Super cute restaurant. Came here for dinner and for tea time with my best friend. All of the pastries/sandwiches/desserts were light and delicious. We had the best tea (I can’t remember which one now but it was with milk). The dinner and drinks menu is also superb. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cute British-esque atmosphere!

Amazing Vibes. Great Drinks. We came for dinner service, and were very impressed by the service, atmosphere, and drinks. The food was tasty, but nothing incredible for its price point. However, for afternoon tea, cocktails with friends, or a date night, i think this place is the perfect venue.

In an era of glossy chains and trend-chasing eateries, Asterisk is the kind of restaurant that reminds you why we fall in love with local spots in the first place. Tucked into downtown Westerville, this cozy gem doesn’t scream for attention — it earns it, quietly, night after night. They are famous for their mushroom toast. Picture doesn’t do it justice. The drinks are delicious, served in unique and retro glassware. It’s the kind of place you take your parents when they visit, the spot you recommend when someone moves to the area, the restaurant you celebrate at because it already feels like part of your life. It’s not just a meal. It’s your neighborhood, served on a plate.

I love asterisk! I most often visit for afternoon tea, but have had the happy hour as well. They hosted my bridal shower last spring and it was absolutely amazing!

Google
Pretty good, pretty pricey. Cocktails and the Cinnamon Bun Apple Pie dessert were our highlights. Really impressed by the Fortune Teller and Old Fashioned cocktails in particular. Food left a bit to be desired considering price - lacking salt and flavor overall. Truffle fries and wasabi aioli were excellent though.

We were there with family on March 8,2025 We loved the teas, rose hibiscus, vanilla chai, mint and strawberries and cream. The truffle fries and tomato basil soup were amazing. The desserts were delicious. Parking is a bit tight.

Our group of longtime high school friends recently reunited at Asterisk in charming downtown Westerville, and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance wrapped around us like a warm hug—equal parts vintage charm and inviting elegance. It truly felt like stepping into a different era, the kind that slows you down in the best way. The menu was equally nostalgic. Think elevated, vintage-inspired dishes that were both comforting and beautifully presented. Each bite was a delicious throwback to timeless flavors, with just enough of a modern twist to keep things exciting. A special shoutout goes to LaBron, our server, who made the evening exceptional. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and added such a genuine energy to our experience—his service made us feel like we were the only table in the room. We’re already planning our next visit for the incredible full-tea service for two. We've heard it's a relaxing, transportive experience—a true escape from the hustle of modern life. It sounds like the perfect way to spend quality time with friends, and we can't wait to go back. Highly recommend Asterisk for anyone who wants great food, impeccable service, and a moment to slow down and savor it all.

While in town for a wedding, we couldn’t resist indulging in a delightful afternoon tea here. Opting for the full tea, we were thrilled by the wide array of teas and sandwiches to choose from. Our server, Mary, was a true delight—her warmth and attentiveness made our experience truly special. The atmosphere was impeccable, with thoughtful Halloween decorations adding a charming touch to the setting. Each bite was delicious, and there was more than enough for two. We left feeling both happy and satisfyingly full!

Yelp
Asterisk is in the heart of uptown Westerville, right next to Old Bag of Nails and across the street from Graeters. Street parking is a luck of the draw, but there is a small lot behind Graeters that provides a short walk. When you walk in, you are greeted by the friendliest bartender who absolutely loves his job! He explained the coffee old fashioned and we could tell he not only loved the drink but also making it. The walls are lined with book shelves and gives the cutest yet coolest place to be in! I've been told brunch & tea are just lovely here. We stopped by for a work meeting happy hour. It was not busy on a Wednesday late afternoon, so we quickly got seated in the back of the room. They helped us move some tables together so that we could sit 6. The server was young but was very patient and kind. I ordered "her ball and chain" and it was delicious! The blend of favors was a perfect summer afternoon cocktail. The appetizers were really good as well! The butternut squash dip looked a little unappetizing but was actually very delicious! The lemongrass and chicken potstickers were delicious. Served with a side of kimchee and dipping sauce, it made the perfect little appetizer. We also had poutine, bruschetta, and truffle fries - which were equally flavorful.

Yelp
It's YE Gurl! A tea experience with my other Yelp Gurlies took us to Asterisk and I have not ventured that much into this area being that I live downtown. Though I am used to afternoon teas in Virgin hotels, Denver, and in Vegas with my friends, I was open to seeing what Columbus has in store for me. The service and our waiter was good with the ambiance being whimsical and delightful with enough space to not feel crowded unlike some other tea spots in Columbus. There also was not a time limit, though I would not mind if it was a 90 minute flip table moment. The waiter did suggest since we were a party of 3 to get the full tea and a petite tea, that way we could all have our own selections. I appreciated Nick's observation and explanation of the tea service to me- even pointing out how he can switch things out due to me not eating meat and being on a low sugar diet. The package of tea, app, finger sandwiches, scone, and dessert for three ran me $88 w/o tip ($104 with tip). We ended up getting a black tea, green tea, and herbal tea to switch it up. With all of us getting the great tomato soup and finger sandwiches. The deserts were lovely and I gave compliments to the fact that the scones were not dry and the bread for the sandwiches not stale. You would be surprised what other tea houses pass for food these days. Needless to say we got a great afternoon in, shared some milestones, and planned to do this Yelp Gurlie event again. With tea cups in hand and pinky fingers up, we followed the rabbit down the path to a pleasant afternoon and will look forward to the wonderland that awaits us for the next adventure. Till then!

Yelp
Had a reservation for 3 on Saturday afternoon and had a great time. Our server was knowledgeable on the menu and gave good recommendations for some first timers. We bundled a Full & Petite tea which gave each of us a tea of choice, soup or salad, 5 tea sandwiches and 2 desserts. I enjoyed the Vanilla Chai Tea and everything served was great. The lemon blueberry scone was my favorite. Cute and fun way to spend time with people in an elevated place!

Yelp
We had a wonderful time here for Mother's Day. Make sure to get a reservation early for a large party. Also make note that if you are in the middle table - it's a community table so you might be sitting next to another party. I got the cavatelli pasta with chicken and it was delicious

Yelp
Went for dinner and it was great. Good cocktails. The menu is interesting as it's a mix of elevated southern, comfort food, and usual suspects. Great vibe.

Yelp
Excellent example of higher end diner food. You know what I mean. Nice and varied menu, excellent and inventive cocktails, and well trained servers. Nice bathrooms too, thanks for that. Meghan, the owner, is on her game at all three concepts she owns. Keep up the stellar work.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place while we were in westerville for the night. This place is SO unique! The book menus, the floor setup, everything was beautifully crafted - including the food and drink menu. Our server was incredible, super attentive and friendly!

Yelp
What a good spot for tea time and relax. I went to Asterisk after my massage and it was so perfect. It was on Saturday afternoon and they were pack! Tea, scone and sandwich were good! I like the sandwich a lot! They are $3 each. The presentation was so very cute :) The service was great, he was so sweet and kind

Yelp
So we popped in one night on the spur of the moment and we were very pleasantly surprised. It is a book lovers paradise there are books from the floor to ceiling all throughout the restaurant. The books for a personal collection it is very expansive. You are also able to take a book and leave a book. I love the fact that they have a teatime so I will definitely come back and bring my girlfriends . We both got old fashions. My husband got the one with the coffee in it. Basically it's a pour over coffee into the old-fashioned. It truly is an experience. We also tried some of their fries and they were pretty good. The service was fantastic over and above what you would expect . The ambience was heavenly. I do want to go back and try some of their teas and other menu items.
google avatar

Chris W.

Yelp
I've never eaten at the asterisk. I do come in for drinks. They have the best bartenders for cocktails in the W. The smoked old fashioned is always a favorite. The bar sets the tone from the moment you walk in ...it has such a cool story coming all the way from Europe to Westerville Ohio.
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
The place is ok. The front service was a little shaky when we walked in. However our server was great. The tea time is there own version and nothing like London. The portions are alot smaller but it can be a fun time for a group. The tea isn't as flavoraful as the UK but again it's there version. The scone is alot smaller. I think it's ok to try once.

Yelp
Great evening at Asterisk. Stopped in and enjoyed Smoked Old Fashioned's with friends. Very cute place. Didn't eat but the food I saw looked terrific. Really solid service.

Yelp
There are only a couple of places in Columbus that serve traditional afternoon tea service, and Asterisk is one of them. Overall, it makes for a very enjoyable experience. The little details here really make the atmosphere - colorful mismatched china dishes, menus served in old books, etc. It tends to be crowded, lively and loud on the weekends, so maybe not the best place for a quiet conversation. On a recent visit, I learned they had changed up several things about the tea service. The food portions are MUCH smaller, the "petite tea" is not served all together on a tea tray, you can only pick one sweet mini dessert item, and each item in the tea comes out as a separate course. Oddly, the scone is served last...so you've already had your tea. For me, it definitely took away from what always made it fun and fancy. Now it is more like just four courses of very tiny food. The chicken salad tea sandwich and the lemon blueberry scone were the flavor standouts. Service was very accommodating, but a bit slow. Mimosa was made with fresh squeezed OJ and was very good. You cannot go wrong with anything that comes from the bar here. I do think the cocktails are more consistent than the food.

Yelp
My favorite afternoon tea experience! We ordered the strawberries and cream tea and I was shocked that it actually tasted just like the name! I'm not a big tea drinker, but I would drink a pitcher of this! The sandwich menu is extensive, there are options for every taste. Don't pass on dessert, and the scones are top notch as well. After tea we enjoyed sugar cookie martinis, one of the bars seasonal drinks, which were also delicious. The entire restaurant is so cute, it's small but the bar is beautiful and they did a good job organizing the space with as many tables as they could fit. I love all of the bookshelves on the walls filled with books. This would be a great spot for a book club to meet or a fun girls day out!

Yelp
this is a small place in a great location. we went around christmas time and it's like walking through a movie . food is really good and the service was also

Yelp
This place is top tier! From the atmosphere of books/literature, the teapots and eclectic glassware to the excellent service and tasty food! I will come here time and time again! Service was flawless and their petit tea service is a great deal! $30/person for a full pot of tea, 5 small sandwiches, a scone and two desserts! Outstanding! It's a great place to take clients for work as well.

A P.

Yelp
Loved it for first couple of visits. Favorite is the real English style cream tea. Second, love the pot stickers and most of their sandwiches. The only issue I have is we brought a large group and for 13 people they provided one waiter who could not keep up. So most of their meal you were just waiting for a drink and they made up a fixed menu for us vs asking us what we wanted. Was not worth it so would not recommend for large groups over 4. Paid $600 and left hungry

Yelp
This restaurant was picked because we liked the name. When arriving, inside it is incredibly cute and the service was knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered appetizers a mix and they were all good. I ordered the homeschool meatloaf which was a specialty item and it was like taking a trip back in time. I would recommend this place for good drinks and food. Plus the menus comes in books and you can take one from a certain section if you wanted to take one home. This place was a very cute spot.

Yelp
The ambiance was incredible as you walk in it feels like a beautiful bar. But as you walk further back the restaurant opens up into this incredible dining area that is designed like nice library in a way. The service was incredible i don't remember exactly our waitresses name but she was awesome! She was incredibly informative on things she thought paired very well together while asking what flavors we liked and didn't like. The food was delicious and very fun! It was unique as it was a tea time and more appitizer styled. But still incredibly filling! Overall, was a wonderful experience and will be back many more times!
google avatar

Yelp
The food was delicious. The wait staff were nice and knew their menu. I didn't feel like it was very handicap accessible but that's something that could be easily fixed. I would really recommend the mushroom toast.

Yelp
Heard so much about Asterisk and was really excited to visit. We went there for an afternoon tea for a girls gathering. We made a reservation and soon as we arrived, we were seated right away. You can street park front of the restaurant or there is shared parking space with other establishments in the back of the restaurant. The interior of this place is really cute. Books all over the walls, very rustic librarian vibe. As per the food, we ordered 2 types of tea for the group, rose hip and earl grey. I really liked both of the tea, but my favorite was the earl grey. We ordered salad and deviled eggs, but both were a little salty. If it wasn't for the salt it would have been decent. We also ordered cucumber sandwich and different types of deserts. The deserts were delicious. From the scones to cinnamon rolls, to the raspberry cakes, everything was delicious. I would go back to try other teas and other food items. It's a cute place to go on a date or with friends and family. The only reason I took a star off is that if we had a question or need something like silverware, or we needed tea refills, we had to hunt for our server. She was no were to be found.

Yelp
I had reserved an afternoon tea for a group of 9 in May for August. It is $35/person for salad, deviled eggs, 2 types of tea, 5 finger sandwiches, and scone and dessert. The person who handled the reservation through email was very accomodating when I asked for pescatarian and mixed sandwich options for the group. However, getting a response to emails did take quite a bit of time. I am not sure if only one person handles all the afternoon tea reservations, but sometimes it did almost make me want to cancel and move forward with a different location. The interior of Asterisk has a rustic charm. It reminded most of us of Beauty and the Beast, specifically the Beast's castle. The two teas we chose were the rose hip and earl grey. Loved the rose hip, which had a fruity tone and surprisingly liked the earl grey, which I usually don't care for. Sometimes we had to request the server for more tea. The finger sandwiches, salad, and deviled eggs were okay. Nothing spectacular. The favorite sandwich was the cucumber dill. The salad was very bland and basic. The deviled egg was overpowered by dill imo. I was disappointed that the items were not served on a three tier stand, which I have gotten at other places. Instead, they were served on plates. I think the tier stands make the afternoon tea experience more elegant. The scones and desserts were served a bit odd among the group of 9. Instead of there being one scone and one dessert per person, there were a variety to try. It was weird to pass the plates around and cut portions of each to try ourselves. I would rather have one of each to have on my own. The desserts, however, were nice and I think the highlight compared to the other items. Overall, a fun experience with a group, but definitely some areas for improvement. Reservation Ease: 3 Afternoon Tea Food: 2.5 Presentation: 2.5 Ambiance: 5 Teas: 5 Service: 3.5

Yelp
Loved the vibe, ambience and decor it feels like you're in a rustic library but with a high noise level. The menus are inside the books on your table. Pros: Easy reservation Server was great and knowledgeable Seared tuna was delish Crème Brûlée was good, with hint of lemon Cons: Wine came late, done with appetizer already. Our mains took forever as well to come. The Bronzino was a complete blah. The fish and all the accompaniments were just bland. The Shrimp & shortie was ok, the grits and sauce were not complimenting the shrimp and rib, with oddly pickled veg. Apple pie ala mode was big enough for sharing however it lacked cinnamon essence, I mostly taste nutmeg and slivers of apple were very soft felt mushy to the bite. *Our deserts were given as a complimentary since our main dish took forever to be served, though the place was not fully packed, It was a great gesture. Maybe we'll give the high tea a try next time.

Yelp
My wife and I decided to go to Asterisk Supper Club for restaurant week and we are so glad we did! The menu was a little different and inspired by your typical 90s TV dinner. I thought the idea was adorable, but was not expecting how spot on they would make it! The chef delivered our dessert and I asked him if they were opening TV dinners in the back and warming them up. This is a total compliment to the dinner! We were able to reminisce and enjoyed the dinner! We started by ordering drinks and appetizers - potato skins and bagel bites / not your mamas kool aid and her ball n' chain (my absolute favorite). My wife LOVED the kool aid and the face that it came in a little drink pouch. The bagel bite tasted just like a typical bagel bite! For dinner we both decided to order the chicken fried chicken. Again... this reminded me of a frozen TV dinner, but in the best way possible. The chicken was delicious and crispy, the potatoes were delicious, and the corn had a buttery sauce on it that mixed in with the potatoes. I have no clue how they managed to mirror an old classic that I grew up on! For dessert we both tried the toaster strudel... delicious! I would go back just to eat these for a full meal. The pastry was delicious and the mixed berry compote was the perfect mix of sweet and tart. Carson was our waitress and was absolutely amazing! She was very attentive and friendly. We shared plenty of jokes and she really made our evening the best! We will definitely be back and hope that Carson is our waitress again!

Yelp
This was such a cute place to enjoy lunch with friends! As a book lover, I really enjoyed all the different books and that their menu was inside of the books that they give you when you're seated! They have a lot of varieties in terms of teas, and they give free refills (excluding the special teas). I chose the chestnut and apricot oolong tea, which was slightly nutty and really good. They main dishes range from pot pie to steak and I liked how they have more casual options like burgers and sandwiches! The duck sliders were pretty good with lots of tender meat and pickled veggies on sweet Hawaiian rolls. They also gave a slightly tart sauce to dip. I really liked the seasoning on the truffle fries. The burger is a solid option too, although a bit pricey! Our server was really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed! They had plenty of indoor seating and bar seating but it filled up quick so I'd recommend reserving to guarantee a spot!

Oli G.

Yelp
Cozy place so make reservations as EVERYBODY in Westerville knows about it and it fills up quick unless there is open space at the bar. We've eaten here in the past in better weather and sat outside on the patio that's on the side of the building. During this visit we sat at the bar and had a few cocktails: Mexican Aviator, Maple Bourbon Smash, and Kat's Stupid Drink. Both were great. We also had the apple pie a la mode that tasted SCRATCH MADE and was decadent. If your in the area don't hesitate to stop by but MAKE RESERVATIONS

Yelp
A RARE GEM If you're ever in Columbus or already live here, please give this place a try. It has to be one of the best service I've ever had, not to mention the atmosphere and the general vibe. We were invited by my fiancée's best friends to visit this place. I had myself a manhattan with the mocha cake, it was amazing!!! By the end of the night we sat in the bar where we were greeted by amazing bartender named Abby. I had a French Press which was make by Maika (Mika) , spectacular drink btw, I can see myself just lounging and drinking this drink when I visit. To top it off, they had a wonderful musician named TJ that sealed it all off with his wonderful renditions and 90's-2000's classics. A TRUE GEM IN THIS WONDERFUL TOWN, you guys earned yourself a customer for life. Thank you.

Yelp
I was looking for a good place to try afternoon tea and stumbled upon this restaurant. Asterisk has a very nice ambiance, with a dark academia look using books as menus and different pattern tea ware. You do not need a reservation to come here because there is a large shared table in the middle, but it is recommended for a smaller private table. The seats at the large table are very close together and personally do not want to be bumping elbows while I eat. The afternoon tea service was a joy. You can pick as many teas as you like and choose from a variety of finger sandwiches. The service is very good and the servers will explain anything on their menu that you need. The dinner menu has very nice options, but I was not entirely impressed with the flavor. I mainly come here for the atmosphere, but the food isn't terrible, just not amazing. I still recommend this place for an intimate meal or a joyful tea time.

Yelp
Bar service 1000 stars! They are just good and attentive. Drinks are lovely. I've been here in a ball gown my husband in a tux, and also in jeans and a Tshirt. It's awesome for both. Overhead one bartender talking.about the amazing wooden bar. It's one whole piece and was in a movie "Guns of the Timberland" then a company refurbished it for Asterisk. It's just a gem of a place. Friday night was great entertainment by guitarist/one man band JT Hiller. Enjoyed a great black Manhattan and the pot pie. Great portions of veg and chicken and sauce. Not just one or the other. Fluffiest pastry crust, liquid magma core once I cut it, but once it cooled, delish. Hit the spot. Call this place elevated comfort food. I didn't get the meatloaf but I heard food things. This is my go-to Westerville spot. Check it out at least for the amazing bartenders and fancy craft cocktails.

Yelp
Visited Asterisk for the first time during Restaurant Week and really enjoyed the food, drinks, and atmosphere. They have a really great cocktail menu.

Yelp
I love a good afternoon tea and the one at Asterisk is this great combination traditional and comfortable. The restaurant is very cute, with a vintage library theme. There are walls of books and the menu is affixed inside the cover of a used book. It's a fun conversation starter - one of my friends wanted to hold onto hers to flip through the pictures! All of the plates and china are mismatched, which is just charming. Everyone had a different cup, saucer, and tea pot. Asterisk offers tea on the weekends, multiple ways, from a cream tea with scones and jam to a full afternoon tea including soup, salad, sandwiches, scones, and treats, along with a pot of black, herbal, oolong, or green tea in multiple flavors. It's fun to customize your menu! A full tea comes out staggered, rather than on the little tiered trays, so you can enjoy each course. We had a party of 10 and did not feel rushed at all. Today, I wasn't feeling full tea, so had a pot of chai tea latte and split entrees with one of my friends. Turns out, we were both trying to decide between the same two things, and the restaurant kindly split both portions and brought out two very nicely plated half portions. We chose the veggie burger that came with fries (truffle I think) along with the specialty pasta, which today was duck and collard green ragout. We also had scones. The chai latte was very rich from the milk or cream in it, and lightly sweetened, so I added some of the lump sugar that was on the table. It was so good that I was surprised when I finished the pot! Our winning entree was the ragout. We could taste a generous glug of white wine, and plenty of garlic in there with shredded duck and cooked collards, topped with shaved parm. I would not have thought to put that combination together and really enjoyed it! The burger was very nice as well, with slaw and pickles. The fries were delightful. For the scones, the current jam is a cranberry for the holidays, which was really nice with a smear of clotted cream. If you enjoy a good tea, I highly recommend Asterisk. If you do not care for a full tea, they have very nice options and you do not have to order from the same side of the menu as your party, which is a very nice option. They were also very generous about splitting dishes, which we really appreciated.

Yelp
Had the Tea service and it was wonderful. The service was excellent and our server was very attentive. The ambiance of this restaurant is incredible and unique. This was my third Tea and it was as excellent as the first. The food is perfectly seasoned and well presented. Highly recommend this facility

Yelp
Asterisk is one of my husband and my favorite spots for a date night. It's upscale but approachable and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is always delicious. I like that they have a rotating menu. I've also had their afternoon tea with friends and it was lovely. Great place!

Yelp
I'd never had afternoon tea before and this was a fantastic place to start. I love the ambiance and the book menus! Delicious tea, sandwiches, and desserts, as well as wonderful, attentive service. Shout out to Derek for taking great care of me and my friends and for making sure my sandwiches were all gluten-free. I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Amanda T.

Yelp
This small space always manages to pack a hugely flavorful and unique menu into a casual, quirky package. The service is always fast and friendly! They continuously provide the most unique cocktails, I loved the color of the Kat's cocktail, which uses activated charcoal. The mushroom toast is delightful as a starter and I'd definitely recommend the Butterfly Pea Tea for the "wow" color changing factor, even if it's not so flavorful!! As some extra credit, it's always a treat to see what books you get to look at while pursuing the menu. Give this place a shot for a date night or after work gathering!

Heather L.

Yelp
Beautifully crafted atmosphere here. Met friends for Happy Hour. The service, food and drinks were fantastic! They also had a great solo act playing by the bar which made the experience that much better.

Yelp
This place is fabulous. Came here solo while traveling for work and managed to snag a table for an early dinner (reservation recommended, even on a weeknight). Took the recommendations of my server Julia and she did NOT steer me wrong. Absolutely delicious suggestions. I had already looked at the menu and so a few things I had in mind, which she confirmed, and I can honestly say I was completely satisfied with both the food and the drinks (if you like smokey or spicy, they have you covered!). The burrata app is a must! The pot pie comes out very hot. Be patient and let it cool down a bit - the last bite was the very best one. Seriously. And the vibe in here is so unique. If you are a lover of books, you will feel right at home. Would absolutely come back.

Yelp
Visited Asterisk with my party of four on a Saturday when they opened at noon. Got there at 11:55am and was shocked to see a line outside the door. Fortunately we made a reservation and were promptly escorted to our table. We chose to forgo the restaurant's signature tea service to order an assortment of items from their standard menu. Speaking for myself, I enjoyed the Brussels sprouts, beet salad w/steak and burger. The meatloaf didn't quite hit the mark. My companions said that the various sweet teas were hit (peach) or miss(strawberry rhubarb), but we all enjoyed splitting the butter cake, tiramisu cheesecake and cinnamon roll apple pie a la mode. Service and ambiance make this a solid 4 star experience.

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Be careful if you're seated next to the sharp metal railing. My table was pushed right next to it so I ended up whacking my elbow on it which was not a good time. I was also served cold soup. The cheese wasn't even melted at all. It's a shame because it used to be one of my favorite spots

Came here for tea time with my mom and her fiancé! The service was efficient and friendly, we enjoyed the finger sandwiches although it was a very small amount of food. The tea was also delicious! Definitely make a reservation though as they were very packed and unable to accommodate walk-ins.

Yelp
My sisters and I came here for one of their birthdays and we all had such a great experience. We had an 8 pm reservation and were seated promptly. We started off with a round of cocktails and split the roasted butternut dip which was amazing. It was sweet but not too sweet, and we wish we had more bread for it. I ordered the pasta, one sister ordered the chicken pot pie, and the other got the chicken sandwich. We couldn't find any faults with the food we all ordered! Lastly, we got the butter cake with raspberry filling to split. It was such a good way to end the meal. The atmosphere was so nice: it's so cutely decorated with the books lining the walls and a nice cozy vibe. Having the menus placed into old book covers was a nice touch as well. I want to come back to try their afternoon tea soon!

Yelp
My absolute favorite place to get afternoon tea service. My best friend and I go multiple times a year during our girls day. The service is absolutely amazing and the tea, food, and desserts are so delicious. The whole building has the cutest vibe and makes you feel elegant. Make sure you make a reservation to ensure a spot. It's the perfect spot to spend a couple hours just talking and enjoying the moment. The prices are really good as well.

Yelp
Asterisk has become a family tradition to visit the Friday after thanksgivings. My family and myself truly love this place. It's such a cozy, warm and inviting atmosphere with delicious food and friendly service. You will never go ring with Asterisk Supper Club. Always a pleasure dining with them!!!!

Yelp
We came in on a Friday night around 5:30 without a reservation, but the hostess was nice enough to seat us even though the table had a 6:30 reservation instead of turning us away. We were seated immediately and waters were brought to us. Their happy hour is 4-6 with $8 select cocktails, $3 off starters, and $2 off select wines and beer. I got the Tom Collins and my friend got the Daiquiri. Her drink was delicious, but mine had too much ice so it was watered down. We both ordered the fried chicken and poached egg over a pork belly fried rice. Now this is where I'm in a pickle because the chicken and egg was delicious, but that was definitely ham in the fried rice and not pork belly. We were both pretty bummed as we were expecting pork belly. Maybe there's distribution problems for pork belly or they haven't updated the menu? But it's definitely ham! The waitress was nice and checked in on us frequently. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Will come back another time to try something else because the ham threw us off.

Yelp
Haven't been here in a while because of a prior menu change. So glad we decided to give it a try again. Delicious! Standouts were ALL the shrimp options; burger, salad, bowl and toast! Cocktails always perfectly crafted. Had to give 4 stars though because it was uncomfortably warm inside and the beer was on the very low end of cold. Will be back again soon!

Yelp
Ever since our trip to England a few years ago, the kiddo and I are obsessed with fancy tea service. We had heard good things about Asterisk's afternoon tea, so we set out for an adventure. I loved the place immediately upon entering. It has the coolest vibe - like a cross between an old, fancy library and a hip, cool bar or private club. I love the description "feels exclusive, but actually is inclusive" - it perfectly fits Asterisk. The fancy afternoon tea was fabulous. Not cheap, but then the good ones never are. We each selected a pot of delicious tea, then shared tiny tea sandwiches (all of them delicious), scones and pastries. The service and setting were perfection. I happen to love mismatched china and vintage chic. Like any good tea, you don't leave feeling super full - but your senses are utterly satiated by how fantastically fancy it all was. I just love this experience. Dress up if you go - not everyone does, but in my opinion it adds to the overall vibe. You need Asterisk's fancy afternoon tea in your life! Go with someone fabulous.

Yelp
Cozy library-esque ambiance. The dining tables stretch across the length of the restaurant and the seating arrangement feels familiar -- like a meal at the family table. This is the perfect place to have a fun tea and brunch during the day or an intimate meal in the evening. The menu offers a different food experience than anywhere else in Columbus. A variety of fun drinks, some familiar, others an Asterisk treat. I love the variety of the menu which features a combination of familiar home-cooked favorites like pot pie and Amish chicken & noodles or a variety of proteins.
