We walked across the downtown during a hot day to enjoy treats from this delicious pastry shop. The selection of treats is absurd. The options are plentiful. I opted for the cannoli and the cookies and cream cheesecake. The flavours on both were really good. The cheesecake could have used a different crust, but everything else tasted incredible. The cannoli could use orange peel on the one end instead of so many slivered almonds. Great pastry shop, will try something else next time. 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Even through the construction, this place never disappoints. My family from AZ said they don't have spots like this. Its so hard to choose because everything looks good. Staff was helpful

Disappointed with Astoria! We got 4 different items and apart from the chocolate cannoli they rest were so so. The red velvet cupcake was dry (icing was good); the baklava (pistachio) was ok I’ve had much better; the meringue had a weird after taste. Regardless to say I will be back. Service was efficient and the store is nice and clean/inviting but the pastries and baked goods left a lot to be desired.

Google
I went with really high expectations and found their selection kind of limited. Their cakes looked good but not much baked goods or pastries. I got a pastry which I don’t remember it’s name but it was a little too sweet and not the freshest. Will go back again to try more items

If you're exploring Greektown, don’t miss this gem of a bakery! Nestled right in the heart of the neighborhood, this family-owned shop has been delighting visitors since 1971 with a mouthwatering selection of over 100 pastries. We tried their famous baklava and a cream roll—both were absolutely delicious and had a unique, rich flavor that stood out. You can taste the tradition in every bite. While they do offer some seating, it's limited—so be ready to enjoy your treat standing or strolling the charming streets of Greektown. ✅ Highly recommend adding this to your foodie list!

Staff is very welcoming. The pastries all look so good. We got a cinnamon roll & raspberry strudel for breakfast and apple muffins and macaroons for later. Definitely recommend this place!!

Google
One of, if not the best bakeries in all of Michigan. Great location, an absolute HUGE selection of all classic and unique pastries and sweets. Their huge selection does not take anything away from their quality though. Hands down, the best walnut traditional baklava I’ve EVER had. Also, their chocolate cannolis are unlike any other cannoli you’ve ever had. After major Detroit sporting events or concerts, this place gets crazy busy so keep that in mind when going. Parking is limited nearby also, but that is to no fault of the bakery. If you’re staying downtown, it’s pretty much walkable from anywhere.

Google
Amazing collection of pastries, cream rolls, cakes. If you have a sweet tooth- this is the place to go if you are in Detroit, located at the center if Greek town district. Have a small dining area too. We had strawberry cream rolls and they were too good. Worth a visit.

Yelp
Sweet treats as far as the eyes can see!! Very tight space and the line almost always seems never ending but it moves quickly but your reward for endurance is a piece of deliciousness. I came twice over the weekend and immediately became a fan. I had the cinnamon roll, white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, strawberry cream cheese roll, hot chocolate, an affogato, and a single shot of espresso on my two visits. I, of course, shared my items with my sister because I'm not a glutton!! We wanted to try more options but I'm sure our blood sugars couldn't take any more hits and we had to give it a rest. As i mentioned, it is a very tight space, so seating is very limited. Where we did sit we were right up next to the line so we could feel other customers breathing down our necks while we enjoyed our time. They also sell in-house made full size cakes and take orders upon request for large dishes.

Yelp
I came in off the yelp search and I tried the turtle brownie and the cinnamon rolls they were amazing and fresh . The place is clean, nice and they have so many options if you have not tried them you should .

Yelp
Astoria would receive 5-stars for the visual appeal alone. We visited on a late Thursday afternoon when there were few visitors and ample time to explore all of their offerings. We settled on three pastries that we shared: a Napoleon, a chocolate dipped coconut treat and a turtle pretzel. Each dessert was divine in its own way. Beautifully presented, sweet and flavorful, soft or crunchy in just the right ways. The turtle pretzel was the favorite with its combination of salty, chocolaty, gooey, crunchy goodness. And it was huge. Marking down one star for the slightly "dry" taste of the Napoleon and coconut log; likely from sitting out in the display case for a while. Located in Greektown, always an inviting attraction in downtown Detroit, a visit to Astoria is a pleasure. The staff were attentive, the store cafe was small but comfortable and the prices were fair.

Yelp
The most delicious pastries in Greektown. Conveniently located just across the street. I have to stop here every time I go to Greektown. Every thing is DELICIOUS You cannot go wrong. Take a number and wait for it.

Yelp
It was super crowded at Astoria Pastry Shop as we walked in on a Sunday morning. The interior was filled with customers, both sitting at the tables and crowding around the display cases looking to order. Since this was our first visit, we were pretty confused on how everything worked. There was a number dispenser, but it didn't look like they were taking orders by the numbers. Instead it was basically chaos trying to find a person to help. Eventually, things settled down a bit and we ended up getting a couple of pastries to try out: Chocolate Cannoli ($4.25) - This was pretty expensive for a cannoli; you can usually find them around the area for around $3. This one was a bit different from a typical cannoli though. The filling wasn't ricotta. Instead, it was more like a chocolatey flavored stabilized whipped cream. The shell was decently crisp, a bit soggier on the top but not overly so. The entire cannoli was covered in chocolate, with chocolate sprinkles on the end. The chocolate tasted like something else was mixed in, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Anise perhaps? Baklava ($2.95) - This baklava is a bit larger than the typical Middle-Eastern bakery triangle and absolutely soaked in a cinnamon honey syrup. Syrup was running off all over the wax wrapper and all around the pastry box. The phyllo takes in some of the moisture so isn't the most crisp. It's so, so sweet. I couldn't eat more than two bites before I had to tap out due to how sweet it was. I guess if you have a really big sweet tooth, you would like this baklava more than me. It's also kind of expensive; I know Greek baklava is not the same, but price-wise, you can get baklava from any Middle-Eastern bakery around the area for half of what this costs. Honey Curl ($4.75) - The honey curl was so sticky that I had trouble separating it from the wax paper. The flavor mainly consisted of sweet honey, cinnamon and some orange zest notes. This was basically a flat sheet, rolled up into a 3 or 4 inch diameter curl, fried, then soaked in a honey mixture. The texture is kind of like a fried item that's been sitting a while - very similar to the Chinese snack sachima but less dense. Birds Nest ($3.75) - The birds nest was adorned with crushed green nuts on top that felt a little stale. It didn't taste like pistachio, instead it seemed to be some other nut dyed green. The very top layers of phyllo had a bit of fresh crisp, but the interior was an indistinct mash of syrup, nuts and phyllo. Again, super sweet. Astoria Pastry Shop is not my cup of tea, but I can see why people enjoy it. The treats will definitely satisfy the sweetest of sweet tooths. Personally, I just don't like my desserts to be excessively sweet and drenched in syrup.

Yelp
This place is a pastry heaven (shirt idea) I gladly take a commission for the idea. . This place has a pastry for everyone, from donuts, kronuts, to cannolis and cookies. It was definitely a lot to look at. $45 later left with a box full of . All delicious . Great mom and pop establishment and like the old Town feel. Customer service was good. Appreciate their patience.

Yelp
Astoria has the most amazing bakery items...I tried the heart cookie (sugar cookie with chocolate for frosting), a black and white cookie, macarons, Michigan cherry cookie, peanut clusters, and chocolate baklava. While none of these disappoint, the chocolate baklava is by far, my very favorite. They sell it in squares about 2" by 2" and they are about 2" high. They have a wonderful crunch yet are soft in the middle from the honey. The counter personnel work hard but there are so many visitors at this location that they aren't especially personable. The bakery is in a small space but has a few seats in the back because most people take their purchases to go. We came in midday so it was fairly quiet but by the time we left, a line had developed. If it's crowded when you go, be sure to grab a number.

Yelp
We stopped in after a dinner across the street to get some sweets and a coffee. Amazing/ fresh baked cookies, cakes and ice cream. The service was prompt and friendly, they accept cash and card. There is limited seating inside, but we were just grabbing it to go. If you want a quiet coffee and pastry experience, the mornings are perfect for this.

Yelp
Astoria was sooo busy during the tree lighting this year, but it was a well deserved and needed treat for all us hungry peeps craving something sweet. You can't go wrong with anything here, honestly. I bought the key lime cheesecake and the apple crisp cheesecake. Both were excellent and perfect to share! Hot chocolate was also delicious!

Yelp
I happened to be in Detroit again for work and Astoria was right around the corner, so I decided to give them another visit. I got there about 10 minutes before they opened and they thoughtfully let me in anyways. Being that I was about to drive back to Ohio and really needed coffee to help get me there, this definitely earned them another star in my eyes. This time their espresso machine was working so I was able to get a latte and it was delicious. The macarons were just as amazing as they were the last time. Next time, I'll branch out and pick a few more items to try.

Yelp
Bland and flavor lacking desserts. The cannoli and the napoleon had the same filling and my friend and I both agreed that it had no flavor. The orange pie had better texture and a lot of syrup but it tired me out very quick. Over the top! The baklava was the best choice out of the several desserts I ordered. I came to this shop because I was told they had great ice cream. I thought it was airy and not to the level of expectation. They have a nice space and do a great job in desserts presentation but need to pay attention to the recipe formulas and maybe update.

Yelp
This is a pastry lovers dream! We were walking by and everything looked so good we just had to stop. The folks working inside were very friendly and helpful. Hot coffee is available and quite good. Very neat and clean inside.

Yelp
Love the macarons and cannoli, great pastries and always tastes the same (consistent). Always grab it to go after a day in Greektown. Delish

Yelp
Craving something sweet? Check out this bakery. It has everything under the sun. We decided to try their apple muffin. It was light and fluffy- not too dry. Price is reasonable.

Tammy S.

Yelp
Sweets are amazing but staff could use some customer service training! They were abrupt and pushy, didn't give us time to look before forcing us to complete purchase.

Jason S.

Yelp
Everything I've tried has been incredible. I recommend the German chocolate cake, custard rolls, and the crème brûlée!

Yelp
Highly recommend stopping here for a sweet treat or a gift to bring! Service is great and packaging is nice. Stopped by Sunday evening and it was surprisingly packed with people. You have to grab a number and wait for them to call you. Beautiful array of desserts and it is so hard to pick what to get. 2 of the workers recommended the fruit tart and pumpkin roll. I purchased the fruit tart, Blueberry Bread Pudding with Rum and Chocolate Pretzel. Everything was delicious and gets a 10/10!

Yelp
Okay, this pastry shop looked super inviting with so many kinds of sweet pastries on grand display. The orange pie caught our attention quickly so we got it, and the tiramisu also looked very inviting. But unfortunately they didn't really taste as good as they looked though. The tiramisu was disappointing - the bottom of my tiramisu bowl was very wet with super watery coffee liquid, and the lady fingers were just too soaking wet. The top half of the tiramisu was doing much better but the mascarpone cheese could've been sweeter. The orange pie was interesting - glad that I bought and tried it, but I don't think I'll ever get it again. While the cake was soaked in orange syrup, somehow it still tasted dry, which was mind blowing to me. We also tried the "honey curl" which essentially was a deep fried filo dough soaked in honey and topped with pistachios. While it sounded promising, it just tasted oily. Not my cup of tea, sadly :(

Yelp
Established by the Teftis family in 1971 Astoria Pastry Shop is interwoven in the history of downtown Detroit, the Greektown location still standing while those in the suburbs can also find a similar selection of Baked Goods in Royal Oak. Advertising "over 100 fine Pastries" daily, George Teftsis' son Tasso now in charge, Astoria Pastry Shop looks unchanged from the turn of the century, everything from Macarons to Sweet Potato Pie lined up adjacent traditional sweets such as Koulourakia and Finikia. Most famous for Balkava, several styles offered including various Nuts and even Chocolate, additional choices on this day included a nutty Apricot Tart and two Cookies, a "Shell" featuring crisp Meringue around filling half-dipped in Chocolate while the "Black & White" was nothing like its deli namesake and more like Hardtack.

Yelp
Very good. Delicious but a bit pricey for their sweets. Took a box home for my fiancé. She thought it was too sweet. By the time I came home, the box was leaking and dripping with at least 1/2 cup of syrup. The box was destroyed by the syrup. So be prepared for the sweetness. Overall the baklava is amazing! Just a bit pricey but they are big pieces.

Yelp
I was walking outside and I passed by this cute antique pastry shop. I walked in and I was stunned to see so many delicious goodies on display! I ordered the strawberry shortcake, banana chocolate muffin, and a cinnamon roll. I could definitely tell they were made in the back, not prepackaged. The staff were also friendly with us and hand wrapped each pastry with care. I would like to mention that the muffin was pretty dry and hard. I think it is missing a lot of moisture. It was still good, but paired well with a hot beverage such as a latte. I would come here again for sure.

Yelp
We drove to Astoria for dessert after having lunch in the Corktown area. They have a large variety of sweet treats so this was the perfect place for us to have dessert. We had the Michigan cherry chocolate chunk cookie, a strawberry cheesecake ice cream cone, and baklava. All were good choices and we'll be sure to stop by again when we are in the area.

Yelp
This place has a special spot in my heart as a chocolate lover. Chocolate is the answer for many problems, it's also Astoria's answer for almost everything. Chocolate covered, chocolate dipped, chocolate flavored - there's a version of what you want here. I didn't see too many dark chocolate options, so it seems that chocolate covered is the norm here - and it's a bit disengaging if you're not a chocolate person. The s'mores was great. The chocolate cannolis not so much. It was an overload of chocolate. When the shell, filling and sprinkles being chocolate, you'd think that'd be enough. But enough bites off the edge and you'll find a solid pole of chocolate that surprises you as cannolis tend to crumble as you bite. I was offered the second one since my partner was not in the mood to bite off chocolate off her cannoli built around this chocolate pole. The tiramisu cake may have been sitting for awhile so I understand that this is why it was almost over saturated with espresso, making for a liquid filled spoonful with the cake bits. But for the cream to be almost sour or zingy is nearly alarming. As someone who enjoys coffee and espresso more than drinking, I know this wasn't the effect of a strong espresso. Still a great spot for late night bites when the group can't decide, a romantic night cap, or to take out of towners. I'll also always support long standing places in Detroit that deserve the business such as this place.
google avatar

Kori M.

Yelp
Not worth the hype. Service was rude, Tiramisu was super soggy, and carrot cake was dry. Presentations were beautiful but they're only good for pictures. I wouldn't return if it was the last pastry shop on earth!
google avatar

Bob W.

Yelp
Never coming back! Stood at the counter and was ignored. Once I noticed someone being helped that came in after me I spoke up. I have been standing right by the cash register, or there was nobody else in line except me. I have tons of pictures that pop up in my phone from this place. Are used to come here a lot with the family and. I stopped in here today on my own to get a bunch of items to surprise the family, and was ignored, and made felt like a fool . And just before all that, I noticed flies in the display case. So not all of Detroit is changing for the better.
google avatar

Yelp
Had to make a trip to this bakery because it's really good! German chocolate, strawberry torte, chocolate cannoli (not pictured) and chocolate eclair, all good. We got a honey roll (?)--it was rather large with a bit of nuts on top-- complete flavorless. I would pass on that. I make better chocolate chip cookies so I will not be purchasing those again. The place sells ice cream, macaroons, baklava, etc. all really good as I've had them before.
google avatar

Chloe L.

Yelp
Probably famous because it's one of the oldest bakeries... But it's way too sweet for my taste. It has varieties. The servers are sweet and kind.
google avatar

Yelp
We spent over $60 on various small treats for our family at Astoria today. Unfortunately, the items we've tried so far have been a huge disappointment. The cheesecake was less of a dessert cheesecake and more of a mild-flavored semi-sweet and semi-savory cheese. It was also very dry. The key lime cheesecake we tried had a weird mint taste from something it was next to or touching in the case. And the worst thus far is the mini/carrot cakes! There aren't words for how bad these are. Dry and stale, with a tough, chewy styrofoam-like texture (think over-microwaved pizza crust) and lacking in flavor both in the cake and frosting, this one was inedible. We did visit on a Wednesday afternoon. However, it seems like the baked goods and pastries we bought from Astoria were stale and several days old. Not at all worth the money. I am hoping they were just having a bad day or some temporary issues. We will give it another chance in the future.
google avatar

Stacia G.

Yelp
While at Pegasus tavern came here and picked up some items for dessert. Impressive selection and everything looked great in the case. Took home some birds nest and sadly they were a bit mushy. Had some cannoli and they were ok. Had better tasting experience at the Royal oak location.

Yelp
Recent trip here included following purchases: 1. Carrot cake: Too much frosting and the cake itself disappointed me. End up throwing outside to the squirrels. 2. Pecan pie: Love pecan nuts, but it was dry no gooey-ness 3. Lemon poppy pound cake: Good, lemon and poppy met expectations. 4. Pink Sugar cookie and a chocolate coated black and white sugar cookie: both were very large, but also very dry. 5. Lemon bar: lemony and crumbly, wife enjoyed. 7. Lemon cake: too much frosting. In past I stuck with cannoli, should probably stick with the cannoli. Spent about 32 bucks and likely would pass again. Have a box full of pastries with a bite or two taken out of and likely will feed the rest to the squirrels. Overall feel this place has beautiful looking desserts, but I am not smitten. They simply don't taste as I expect. I wish I rather ate some chocolates at Bon Bon Bon or took a trip to a Dearborn Lebanese Bakery.
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
Grew up eating here with my family. Hands down this is one of the best bakeries. I'm half Macedonian and Astoria Pastry offers a wide variety of options to cater to my Macedonian side of the family. Keep in mind that parking is challenging, given that it's in Downtown Detroit. Greektown easily gets hectic during prime time. You'll have to find parking and walk to the pastry shop. Greektown alone is a nice area and there's so much to see.
google avatar

Rachel E.

Yelp
Always delicious desserts! My favorite items would have to be the cannolis and eclairs, SO yummy! However, my last trip I tried the macaroons and carrot cake. So glad I did because they were delicious. The pistachio macaroon was my fav!
google avatar

Thomas G.

Yelp
Probably the worst Tiramisu in my life although the best coffee. Nice spot with tons of heritage but I should have purchased the Baklava as my Tiramisu was watery with not taste of liquor. Place had a constant flow of business.

Yelp
Who knew that downtown Detroit, Michigan has a charming little family owned and operated pastry and coffee shop that specializes in Greek pastries, especially baklava? Well, Astoria Pastry Shop proves that you can go home again no matter where you are. Located on the bustling Monroe Street directly across the street from the Greektown Casino, Astoria Pastry Shop was founded by the Teftis family back in 1971 in the Greektown neighborhood of downtown Detroit and is generally considered the preeminent bakery in the metropolitan Detroit area and definitely the few places to get your sweet tooth cravings satiated when visiting downtown. I didn't even know that Astoria Pastry Shop was located here in the heart of the Motor City, until I just happen to be walking around town after my Sunday dinner and I noticed a plethora of activity happening outside of their storefront and as I peered inside I knew that this place was for me to step through and see what they had to offer! Upon entry, one will see a charming café and bakery reminiscent of the many cafés seen in the heart of New York City with its tiled interior, plenty of café seating, and most importantly case upon case filled with a wide variety of single-serving pastries. Seriously, if you have a craving for a certain pastry, no matter the type or ingredient that one wants specifically with it, then I guarantee you that you will find it here. There was a fairly large crowd inside Astoria Pastry Shop despite the fact that it was Sunday night and we had about an hour remaining until they closed. After looking over all of the remaining pastries they had for sale, I knew I wanted to order two things: one of their signature baklava pastries and a tiramisu, which at Astoria Pastry Shop instead of serving it by the slice, they serve it in a plastic cup in a single serving ready to go. Since there was a line to order my pastry, I got the chance to see all of the other things that Astoria Pastry Shop has to offer and among the other pastries that looked amazing were their cannelloni, slices of cheesecake, macarons, cake pops, cupcakes, crème and mud pie served in aluminum tins, and meringue cookies. But out of the corner of my eye I saw that they were selling Black & White Cookies, and rather large ones at that for a reasonable $3.75, so I was sold. With this cookie, a serving of Tiramisu, which was sold at $5.75 and a chocolate covered Baklava sold at $3.95. My total bill was $14.26, which was fairly reasonable considering I received three large pastries each of which was big enough for me to enjoy as a separate dessert course. Upon my return back to my hotel room, I realized that I ordered a cup of Tiramisu and realized that I forgot to ask for a plastic utensil, so imagine my surprise when I opened my white takeout box neatly tied with a perfect string to see that their helpful crew already put in a plastic fork and spoon in there for me. Now that's service! My cookies were delightful treats, especially their baklava which was an ooey gooey mess of sweetness that weren't overly indulgent, but the real star of my dessert trio was their Tiramisu, which was light and airy without being too sweet. This lovely dessert only made me want to come back for more of their packaged cakes and pastries served in plastic cups. That and the fact they serve both cold and drinks, such as espressos and and frappes, but the fact that they also sell ice cream and smoothies, well the hard working team doesn't need to convince me to come back for second and third helpings. At Astoria Pastry Shop they are a bakery, pastry shop, coffee shop, ice cream shop and smoothie shop, so there's a little something sweet for all who want and need a little sweetness in their lives, who doesn't want to celebrate and support that? After fifty years in business, they certainly know what they are doing and here's to fifty more years of success at Astoria Pastry Shop in downtown Detroit!

Yelp
I always look for a dessert spot when traveling. Typically I stick to donuts, ice cream and cookies but when I saw carrot cake... Well I couldn't resist the temptation. The place is busy... PLEASE be patient with the staff, they are doing a great job. It's hard navigating the sea of customers that seem never ending. But busy is good, busy means delicious and well known! So many different options and in multiple sizes! Key lime cheesecake was , chocolate rice Krispie was simple but delicious, carrot cake was dry... But I was also the most excited for it, so maybe I built up too much of an expectation/maybe the full size slice is more moist. Overall, a great bakery with busy staff, everything seemed fresh

Christi C.

Yelp
I was less than impressed with the customer service! Especially after waiting 30+ minutes in line. My daughter and I were with my grandchildren. We had separate bills and the staff told me that I had to wait in line like everyone else. I explained I had waited, 2 of said staff refused to help me. My daughter insisted the lady helping her fill my order. I was going to just leave my daughter insisted that I place an order. The food was absolutely sublime. I work in customer service and the staff were down right hostile and rude. I felt so degraded I definitely will not return.

Yelp
It was okay. The pastries look better than they taste. They are extremely bland! For the price point, they should have had more flavor for sure.

Yelp
I visited here (Heartbeat of America) in Downtown Detroit a few weeks ago. IT WAS AMAZING! Everything is freshly baked, super delicious, and absolutely scrumptious. They bake every dessert that you would expect to find in an American Bakery and much more! Baklava, Macaroons, Napoleons, Black and White Cookies, Merengues, cakes, pies, pastries, donuts, cronuts (Croissant + Donut), they EVEN HAVE ICE CREAM! If you visit Detroit, YOU HAVE GOT TO COME HERE! You wont be disappointed. It is a non-stop establishment so expect to take a number and peruse the counters while you wait for your turn. Update: Came here again yesterday (3 months later) and brought my family to visit. It was still delicious and well stocked with fresh baked yummy items available. This time we enjoyed more items from brownies, cookies, to cakes & hot cocoa and everything was delicious!

Yelp
A Detroit staple. A Greektown staple. An anytime staple. Love this place. It's sex for your eyes. It's Vegas of desserts. You will leave feeling dirty and satisfied with a huge box for later. I don't spend below $35 when I come here because I need one of everything. Great selection. Amazing coffee. You must try this dessert spot if you're in the area. They're open late! Perfect for after a show or a late dinner!

Yelp
Probably one of the most diverse pastry shops I've been to in a while. They've got everything, and i mean everything! From cookies and brownies, to baklava, tortes, cannolis and more. Very cute exterior located in Greek Town. Inside it can get a little crowded. I went on a Saturday afternoon and they were definitely busy, but their service was really good. The staff was knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. We got a box of different goodies (cake pops, mini carrot cake, mini key lime pie, cannoli, macaroons, baklava) and all of it was delicious! Was a big fan of the cake pops! It is a little pricey but I think it's worth it. They even wrap up your treats in a cute box with a bow! Will definitely be coming back to try some of their other pastries and treats.

Astoria is so great at both locations in detroit and royal oak. The detroit location had more variety. I had an Apple strudel, cheese danish, croissant, cannoli and mini carrot cake. I would highly recommend the danish, strudel and carrot cake. The croissant was all air inside. Staff was friendly and the bakery is so cute inside.

Yelp
The pastry shop was clean, clear, and inviting. The staff members were friendly and welcomed us upon entry, while serving other customers. I took a short left upon entry and was immediately taken in by the triple chocolate cake. Check! It didn't take me 30 seconds. I perused the mass of other pastry delectables and eyed the apple muffin. The staff member said it was the most popular, and her favorite, so it was quickly added to my selections. The cake was quite good. It was not as rich as I thought it would be yet this kept it from being overwhelming. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have yet to eat the muffin but am confident that I will enjoy it heated with some Black tea.

Yelp
Loved this place!! We stopped on Saturday night for some dessert after dinner downtown. The place was packed; make sure you take a number when you get through the door. There were far too many amazing desserts to choose from. We tried the huge meringues, the s'mores bar, and the black and white cookie. My daughter ordered an Italian soda as well. We also bought a tiramisu for my husband as it is his favorite. Everything was delicious and well made. Highly recommend this bakery for a sweet treat while in Detroit.

Yelp
Unbelievably disappointing. I walked into the bakery excited by the wonderful smells and all the tasty looking desserts and pastries. I was devastated to find out that not a single pastry was very free. There were dozens and dozens of pastries there and not one did not contain dairy, to accommodate dietary needs. To make matters worse, the customer service was awful.

Yelp
They have a great selection and I wish I could've gotten more because they all looked delicious. I got a strawberry tarte and the giant strawberries on top were super super fresh and you could tell in the taste.
