My favourite patisserie shop in Tokyo. The pistachio series are quite nutty with strong flavour. Mont Blanc used 和栗 which balanced so well with the cream. Going again in several days.

The "Gabriel" cake is an absolute masterpiece and I am not just saying this because I live in Japan, it's because I am French and I know real pastries, and you will understand why Japan beat France for pastries for two years consecutively. This was beyond my expectations. If you ever read this message and would like a good recommendation, I would say this is possibly one of the best pastry shops I've had in Tokyo in my three years over here. There was a pistachio cake too, i have not tried, but will review this week as well. Amazing cake here. Come on France, my people, you better step up! this is embarrassing.

Came all the way from Shibuya, realised it's only for takeaway with no dine in. Bought the no.1 best seller strawberry sponge cake and Limone. The sponge Cake was a bit loose and taste similar to other cake shops that sells strawberry cake. Limone was a bit rich with more chocolate flavours rather than lemon citrus flavour. It's a very genuine cake shop. Whole experience would probably be better if they can cater dine in with simple tea and coffee as an option.

Went there on a Sunday at around 2:30pm and there was a queue of around 10 people. I ordered a birthday cake online for pickup at the shop so I could skip the queue to get in. The staff felt efficient but unfriendly. The interior of the shop was nice though. The cakes on display looked really good so I had high expectations but when I actually tasted the strawberry shortcake, I was disappointed. The sponge was on the dry side and the layering of the sponge and cream was uneven. There were big chunks of strawberries randomly scattered between the sponges. I'm still interested in trying the other cakes there but when it comes to whole cakes, there are much better choices out there.

Really really fancy. But there are many similar patisseries in Shibuya which are good, hard to say. I think what put Asterisque apart is their creativity. Unique combination of ingredients.

Hands down the best cake shop in town. They have seasonal items too so it's nice to be trying different selections. I came in on a holiday and was surprised it was still open! And the line was super long! Turns out you could make reservations for your cake over the phone and skip the line and just pick up and pay. I am a huge fan of their Mont Blanc cake and also their chocolate cakes ! But you must try everything, couldn't find one that I didn't like :D

Service was unfriendly. The lady behind the counter was unhappy and no sense of joy. The experience felt more akin to filing taxes at the tax office. Also, she asked me twice in a span of 30 seconds to put on my face mask (wasn’t quick enough the first time) - unpleasant being treated like a school kid. Already had a cake reserved, so kept my commitment to the transaction. The cake was good, but also had a little fruit fly embedded next to one of the strawberries on the cake. No parking, so access by foot or bike. First time, and last time to consume any sweets at this place. Much better service (and more options) at a department store, including free parking.
