Can't fault the location , either if you are skiing or riding your mountain bike. Rooms were great. The accommodation was really good. Watch out for the $25 a day parking charge, that's the most important thing for the reception staff. From their reaction to our reaction I gather they get a lot of guests who also don't know about the charge. Anyway I digress. Once we paid and eventually found a parking space , unload the car first the spaces are tiny , it was fine. As I said nice room , dining table and chairs , decent bed , nice shower and bathroom if a little grey in places, plenty of room , couldn't get the TV working but there was a DVD library free downstairs , so not bad at all. It was busy the pool full of children and the hot tubs full of people talking loudly on their phones ! Short walk into the resort via the rear exit , if you were skiing ,really easy to get onto and off the slopes. Verybgood but not perfect.

As Aussie tourists we found Aspens on Blackcomb perfect for our needs. We loved the location and didn't mind the short walk into the lower Village or the free shuttle ride as we didn't have a car. Very easy to get around the area. Our apartment was perfect for us. Had everything we could want and had a great view of the bush. The pool and hot tubs were great as the weather was lovely and sunny. Good facilities especially the laundry. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The aspens is a good hotel to stay at of you are looking for ski holiday. My family went to the aspens and had a great time. The staff are very nice, you get a good view, and there is much to do in the area. It is ski in/ski out place which was good for me as we hired skis and would ski down to the lift to start our day, which at the end of we could just give our skis back to the staff and they would store them. It is very close to the whistler village only about a 5-minute walk which is very scenic going through trees and over a nice bridge. The rooms are neat and have comfortable beds in.

Google
Location is just outside the village. There is a common area and bike rentals on site.. Rooms are looking dated and be sure to confirm quality of couch mattress for comfort level if you are needing the extra bed. Spacious lay out with balcony, kitchen and full living room area. Pool allows for sun and shade with 3 hot tubs to choose from; not all jets worked and hot tub could be hotter. This VRBO/Hotel is best suited for an affordable family vacation.

Stay was great, rooms were spacious. Only drawback for us was the location....can't walk right into the village. It's about 15 mins walk to the village.

We have stayed at the Aspens two times in Whistler. The location is incredible. It is a ski in/out resort and the slope is just outside of the gate next to the pool. Just a quick little walk down to Blackholm Gondola. The condo was really nice and very cozy. The bedrooms were a little tight, but we were in a two bedroom so some of the second bedroom took up some extra space. When we stayed in a one bedroom it felt roomier. We loved the hot tub and the pool. Both times we have been there. It has been for Skiing so it has been very cold. They keep everything nice and toasty warm so it was lovely! I would not hesitate to stay there again for future visits to Whistler!

Google
Our condo was not very nice, could have used some updates. But better options were available and we decided to spend less. The location, hot tub, ski rental, ski valet, parking, ski in ski out was worth 5 stars.

My family and I have been staying at the Aspens for the past four years. Our kids are 11 and 8 now and everyone enjoys the pool / hot tubs and some after-ski sledding on the Blackcomb base. The proximity to Blackcomb village shops and restaurants is walking distance. Ski in ski out with ski valet. We never want to leave !!! 🥲

Yelp
The Aspens is located just off the lowest portions of the Merlin's and Green Line runs on Blackcomb. It is a ski in/out property and is a mix of hotel condos and privately owned condos. It's a quick walk down to Whistler Village and was very easy to walk down to Spicy Sports in Blackcomb to get our rental equipment. The main areas of the building are in dire need of renovation. First impressions are not great. The lifts are dead slow and you can expect a five minute wait at peak times. Parking is plentiful in the underground parking garage at $17/day. The rules in the main areas are a bit strange as the resort has a "strict" no skis/boards in the condos, yet their ski valet does not accept poles or ski boots. I see absolutely no point in disallowing skis when similar property damage can be made with poles and people stomping around in ski boots. The outdated main areas and stupid ski valet that only accepts one-third of the necessary kit is a one-star deduction. We rented our condo from a private owner off Airbnb. Our unit was recently renovated with newly kitted bathroom and kitchen. We were lucky in that it was a corner unit and we heard no noise except for the ski boots clonking down the hallway in the morning and early evening if we happened to be around - even that noise was not too bothersome. There is no question on if we would rent from the owning couple again - for sure! Although our unit is within the same building as the resort-operated condos, we did not get daily maid service which was a-ok. If you are considering this property, it is absolutely vital that you understand who you are renting from to ensure you get the unit you expect. If the operating company is ResortQuest, you will likely end up with a room that was last updated in the early 1980's. It is my recommendation to turn to VRBO and Airbnb so that you can see photos of specific units versus a mix of photos from outdated and updated condos on various booking sites.

Yelp
I would not recommend Aspen in the summer or maybe ever. We stayed in unit 208 booked through ResortQuest. The front staff was very nice especially Samantha who did her best to help us. When we were there in June the temperature was 30C or approximately 88F. The unit had no air conditioning. Apparently none of the units at Aspen have air conditioning so if you have a problem with an extremely hot room in the summer this is not the place for you. We asked to be transferred to a sister property of resortquest after the first night as sleep was very difficult. Samantha said she would ask her supervisor. We asked about our request the next morning and her supervisor said no because we were only staying one more night. Their attitude seemed to be "just suck it up and deal with the crappy room you have". They provided 2 fans. The patio looks like it has never been cleaned as the chairs and table were all dusty. The windows had a thick layer of dirt on them. The probably haven't been washed for a few years. The furniture in the living room should be given to good will, the couch is so hard it is like sitting on a park bench. I like to read at night but there was hardly any light coming from the bed side lamp. I asked for a new light bulb the next morning and when the maintenance man came he said "this is an refrigerator light you have." That's right folks, they're saving money by giving you a 25 watt light bulb for reading. The location is also not great if you're a senior or have mobility issues. The walk into Whistler village starts with a hilly gravel slope. The staff said it was about a 15 minute walk but with the hot weather it was truly unbearable. We are fairly active seniors but with the heat I found it a struggle to get back to the hotel after a walk around Whistler. We found that we paid for a dirty poorly managed room that we could not use during the day because it was stifling hot and Resortquest management would not move us because we were not staying long enough. I would definitely never stay at another property managed by Resortquest or at The Aspens again. We travel frequently.

Yelp
First visit to Whistler / Blackcomb for skiing. The Aspens is basically condos independently owned but managed by a management group. We stayed in Apt 444 and our friends stayed in another room down the hall. Floor plan / layout was the same. Their room was facing the many outdoor pools and stuff and was therefore louder; our room was quieter and faced some trees. 2 decks. Pros: 1. Ski in / Ski out (but not the only option for ski in/out) 2. We got a discount by booking well in advance (this may be typical) 3. They have a vending machine where you can buy a pound of bacon. Legit. Not sure if this is a Canadian thing, but it's pretty awesome. 4. Full kitchen, which we prefer to a hotel room with no ability to cook for ourselves. Our kitchen was well stocked - dish soap & scrubby, hand soap, dish towels, tea, etc. I'm sure other comparable places have this as well, so it's probably not remarkable. 5. There is ski rental and valet in the building. Sounds convenient - but keep reading... Cons: There are some significant cons: 1. Ski rental company and set-up is super inefficient and has some big issues: The check-in process in the very small rental office was the most disorganized mess I've ever seen. We pre-booked everything online, yet for both our parties they had the wrong EVERYTHING. We had extra unknown people registered in both our parties; they didn't have any of the specs from the pre-registration and asked us the same thing like 3 times (including my favorite: "HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH?" and then you get to shout your weight across the room. Fun game!) They were super busy and didn't manage the traffic at all, so more and more people kept piling in and the chaos mounted. Needless to say we were late for our ski lessons. Oh, and even though we amazingly (eventually) got all our stuff, one person's bindings were literally not even touched / adjusted and they had to go back to the office - which probably happens all the time given the chaos. I'm surprised there weren't more issues. Also, the valet in the morning gets really busy so get down there early. It can take the staff a looong time to walk back and get your skis - especially since they can never remember your room number for more than 5 seconds. Multiple times the dude come back to ask "Uh, what room number again??" or bring the skis for a different room number. Here's an idea for management- give them a small pad of paper and a pen so they can write it down and save us all time! 2. Upkeep. The upkeep of the units may be different depending on the owners. Our unit's dishwasher didn't work, for example. 3. Almost forgot this one, but it's important to mention. I'm 90% sure their fire alarms do not work. Which is kind of a big deal. Our floor filled up with smoke (to the point where several of us were in the hallway trying to find the source of the smoke). We determined it must have been a kitchen disaster in one of the units - but never did an alarm go off despite the smoke. Maybe fire safety is different in Canada or condos have a higher threshold for triggering the alarm? I don't know. Anyway, the front desk didn't seem too concerned about it. :-/

Yelp
This studio was a great price for a summer get away. Photos on orbitz and the website is accurate. I would give it a 3.7. The rooms have a cabin feel and pretty spacious (only two of us). The only major issue was No AC, No A.C, I repeat- Too hot!!!! it was between 80-91° the three days we were there. Parking is $17.00 a day and the village markets are to expensive way over priced. But the room was a little above fair. I would definitely stay again during the winter. They do provide to fans that have to be used wisely in order to keep the unit breathable. 5 star kitchen. Comfy bed and nice bathroom. Or should i say Washroom!!

Yelp
GREAT place to stay and SUPER convenient. The slopes are right there. You can literally board into the hotel area. Easy 10 minute walk to each of the villages, Whistler village and Olympic Park village have great bars and restaurants. The Upper Village (where Aspens is located) has a few great bars and breakfast spots but the best part is Blackcomb Mountain begins and ends 400 feet away. It's awesome! Room is decent and comfy. Room and kitchen are spacious and clean. Bummer is that parking is 15$/day. But it made up for it because we were able to stay at this location for less than $200 for three nights through a livingsocial deal. I hope to come back to Whistler in the next few years and wouldn't mind staying here. :)

Yelp
Stayed here again and honestly, the age is starting to show. The place was still nice, but I could def tell the difference from when I stayed 4 years ago. Also, I realized they don't have laundry rooms in each condo, something Greystone Lodge next door has. This place still has an awesome hot tub and a better ski in/ski out location than Greystone though.

Yelp
Really nice place and probably the best location you could ask for. It's a ski-ski ski-off locale that's the close to the base of the lifts (so a very short walk to Whistler village when you're inclined). We stayed as a huge party in a group of condos that I think were private owned rather than resort. The only difference is that we don't get service (think towels or turning down sheets) which wasn't that big a deal. They also have a nice heated pool and free gear valet services which let me put dry gear back into my car. Each place also has a balcony to enjoy the crisp air and stocked kitchen. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
The Aspens is a very good location but as the units within the property are managed by a variety of people and management groups, one should take care to review from whom they are renting, Specifically, renters should beware of units within The Aspens managed by a group that goes by the name, Whistler Accommodations. They post on VRBO as owner managed units then the dialog moprhs into a discussion with the vague entity known as Whistler Accommodations. On VRBO, all looks good but when one moves to the direct dialog, all sorts of restrictions and added costs arise. In responding to the VRBO posting, the length of stay was not set and our group requested a three night stay. Subsequently, Whistler Accommodations added an absolute requirement for a four night minimum stay. They then sent a three nights for the cost of four nights contract - which was misread as Whistler Accommodations repeatedly stated that renters must stay at least four nights. That is, the only product sold by Whistler Accommodations was a four night minimum stay. Two nights into the stay, we contacted Whistler Accommodations to double-check that they had indeed booked us for four nights. Christine at Whistler Accommodations stated that despite the set-in-concrete four night minimum, they had booked our group for three nights (at the cost of four nights). She said that if we had raised the topic prior to arrival that she would have been able to provide the fourth night but by day three, it was too late. She said that to get another one night we would need to book another four night stay. As we were seeking help from her to find a way to find lodging for a fourth night, she became hostile and belligerent, saying, "this is going nowhere", "you signed a contract", and finally, "I need to get off the phone to check what's available". She promised to return the call and provide options - she not only did not return the call, she also did not answer or return follow-up phone calls and emails. Subsequently, on day four, Whistler Accommodations changed the electronic locks on unit 332, effectively evicting our group. These people, and Christine in particular, could not care less about about their renters. Oh, and then there is the unit 332 itself which was stripped of the most basic of needs - salt & pepper? Yes, you'll need to bring that... more than three spoons needed? You'll need to bring some...Cooking in the unit? Good luck with the crappy, sparse cookware. I cannot imagine that anyone would rent more than once from Whistler Accommodations - they are nasty cheats. And on a personal level, Christine should consider something other than the hospitality business.

Yelp
We had a great time staying at the Aspens while in Whistler. I bought a living social voucher for 3 nights back in the fall and was able to keep it a secret from my boyfriend until his birthday. Besides being a fan of the Aspens, I'm a huge Groupon/Living Social fan! I agree with others that the Aspens is not the most modern rental at Whistler, but it really only shows in the common areas and hallways. I really liked how easy and carefree everything was for this vacation, everything was thought of ahead of time. I'm a big stresser so it was nice to not have to think about the little details. The location is amazing, and allowed us to feel at home while on vacation. It was great to be able to snowboard home at the end of the day, shower, and walk to dinner. Having the kitchen was also great for saving money on breakfast. The location was too great not to take advantage of dining out, but the full kitchen really does enable you not to have to spend anything on dining out. All around great experience!

Yelp
I love this hotel. I love their location, the service, and the people that works here. The biggest advantage of this hotel is the ski in/ski out location. When I walk out of the lobby here, you can ski down the slope to the city center. This hotel is more of a condo atmosphere. I booked the condo on the bottom floor and I can ski down off from my patio. The condo is very cozy and it feels like home. The price of the condo is very reasonable. Whistler is my favorite ski resort. This hotel reminds me of a white Christmas because this hotel is cover with snow during the winter and when I look out from my window, I can see the city center blanket with snow. It's so romantic and beautiful. The people here are so friendly. They are always willing to recommend places to go eat or shop, giving me tips of which road is bus route only, and giving me tips of where I can go to hop on a free shuttle to go around town. I totally recommend that you go grocery shopping outside of Whistler and make your food while you stay here because it's very expensive here. For example, breakfast that includes a glass of OJ, eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns for two cost $50. At the grocery, it cost $6 for a half dozen eggs. I totally recommend this hotel because the price is very reasonable and the location.

Yelp
Let me start by saying we didn't get to actually stay here because they canceled our reservation and decided to tell us 2 days before our trip. We booked this a month ago via Expedia and got a phone call first saying the hotel overbooked and canceled our reservation so we had an option of booking across the street at their sister hotel the Marquee (which is terrible). We scrambled to find better hotels but this was so last minute there was nothing available. We were told we would be reimbursed $250 and get some upgrade. Definitely not enough to justify this major screw up they made 2 days before our vacation! My boyfriend called the Aspens to figure out what happened and they said there was some mix up when he called to extend our stay another day. They did say they were booked and couldn't extend another day and offered to switch our reservation to another hotel but my boyfriend told them no we will keep our current reservation. I'm not sure how you can confuse that with canceling our reservation. We have traveled all the way from Boston and are severely disappointed with our current hotel across the street from where we should have been staying. There is a smell to the hallways and room. The room is very outdated with an uncomfortable bed and a comforter that is dingy and doesn't even fit a king size bed! It is not the same ski in ski out hotel that we wanted. The aspens really put a damper on our vacation we planned a month ago and we will never book with them or their sister hotels ever again nor would we recommend them to anyone.
