"There’s no rhubarb foam or foie gras dusted with 24k gold but Aspen Grille flawlessly executes classics like shrimp cocktail, racks of lamb, and perfectly seared scallops. It’s one of the top old-school, fine dining establishments found in Myrtle Beach." - Andre James

So minus a slight mishap of a nut allergy from an appetizer I must say the food was very well flavored and our server was very nice. Once the person I was with had his reaction I will say i am a little disappointed on the fact that no manager came out to make sure things were okay and all they did was take of the app that created the issue. Even though we mentioned to the server of the nut allergy as we ordered the berry salad and got the nuts on the side as one of us could eat them. So we ordered the octopus app( that caused the issue) and as the fact of an allergic reaction happening, I feel as though the restaurant should have done more than just remove the app as he ended up being sick because of it. I would probably go again but I guess just make sure before ordering anything! I will say for us getting our food Togo it was very well packaged. No hard feelings to our server either as she did a great job at checking in asking if we needed anything

Fantastic evening celebrating my birthday. Our first visit here did NOT disappoint. The service, food and ambiance was amazing. I definitely recommend the Tiramisu martini for your dessert. It will close out the perfect evening. Precious, our server, was amazing. Makes all the difference.

Google
We’re in Myrtle Beach for vacation/1st year anniversary. We looked for a romantic cozy spot and this place came with many reviews. Blake was our server and he was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. My husband loved his cocktail and I loved my mocktail. Steaks were cooked to perfection and dessert was spot on! Definitely will be back next time we’re in town.

Google
We had such a great experience, the food was delicious. The appetizer was delicious and the special drink of the evening was too. Our server was polite and took great care of us. Thank you!

Google
We came to the area for our anniversary. Everything was wonderful! Amanda was our server and the service was beyond wonderful! We were served bread with a sweet cream butter (very tasty on it's own), but she explained it is unsalted butter, and served with 3 salts to try. Then I ordered the elk chops and my husband had the rack of lamb (6 bone), followed by the creme brulee and bluberry bread pudding. I cannot think of a word other than perfection across the board. We loved it, and highly recommend.

We initially had reservations with another restaurant in the area for our anniversary, however said establishment called within an hour of our arrival time stating they could not honor the reservation due to an unexpected maintenance issue. While this was disappointing due to the occasion, & the fact we are visiting from out of state, we fully believe it was a blessing in disguise. Aspen Grille & staff for us in last minute without hesitation, in addition to honoring our anniversary. Witnessed a complaint in regard to wait time, however I’d like to acknowledge this seemed to be more of a “lingering customer” issue vs a staff issue. From the moment we were seated, service was excellent. Food was exceptional & the best we have had dining out in quite some time. This is saying a lot considering we live in a major city & frequent high end establishments often. Apps, entrees & cocktails all were amazing. Very extensive drink/wine menus, cozy atmosphere and exceptional service on behalf of the staff. Thank you again, Aspen! You turned our evening around & we left with the urge to recommend to anyone in/or visiting the area.

In a destination where many settle for “good enough,” this restaurant consistently delivers something far beyond — a truly exceptional experience. Every visit feels special, not by chance, but by design. The entire team’s dedication to excellence is evident in every detail, from the warm yet precise service to the artistry on each plate. What makes this place extraordinary is not just the impeccable quality, but the rare consistency they maintain in the heart of a busy tourist hub. It’s a testament to their passion, discipline, and unwavering commitment to creating memorable moments for every guest. Thank you, Roland — you’ve created an extraordinary venue where our family and friends can enjoy a truly luxurious dining experience right here in Myrtle Beach.

Google
Love the decor and a great cocktail menu. Bread was hot ,served with 3 kinds of salts and butter. Ordered ceasar salad, baked French onion soup, very ,cheesy flavorful. Liz was our server, very enjoyable to talk with. Very attentive truly a gem. The new york strip and rosemary potatoes. Steak cooked to perfection. Dessert was the Blueberry bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and flour less chocolate cake. Perfect end to a great meal.

William G.

Yelp
Special occasion dinner at Aspen our first time here. Reservations recommended, we chose an evening Sunday. Sparking water, bread with three different salt tastes. Specials for appetizer and entree my wife chose, oysters/grouper. I went for scallops as that's my fave lately at beach. We were provided with a free champagne toast for anniversary, nice touch. What really was memorable for me was the bread pudding with one scoop vanilla ice cream, excellent. I also partook in the Lemoncello Digestif, after dinner liqueur to settle a full stomach. Everything was excellent, don't be alarmed by the bill, charge.

Yelp
We hit this place up without reservations or dressing up and sat at the bar... one of the best dining experiences! Food is exquisite and eating in a casual but refined setting (bar is pretty, well lit, and staff super attentive) made it that much better.

Richard N.

Yelp
Absolutely a must to enjoy a great meal, great service and great cocktails and wine selection. We ordered escargot and it was delish. I learned I am not a fan of cheese on them and would get them without next time (and there will be a next time) but this is not their fault, just a taste preference of mine. Al steaks ordered were perfectly cooked to order, most were Med. Rare. Steak flavor was spot on! Place was clean and the decor was very cool. We will return.

Hector R.

Yelp
Food, service & ambiance was great for our party of four. Not super crazy about the lamb chops but the seafood plate were exceptional. Will return when the welfare check is direct deposited. Just kidding . Better have some high coin in your wallet here though.

Clarence N.

Yelp
This was our 2nd time visiting Aspen Grill. There has been a total of 6 meals ordered and not one complaint. The food is incredible. Rarely (pun intended) can you order a steak out and get it the exact temperature you ordered. This ribeye was spot on. I can't fail to mention the service is impeccable. First visit we had Precious and this last visit Kyle. Both very attentive and well versed with menu and specials. We enjoy dining at both your restaurants. Keep up the good work.

Alicia N.

Yelp
Amazing dinner - went with the special the server recommended- delicious. Love the ambience and excellent service.

Nathalie C.

Yelp
The ambiance is really nice. Our waitress Melissa was fantastic, on top of her game, friendly, and always came to our table at the right moment. The food was delicious, lots of flavor and well presented. The location is great, and easy to park. The host was amicable and professional. A gem of a place.

Dan D.

Yelp
Aspen Grille is a *great* spot in Myrtle Beach. (AG is a sister restaurant to Bistro 90, I'd estimate ~60% similarity in the menus.) The food is top tier: steaks, poultry, pork and fish. Sides are fantastic with desserts to match. The service was friendly and high-end. The atmosphere is upscale, but not over the top. I'd recommend reservations as I suspect AG gets busy in-season and rightfully so.

Aram K.

Yelp
We found this restaurant from a recommendation by Hilton grand vacations club resorts. The service here was excellent, our waitress Melissa was very attentive and the bartender Greg was a badass mixologist and super friendly. The ambiance of the place was upscale casual, so fancy but you don't have to walk in with business attire. It's rare when I go somewhere and I actually like every single item I order but it happened here. The free bread was soft yet had a slight crisp on the outside, the flavored salt board was a cool touch where we had black lava salt, siracha salt and I forgot the third one. The fried oysters were really awesome, they had a spicy aoli under them and was served with mixed greens tossed in a delicious dressing and pickled jalapeños. I mixed some of together and put it on top of the bread and ate each oyster like a sandwich with the sauce and lettuce and it was heavenly. The mushroom risotto was really great. I can't say it was the best I've ever had, but it was shockingly good to have it this good in a small town like Myrtle beach. It probably made it on my top 10 risotto I can remember having. There was that subtle umami taste in the sauce and the mushrooms with that creaminess of the sauce and the scallops were cooked perfectly. I made sure to bite into everything at once The lamb chops were cooked perfectly, they weren't chewy, they were soft fatty and tender you could cut it with a butter knife. The grits were amazing too as a side dish. The blueberry pudding was really good too but the salted caramel ice cream on top really sealed the deal for us! Update: we came back the next day and Greg made me a happy birthday martini and we had the pork chop both were excellent I would definitely come back again

Julie C.

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance were pure perfection at Aspen Grille. We started with perfectly cooked calamari and fresh bread with an array of salts to try. Our entrees came quickly and were outstanding. This was the best meal of the trip.

Lisa B.

Yelp
My husband and I ate here last week. What doesn't look like much from the front is absolutely amazing when you walk inside. Our server was fantastic and super attentive. The food was absolutely unbelievable! From the homemade bread to the crabcake appetizer to the French onion soup, and finally surf and turf. Every mouthful we ate was, fantastic! I highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion you have. My husband also said that he had the best old-fashioned drink he had ever had. If I had to rate this restaurant, I would rate it 12 out of 10!

Carmen W.

Yelp
This was a great find! The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. We enjoyed testing out 3 different salts with our bread at the start of the meal. Our favorite was a siracha salt. If you are a fan of French onion soup then I would recommend trying it here the broth was amazing. When it was time to order our meals we chose a variety of items and I am listing them from best to good. Scallops these were cooked perfectly and were the on top of mushroom risotto(I think this has to be the best thing on the menu). Lamb chops were cooked medium and were tender. The ribeye was seared nicely and miso salmon good but tasted more like a ginger salmon which is also a good thing. For dessert we had the bread pudding and caramel cake.

Tia B.

Yelp
We've been coming here since we moved to Myrtle Beach. The food has always been delicious. This has consistently been one of my favorite restaurants in Myrtle Beach. Took a break from dinning here after the last time over a year ago. We were still enjoying our desert and after dinner drinks and the waiter handed us the check. Made me feel totally uncomfortable and that we had to rush out. Gave it another try a week ago and it was totally great again food was perfect and the server was friendly and attentive. And didn't hand me the check till we asked for it. Back in my list of favorite places.

Jason B.

Yelp
The food was great, everything tasted fresh and delicious . Service was good The server forgot our salads but made up for it by buying us drinks. He was super nice ,just think he was real busy. The ambiance was nice low light white table cloths .

Debbie Y.

Yelp
We choose Aspen Grille to celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary. The service was attentive and the food was delicious. Thank you for a wonderful meal and nice ambiance,

Odalis R.

Yelp
I went in early on a Saturday night and sat at the bar. It was early so there were only a few other people in the restaurant. I ordered their spicy Maui margarita and it had a kick but was delicious. They make a strong drink. They provided bread with butter prior to my entree. I ordered the special which was halibut with rice and haricot verts but since I hate green beans they switched it out for sautéed spinach. It was delicious and the service was nice. The lady at the bar was very attentive and friendly. Will be back again next time I'm in town. This would probably be a nice place for a romantic dinner.

Mary B.

Yelp
Excellent service and food. French onion soup was the best I have had in a long while.

Alan S.

Yelp
The food was flawless, and the wait staff super attentive without being pushy. Their attention to our occasion for being there is what set this place apart. From calling for a reservation forward they celebrated our 15th anniversary with us and made it special. Great steaks and great salads if that's what you're after. You will not be disappointed!

Rafael C.

Yelp
Was our first time. We walked in and walked out. We made it as far as the bar and had to leave. The stench inside was unbearable. I don't know if it was the old carpet or bathrooms, but it was bad. The hostess suggested it was an issue with the city of Myrtle Beach and sewage. But I don't know, there was no odor outside at all. I hate this because we really love Bistro 90 and was hopeful that we could find another gem locally. Will keep an eye on reviews and maybe try again, but for now, keeping our distance.

Rick A.

Yelp
Food way way over priced for what you get. Save yourself the trouble unless you like to throw away money. Service was lacking and the food leaves you wantin.

Wilma T.

Yelp
The food was done to perfection. The crème brûlée was amazing. Melissa our wait staff was accommodating, friendly and professional. I would recommend this restaurant highly.

Kris D.

Yelp
Great low lit Italian restaurant vibe Waitress was very informative and attentive Food was incredible. Both of us said it was the best dishes of the trip and some of the best food ever. Expect to pay for it but absolutely well worth it. Extremely happy we decided to go here.

Veronica Y.

Yelp
Great environment and the food was good ! I recommend this place for a nice quiet evening !

Carrie A.

Yelp
Very unassuming on the outside but so worth the $$$! My hubby and I went for our 25 th wedding anniversary. I had the special which was caramelized grouper topped with crabmeat in the most amazing sauce! No pics because it was just that good I couldn't stop to take one. The baguette with soft butter and various salts to dip in were different and so good! Service was impeccable. They gave us a free champagne toast when they found out it was our anniversary. Would definitely go again!!

Christine M.

Yelp
It was just OK! for what they charge I expected way better! I probably could have made a better meal at home. Our server was wonderful though. The restaurant is very old from the inside. We were visiting from out of town but go often I don't think it will be a return visit for us!

Irasema L.

Yelp
Awesome food, ambience and service! Definitely best experience in fine cuisine at Myrtle Beach.

Keith B.

Yelp
Amazing meal for my wife and I during our recent visit to Myrtle Beach. We will be back during our next visit.

Michele R.

Yelp
Ate there last night. Great wine selection. Amazing French onion soup, filets. Wish we saved room for dessert. Maybe next time

Jerry T.

Yelp
Well, back again after a few years . The restaurant apparently changed hands however the quality of the service is still top notch. It's a great place for special occasion or a business meeting. We came back for our wedding anniversary. The service was top notch. I won't go into the menu, everything was excellent. If you are a male carnivore; this is not a place for a steak dinner. It's a place for a romantic dinner.Drinks were excellent. Service was professional. My advice: don't order a Steak. For whatever reason , I've had two. Both awful.

Jessica S.

Yelp
If you're looking for elegance and fine dining, you've found it! This is a must-go every time we're in Myrtle. The food and service has never disappointed us. We mentioned in our reservation that it was our wedding anniversary, there was a nice anniversary card waiting on us at our table. My husband tries something new each time, usually getting the special for that night. We have never been let down with anything we've ordered! This is fine dining, so plan to spend a couple hours for dinner. I truly hope this place continues to succeed and will be around for many years to come!

Alison S.

Yelp
Food was WAY overpriced. Service was good but the kitchen was slow and you can't blame the server for that. Atmosphere sucked and the bathroom was gross. I paid for dinner for two people what is equivalent to my car payment and I'm disgusted by it.

Tony S.

Yelp
Calamari spot on Bread and butter/salt nice touch Overall food fresh hot and cooked well Bathrooms questionable. Prices over inflated...

Solmaz C.

Yelp
This was our first visit to Aspen Grille as a friend had recommended it. I have to say that all around it was amazing! Our server, Polo, was absolutely wonderful. He was so kind, personable and recommended the perfect entrees. We ordered the oysters as an appetizer and I'm pretty sure that we could have ordered more. That is how good they were. As entrees we ordered the grouper and surf/turf-all wonderful. Polo recommended great wine as well as a delicious dessert, the blueberry bread pudding. My husband and I walked out stuffed and satisfied. We will definitely return again and in hopes that Polo is our server. Job well done!

Shai C.

Yelp
This place is nice! The food is pretty good, still a little pricey. My family loved the chicken, the mushroom risotto, and several other menu items. The mashed potatoes were my favorite! However, every time we think about this restaurant, we chuckle at this funny story of what happened as we were getting ready to leave. My husband was cleaning up the table and stacked a couple plates and handed them to the bus boy. The bus boy said, "I appreciate it, but we don't do that here, so don't stack the plates." As he said this, my party of about 9 people proceeded to stack their plates and pass them to my hubby. The bus boy then said, "HOW many times do I have to tell you, Buddy!?" He was honestly kind of rude, definitely not being funny, but serious. BUT given the circumstance (and it being a genuine accident), we all thought it was so funny it became an inside joke (still, now several years later). I'd still go back, just whatever you do, don't stack the plates!

Kristi H.

Yelp
Amazing food and impeccable service! Seared Scallops with mushroom risotto is on point every single time! Perfectly cooked steaks and creative cocktails is what keeps us coming back! Perfect place for a more intimate setting!

Meghan M.

Yelp
We went to aspen grille to celebrate my husband's birthday. The service and food were both phenomenal! We really enjoyed their flavored salts with the sweet butter and bread. I call this elevated food without being pretentious like some fine dining places can get. We got the crab cake and shrimp cocktail as appetizers and then I had the salmon and my husband had a steak-all were incredible. The creme brûlée was probably the lightest I've ever had. Definitely worth the price and the calories. :)

B C.

Yelp
I love this restaurant! The ambience is unbelievable and the food is so good. We go there as often as we can when we are in town.

Janelle W.

Yelp
Our visit to Aspen Grille for our one dining night out in SC was excellent. We made reservations that same day without issue, for 8pm. The ambience of this restaurant is very much fine dining, so my sister and I appropriately dressed in a way that made us feel fancy, yet still vacation comfy. The dim lighting, candles on the tables, and the jazz guitarist (I think he was) provided such a beautiful feel to the room. Our server Blake was very professional and had a great pace. We never felt that he was gone too long, or that he was rushing us. He got us started with some water (sparkling, in a bottle, per request) and we perused the menu. All in all, we ordered the Domestic Golden Fried Calamari, the Organic Field Greens Salad and the Roasted Beet Salad, and Seared New Belford Scallops, and the shrimp and grits. Let's start from the top. The Calamari was the BEST calamari I have ever had. Calamari is the food I get at nearly every restaurant that offers it because its either really delicious or trash lol. Whereas in the past, I've had super chewy, overly breaded, soggy, not enough breading, etc. - this calamari had the perfect amount of breading, was perfectly crispy, not excessively oily, and just delicious. I mean, wow, bravo! I've never had the opportunity to really rave about calamari. But Aspen did it. My sister and I had a salad each and boy were they both fantastic. Both salads had caramelized walnuts and holy crap, amazing. I don't know if they did something to perk up the balsamic vinegar on my salad, but it was so good, not too vinegary. The greens were perfect, not wilted, and the pear didn't do much. It was really really good. My sisters beet salad surprised me! I hate beets. They just have so much of an earthy taste to them. But somehow, in preparing these beets, they made the beets neutral and able to absorb all the other flavors of the salad, especially that citrus tahini dressing. Lastly the entrees. Why did I order scallops? I've never enjoyed scallops, but I guess I was feeling bold. I also hate mushrooms, lol. So I ordered scallops with mushroom risotto. Here's the conclusion. These scallops were not rubbery, which was so refreshing. And the mushroom risotto had a good flavor and the mushrooms added a nice texture. Some of the spinach had a slight bitter taste to it, but overall the dish was nice. Happy to have tried it. The shrimp and grits were excellent. The grits were embedded in a gravy sauce filled with chopped sausage and a generous amount of shrimp topped off with two slices of grilled bread. This was an EXCELLENT meal. Absolutely worth every dollar and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a top notch meal worth every dollar!

Karl G.

Yelp
I really wanted to hate this place. When my wife called to make reservations, the woman who answered the phone was very rude when answering questions. Upon confirming a time, the woman on the phone also made sure to declare that they only wait 5 minutes and if you're late for your reservation by more than 5 minutes you lose your reservation. On arrival we noticed the ironic presence of a half-empty parking lot and, indeed, the restaurant itself was only about half full throughout our visit, leading us to wonder what was the source of the woman on the phone's haughty declaration that we'd better be on time or else. Based on the lady on the phone, I really was anticipating an underwhelming experience, but the reviews were such that we kept our reservation. Our visit to the Aspen Grille was great in every other aspect. From the appetizers to the salads to the entrees and desserts, everything was top notch as was the service from our waiter, Blake.

Vicki M.

Yelp
Excellent service and food. What really is the game changer is the atmosphere and ambiance. No loud talking. Everyone is well dressed and a pianist is usually playing in the background. Very relaxing and romantic. A very well crafted total dining experience.

Nicole H.

Yelp
The food was phenomenal. We got the filet and it was tender and delicious. For appetizers we got the tuna which was fresh and fell apart in your mouth. We also ordered the bread which was served with unsalted butter and three different salts so you can customize the butter to your liking, it was very very tasty. We will definitely be back!

Josephine A.

Yelp
Hidden gem. The food was delicious and ambiance is nice for a special family dinner. Our waiter was nice as well. Helped with menu recommendations.

Kelly M.

Yelp
I really wanted to try their crab cakes, but the hostesses was rude & told my husband and I to come back after 8p because they were "too busy". The interesting thing is, the restaurant had plenty of open seating, and when we asked if we could eat at the bar, the hostess told us no. After leaving, I was a bit upset & also disappointed, so I called and asked for a manager and the hostesses said a manager wasn't available and to call back another time. Needless to say, the customer service was horrible, & I left feeling profiled.

Ashley J.

Yelp
Food was VERY good. Upscale restaurant without it being overly expensive. Highly recommend the crab cake and any of the desserts. Worth going to for sure! Waitress was awesome!

John R.

Yelp
On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, i returned to The Aspen Grille as I have done for some ten years or more! This was the restaurant that my wife and I would celebrate our Marriage Anniversary or birthdays. In the past, we were treated royally as we celebrated our Special Days! I made reservations using the assigned agent with special requests to celebrate my wife's birthday on August 29, 2023. When we arrived, there was a generic card wishing us a Happy Anniversary! Were celebrating her birthday! The waitress was informed. She immediately, removed the card and did not replace it with a corrected one. At the end of the dinner, I expected to have a small celebration dessert to be given to my wife as she celebrated her seventy first birth day . The waitress abruptly informed me that they did not do this at this restaurant! It would have to come out of her pay check! This was in total contrast to our previous experiences! I was so disappointed that this momentous occasion was shoved to the back burner! I was informed that ownership had changed and they give champagne but not a small dessert! WOW!

George K.

Yelp
The steaks(NY strip, rib eye) were great. Server was excellent. Oysters were also great maybe.ittle over priced. Overall fantastic experience.

Roger M.

Yelp
Salty meal at Aspen Grill. Three different salts scattered around the plate of butter to overly cooked, salty tenderloin steak made this my last time going to eat at this Myrtle Beach fine dining restaurant. Yes, I could have sent the meal back; but that would have been awkward to others at the table already eating their meal. I advised the waiter of the situation only to be told we would be taken care of "next time". As a resident, I cannot see wasting allot of money on a poor dining experience. There will be no next time.

Julie B.

Yelp
Food was amazing. Never been here prior. Outside a little deceptive, but definitely go in. Won't be disappointed!

H L.

Yelp
Exceptional service & amazing food! Everything was amazing -- from first course (calamari), the cocktails (Owner's Martini) all the way through the dessert (the GIANT chocolate brownie cake). Highly recommend. Our server Precious was amazing-- very knowledgeable about the menu, and she was so warm, funny & personable!
