In early 2007, I was walking the dog and the owner was inside building out the interior, he stopped, came out, and introduced himself. That makes it over 16 years that I've been coming here. I'm mostly a morning Astoria person getting a latte and typically a breakfast sandwich croissant.
I can walk here. If you know the Addison Circle area at all, this place has been here in its name and primary staff the second longest on the circle. Many places have come and gone since then. I have always been treated great here. They run a tight ship (I am certain this has driven their longevity), I think some other reviews reflect that such as asking folks to not bring outside food/drink or to order something when the place is super busy, but that is normal in the industry - I worked as a bartender for several years and we had the same rules. It's a cool interior and patio, good drinks morning and evening.
On the food, it's not fine dining of course but there is a wide selection and I have breakfast and lunch (the Astoria Panini typically) here at least a couple of times a week. The convenience, drinks, service/staff and helping the neighborhood I live in stay vibrant warrants 5 stars.
