I really enjoyed my recent experience in assador. Their variety and quality of meat is really good. My favourites were picanha, alcatra de vaca velha, ancho and cupim. Their lamb was OK. Differently than most rodízios, they don't have the central buffet and instead bring a much smaller variety of salads to the table. Also, different than othes, they charge separately for the baked Pineapple but Banana with cinnamon is included. Service was also very good. A 4 star rating would be unfair, so I give it a 4.5 star in the shape of 5 stars.

Amazing restaurant right on the water with stunning views. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The service was outstanding—servers were attentive and always checking in on our table. The steaks had incredible flavor with a nice variety to choose from. The juices were some of the best I’ve had, and the cheese balls were delicious. I absolutely loved it and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Google
The steaks they serve are really good but there's less variety than other churrascarias and there is not buffet bar but it doesn't matter. You go for the spectacular views of Sugerload mountain and it is beautiful.

Fantastic traditional Rodizio, the quality of the meat was very good quality! The wine was very good - couldn't recommend here more. We sat on the terrace looking out at Sugar Loaf mountain - a great experience.

Assador offers a high-quality dining experience with excellent meat and top-notch food overall. The service was professional and attentive. However, I found it a bit pricey, and the waiters were sometimes a bit too pushy due to the flying buffet concept. Still, a great place for meat lovers looking for a premium experience – plus a fantastic view of the bay.

Incredible. From the food. To the service. To the ambience. They nail it. Our main server Eduardo was excellent. our other (Marcelo?) was great too. My girlfriend dropped her fork at one point and less than 10 seconds later another was delivered. The entire waitstaff was sweet. And the food was top notch. Pro tip: Get the ribeye 👌 Turned out to be $60 USD per person at the end of the night. Beyond worth it. Highly highly recommend. Obrigado! 🙏

I went here with friends on my birthday night and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they do have chicken. As someone who doesn’t eat red meat, I loved the meal. The chicken thighs were juicy. The Caesar salad was Very tasty. The dessert was great. My only problem was that the chicken didnt come around as often as the steak of course. And there was a cheesy bread that only came around once and we wanted more. It was kind of hard to fly down a waiter, but maybe because they were busy. But I would definitely recommend and I would go back. We did not need to make a reservation. We just walked in.

My colleagues and I were victims of extortion at this restaurant while on a work trip in October. We selected a wine from the list that was $150. After tasting, we informed the Manger that the wine was “bad”, as in spoiled. He tasted and agreed. We asked him to select a “comparable” wine for us. He brought us a bottle that we tasted and enjoyed. When our bill arrived, we had been charged $3,500 for the bottle of Chateau Mouton Rothschild 2008. Hardly a “comparable” wine. After much deliberation with the manager, it was demanded that we pay for the wine or he would call the police. As we were visitors to Brazil and not inclined to go to jail in Rio, we obliged. I vehemently caution all tourists against patronizing this restaurant. EXTORTION!

Yelp
Really enjoyed my steak dinner here. This place came highly recommended by the concierge at the hotel and everything was delicious. It was a bit overwhelming sometimes because they are constantly coming by to offer you food and with the language barrier it was hard to understand every cut they were offering and to ask for a break. Wish they had one of those tokens you flip up when you want more. Then of course when we were ready to try some more it took a bit of time to get them to come by since a big party had just arrived. We mentioned that it was my birthday when booking the reservation but it was not acknowledged in any way. Not looking for anything free, just a thanks for choosing to celebrate your birthday with us or a candle on the dessert we ordered. We ordered the creme brulee three ways because creme brulee is one of my favorites. It did not disappoint. The unlimited steak dinner for 2 with a nice Malbec and the dessert came out to around 150 US. Not bad for a delicious meal where I ate way too much.

Yelp
Absolutely awful service. Went there with a cruise ship group. Never got our fish. Asked for lamb for 30 minutes, waited 20 minutes for a coke, waiters asked the women if they wanted chicken hearts but not the men, never brought back chicken nor ribs. Our guide brought the manager over to translate our problems. So what next, we were not served dessert. Then we were asked for coffee and it never came before we had to leave. What a HORRIBLE experience. We left hungry and PISSED!

Yelp
I came, I saw, and I was conquered by this amazing restaurant, it's staff, and their breath taking view!!! I picked this place because of the view let me just be honest. But I also picked this place because the food looked amazing!!! I found them on Instagram, if you didn't know they have an Instagram check them out @Assadorbr they post daily fire content! Anyways, I booked my reservation online and I picked the option to sit outside because well I'm coming from Dallas, TX and I need the best seat in the house cmon! Lol anyways upon arrival we were greeted like we were VIP immediately they took us outside sat us down offered us drinks etc. and as every all you can eat Brazilian steakhouse the meat started coming! No lie I enjoyed every single cut of meat all were fire especially the pork belly I believe was exceptional. Also when I go to Brazilian steakhouses I don't typically eat the chicken but here I did and it was fire too. All the meats were well seasoned not super salty. Also instead of getting up like in US and serving yourself they brought out all the sides such as salads, veggies, rice, beans, etc. which all were amazing. For dessert I had their pudim and it was super good no air bubbles just creamy goodness. Anyways I give this place 5 stars because the service was great the staff spoke Portuguese, spanish and English so that is a big plus to have people that are able to communicate with anybody dining at their restaurant. They were super kind and attentive. The food was amazing and the view obviously you can see! So if you are in Brazil you must check them out!

Yelp
WOW- this place, this ambiance, the customer service just SPECTACULAR. Food was great. You are started with a bunch of appetizers including pao de quejo, yuca fries, French fries, salads, etc. You are then served a variety of meats. What I loved most, was that I wasn't rushed and didn't feel bad for wanting more! The servers were super nice and accommodating if I needed something- they brought it! Best Churrascaria experience ever - thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

Yelp
I wish I could give our experience at this restaurant more than a five star! I didn't know where to start, the salad bar was incredible. I was really looking forward to the whole Brazilian dining experience, a real one, because I was in Brazil. Don't get me wrong I do love Rodizio's in Colorado but this restaurant was incredible and I couldn't get past the salad bar. I have never had a salad bar experience like this one, ever!!!! I decided just to eat the salad bar and not do the meat experience and I was perfectly happy with my choice. There is so much to choose from, meats, cheese, olives, fruits, salad, hearts of palm, desserts, but honestly one of my favorite things that I kept eating, was fresh pork rind strips that they made pork belly. I almost made a entire dinner out of that! I never had anything on a salad bar that was so good. The service was great, the people were friendly, and the view was incredible. It sits right on the water and you have a view of Sugarloaf Mountain. It would be a really fun place to go have appetizers and cocktails as you enjoy the view. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Yelp
Awesome view... however food and service were poor. We saved this restaurant for our last meal in Rio. We were very disappointed with the quality of the meat (Argentine steak was only one edible) and the poor service from the wait staff and side dish buffet service. Avoid, unless your preference is for overpriced food with lacklustre service. When we brought our experience to management's attention, they were indifferent. There are much better restaurants with great views.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic. Food, service and setting was absolutely incredible. We had an incredible meal for two with drinks, juice and a ton of other things for far less than we have paid in the US. I can't recommend this place enough

Yelp
I made reservations prior to coming an it was definitely NOT necessary! I arrived on a Monday evening an due to Covid sadly this place was not packed at all. I sat inside an due to the language barrier was brought an iPad with the menu on it. I pointed to what was the adult "buffet" where all different types of meat were brought out to me. Even though the language barrier, all the gentlemen servers an manger was extremely kind! You'll find a card on the table, one side green indicating you want more food to come, an red indicating to stop the food. It didn't make a difference! LOL The guys just kept it coming. I didn't know what meat was which but for the most part I liked all but one. The bread given at the beginning was my favorite. There are also different salads brought out as well. The restaurant is HUGE with outdoor seating. They also have numerous wine cellars an I was shocked to see a wine all the way from my hometown (Fairfield, CA) What I really loved was the chocolate lava cake an ice cream. I will say that I would of liked to stay longer but it was chilly due to the open air restaurant. I would go back an remember not too tip as much as I did. NOTE: They already tack on the tip to your total bill! I found that out later after reviewing my receipt. My total was $57.30 USD. (Probably would of been about $50 if I didnt over tip an $45 without dessert). I would go back....
