookies were already destined to join the salty soup ... no, I have found out what my fortunate was ... hope that's not a sign of bad luck. Today, it was good luck ... super service a good value for the price ... a business concerned with my health ... and how I love fresh crunchy veggies in stir fry, which proves they haven't been sitting around forever. I will forgive the salt mine's contribution because the meal left me happy and I am sure I will return but next time I will check out the Won Ton Soup to see whether it is prepared next to the salt too,

Yelp
Just stopped in for some takeout and got some crab raccoons. They were excellent a good quantity with some delicious sauce. Ready in five minutes. Great for takeout. I haven't eaten in the restaurant yet but take out food so far has been really good.!!

Yelp
Great atmosphere in the restaurant, very much like a mom and pop shop. If you do plan on ordering Chinese go with Asian village!

Melissa R.

Yelp
Favorite dumpling place that's nearby. We currently live across the street but we're moving next week and I can guarantee we'll still stop by here for the dumplings

Yelp
I called and had some questions about some items. I had to call back a few times not knowing about what I wanted. And when I eventually figured out what I wanted THEY BLOCKED ME!? WTH They may have thought I was doing it on purpose, BUT I W ASN'T!?!? WTH I still want food:(

Yelp
My wife and I ordered some takeout. We were too tired to go out and didn't feel like cooking. Expectations were low--we were just looking for someone who would deliver. Our expectations were exceeded by Asian Village. Delivery was quick. The food was still hot. The quality of the food was better than we expected. The dumplings weren't those thick, doughy type that are so heavy. They were actually quite good. The egg rolls weren't greasy. They were perfectly cooked, crispy and delicious.

Yelp
Stopped in here today for lunch. Decided to eat it there since they have plenty of seating. Shrimp with spicy garlic sauce lunch combo w/ hot & sour soup. The garlic sauce was excellent! The shrimp (4 of them) were fresh, big, plump, and cooked perfectly. Fresh broccoli, carrots, peppers, and onions in the sauce along with a large serving of pork fried rice. Overall very well done! Soup had good spice but temperature was a little cool. Everything else was nice and hot and spice was bold but not overdone. Kitchen had just a few orders and I could see that it wouldn't take much to overwhelm them. Elderly Mom & Pop getting somewhat in the way of Kitchen man and Lady running the counter and taking care of all orders. She was the bomb! Great stop for a late lunch (after the lunch rush is well over) Food is good and reasonable.

Yelp
We order for the first time today. We ordered boneless rib combo, general tsos combo, fried rice & pizza rolls. The food was good. They did not mess up anything, usually we order from other places & they always put onions when we say no onions. We will def be ordering soon!

Bradlee M.

Yelp
I was looking for Chinese delivery and found this place. The entree I ordered was great but they screwed up my order and gave me 4 egg rolls not 2 egg rolls and 2 spring rolls. Otherwise its a great place for delivery.

Jane S.

Yelp
I've ordered from here for years, I can only say I really like their General Tso Combination dinner, and the Chicken and Broccoli Combination dinner. I recommend this place.

Brian G.

Yelp
Food is always hot and good. Normally no problems, however today we ordered delivery. We almost always get the same thing. When the food came both orders were wrong. I called back. After arguing that I didn't order the wrong food (even the receipt was correct) they agreed to send the proper order. What I found odd was that they wanted the wrong food back. Not that I wanted it, but What are they going to do with it? Hopefully not reuse it. Like I said, normally there aren't any problems. But that bothered me a little.

William M.

Yelp
Good food. Fast to pick up and quick delivery. What more can you want for Chinese food?

Leslie G.

Yelp
This place used to be good... but they started using lower quality meat. Then my friend found an acrylic nail in her food, which they wouldn't take responsibility for. Never going back!

Chas W.

Yelp
My go to Chinese delivery spot! Great steamed dumplings, Chinese pizza, hot n sour soup, egg rolls, spring rolls, general Taos, sweet n sour chicken. All time favorite dish there might be the curry chicken n onions.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
We waited an 1 1/2 hours for delivery. When it finally got here the order was wrong. The food we did receive was cold and horrid tasting. I called, but customer service and satisfaction clearly are not a priority at Asian Village. I ended up tossing the food that I paid $25 for and cooking dinner. Save yourself time and money and don't order from Asian Village!

Dan F.

Yelp
One time we ordered they forgot to give us the sweet and sour sauce. But no real issues. Food is always good.

Troy D.

Yelp
I ordered the Shredded HOt and Spicy beef, and Teriyaki beef skewers. The eggroll that came with the meal was not good. Dry and tasteless. The shredded beef was not spicy but that generic sweet sauce that most chinese joints use way too much of. The Teriyaki beef skewers were dry. The fried rice was was very bland and generic. Coupled with a long delivery time, this was not a good meal and a reminder to stick to my normal goto place for chinese food.

Kathy W.

Yelp
Never again! I used the online ordering from their website. When food didn't arrive, I called to see where it was. Was told they never received the order although the website said the order was placed successfully. I gave them the order and they said it would be delivered in approx 30 min. After 2 hours from the original order, the food came. It was NOT worth the wait! Lousy food. My daughter called to complain. No apology, no discount for the inconvenience, nothing. Never again!

Chris C.

Yelp
See the comments about "bringing the bad food back"...they did the same thing to me! This place STINKS!!!
