We visited as a group of 6 and made a reservation on the morning of our visit. Regrettably, we were sat by a door at the back of the tavern; a door which leads to the courtyard and WC. This door was left open throughout the evening, even after mentioning feeling cold and requesting that it be closed.
The meal itself was nice, however, I found it a bit expensive for what it was. There's no fireplace, views or live music. Most meyhanes in Turkey do offer live music at the weekends, this one does not. So, for me there was nothing to account for the high prices. It's only slightly cheaper than the local Michelin star restaurants. They also asked us if we minded if some people smoke inside, which was an uncomfortable request, as people were looking at us and waiting for our response.
The host was lovely however I doubt I'll be visiting again.
