Astro Burgers

Food is the best... best burgers in the west. Been coming here since the 80's when I was a kid. However, recently had a terrible experience with the cashier, skinny guy with a goatee. He had a serious attitude. I tried to be cordial but the guy was too much. Ended up just leaving instead. I should also mention I had a run in with the exact same guy a few months prior.

We went through the drive thru and ordered two taquitos and 1 beef and cheese burrito. The window clerk didn't confirm our order or tell us the total before we drove up to pay. When we got home instead of a beef and cheese burrito we received a bean and cheese burrito without any meat. One of the taquitos was beef and the other one was chicken. Taquitos are normally all beef. Not what we were expecting for either the burrito or taquitos. We have been going to Astro Burgers for over 40 years. Unfortunately we won't be returning due to the lack of service and incorrect order.

This place is classic, it was in a Winona Ryder movie. Haven’t tried it yet but cmon it’s been around more than 30 years! It’s got that familiar flavor I’m sure of it :)

While I was stationed at the National Guard Armory around the corner 30+ years ago, Astroburger was a regular stop. The tuna melt was my favorite. This was back in the nineties, and we determined that if riots came to Inglewood, we would designate one infantry squad to protect Astroburger. The chicken burrito could feed a family of four for two days...

Burgers are pretty good, standard charbroiled patties, got a double burger because the patty was a bit to thing for just 1. Fries and drinks are sold separately, no combos, at least fries are a large bag and a good amount. Not worth 16$ in total though. I didn't like customer service tho, my buddy got a burguer by itself and asked for salsa and the cook answered quite rudely "what did you get? What did you order? What did you order?" Too see weather or not charge a small cup of salsa lol. All in all will not be returning simply because of CS.

Bacon cheese burger excellent. Loved the zucchini fries. Plenty of free parking.

Honestly the service is bad, the food isn’t great. Ordered a club CHICKEN sandwich. I get ham instead…. Like how? Say whatever you want , the pictures won’t let me lie. That’s ham. Not chicken. I called and asked if I can get a credit cuz I was at work to the point I sat down to eat my order. Said yeah & gave me a weird made up name. Im not dumb. Then yet again whatever but pay $21 for a small chili cheese fries & a small sandwich?!! I want my money back 😩😩😩

Chili cheese fries were super greasy. The burgers were way over priced. The salad that comes inside the chicken dinner was not packed separately, and it got all soggy with the steam of the hot food by the time we got home to eat it. Drive thru took a long time and the regular french fries were not seasoned. Will not be coming back again.

I can't say enough about Astro Burger, La Brea. Great charbroiled burgers, with awesome french fries and shakes. Loving pancakes, bacon and eggs, it's also our go to place for breakfast! The service is great every time, and Maria C. always makes sure our orders are just the way we like them! I highly recommend you check them out!

Stay far away from this place. They are robbing people blind. $60+ for two food combos and two kids meals is highway robbery. They're better places that are far more cost effective like storm burger, master burger and tams.

I got me a cheeseburger. It was OK nothing out of this world there's no combos they sell everything individually. Large fries, You can share with two people maybe three. The cheeseburger and an order of fries and a large Coke. I think it was around 15 bucks.

I hadn't been here for years. Came today because my brother wanted some. And they still have an attitude. New lady same type of attitude.

Stopped in here before the Mary J. Bilge show at the Intuit Dome last night. Service was good. The staff was really nice to me and my sister and went above and beyond for us. We each got a cheeseburger and split fries. It was very filling to the point I only ate half. Astro is a good neighborhood spot and I like supporting the independent businesses in my community.

Each of these spots have their own peesonalty but you can count on grwat burgees,zuccinci fries and great service

I just ate there today The food was disgusting The Sprite didn't taste like Sprite Taste nasty The fries were dirty grease fries And on top of that They can't even get the order, right.

First time trying Astro burgers! It was really yummy! Affordable as well! They give you A LOT of fries. Went during lunch and timing was good. I believe you can call ahead if you want. Either way drive thru was fast and fresh! Def will be coming back, their staff was also very friendly and helpful! Their menu has a variety of options from salads to sandwiches to burgers and chilli cheese fries!

This place is good but they randomly close early when they don't feel like working. It's 8:53 and they're closed. It says until 10pm. Is the manager asleep at the wheel?

Last time I was here the food was terrible, the quality has gone downhill, the meat is either chewy or flavorless or extremely salty, will not return.

8 dollars for a grease bucket of chili that taste like it came straight out of a can . This taste like slop that should have been fed to pigs . I hate to be that guy but this was despicable

#1- They continuously don't abide by their own hours of operation. They will just pack up and go home at random times each day. Meanwhile, they don't turn off the "Open" light in the drive thru, leaving YOU looking stupid in the car talking to the speaker.

I like the burgers from here but damn does the customer service kind of suck. The unnecessary rudeness is uncalled for.

A friend and I went in to have lunch, could barely breathe from all the smoke in there. Barely any ventilation going on, the drink dispensary had mold on it, the cashier woman mixed up our orders, and charged my friend extra on her Cheeseburger. She paid $16+ for it, while I only paid less than $14 for my order. Then when I ordered a meal for a nearby friend (2 burgers & fries) the total was on $20. They definitely overpriced her. The fries were bland. Needed salt and pepper for sure. Burger itself with their sauce is good.

It's been a while since I ordered food from this place. I called around 11:45am to place and order. The man who answered the phone was very rude. I repeated my order twice. When my coworker went to pick up the order , the same man was rude to her. Plus, they forgot one of the items. The food was not great . The Carne was all hard and tough. We order chillis cheese fries, cheese was not even melted. Fries were too salty. Would never order from this place again. The man needs to work on his customer service.

I didn't even get to try the food! I went in with my wife and daughter and we were waiting at the counter for 5 minutes by the time the man with thin beard and mustache came he asked me what do you want he seemed irritated i asked if he had a three meat omelette he said no only one meat per omelette i said okay give me a ham omelette and can I substitute the potatoes for veggies or something else he looked at me and said NO can you hurry up breakfast is almost over (like mad) I asked him what was up with his attitude and he just walked away.. I really wanted to try this place and with service like this I wont ever come back no wonder it was empty only ppl in the drive through who dont put up with this guys attitude

the chili was so cold it wouldn't melt when i put it in the microwave. Also tasted so bad wish i never spent money on that place. Also bad customer service. Dont ever go their again. Inglewood please shut this place down.

They made me a pastrami burrito that was so stuffed that the tortilla barely covered it. it was messy it was fresh and it was great.

This review is going to be a little bit different because I actually didn't go to the restaurant, I ordered it on Grubhub. In terms of food, I got the double bacon cheeseburger and some fries. I thought the burger was really delicious, I have no complaints. The fries were good too, nothing too special, but they were good. I would say that they have good service because in my order, I requested that they put no pickles on the burger. When they delivered my food and when I checked my burger, there wasn't any pickles. I'm extremely glad that they paid attention to detail. I had a pretty good experience overall. I'll give them a 5 star: for the great food and the service.

We showed up an hour and half before closing's to eat inside to be greated with a rude worker saying they were closed and we could only order through the drive thru and we went to the intercom the same worker was extremely rude when taking our order and wouldn't awnser simple questions and continuously saying anything else anything else over and over they were so rude we just decided to not waste our money there. If your thinking of coming here don't waste ur breath just go down the street to storm burger better quality food by the looks of the other reviews and hell of a lot better service

Get your pastrami grilled with Onions mmmm mmmm good.. Service is always A1 all around from phone orders drive thru or walking in. I've never had a bad experience with anything I've ordered.

Worst onion rings of my LIFE. DISGUSTING and unsalted. Chili cheese fries were super bland and undesirable. Burger was whatever, overpriced. The service was cool, everything you'd expect it to be. The ambiance was honestly awful too. No theme, and photos of the food weren't anything like what they actually served.

This place is overpriced and their number does not work when you call. I had to search google several times for a phone number. When I found one, it happened to be grub hub. The person who answered didnt tell me they were grub hub, they stated they were astro burgers. I put in my order which was 2 grilled cheese and fries. Do you know it came up to $19! The lady at the front, who spoke broken English told me it is high because i ordered it online. I didnt order it online, I ordered it from the number on google that worked! Im not ever going back. They are too high and cant keep up with their contact information properly

Burnt, extremely tiny patties. Annoying drive thru. Fries costed me like 5 dollars. No seasoning salt on said fries. First time in my life I've ever eaten a burnt burger.

I would post the food but the worker hung up on us while placing our order. customer service is horrible 10/10 would NOT recommend. What kind of worker gets an attitude and hangs up on a customer after they make an inquiry about combo specials. So yea I recommend spending your money at a different establishment.

Turkey Burgers are Fire here. I had not been to Astro Burgers in so long . Nice place we had lunch at and it was really a good feeling. Turkey Burgers are good and all. They have other selections of hamburgers to try. Fries are good and customer service was ok. You will have to try them for yourself.

Terrible service!! The cook, prepared our avocado burger incorrectly after repeatedly making sure that there was no tomato on the burger. He neglected to read the instructions on the order and put tomato on the burger. He seemed to have an attitude when we went up to the counter to pick up our food and saw there was tomato in the burger like if we had done something wrong. Staff never apologized or asked if we wanted a replacement we had to take out the tomato from the burger and hand it to the lady at the cashier on the napkin. Unfortunately, this business does not check the reviews, but hopefully other customers will check them and not go there again. Besides their prices are exuberantly high, not worth your money for what you get specially the type of service. Never going here again hopefully this gets looked at by the owner or staff, and does something about that men's attitude.

This town is obsessed with Chili! I love it! I had a burger and the loaded chili cheese fries. Great greasy hangover-curing food. I usually go to In N out or Tommy's but had to finally try Astro's for the retro theme and the dog with the same name in the Jetsons! Great chili cheese fries. Good burger. Quick service. Everything you would expect here. Fun place to try.

Good food, especially their breakfast burritos. Their fries are always HOT and crispy. The service is sweet! I love the ladies working there, they're always so sweet :) Their burgers are so good too!

Staff doesn't adhere to the hours of operation that they advertise. Many times I have gone there 30 minutes before closing and the place was completely dark.

I was working in the area,, I stopped in for a burger until I seen that the meat Patties were preheated and sitting in a pan next to the grill.. I ordered a chicken salad in hopes of getting something decent.. The chicken salad is a hot mess... they cook the chicken and put it on top of the cold iceberg lettuce and melt cheese on top.... Wilted warm quesadilla salad .. I was disappointed to say the least... the place is filthy.. when I walked out to my truck I got to see their bread delivery truck.. it was 90 degrees out and the bread was being delivered in the back of a truck with a car jack and other dirty things in the bed of truck.I had to take a picture..

I went there today for a French toast. Breakfast had a piece of hair in my food. Please do not go to this place. Nasty

Spent 28$ and some change for 2 ham and egg with bacon and cheese will never go there again

It's a solid 3.5, but I'll give 4 stars. I bought 2 double cheeseburgers for 5.99, which is a great deal and permanent special. I also picked up some onion rings for 5.85. The burgers were heafty and flavorful. They were squished flat in my bag. The meat was juicy and cheese melted. Could have used some tomato. I would definitely get them again at that price. The onion rings were just ok. They were large cut and the order was decent sized. The issue I have with them is that the texture was bready and not really crisp, even though they were tempora style. They also desperately needed salt after they came out of the fryer, but sadly they were bland. Ketchup was given on the side. However, I don't think it was truly ketchup. It had sweet spices added and there was a slight texture. I think it was chili sauce. Odd and unique choice. I'll be back

The breakfast burritos are good all other food is trash, the customer service from a cashier was trash.

This is literally how they gave me the chili cheese fries. It looks half eaten, and why is there a fork in it? It tastes disgusting too. I took a fry and immediately spit it out. This is the worst thing I've ever had the displeasure of putting on my mouth. Zero stars. Do not go here.

If I want chili-cheese fries, I go here. I've had better but this place is close and it's good (to me). I'll also get a Double-Double because those are really good (to me). The drive through can be a little slow. For faster service, go inside. At least once a month I'm here. Tasty!

This place seems pretty popular, there's always cars in the drive thru so I gave it a try. These chicken tenders are dry af but the fries were somewhat okay.

I had one of the best bacon avocado cheese burgers in a while fresh, and bacon was super crispy. The food is cooked to order and so delicious. Try you will not be disappointed.

Good Food makes up for the bad service. There hasnt been a day when i come in and old man with glasses always has an attitude. He gets mad when people walk in. Dont like your job compa, than quit

I been coming here for years and I must say every time I get food I walked out with a smile, it's good. Affordable and there fast which is a plus for me.

Nice and inexpensive place they have a variety of things on the menu and the breakfast is pretty good too I don't like that they charge you for using your cc but that's pretty much the norm these days

Loveeeeeeee this place. And I'm happy this breakfast burrito didn't let me down. I mean, all burger stands should have fire breakfast burritos right? This was good, I think bout $10, little pricey, but it's okay. I'll be by on another day to get the same thang!

Been wanting to try this place for awhile since I was told it's the neighborhood burger place, and I finally did and enjoyed it. I got the avocado burger and it was pretty big and filling. It tasted like my local diners bigger (which I love) so I was happy. I also got the chili cheese fries and I didn't like those. Fries were really good but the meat looked questionable. I wouldn't order that again. Overall I'd come back for the burgers. Free parking lot located on the property Clean restrooms

I haven't had Astro burgers in years. Finding out they had veggie burgers was great! That burger makes me feel good! I just transitioned go vegan so it helped at work Friday because I couldn't find anything close and vegan friendly. Who would've thought a childhood classic would be the one lol!

Horrible customer service I called because they forgot my avocado being very nice I asked for a refund on the avocado not even the burger and was hung up on. Don't go here the food is trash any way they need better service!!

Astro burgers have a good taste the meat is cooked well plus all the fixing are there as far as lettice, tomato's. pickles. male, and a seamisead bun. My only gripe here is that I think the bun needs to be changed or upgraded to enhance the taste or maybe the meat needs to be like a 70/30 or 80/20 anyway I digress to some extent but getting to my point is that Astro Burgers is like family here so what it takes to see them preval even if they have to change a bun I will support them. The reason why I give five stars is because its simple with great greasy taste when it comes to the chilli cheese pastrami burrito. I really wish I had one now.

"Anything else ?" Thats what they say over the mic per item when ordering in the drive thru. It can get annoying because I barely just got in a drink order and then it's "Anything else?" After the order of fries "Anything else ?" Place is good spot and all but Astro has got to fix that habit and let me order my full order before being interrupted with "Anything else?" Also fix the speaker .. I'm sure they make hella money to afford a new speaker to fully understand before assuming they are saying "Anything else!?"
