*Effective* lunch spot, if you want good meat with some carbs then this is ideal. The chicken box and sauce is great and with a great choice of sides (rice, veg, potatoes). Very quick service even with a long queue and seating available inside. Nothing to particularly rave about, you can get a more interesting lunch for the same price range but can’t knock it!

Workers were surly and a bit exasperated that we didn't know how to order. Strange setup with marinated chicken dishes on one side, sandwiches on the other. Confusing when you have a larger party who orders both. All the seating was gross - sticky tables all around. Cuban sandwich was alright. Other things like the chicken sandwich was soggy and had lots of skin and fat - it is hard to eat when you are picking through the sandwich each bite. Lettuce was mildly wilted. Kids didn't enjoy dissecting their meal before eating it. Bathroom was unacceptable - no paper towels, dirty.

One of the popular places to get lunch from in the city. If you’re after 12 expect a queue but it does go quickly. The chicken is great and I usually go for a regular with veg and potato. The potato is often under or overcooked. You can get rice and salad so I should probably opt for one of those instead :) The chicken isn’t really peri peri. But it is very tasty! Then there’s the magic green sauce you can see in the pot. Whack that over the top of the food and it takes the dish to a whole new level. You can eat in but I’ve never eaten in. Only take away. It’s a great place to eat.

The vegetable side (carrots, courgettes, broccoli) has been replaced with cheap cabbage, which was disappointing, especially given the price increase. Service was also lacking — at checkout, my request for green sauce was met with an aggressive response. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning, which is a shame as this used to be a great spot.

South American cuisine. It gets crazy busy during lunch. Which shows its popularity. They close early. Around 5, plus run out of dishes so be quick. Theyve put their prices up recently. But so has many places. The price has put it into the treat section rather than a go to place for me now. Bit it's a v good treat. Pictured. The Patacones sandwich. Pulled beef covered by plantain as buns. Next level stuff. Highly recommended.

The chicken has a lot of skin and the fajita vegetables are just shredded cabbage covered in a sauce that’s neutral tasting at best. For the price I recommend instead Farmer J, Chipotle, or Nando’s. This place feels like a cheap and lower quality substitute

Assenheims chicken is great! You get there and no matter how long the queue might look it moves and quite fast. The price is very good for the size of the portions. The dynamic is a little chaotic if you want to eat in, as you order like if you are doing take away and then you just grab your bag and go back inside to find a seat. And good luck finding one (seating space is very limited as the place is small)

This place ALWAYS has a queue at all its various city locations, so I figured it was finally time to give it a try. The setup was efficient, and the service was excellent. As for the food, while it was definitely above average, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The rice was well-seasoned and packed with flavour, and the new potatoes were perfectly tender and also nicely seasoned. However, the chicken, which everyone seems to rave about, was just okay, I expected a bit more depth of flavour. For me, most of the taste came from the delicious chili sauce. The portion size, though, was generous for a lunch meal, so in that regard, it didn’t disappoint.

Yelp
I was recommended this place after saying I had a craving for grilled chicken. Their lunch menu is simple, chicken thighs with a choice of side (rice, salad, or veg). Or sandwiches. So I got a small chicken & veg. You can choose Tabasco & their special coriander sauce. I got both. Firstly it's not that small with two full thighs. Secondly, it was delicious! Even the veg which is was carrot, courgette & broccoli was tasty. It's not the nicest setting and there is a long queue but it is worth it (and to be honest they move you along pretty quickly).

Yelp
very rude customer service. food was reheated in microwave. changed plate after 2 seconds of ordering, would not let me change it because he already put it in the microwave. skip this place.

Yelp
The food was wonderful. The chicken was full of flavor and the avocado spread was tasty too. I think what really surprised me was the large portion sizes and the cheap prices. For 20 pounds we bought 2 chicken platters that came with rice, potatoes, and steamed veggies and 4 bottled waters. I really recommend this place to several people since I have been in London. I will probably go back before we leave London.

Yelp
If you're hungry this place is great. Eating in gets you a full on mound of chicken and rice. Always opt for the green sauce and Tabasco. No idea what's in the green sauce but its awesome.

Yelp
Had the assenheim sandwich. For £4.50 you get a large sandwich of tender juicy chicken, and their special coriander green sauce. There was a bit of a long queue at lunchtime but service moved quickly. Will definitely come back for their full meals.

Yelp
Massive portion of 2 grilled chicken breast, rice and grilled vegetables all for 7.50. Can't beat that. It fills you up for hours and the taste is amazing. Their green sauce is to die for!
