The stuffed french toast is outta control! Love the atmosphere in this place as well.

Other than the muffins, everything is awesome. Love the burgers, but a tip on the fries if you're ordering take out--open the package immediately to keep them crips on the outside. If you leave the fries in the package they'll steam themselves in to a soggy yet still delicious awesomeness. Great, simple cakes at this place. Live Jazz should run longer than a single, one hour set, but I love that this place patronizes local talent as far more places in New York should. Love the cheesecake.

I have got to say that this is probably my new favorite spot for Brunch. My first visit to this place was on New Year's Day, and I have to say it was a great start to the year! Love this place, the staff is super wonderful, and the owner is VERY charming! If you visit soon you will find the Lemon Tree in bloom with delicious smelling blossoms! :) Now I have to make in for dinner as well! :)

I have been there 3 times because it's near my house, but I am not coming back. The first 2 times I waited for about 20-30 minutes to get a menu and didn't until I went up to the counter and asked. Then the last time, in anticipation of the wait I went and ordered a coffee to stay at the counter, which they did not bring for 40 minutes. I asked the waitress for my coffee and she brought it after that. They are probably good for to-go things since quality of the product is good, and possibly groups garner more attention than a lone customer-- you'll have to take your chance.

Stopped by Astor Bake Shop late in the day for some takeout. I was craving their 'Astor Burger'... After ordering to go, I decided to stay although they were closing in 20 minutes. The host did a great job at accommodating my wife and I. Keep up the great work! I highly recommend their Astor Burger and Garlic Fries.

Other reviewers are right on the money: the service can be spotty, but the food has hit the mark for me on a number of occasions. Great breakfast (not brunch) spot. So let me paint the bigger picture here for urban explorers and out-of-towners. This is a great compliment to the area's other draws -- an area probably overlooked by most. Visit the Noguchi Museum and Socrates Sculpture park and work the Astor Bake Shop into the mix. If you don't enjoy your day of exploring, then you have my permission to never read another one of my reviews ever again.

I ordered a cake for my girlfriend's surprise birthday party. I was running really late to pick it up and they stayed there another 45 mins after closing time. Thanks to them, I was able to pick it up and surprise her with it. She and other people at the party loved the cake. My girlfriend loved the cake so much that she wants to order another one for her niece's 1 year old birthday. Thanks for your help!!!

My daughter brought me here because she loves their chocolate croissants. Everything I've ate from here is delicious. Only complaint is they are a little pricy, but never the less still delicious!
