"Head to this spot for a Parisian-style outdoor moment on the patio with a cup of caffe and a sweet treat. The hot paninis make a great lunch and in the evening Astoria becomes a vibey wine bar." - Courtney E. Smith, Amy McCarthy

Yelp
Love how close it is to my house, and I just specifically love the location/setting of it. Recommend sitting outside. The Servers are friendly and they help you understand the menu better and the coffee and cakes were tasty. Although I do believe it is a tad bit expensive for a coffee stop. It was the same as having dinner somewhere else. Plus I did not like having the suggested tip start off at 25% instead of 20% so I can see how people can get confused and tip more than what they would've wanted.

Yelp
We come here reasonably often. My wife and I have a coffee and some form of treat daily around mid-afternoon. We stopped in to Astoria today to get a coffee and dessert. We had a cappuccino, mocha frappuccino, carrot cake slice and a piece of Oreo cheesecake. Today it was obvious the prices have gone up appreciably. I was a little shocked that our bill was so much higher. In addition, the server presented the bill on one of those automated credit card machines. (I hate them, especially when the server stands there and waits for you to select a tip amount. ) The options were 22%, 25% and 28%. When is it appropriate to tip a server 28% for bringing you two overpriced coffees and a couple of desserts. In addition, they were playing rap music and there were cigar smokers on the patio. I don't like either. It is a very European feeling café and in the past the service has been much better. This time, the server was hanging around in the kitchen area and not caring for her tables. I literally had to go to the counter to order desserts and to request the bill and a to-go box. Definitely, not as nice a place as it was when we first found it. Service is so important, and today it was very sub-par.

Yelp
I was excited to try this place out as I had seen it a few times during my visits here. Since I don't live in the area and generally take public transport, it was a long journey to get here. On 4/13/2024, I walked in and spotted a tiny sign saying to wait to be seated. I decided to get my order to-go because it was so loud and noisy inside and every table outside was taken. I was ignored when I walked up to what I thought was a counter to order and walked back to the door. After about a minute, someone came up and asked if I needed a table and I told her I was not staying but wanted to order. She directed me to the bar area. Two men there ordered. When it was my turn I told her I hadn't seen a menu but had an idea of what I wanted to order based on the photos on their page. She slid over a little tent thing with a QR code to scan. The QR code took a while to scan but it was just a drink menu and no food menu. I simply told her I was ready and was largely ignored. After like two minutes, she and another waitress were at the bar area. I said I was ready to order and she looked at the other waitress and told her I looked ready to order. Both of them walked away. An older man and woman appeared behind the bar but they too ignored me and looked at me like I was some sort of bug that was unwelcomed when I said I was ready to order. I waited for about three more minutes and had had enough. I called my friends and as I walked past them, began to tell my friend about the horrible service there. The trip wasn't a whole waste as I was able to get something from a place called Java & Brews? Got a tea from there instead. Then I went to a place called Bonchon for food. Better service at the other places. This is honestly the worst customer service experience I've had at any of the places in Addison Circle besides the little store there.

Yelp
Lovely spot for the location, menu selection, and service. Was able to enjoy a few drinks both outside for the nice view and wonderful weather, and inside where there was plenty of seating and a cozy atmosphere. Ordered a chai latte, one iced and one warm, and both were delicious! I will be trying it spiked during my next visit.

Yelp
I love Astoria. The atmosphere is very European-Esque. Service is slow but in a good way, very peaceful. I love their coffee and have come back a few times! Love their coffee and wine selection. The Astoria cake is next level good!

Ike K.

Yelp
Food is very expensive and the service is very slow. Also when we paid, the lowest recommended tip was 22%!

Erika C.

Yelp
Enjoyed the laidback vibes here and the employees knew the menu like that back off their hands. As recommended, the meat & cheese board was FIVE STARS!! Great chill spot for a date night or hanging with friends!!

Mariella T.

Yelp
Really lovely place. Always take friends here after going to Addison circle park events. It's open late so it's a great spot to drink/ have coffee and some cake while you wind down for the evening. Beautiful ambience and lighting, always seasonally decorated. Coffee and drinks are good, service is always phenomenal and carrot cake is a must order every time!!

Yelp
This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a really long time. The restaurant is on a nice tree lined street by the part and the outdoor patio is lovely but that's where it ends. The service was awful and the food was subpar. It wasn't even very busy and the it took the waitress a long time to even come over to see if I wanted anything to drink. For a wine bar, they selection of wines by the glass was subpar at best. Cheap wines that were overpriced and no champagne by the glass so I ordered a beer. I asked for water with no ice and she brought me a bottle of acqua panna water. I asked for tap water and she said they didn't have any - their filtered water was broken?? She said I could either pay $4 for the bottled water or not have any water and seemed surprised that I would even want water with my dinner. So I didn't have any water The food menu looked good on paper - I ordered a bruschetta for an appetizer and a prosciutto panini. Less than 5 min later they brought both at the same time. I said I expected to get the appetizer first and they said I needed to tell the server that I wanted one before the other. Why I would even need to say that I want an appetizer before the main eludes me. The panini was basically bread - there was one super thin slide of prosciutto and barely any cheese for $18. The bruschetta would have been good it was on nice crusty bread but it was on thin, almost pita like bread which was disappointing. Oh and there were flies and bugs all over the food. 10 min after I asked for the check, I finally was able to pay and get out of there and the card reader automatically defaults to a 22% tip so service that was awful at best. I don't recommend anything about this place. There are a ton of better food choices in Dallas - don't waste a meal at Astoria.

Yelp
Quaint coffee and wine bar in prime location! Love the festive drinks and decor for the holiday season and always greeted by friendly staff. Both outdoor and indoor seating! Highly recommend the elderberry gimlet :) Only downside is sometimes it's hard to find parking given it's near Addison circle.

Brooke D.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend got drinks here and really enjoyed both! My only complaint about this place is that the service can be slow. Otherwise, a very nice little spot!

Jamie T.

Yelp
Waiter was kind of creepy but you know, he had really good barista skills and was very knowledgeable despite us not really asking for his input but hey, kudos to him Restaurant was very beautiful inside and outside and great for a date (just don't talk about private matters)!

Minna C.

Yelp
RUDE X100. The service sucks. Never have been so mistreated even before we got our water. I had gone before and liked the vibe inside and the drinks. But NEVER AGAIN will i be going nor will i ever recommend this place We went as a group of 12. This bald male server with an accent gave us dirty looks, didn't come to us to take our order for 10 mins, and had the nerve to make deliberately rude comments, remarks, faces and actions. Assumed because we are asians that we wanted cheap wine and got mad at us when we asked for water not knowing it was the small bottled ones and not tap. He huffed and puffed and cut us off and rolled his eyes, while he was super sweet to the table next to us. Friend made a call after we left to talk about the server's rude treatment, only to be hung up by some girl saying this is the food &beverage line. RUDE AF. DONT GO

Yelp
This little spot can only be described as delightful. The ambiance, dessert, wine selection, service, and coffee quality are all 10/10 for reasonable pricing. I just moved to this area and know this will be a go-to spot. I LOVE that they stay open late AND serve coffee. Very unique place and feels like home already.

Mor M.

Yelp
Great European style cafe , I love their espresso martini. Good vibes and excellent service provided by Lauren. Thank you!

John R.

Yelp
I have heard about this restaurant for a while. We have tried to come before but there are often smokers at many of the outdoor tables and we left. Today I stopped in to get some to go items. There were smokers outside the door and we had to walk through it to get in. The items were disappointing and I had to take a shower and do my laundry. Very disappointing.

Yelp
Cute European style coffee shop and Brunch place in the heart of Addison. My friend and I visited this place on the Christmas Eve and really enjoyed the vibe. We ordered avacado toast and chicken panini. Food tasted decent. I also got the almond milk latte which tasted really good with pretty latte art. The service was good too. A good place to catch up with friends and family. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Yelp
I think this place is so popular it doesn't need more reviews but I truly like going there on a rainy day since it's so cozy. I like that you can either get alcoholic drinks or coffe drinks. It makes me feel like there is something for everyone in my group no matter their drink preferences.

Yelp
Just realized this was a Cafe and Wine Bar. My daughter and I went this afternoon to try it out. We were asked if we wanted to be on patio or inside. We chose patio, weather was perfect. She had a mimosa and Mexican coffee for me , both delicious! We just wanted a light snack so we had the stuffed dolmas. Was a wonderful choice! They were yummy! 5 dolmas, with tomato slices, cucumber slices, & olives . There was no rush, we could sit and talk. The server was so sweet and gave us ample time to make our choice. We will definitely be going again soon! Small, neighbor establishments are most times the best! This one certainly is!

Yelp
I come here all the time and usually so happy that's why I come here and today was a flop. We asked for water twice never got it but tables around us got water. I got a house coffee and it was cold and never a refill. Last but not least I get lox and bagel my favorite breakfast. Usually great but today I was sadly disappointed!!! Cream cheese must be on back order as only a small piece couldn't cover two bagels. The salmon was such a small portion would not even cover one bagel. I am so disappointed as this is close to me and always been great so not sure what as changed?? We usually have the nice girl waitress, the guy needs to get it together and if the kitchen changing things let me know. I want to come back but honestly concerned.

Yelp
In early 2007, I was walking the dog and the owner was inside building out the interior, he stopped, came out, and introduced himself. That makes it over 16 years that I've been coming here. I'm mostly a morning Astoria person getting a latte and typically a breakfast sandwich croissant. I can walk here. If you know the Addison Circle area at all, this place has been here in its name and primary staff the second longest on the circle. Many places have come and gone since then. I have always been treated great here. They run a tight ship (I am certain this has driven their longevity), I think some other reviews reflect that such as asking folks to not bring outside food/drink or to order something when the place is super busy, but that is normal in the industry - I worked as a bartender for several years and we had the same rules. It's a cool interior and patio, good drinks morning and evening. On the food, it's not fine dining of course but there is a wide selection and I have breakfast and lunch (the Astoria Panini typically) here at least a couple of times a week. The convenience, drinks, service/staff and helping the neighborhood I live in stay vibrant warrants 5 stars.

Yelp
This coffee/wine bar has a New York and European atmosphere to it. I am a wine lover and I love the selections of wine they have!!! The food pairs delicious with their wine and their delicious coffee. I have tried their Italian prosciutto panini with Cesar salad and their cheese/charcuterie board and it is absolutely delicious. It is absolutely my favorite place to come when I need to study, I am meeting a friend for dinner or simply just come to people watch in their courtyard. The cherry on top is the amazing service they provide. Astoria has my heart

Yelp
We met some friends here for a late Saturday evening coffee & dessert splurge. With six of us, we lucked out with comfy seats inside. I was pleasantly surprised to find they have a fairly expansive menu beyond coffee. Since I was a little hungry, I ordered a small pepperoni pizza. It hit the spot. A bit later, I ordered a cappuccino/extra shot and a slice of their Tres Leches cake. Both were delicious. Others in our group ordered various drinks/desserts and enjoyed what they had. It's a pleasant atmosphere with something of a fun intercontinental crowd going on. They definitely have their regulars keeping them busy- including some which had an intense game of Backgammon. It was interesting to watch. Key to remember, if you have a group- definitely make reservations with them. Like I said, we lucked out with the tables we got. :) Overall, fun place, and I'd easily go again.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Great service and fantastic food. I recommend the Chicken Melt the most. Outside patio is such a fun atmosphere. If you're ever in Addison this is a must-go place. They also gave us free tickets to the event nearby, just because. 11/10!

Idris A.

Yelp
This is my go to spot for wine! Great selection, helpful staff, and affordable prices. If you're in the Addison area, go ahead and treat yourself to this casual and laid back treasure!

Emi S.

Yelp
Love this place. Great location, good coffee, amazing environment! Great for relaxing with your love ones! Friendly services! Highly highly recommended!!!

EL D.

Yelp
Wonderful little cafe that reminds me of being in Europe. I really enjoyed the ambiance and the delicious coffee. Very friendly servers. I didn't experience any "creepy" or "rude" behavior. I would definitely come here again.

Sarah S.

Yelp
This place is so cute for a date or a solo outing. I occasionally come here to sit outside, read a book, and have an espresso martini. I also appreciate that they offer decaf espresso and flavored vodka.

Kirena D.

Yelp
My husband and I love this place. Great cocktails and wine. It really does feel like Europe. Yes, that means that the service style is different from your average American cafe --service is slower and the waiters will not harass and interrupt you asking if everything is fine. It's not Applebees. Order an Aperol Spritz and enjoy the vibes

Taegan B.

Yelp
Not the most amazing experience. I can relate to reviews about the creepy waiter...also, i asked for water with lemon and was served lukewarm water in a plastic cup with a lime wedge. The ice blended hot chocolate sounded good but was told it tasted like watered down chocolate syrup mixed with ice - not recommended.

Eileen C.

Yelp
Best place! Awesome food and drinks! Great atmosphere! Oggi is the best waiter! Highly recommend!

Shannon W.

Yelp
Cute cute cute little spot!! Cakes and coffee at both really good. The ambiance really does feel like NYC and I love that it's in a little neighborhood that has the Astoria feel. The prices are quite high if you ask me, but the ambience made paying the price worth it. Nice and quiet on a Wednesday afternoon.

Robert R.

Yelp
A great place that has been around for a long time. Fantastic and friendly service, nice indoor or outdoor seating with ambiance, great drinks and make sure to get the pistachio dessert while there, you won't be disappointed!

Mohsin S.

Yelp
Been here a few times in the last couple of months. Nice location with a European vibe. The sidewalk cafe can be nice in the evening. They serve wine, coffee drinks and food (sandwiches, charcuterie board type stuff) and the desserts a nice. Reason for 2 stars is that on my last visit I discovered that their prices are inconsistent between the takeout menu, the QR scanned online menu and the receipt ! Of course the receipt had the highest price and even after attempting to explain the prices to the server, I was charged a price for my drink which differed from the published prices. So ... enjoy the coffee and desserts, but check your receipt carefully !

Ariella C.

Yelp
I LOVE this place. Any other day it's a five star. The food, drinks, dessert are always lovely anytime I come when I visit, I have to come here. You gotta get a piece a cake, it's just a must. The service has always been wonderful. They have the cutest lil dog and the husband and wife are adorable. Today wasn't that day. The waitress we had today wasn't great. I don't know if she was having a bad day or she was a bad waitress but she wasn't good. There was a girl's brunch across the way that she was serving and six other tables outside. We were served once we were sat and said we had one more person. We finished our food, once our third person arrived, she didn't come to the table to greet them. She was focused solely on the party table. Other tables weren't gotten to much either. We flagged her down at a certain point. She came and took our guest's order and didn't ask anyone else if they needed anything. We wanted to order more as well. We also had dirty dishes that she didn't take. Eventually she took them when there was no room at the table. She then left the shift, we flagged her down for our check but she said she finished her shift. She didn't tell us she was leaving and no one else came out to assist with the outdoor seating. I always tip well, today was not that day.

Janae G.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday afternoon. The ambiance was nice and quiet. Perfect place for me to study. I enjoyed a glass of wine and had an everything bagel that had egg, bacon, and cheese. It was delicious. I gave it 4 stars bc I had to flag my server down every time I needed service but otherwise, a nice place to go for a chill day out.

Huma A.

Yelp
The coffee was cold, the server was even colder. The manager has rule that number of orders should be as many people are in one gathering. That sucks.. few people in our group just wanted to hang. Forcefully a friend of mine bought a juice and asked for glass which was super stinky. When complained, server just took the glass away without offering to replace the juice which got wasted. Not worth a trip to this place imo!

Nathan H.

Yelp
Outstanding coffee, food, and service! This place deserves 5 stars. Definitely coming back.

Jordan C.

Yelp
I was in town and didn't want to go to the usual Starbucks. Astoria was within walking distance of my hotel, so that was where I went. I walked in and it was quite busy with tables both inside and outside. An employee let me know I could make a to-go order at the coffee bar, so I headed over and ordered an iced turtle. The drink was okay- the syrups fell straight to the bottom as they weren't mixed with the warm espresso before the ice was added.

Appal B.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. I have spent the last couple days going here and studying and it has been amazing! The staff is always friendly.. I had a slight hiccup with one staff member.. she just seems intense sometimes. However Page is awesome! She is informative, she is patient and she always has a smile on her face..( yes through her mask) lol I can tell. I've had my fav chamomile tea everyday. They also have many diff other coffee and teas. I've tried the avocado toast, the avocado smash and an amazing salmon salad. Everything so far has bre just great. My new fav place!

Sophia J.

Yelp
The worst experienced in the 8-9 years I've been coming here. My friends and I felt very offended from the service provided by one specific server. If I could give a zero star, I most definitely would have.

Charley K.

Yelp
Great neighborhood cafe with quiet atmosphere. Good for after lunch chat with your spouse.

Gabriela H.

Yelp
I used to love this place, I go at least once a week but service is not great and prices are too high for it to be a hit or miss. You do need to know what to order there. Paninis are great, coffees are great but can be a hit or miss depending on their day. Stick to the paninis and signature coffee, everything else could be a miss.

Bill P.

Yelp
Short and sweet... the best coffee in north Texas. You just can go wrong with this place.

Kylie K.

Yelp
If you're starving I wouldn't pick this place for a meal as the portions of food are a bit small but good quality and wonderful drinks!

Joseph G.

Yelp
Love this place. Not sure why I'm seeing so many mixed reviews. Coffee is excellent. Price is a little high but so is the quality and atmosphere so you get what you pay for. The people always take great care of me when I come in. I can't complain.

Vivien H.

Yelp
I'm becoming a regular here for real. I just love Addison circle! The morning crew is more attentive and much younger than at night. I don't know why they don't wanna make money by askin if we want another round. That's the reason why I'm giving 4 star only. This area is very diverse just as their customers. I love the outside seating, no matter what time of the day I come here, I always sit out. Honestly they make better boozy coffees than cocktails. I like their pastries, I had the prosciutto sandwich with pickles which was phenomenal, especially the pickles, haha, I'm a huge fan if you haven't noticed :) The tres leches cake was very tasty, they make cute coffee art as well. The nutty latte was too sweet but I asked for some extra milk so I was fine. If you smoke they change your ashtray often, so others doesn't have to smell it. Big thumbs up! Will come back to try more goodies here. Probably daytime!

Benjamin C.

Yelp
Eating brunch with a friend.. As we had a four legged companion with us, finding a place seemed like it was going to be a hindrance. However we found this place in near Addison Circle Park with outdoor seating. I got the Astoria Club Panini. It's a mix of their deli meats; Ham, Turkey, Corned Beef, and Genoa Salami with Mozzarella, Lettuce, and Tomatoes. The bread was nicely toasted and crispy, but the insides of of the sandwich were not heated because of it. Thus the mozzarella did not melt. But I did like that the tomato was not cooked/mushy. So, I guess that's a pro. I also ended up getting the chips as a side. They were standard. In conclusion, I think it's a neat little place with an interesting vibe. I think the cheese platters would be great for a small size group and good coffee place, but I just wasn't expecting to get coffee at the moment. Service wasn't the fastest, but it is what it is.

Cassandra D.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place only because of the quaint location and it's open late but I've stopped going I tried to ignore and look over the fact that I always get this awkward service but these ppl are in fact very racist. It takes forever for my order to even be taken

Paul T.

Yelp
Bravo to this place, its hard working waitresses who provide such a great experience! The place has an European look and feel, one can sense it - the tables outside, the menu and the overall friendliness. In fact, I came to find out the owners are Bulgarians. A great place to sip a coffee or a glass of Courvoiser after dinner in good company. After a business dinner, we all came in and enjoyed a few hours of good conversation. Waitress was very pleasant, attentive, quick to answer any questions and it made us feel special. My colleagues got a taste of European hospitality and friendliness. Next time in Dallas will make sure to stop by again.
