Summary: We went with the intention to scan our feet and get recommendations for shoes and purchase something that suits us but the experience made us very disappointed with Asics (which we used to love. Currently, wearing a Kayano 31 and used to have many other Asics shoe including nimbus).
Please DO NOT go if you plan to use the 3D feet scanning service.
They do not want to do it for you and are trying all ways to make you give up.
1) When we first arrived, they said we have to wait for 30 mins before we can do the feet scanning despite nobody else is using nor waiting. While the shop has other customers viewing shoes, they have more than sufficient staff standing around to spare one to help us with it.
So, when we say "okay, we will wait". Within like two minutes, one staff come to us and say "okay, let me help you with the scanning"
2) Then, the staff tried again to make us give up by saying that "this machine will basically ONLY measure the length of your feet, are you sure you want to do it?"
We thought since we traveled down for it, might as well and we also did not really believe that it will only measure that given such a sophisticated looking machine.
Indeed, the machine gives many more interesting measurements than JUST the length of your feet.
Only after we insisted on doing the scanning then the staff switched from a reluctant mode to the enthusiastic selling mode.
He started using the "measurements" to persuade us that our feet are suitable for the more expensive models like Kayano (for my wife) and Nimbus (for me).
Of course, we did not choose to buy there given how reluctant and poor the attitude were initially.
Btw, it seems like the measurements could be sent to us via email. Instead the staff just told us to use our phone to take photos of the screen. What the..
