Best Restaurants Near Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium | Eater LA

"No matter what kind of meal is required, longtime burger-diner staple Astro Burger has you covered. Service starts at 8 a.m. with heaping servings of bacon and eggs with hotcakes, French toast, and omelettes. Never miss an opportunity to eat a burger, pastrami, or a patty melt, while chicken dinners, fish and chips, quesadillas, and tacos can be a hearty dinner. Astros has a surprisingly expansive plant-based menu. There’s a drive-thru if in a hurry, but it’s always best to settle into the classic diner’s dining room and enjoy while the food is still hot." - Mona Holmes

I had the Pastrami Burger at Astro Burger, but didn’t realize it still comes with a regular burger patty underneath, which made for a weird and heavy combo. The pastrami and burger meat were both super dry, which made the whole thing tough to enjoy. It took a while for the burger to come out even though the kitchen wasn’t busy, and oddly, they gave me my soda right when I ordered, so it was half gone by the time my food arrived. Not the worst place, but definitely not as great as I hoped. Three stars for the friendly staff and decent variety, but overall underwhelming.

Google
We got their BLT, chili fries, and cheeseburger. Food tasted like how they are supposed to taste like. Service was good. Food pricing is decent. It was a clean diner. It was a warm day, and the inside of the diner was super hot.

Google
I love some good charbroiled burger!! This Astro Burger’s offerings are nice, especially their classic cheeseburger. It has your classic American burger taste that is very well-seasoned and grilled. The fries are also great, but in my opinion, these food is a bit more expensive than it should be. But overall, this Astro Burger has some great burgers and everyone should give them a try!

Walk up diner with indoor and covered outdoor seating. Nice and friendly staff. They do have some parking otherwise best is street parking.

Google
I went at lunchtime, and there was plenty of parking and free tables to eat. I ordered a burrito—the price is neither cheap nor expensive, it’s average, and the portion is generous.

Google
I love a good charbroiled burger. I've been eating Asto burgers since 1976. Starting at the Melrose location. And the La Brea spot as well. First time visiting the West LA location, I was not disappointed. In today's economy, I don't mind paying a premium for quality food that's enjoyable, but $12 for a double cheeseburger is expensive.

Google
The food isn't over the top but definitely hit the spot. I was at one of the bars close by and stopped in to grab a quick bite and this place did the job perfectly. Such a cool atmosphere and quick service. I'll definitely come here again. I love the old school diner vibes.

Mucko LA

Google
This is always a great spot with fresh cooked diner food. Fast service with indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are reasonable. The breakfast burrito here is enough for 2 meals unless you are very hungry. No fancy ingredients but tastes great. Only thing is this place does not have any salsa it makes, it's Tapatio or Tabasco only.

Yelp
Legendary. Amazing. Amazing burgers and more. This place is LA icon. Love the atmosphere. If you come to LA. Go to this place. Huge menu.

Yelp
Astro Burger: A No-Frills Classic That Hits the Spot Astro Burger is the kind of place that doesn't try to impress you--it just delivers exactly what you need, especially after a late night in West Hollywood. It's an old-school burger stand with no gimmicks, no fuss, just solid, greasy comfort food. The Bacon Burger? Classic. Nothing revolutionary, but exactly what you'd expect from a spot like this--juicy, salty, and satisfying. The Onion Rings leaned a little too bready for my taste, but they still did the job of adding that necessary crunch to the meal. The vibe is pure nostalgia--like stepping into a time when burger joints were simple, affordable, and reliable. The service is straightforward, the parking is plentiful (a rarity in LA), and the food is exactly what you crave when the night's winding down. Is it the best burger in town? No. But when you need something quick, easy, and greasy to soak up a few drinks, Astro Burger is there for you.

Yelp
Very good burger!!! Almost as good as ones in Texas! The buns are good! These are good old fashioned burgers near Melrose! Staff is friendly! IG friendly type spot. The fries were mid but not bad. Free Parking lot! Outside seating too!

Yelp
Stopped by today, got the pastrami burger with cheese and a house salad. The burger was really good, pretty decent size and everything tasted fresh including the beef, pastrami, and buns. The salad tasted decent, the ranch topping was good quality as well. The restaurant is kept super clean, and there's is plenty of sitting. The staff was friendly and served the food quick.
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
Excellent food here. The atmosphere is that of a 50's Diner with friendly, welcoming and efficient staff. The buns they use give the sandwiches and burgers so much more substance and sit really well with the belly. The mixed juice was refreshing and also feels good while sipping it. Awesome place!
google avatar

Yelp
Driven by this a million times and finally tried it. We got the double cheeseburger with onion rings and everything was truly American style and as expected. It will satisfy your taste buds but make you feel alittle sick like any fast food. Come for the old fashioned diner experience, but personally not to my food standards.

Yelp
Came here the other night for a self date night and honestly it was the worst burger I've ever had. It was extremely well done and the jack cheese I got seemed to curdle like the way Parmesan cheese does towards the end of my eating experience. The only thing that was good here was the fries and ranch. After always wanting to visit it and having an extremely meh experience, I don't think I'd be returning

Yelp
Long overdue but I LOVE astros, simple as that. It gives off 1950's diner vibes with all the props and booths. I know this is a burger joint alongside with their famous pastrami but I always opt for a mexican food here. Don't knock it till you try it! I order their chicken quesadilla which is soooo good, it has loads of cheese, chunks of chicken and avacado, with pico de gallo. It comes with lightly salted grilled jalapeños!! I love to bring friends here who've never been before; my friend chose a burger with onion rings instead of fries!! The onion rings were freshly made bc it was really hot and crispy! It was really delicious and that's coming from somebody who detests onion rings bc I've had really bad experiences before, however astros will be the only place where I know I can enjoy hot and crispy onion rings! Parking is ample here and the staff is great! They take pride in their work and it shows in the taste and presentation of the food. Only downside is that it is west hollywood so you get the occasional bad apples once in a while who wander around and cause havoc, they come inside and disrupt the peace. For example, I had finished eating with my friend but some random patron was going around all the booths asking for money; which there is nothing wrong with that but this person seemed to be on some type of hallucination bc he started yelling at some customers and banging on his head which I thought was scary. After experiencing that I feel that after a certain time women or people in general should be accompanied with at least someone else due to the fact that there's no security on-site and west hollywood can be a bit dangerous... :)

Yelp
For a late night place it's pretty solid in WeHo. They cooked their burgers well and fries came seasoned. Staff were quick and friendly. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Everyone was enjoying themselves.

Yelp
Best Cheese Burgers in town!!They also serve Breakfast and Mexican food!! They have long business hours...

Yelp
Not to be confused with Astro Burgers, Astro Burger is a true LA staple that has been around for decades and has served countless patrons at their three locations; this one in West Hollywood, another in Hollywood directly above Larchmont near the Paramount Studios, and another location over in Montebello. It's a traditional to go burger spot that also has an extensive Mexican menu as well. I know they serve breakfast, but they are most popular for lunch or dinner. This location does not have a drive-through, however, the one on Melrose does. They have a large parking lot attached so parking is extremely convenient and plentiful. It was quite crowded when we placed our Sunday dinner to go order but all the items arrived really quickly and they did not make a single mistake with our order. I ordered the Avocado Burger, which I thought was really great. I especially appreciated how they gave me a whole half of an avocado, and did not skimp on that at all. I think they added too much lettuce, but that's more of my personal opinion. We also ordered a BLTA because it's one of our favorite sandwich orders and it did not disappoint. It comes with a lot of bacon, which was crispy and delicious. We also ordered the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich and it was really good, although I would take off the barbecue sauce. The fries are also really great so I would highly recommend getting them, they are a good mix of crispy and soggy, just needed some extra salt to make them perfect. Overall a really great burger spot that also has countless other options. It's cheap, quick, and good so I would recommend it to anyone.

Yelp
Nice little after hours spot in West Hollywood! Got the double cheeseburger and fries and would rate them a 8/10! Great customer service and would definitely return.

Yelp
Astro Burger is an LA classic. It's great for late night visits or if you're looking for a simple meal. It's got a great retro, no frills vibe though it's not quite a diner since it's not table service--you order at the front and then pickup your food when it's ready. Nevertheless, the staff are always very nice, and I think a meal here is great bang for your buck. Simply put, the burgers and onion rings are fantastic here. I usually get the Frisco Burger, and it always hits the spot when I'm in the mood for a solid burger. The onion rings are also fried perfectly, and I can say the same for their french fries too. There is ample parking and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. Plus there are table-side jukeboxes that are always a fun time. Definitely give Astro Burger a visit!
google avatar

Ken M.

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast with minimal expectations, boy was I wrong. Food was excellent, service was good and staff very nice. It's a fast food feel with full service food. Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Nina N.

Yelp
Bacon cheeseburger was really good, the buns were like better than Hawaiian buns. The onion rings would taste better cooked in tallow, but I like that they provided ranch & bbq I like that even though I placed the order over the phone they made sure to have it piping hot once I arrived Easy parking 10pm Monday and cute young people hanging out
google avatar

Zion M.

Yelp
The food was very flavorful and plenty for the price. The cashiers were polite, and the old diner setting added to experience well.
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
It's perfect late night food. It has a great retro, classic American diner vibe (though ordering at the front might not make it a real diner?) full with a jukebox. There's outdoor and indoor seating options. The folks at the front taking your order are nice and the food comes out pretty quickly. I ordered the chili burger and the chili was much runnier than I expected but still pretty good. If I came here again, I would probably go for something else because the chili was pretty overpowering. There was still a hamburger patty but I didn't taste much of it. If you love chili, go for it - but next time I'm here, I would opt for something else.

Yelp
Loved this place. It's such a good retro feel inside. The food is pretty dinner like and super delicious!!!!!!

Yelp
I've been here , it's a diner , you get what sounds good. You sit down, you eat. You get on with your day. The burgers are regular, the salad is from a bag , the chicken is cooked well it's not stealing any thunder. This is what I'm looking for in a diner. You're not trying to make waves, out here you wanna feed people and get them on with there day. The onion rings stick out to me here, I couldn't just eat those an be satisfied ,no main entree . I couldn't see myself here longer than 40mins but the place is orderly, the bathrooms are small but clean, the staff calm but hard working. Know what you want when you step up to the plate. I like it here, I'll be returning again and again.

Keagan L.

Yelp
I go here instead of Burger King or any fast food burger place. The prices are good, the quality is good and the flavor is good. It's a no fuss no frills burger joint

Yelp
Haven't reviewed this in eighteen YEARS? My goodness. My last visit was during the pandemic in 2020. Let's start with that I love Astro Burger. I always get the same thing - bacon cheeseburger, everything on it, and zucchini fries. So, I had an appointment nearby, so, after I finished I went directly to Astro Burger, arriving at 12:20. No one in line, but all booths taken. Thankfully, one opened up just before my number was called and I snagged it. I ordered my usual. Let me preface the next paragraph by saying I have never ever not loved my bacon cheeseburger. Always fresh, always perfect. Today was a first and I probably should have had them make it over. There was so little sauce on it that there may as well have been none. But I got extra sauce, so problem solved. Not solved was no onions at all. Also not solved, the turning brown wilted lettuce. That's why I should have sent it back. I have never had anything here that wasn't 100% fresh. This surprised me and not in a good way. It wasn't brown brown and it wasn't fully wilted, but it certainly was getting there and that is not fresh. The burger itself was fresh as can be. Despite all that, I still enjoyed the burger, but I hope they address this issue and I hope it was just an anomaly. Zucchini fries were perfect. To wrap this up, I have been watching a bunch of young idiots on YouTube doing food review videos - you know, eating in cars, going to various types of restaurants and telling everyone what the best this is and the best that is. These kiddies wouldn't know best from a hole in the ground. I have watched a ton of five best or ten best burgers in LA - they're so busy with the smash burger crap and don't really understand what a real burger is. And when they actually go to a real burger place they go because they saw it in another idiotic video. And they make a lot of money doing this - this is what the world has become. My POINT is - not ONE of these nitwits has gone to the WeHo Astro Burger and shame on them for not even trying it. Anyone who knows anything about burgers knows what Astro Burger is. It should always be in the top ten. Period. But, the downside of them going there and praising it is that we wouldn't be able to get in. :) Please fix the lettuce and no onions issue.

Mich W.

Yelp
Came here for a quick lunch from a local friends recommendation and it was delicious! Classic old diner vibes with quick service food. Opted for a BLT which had the perfect ratio of ingredients and tasted so fresh overall, and the side of onion rings were lightly battered and clearly fresh! Would definitely come back for a quick bite
google avatar

Denisse M.

Yelp
I called to go and definitely efficiently and fast I'm very informative of questions. I was asking about the tacos and the guy that was helping me at the counter was just so friendly and nice always. Always nice clean and tidy I love this place . Staff is always upbeat and keeping this place. Nice and tidy definitely makes it a very warm, welcoming to customers which I am one of the happiest regulars here in and out where In-N-Out Who when I got this place.

Yelp
Service was ok people who work there are great , but there's no combos. And watch out for them broken juke boxes sitting on the table because they rob u for a quarter at a time, mind u it's only a quarter but them quarters add up real fast.

Yelp
Haven't been in years and hubby decided to come in so glad we did loved it!!! Everything was perfect and the staff was super friendly!!!

Yelp
Ordered a strawberry and chocolate shake, and was given a vanilla and chocolate shake. Lady was nasty and said I said one thing when I know what I ordered. She was cleaning and doing other things while taking my order but refuse to take blame for her mistake. Horrible service
google avatar

Yelp
Old school. A complete throwback. A blast from the past. Parking. Safe. . Secure. Clean bathroom. Nice people. Booths. Counter tops. Juke boxes. Patty melts. Onion rings. Milk shakes. Breakfast. It's a real deal greasy spoon, but in all seriousness it's the most professionally run establishment I've been in in modern memory. I cannot eat that food often, but it's great and I always leave happy. An awesome tuna melt. Toasted Sourdough. Then grilled. The tuna is delicious. The tuna melt, with fries, with an apple juice was 20 bucks.
google avatar

TY Z.

Yelp
Amazing burger! Soft bun and juicy patty. The fried zucchini is mid, but I really really love their burger.

Yelp
TALK ABOUT A GEM LITTLE SPOT IN WEHO. This is a top notch dinner/burger joint with a wide variety on their menu and I am so happy I found this spot. My girlfriend and I decided to split our food since we both wanted the pastrami sandiwch and the bacon avacado cheese burger and it was the best decision of our day. Both sandwiches, a small fry and large soda ran us $35 and for the quality in WEHO, thats a low price. Considering the place was busy on a Sunday evening. The Food was out in 10 minutes and loved how quick the service was. The pastrami sandwich was PACKED. The meat itself wasn't fatty and had so much good flavor! Loved the toasted bun and pickles. A solid 10 out of 10 for this sandwich. The bacon avacado cheeseburger was so damn good. Cooked to perfectection and the ingredients on the burger were of quality. This burger I would easily rate a 9.5 out of 10. If you haven't tried this place you must! Menu is extensive and they also service mexican food. Make sure you check them out. You won't regret it.

Lorelei S.

Yelp
YUM. The pastrami sandwich is absolutely delectable, as advertised. I won't be able to bring myself to order anything else here, it's just so incredibly yummy. I can't wait to make it down there again for another late night sandwich. Also it's close to the best weekend people-watching in LA--the later the better.
google avatar

Paul G.

Yelp
Prices went up and portion sizes shrank. We will only visit once in a blue moon when we want burgers but aren't that hungry. What a shame. We really loved this place! Food is still good. Just too pricey now!
google avatar

Julie G.

Yelp
Great for local diner food! Love their breakfast, BLT and burritos. They now take cards, so that makes it much easier to grab a bite from here.
google avatar

Jonnita W.

Yelp
This is a pretty cool spot to visit while we were in the Los Angeles area. The menu was pretty convenient for the simple fact that you could have breakfast lunch or dinner at this restaurant. They also offer outside seating or indoors. They seemed pretty well staffed on the inside, which allowed for our food order to be placed and complete in a timely manner. There were a few other restaurants around this location that serve breakfast as well as this was the time that we were dying to hear a competition around. But all in all an old fashion, hype, diner, with the little jukebox, is at the table And some freshly squeezed orange tea you can have with your meal. It's not like you can almost have any of your sweet cream taking care of by 90 years. Call the club to check out if you're ever in the area.
google avatar

Heather A.

Yelp
Food was good. Super trendy located in West Hollywood. Staff was inquisitive and thorough when ordering.

Oleksandr K.

Yelp
I came here to get myself breakfast. I was polite and smiled. I ordered the "I N.Y. Steak" breakfast, and the cashier named Mary asked how I wanted my eggs cooked. When I asked what my options were, she replied, "I don't know, you're ordering, how do you want them?" I said, "I understand, but what options do you offer?" She rolled her eyes and said, "Oh my god..." and then started listing the options. She seemed so displeased the whole time, as if it was my fault she was working there. This is the first time in the US I've encountered such service where I feel guilty for even asking a question. The place itself is clean and comfortable, the food and prices are decent, but when you enter a place feeling happy and leave writing a comment like this, something is clearly wrong with this establishment. The order was placed on 06/26/24 at 8:38 AM.
google avatar

Quandrell H.

Yelp
Pretty loud, good place to visit after going out, the burger looks like it isn't in the best shape but the flavor was definitely there, Definitely needs a but more sauce though, The service was pretty fast, can't complain about that at all!
google avatar

Young H.

Yelp
Food here TASTE LIKE BUTT....... Don't recommend this place and it's overpriced for what you are getting. McDonald's is better than this place

Barbara G.

Yelp
Solid burger joint, had been wanting to try it, finally got the opportunity. It was on the pricier side but it was good
google avatar

Susan L.

Yelp
I and a friend were visiting from Las Vegas. We had lunch and then breakfast. Friendly and efficient staff. Good quality food for the price. I really enjoyed the salmon patty dinner. My friend liked his burger and onion rings. Breakfast was super. A great way to start the day and so much better in value than the expensive hotel we were staying at. (good coffee! and fresh squeezed OJ! ) We were so glad to find this vintage place with such a great menu and enjoyable atmosphere.
google avatar

Jane A.

Yelp
First time here. The restaurant is cozy and clean. We had bacon cheese burgers, chili cheese fries and fried zucchini. Everything was delicious. I highly recommend and will come back again.

Robyn W.

Yelp
One of the best burgers in L.A. ! I usually go to the one on Santa Monica Blvd., but the one on Melrose is drive thru! In addition to the most delicious burger, they have an enormous menu, featuring all sorts of great items, including a Greek Avgolemono soup! Give it a try!
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
Old school is so good. It's such a cute little diner where you can put in a quarter and play music! I'm also obsessed with their fries.

Francia P.

Yelp
Alex and the team at Benny's were so nice, and the food is the bonus. The Tacos were fire. Everything made fresh to serve. We had a steak taco and a rotisserie chicken taco. They had amazing toppings, perfectly selected for the seasonings that they used and the bonus was the handmade tortillas. An incredible experience. We will definitely be back to dine again.
google avatar

Maya L.

Yelp
Service is ALWAYS prompt, efficient and customer-friendly, but the prices and the taste (my favorite is their chili burger & chili fries) just can't be beat!! It also helps that you can sit and enjoy a meal in a spotlessly clean and back-to-the-50's interior-smiles.

Roxanne O.

Yelp
The food was horrible! A cashier clerk# 1 only one cashier there that evening and she was very rude I bought a fish sandwich I was with my friends and the fish was bad it was old it had a smell to it and I went to ask if I could exchange it for something else and the cashier it was a lady I asked her name she wouldn't give it she would not let me change my food or get my money back bad work ethics my friend tried the fish he went up there and tried to talk to her she would not budge bad business!

Yelp
***My rating system*** I rate in comparison to others in a business's peer group. For me, Astro Burger is that greasy spoon that is far above fast food and not high end burger. So in that middle space this is a five all day long. This menu is big, real big. But it's called Astro Burger so I came here for burgers and fries. And I was not disappointed. I live in the neighborhood and I've been looking for a great burger and fries that wasn't fast food and wasn't high end. This place delivered. Ordered a double bacon cheeseburger, large fries, and a Coke. The ingredients were top notch, you can tell that right off the bat. The most important part of course is the beef itself. Perfect medium rare and nice crisp on the outside. Also seasoned exactly how it should be. The fries were crispy, hot and plentiful. The whole thing cost about $20.00. And that price seems fair considering the quality, quantity, and location. I don't mind paying, but what am I paying up for. This is in stark comparison to my review of Burger She Wrote which wasn't worth the $20 I paid there. As far as the service, it was five stars. The staff was courteous, the place was clean, and my order was processed efficiently and quickly. Can't asked for much more than that. I can't speak to the rest of the menu but my experience with the burger and fries was enough to want to come back again and again. Great food, great value, great flavor, great service, great location.
google avatar

Glen M.

Yelp
The food is delicious, the service is great and fast! Also, the restaurant and restrooms are always clean! I am never disappointed when I visit Astro!
google avatar

Dylan M.

Yelp
Better than I thought! The inside is pretty gross, but what else would you expect from a fast food chain. However, on a nice summer night, the outdoor seating is the perfect vibe. Astro Burger runs a pretty penny for its menu. Nothing here should be more expensive than $10. But the quality is fair - right up there with an In n out or Habit burger in my opinion. I went with the double burger. It tasted good! The taco, better skip that one. Dry, flavorless, and a waste of your money. An LA icon. Astro Burger is fitting for any occasion throughout the day. And my first time was the perfect setting.

Yelp
Best Chicken Club sandwich ever! Im so glad Cal Chic cafe was not open yet even though it was closer.
