The only good thing is that the barista is experienced and friendly. This cafe is marked as ‘Assembly Coffee London’ in GoogleMaps which is misleading. I obviously expected a fully Assembly cafe a bit like the Origin Cafe in Scoresby street. And what made it worst is that their main bean for espresso is from Volcano Coffee Works. Not Assembly, which is what bought me here after having a great cup in justbetweenfriends when I was visiting in Manchester. These beans are markedly cheaper than assembly, at £8.5 compared to £11 per 200g which reflects on the taste. There’s an old phone box that’s sitting directly outside the shop. The cafe is very small and there’s only few seats facing the window and also at the bar. It’s a very deprived area and you will be entertained/intimidated by people having an episode in the box. I found it uncomfortable, it’s not something you want to see whilst having a coffee. I see this was mentioned by another reviewer and obviously nothing has been done about it. A very easy solution is to slightly decorate the window with some sort of art just to blur out the view. Seems like it’s the least priority of the owners. £3.9 for a flat white is overpriced when you have a view like this and limited seatings. Lastly the name of this cafe is Door. Not Assembly. No Volcano :)

I’m so glad I finally joined a coffee tasting. We had such a lovely evening thanks to Raquel. Her coffee skills and the way she guided us through everything honestly left me amazed. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone, and I’d love to come back with a group next time. The place itself is beautiful too for coffee lovers, it feels like Disneyland :))

I went with friends to the Hot Drops event, and we were absolutely delighted with the entire service! All the coffees were incredible, the whole vibe was great. The class was led by Raquel Mezquita, who was excellent! With an accessible way of explaining coffee prep, a beautiful intro to the flavours of coffees according to countries, regions and their different characteristics. In the end, we left with a delicious coffee as a gift, which Raquel chose based on our favourites and with the feeling of having learned in a relaxed way. Thanks!

So far the best coffee we tried in London. The place is small but cozy, the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, reall pleasure to talk to. We did enjoy the coffee at the shop and we are absolutely in love with Assembly Colombia — Nestor Lasso x Cata (watermelon).

Assembly Roastery is my new go-to spot for specialty coffee. They have a fantastic selection of beans from all over the world, and their roasting is impeccable. The coffee is always fresh and flavorful, and the packaging is beautiful. But what really sets Assembly Roastery apart is their service. Barista RU was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything about their beans and helped me choose the perfect one for my taste. She was also very welcoming and friendly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for high-quality, specialty coffee with excellent service, I highly recommend Assembly Roastery. Here are some of the things I loved: High-quality beans: The beans are sourced from some of the best coffee-growing regions in the world. Variety of beans: They offer a wide variety of beans to choose from, so you can find the perfect one for your taste. Excellent roasting: The beans are roasted to perfection, bringing out their full flavor and aroma. Beautiful packaging: The packaging is sleek and modern, making it a great gift. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Assembly Roastery and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality, speciality coffee.

I had to be honest and say that I was lucky enough to step into door cafe once when I was passing by during one of my trips to London. I bought 1 bag of Colombian beans which I think its uniqueness could not be better. I thought of getting multiple coffee beans and when I browsed their Coffee selection I was fascinated again by the very good variety of beans they are offering to try. Yet, I decided to go the discovery box which contains 6 different coffee bags (2 for espresso and 4 for filter) but the selection is on Assembly team which I assumed fair and smart. I was quite surprised when I received my delivery and opened the box to find that 3 of the filter bags out of 4 are from the same origin (CONGO) and from the cheaper available options and yet the automatic given gift is the same beans as one of the 3 bags which I thought to be unprofessional choice for a customer who sent a private email straight after placing the order expecting the best out of a professional team such as Assembly. If you are looking for something amazing and variable, please stay away from the discovery set and rather choose your coffee bags individually. *I have edited my review from 2 stars to 4 stars because I was contacted back by one of Assembly group who tried to solve the matter and they managed to send me 2 coffee bags but it took quite a long time for that to happen. Anyway, this was appreciated and I think I’ll try their beans again.

Good roaster and trade supplier. Assembly’s beans are impressive. My only note: packaging could be improved (one bag arrived slightly dented). Service was still very prompt.

We placed our order and paid for 2 kg before 2 weeks . However, we haven’t received the order yet, and customer service hasn’t responded to any of our messages. There’s also been a significant delay in the delivery, and no one is replying or providing any kind of assistance. I do not recommend dealing with or purchasing from this website at all — they don’t respond and never deliver the orders.

Yelp
Decided to drop by this roastery to pick up some coffee beans as a gift for someone, and I would recommend doing so! My boyfriend has asked me to get him a particular flavor that was sold out online so I had doubts about the roastery having it. Thankfully when I arrived there, I asked the gentleman working if they had the Bumbogo coffee beans and he went rummaging through the boxes of coffee beans. Turns out there was one bag left! They do sell beans at the cafes that carry their coffee, but coming here, despite it being out of the way, was a fantastic experience and I would definitely come back in the future.
