Aspen alpin lifestyle hotel

The Aspen Alpin was a great choice for our family. The beds were comfortable, we had a great view of the Alps from our balcony, and the sauna/spa was expansive and relaxing. The breakfast had so many options of which to choose - not just a continental buffet breakfast. Dinner was great - another diner told us that she's come back for years just to have the hamburger! I can say that the burger was AMAZING! When I had an injury, the staff went out of their way to provide me with multiple bags of ice and asked how I was doing. |The only negatives are that the hotel is a good 10 minute drive from town and there are very limited taxis. Therefore you really have to rely on the public free bus which only goes to the Aspen once/hour. Also, there is no elevator in the hotel and it has a lot of stairs. |I would definitely go back as the service was great and the food was amazing!

This is exactly what we were looking for when we booked this hotel. We love the proximity to the slopes and the rural landscape and views. We much preferred this to staying in town. We liked that the hotel was family owned and operated, and we loved the spa. We recommend this for people who appreciate an alpine environment. Most of the negative reviews seem to come from folks who aren’t looking for an active vacation, but would prefer to perhaps be in the Ritz. We thought the food was delicious, and the rooms were warm and cozy. We also very much appreciated the chef’s kindness in creating a custom saffron risotto for my partner, who is vegetarian. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here. (If you wake up early, you may even see a fox or a barn cat running across the slopes)

A wonderful hotel, a little out of the center of Grindelwald. The hotel in itself has a great atmosphere. The room was nicely decorated, very modern and clean.|The spa is not that big, but fitted us very well. It was also clean. Not that, except for the outside jacuzzi, it is a naked zone.|The restaurant of the hotel is a must try. We were lucky to stay at the hotel during hu ting season. All the dished that we were served were wonderfully presented, and absolutely delicious.|Definitely a hotel I recommend and a want to visit again soon!

Very happy with our short stay. The suite was furnished to a high standard and very comfortable. The log fire a real plus.|Staff were friendly and helpful and actually knew how to run a hotel. (Recent experience in other 4/5* hotels on this trip involved fairly chaotic levels of service with young trainees and students lacking proper supervision)|We chose to dine in and didn’t regret it. Excellent combination of food and service. Breakfast also a good combination of buffet and a la carte served quickly ( important when you want to get out on the slopes). All round 5 stars! We were here in March 2024 with a smaller group for skiing. Excellent Hotel, good service, good location. Ski in (if enough snow) and good parking for cars. Bar is nice and invites to sit until late. We enjoyed our time here and can recommend this Hotel.

This is the 3rd time we stayed in Aspen Alpin Hotel and the team there continues to offer great hospitality and service.|The hotel remains at the top of the hotels in Grindelwald. The owners and their team provide great attention to details in order to make you feel at home. It starts with the warm welcome from the moment you enter the reception. |The luxury family suite we stayed in was spectacular: spacious, 2 balconies with great view, large rooms and a very big 'living' area.|As for the food, with choices between local specials and international cuisine, this is also one of the better places in Grindelwald.|Worth mentioning that the hotel also provides an optional shuttle service and can take care of all your ticket bookings (ski pass, travel pass,..).|Looking forward to the next winter season in Aspen Alpin Hotel.

A beautiful hotel with great service and amenities. It’s in a great location for any season if you enjoy the mountain more than the crowd of a resort. The spa provides a great relaxing atmosphere, while the restaurant quality is great and the service lovely. My son loved the mezzanine and the room was great for all. Really a perfect stay 👍

We had a lovely two room apartment. Living with dining table and seating area. One bathroom with bath and the other room is equipped with a douche. Sauna and pool. Ski in and out was not open when we were there. Outside parking is safe and plenty of room. Restaurants and bar are great. Cocktail and wine menu are very nice. When we were there the restaurant had a daily menu of 85 Swiss francs. No cooking allowed in the apartment
