This review is after my 3rd time eating here just to be sure that it’s really as great as I initially thought. It is. This place is a hidden gem, with old school luxurious table service that I haven’t experienced in years. Our first time was an intimate dinner for two, second time with family and even our pup seated outside, third with out-of-town friends. It’s such a nicely decorated and comfortable place. We once walked in pretty close to closing time and still felt so welcomed. Our dog was quickly served a bowl of water. The hospitality is unmatched. Unlike a lot of places it’s quiet enough to have a nice convo. They have special features and a diverse menu. Everything we’ve had so far has been beautifully plated and delicious. They will even box your leftovers and write the date and item on top. No details are missed here and yet it’s very affordable.

The food was good. The bread pudding was my favorite! It's delicious and very flavorful! I ordered a cobb salad. I added salmon. I also ordered the jambalaya. The salad was delicious and the salmon was too. The jambalaya was a little dry but still tasty. I ordered take out and they were very welcoming when I arrived. My order was ready too. It's really nice inside. Although I didn't dine in I saw enough to admire the decor! I spent $62 for everything. That's a tad pricey but the portions are a good size. I will try it again. I'll try dining in next time.

Google
Valentine Day dinner was amazing. They offered a special menu that included a charcuterie board and wine, an amazing dinner and more wine, and a beautiful Tres Leches cake with strawberry and a desert wine to finish off the night. Beautiful atmosphere, top notch food and service. Definitely a little secret tucked away in the corner we will most certainly enjoy again in the future. Stop in the bar for a nightcap. Dress up for this place. You’ll enjoy it!

We have been to Elm Street Grill several times and have always had an amazing experience. The food is so delicious with so many options and flavor profiles. You can't go wrong! The service is impeccable. They actually care about their patrons and create an exceptional dining experience. We highly recommend elm street grill!

Google
hidden treasure! This place is excellent! It was all to us as my dad and I sat outside on their spotlessly clean and covered patio! The food is served quickly and is excellent. It's quite pleasant and demonstrates that the owner genuinely cares about his patrons and their experiences when he stops by to greet them and check in at each table. Given their reasonably high costs, it's fortunate that the portions are substantial. The server informed me that the owner felt the salmon was too tiny, so while it was certainly not a small piece, it was really considerate of him to bring out a second piece.

We had a lovely experience at this restaurant. The food was so very fresh and carefully prepared! They adjusted a meal to meet the needs of some dietary restrictions without hesitation. The staff was especially attentive. The prices were fair for the quality of the food and the manner in which it was prepared and presented.

Google
hidden gem! This place is so good! My parents and I sat outside on their (very clean and shaded) patio and had it all to our selves! Food is very good and comes out quick. The owner comes over to say hello and check-in to every table which is very nice and shows that he truly cares about his customers and their experiences. The portion sizes are large which is nice due to their decently high prices. I got the salmon and was actually brought out a second piece as the waiter said the owner thought the piece was too small (it was definitely not a small piece but very respectful of him)

Google
The atmosphere is very nice. The waitress and hostess were very nice! However, I had placed an online order. I placed it at 5:30 pm stating that I would pick it up at 6:30 pm. I arrived at 6:31. It wasn't ready, and the owner said that I'd never placed the order. I showed them where the money had been deducted from my account. The order was finally made, and I received it at 7 pm - 1.5 hours after it was placed. The hostess and waitress were so nice, but I didn't get a water while I waited or even free bread. Also, the grits with the shrimp and grits were runny. I've eaten there before, so I'm hoping that the bad weather made this an off night and an isolated incident.

Yelp
Saturday night date night this past weekend was a vibe At Elm St Grill. This is a hidden gem that iI don't hear enough people talking about. We were looking for a new experience and I remembered saving this place a while ago. I was able to make a quick reservation for 6:30pm. When we arrived we were seated promptly and the servers were so nice and accommodating. For a Saturday night they weren't very busy. We likely would have been seated right away even if we didn't have reservations. The atmosphere was so nice. Perfect for a date night but also fine for friends and family. The lighting was low and the music selection was on point. I was grooving the whole time I was there. We ordered drinks and they came promptly. Our food followed shortly after. I ordered the Italian chicken Marsala and my husband ordered the wrangler chicken. Both were excellent. Chicken was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. There was no need to add anything like salt, pepper or sauces. It was perfect. We didn't save room for dessert but we will definitely return to try more menu items. There are so many choices on their rather eclectic menu. I'm sure anyone will be able to find something they like. I c an't wait to try more. Wonderful experience! Keep up the good work At Elm St Grill. I'll be back.

Yelp
An interesting experience! We order two appetizers and they were both delicious. Our party of 3 ordered our entrees at the same time. For some reason 2 came out and the third came out about 5 minutes later. No mention on the reason for the delay, but my meal was not to temp by the time the third one arrived. The space feels a bit crowded and the booths are short in length. It's hard to find the bathroom without wandering around. Overall, it was enjoyable and I'd eat here again! ***edit based on response receive - my dish came out the first round but since we didn't know the delay time or anything else other than "right out" on the third dish, we waited to eat for 5 minutes and that's why my food wasn't to temp; as for the bathrooms, it's hard to ask for directions when your server hasn't been by your table in awhile and everyone else is walking quickly, with their hands full, or not making eye contact. Business owners should apologize for short comings, not make excuses or advise why the customer was inadequate.***

Yelp
M&M - we were visiting from Alabama heading to the University of Virginia for a granddaughters graduation. We looked at ratings of Greensboro restaurants and this one had a top rating and was only about 15 minutes from where we were staying. This tucked away gem of a fine dining experience was well worth the search. The interior was exemplary with a wonderful choice of background music. We had a friendly greeting and were quickly seated. Our service was provided by the husband of the owner who told us he worked for his wife - with a smile! The chili cauliflower appetizer looked interesting and sounded delicious. We enjoyed the superb light batter and chili sauce which was exactly the spice level we were looking for. I told him we would be having cauliflower coming out of our garden in Alabama soon and hopefully we can come close to enjoying the same taste the Elm Street Grill has perfected. This is a highly recommended appetizer! We continued with the catch of the day which was well seasoned (blackened) very large piece of Mahi Mahi on a bed of steamed rice with charred corn, pepper and bean medley that was super delicious. The rice was a superb texture that was not mushy which we've had at other places. This was a very tasty dish! May your family enjoy a blessed business.

Yelp
Never had a bad meal here. Everything is good! Also had a fairly recent renovation and was updated compared to my last visit. Love the variety of options. They have a little of everything so everyone should be able to find something they want to eat. Most dishes are classics and they do a fabulous job executing. Great service as always!

Yelp
I love Elm Street Grill. The owners are so kind, the staff is great, the restaurant is so nice and the food is amazing. The quarterly wine dinners are so much fun. The wine pairings are absolutely amazing. It's great to experience different wines and try new dishes. It is truly an experience. I can't wait for the next one in November!

Yelp
This deserves ZERO STARS. Upon arrival the restaurant looked nice. Appears they had a speed dating set up though with tables smashed side by side. . We were seated in a half empty restaurant upon our reservation time and looked at the empty booths we were surrounded by and my partner asked the hostess if we could please have a booth. I have a medical condition which makes it difficult for me to sit in hard wooden chairs. We were told "sorry, we are seating in order of reservations" and she walked off. We looked at each other confused as this made no sense. We went ahead and sat down. We were greeted by our server who asked for the name the reservation was under and confirmed our dinner choices. We were then given what was considered a cheese board? We looked at one another confused. The board had 4 grapes, three slices of what looked EXACTLY like store bought Cheesecake Factory brown bread with the oats on top, ONE triscuit, a small thumb of orange marmalade, 2 small thumb size cheese squares, a smear of two soft goat cheese, and 2 slices of another cheese, one orange slice. What exactly were we supposed to eat the cheese on? It was the WEIRDEST attempt at a cheese board we've ever seen. An Aldi version if that. Concerned this was how we were starting the meal they were charging $75 per person for.. it was too late to turn back. It was served with a swallow of a white wine blend that was decent. Tables started being sat next to and around us while we talked and drank our waters. We then started seeing dinner plates being brought out to the tables on the left of us... then the tables on the right. Then the tables behind us... we continued to watch the people around us eat while we watched our server take them more food, refill their drinks, bring them wine, and we continued to wait. 30 minutes passed and we still had no food and everyone around us was getting their empty dinner plates taken away. I stopped the runner delivering dessert now next to us, and mind you, the tables were 18" from one another in a row in the center of the room. Not far where we could easily have been forgotten. I let her know we were there before every table around us they were now serving dessert to and we still had no dinner. A few minutes later our entrees came out. 43 minutes after ordering. 43 minutes. While everyone else with the 8pm reservation was being served dessert. My chicken was good, but the mashed potatoes tasted like Idahoan box potatoes. Zero fluff, zero flavor. Awful. So bad I didn't eat them. The shrimp and andouille sausage with polenta meal: sausage was delicious but not because it was seasoned well, just because the ingredients of the actual sausage had flavor. The shrimp was unseasoned and flavorless. The cheese polenta the same. Bland. No flavor at all. Terrible. We ate the proteins and moved along. We pushed out dishes to the center to show we were done and our glasses were empty. We watched our server again repeatedly pass us, fill other tables water glasses, bring them more wine, deliver dessert. He looked right at us multiple times, never checked on us or offered refills. Never addressed our meals coming out so late. Never anything. Again we had someone else removed our plates we had stacked in the center as our server continued to walk back and forth in front of our table. I stopped another food runner and asked about dessert which I already didn't want at this point and just wanted to leave. Again our server delivered more things around our table and we waited 10 more minutes as people were now leaving who came in after us. Finally dessert and Prosecco came. The strawberry tree leches style dessert was very good. The best part of the meal. It still could absolutely not redeem the $75 per plate of terrible food and drinks and service we had. We planned to give out tip to the food runner who was the only one who did anything to take care of us, and were then delivered a bill which had the gratuity built in. Absolutely horrible idea. Party of 2 and left ZERO accountability for the server to actually do his job. Worst service ever and worst food to top it off! Insulting. We have no idea why we were not treated the way the rest of the customer base was, but know for a fact we will NEVER return to this establishment. To plan and prepare for a holiday dinner like this and find it acceptable to serve the things they did, starting with what they called a "cheese plate" was a punch in the face. And an absolute punch in the pocket book. We were robbed. Feel free to look at any reviews of mine. I've never been compelled to leave this kind of review. Between the worst service we have ever had, and terrible low quality non seasoned food, never again.

Yelp
I felt so welcomed by Josh at the bar. The owner noticed me swaying to the music and asked me if I was comfortable. I told him yes I was enjoying the music, but I was a little chilly, so he invited me to sit at the other end of the bar where it was a little warmer. I really appreciated that. I had the taco combo and it was delicious. My favorite was the fish taco (and I'm not a fish taco lover!), followed by the shrimp taco, and then the chicken taco. The chicken taco was so loaded with succulent meat, it needed a little bit more acid to it to cut through that rich bbq sauce, so next time I'll ask for more of the condiments that go with it. Overall, a lovely experience. I'm blessed that it's close to home. Another customer commented that the Philly cheese stick sandwich is really good, so I will try that one next.

Yelp
We had a really nice time here last night . I ordered a 28 day dry aged steak and my wife ordered lamb chops. They both were delicious and seasoned well . Our server was thorough, he explained the menu to us and what specials they had going on . I'm a dessert guy, I had the bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and fell in love. I could've ate a second one . The atmosphere was very pleasant, we'd like to go back soon.

Yelp
Made a reservation and after a quick change of tables, we were seated at the patio which was nice, except for the flies (more on that later). We had been sitting for at least 5-8 minutes with no one as much asking us if we wanted water until a waiter came along and said he'll be our waiter. He was really nice. The wait, not so much. I ordered the country shrimp skillet which, once it came, did not meet my expectations of presentation or taste. It was dry and even with the butter, just didn't do it for me. For $21, it was meh and I would never order it again. Throughout our meal, flies kept bothering us incessantly which was quite annoying. When providing outdoor seating, one of those electric big/fly zappers would have been good to have. There was one guy, possibly the owner, giving special attention to select tables, perhaps regulars or big spenders, but to the complete oversight of other tables and customers. Over all, we had heard a lot of good things about this place so really wanted to try it. However, neither the food nor the ambience impressed us enough to want to return. The hostesses and waiter were the only good thing about this place.

Yelp
Based off other reviews I had high expectations of this place, but I think we chose an off day so my review is mixed. The interior is very nice and clean and they have one of the best patios in the area. A friend and I visited on a Tuesday night around 5:30. We did not have a reservation, but it did not matter because the restaurant was pretty empty at that time. We were promptly sat and provided menus. The owner, Ravi, came to the table to greet and serve us. This was something I really appreciated as you do not see many establishments where the owner is so involved in the serving process. He was extremely polite and offered suggestions on drinks and food. The menu is expansive and there is something for everyone. I opted for the assorted tacos. They included one chicken, one fish, and one shrimp. My friend chose the Alfredo. We had drinks while we waited on the food. Everything came out quickly. Again, I was looking forward to having an amazing food experience, but they did fall short this time. The Alfredo had a very large amount of sauce compared to the noodles. She ended up having to pour some of the sauce into another dish. The description of the tacos sounded delicious. I was disappointed to see they all had the same sauce on the meat so each taco tasted the same. I was hoping for a more diverse bite with each one since they had different meat. They weren't bad though! Again, why I have mixed opinions on it. I will say that I want to return and try something else. The drinks were really good and the service is exceptional! We also ordered Jack Daniel bread pudding and it was fantastic! I don't want this review to discourage anyone from trying it out. I think they are a very great restaurant and I intend to go back and try something else!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing service and delicious food I ordered the fish and chips and my partner had the shrimp tacos the fish was perfectly flakey and the breading was deliciously seasoned and cooked to perfection. The fries were probably the best fries I've ever had. My partner also had raving reviews on the shrimp tacos 10/10 experience and it was honestly way cheaper than I thought it would be.

Yelp
I thought the owner was incredibly personal and genuine. The food was very good with TONS of options at a reasonable price. Very cool neighborhood spot vibe... will def go again!

Yelp
My in-laws have been telling us about this place for months now and we finally decided to give it a try ourselves. I ordered an old fashion w/Woodford to start. It was very good and met expectations. We had Brussels & Firecracker shrimp as our apps. They were both spectacular! I'm mad at myself for not getting pics of our dinner but we ordered Penne Alla Vodka w/shrimp. My wife ordered shrimp and grits, my FIL ordered mahi mahi. Everyone was very impressed with their meal. I'm not sure but the gentleman that waited our table may have been the owner. He was fantastic! We will be back for sure. Thanks for the great meal.

Yelp
We had a great dinner Saturday evening during the busiest time. The place was packed with a fun atmosphere in the air. We loved the bar area where we had top notch service. Our server was very friendly and the food came out exactly how it should...appetizers first and then timed perfectly for dinner after, with drinks flowing throughout. Even though the place was very busy, we were attended to unbelievably well. The bar was hip, fun and full of great wines, beers and cocktails. Can't ask for too much more to accompany a great dinner. The crispy bacon brussel sprout appetizer was outstanding. It was so good that my wife and I started eating it without snapping a pic unfortunately. My fault and a total Yelper faux pas, but honestly it was that good! Brussels were cooked to perfection with crispy outer flakes, a juicy center without the typical bitterness brussels can give off if not cooked correctly. The bacon, feta and balsamic glaze just added to the many flavors that kept on going. Our other appetizer was the fried goat cheese. Maybe I had high expectations on this one, but it came out a bit flat on taste and a bit dry on the inside. For mains, I had the Scallops Mornay. What a delightful dish! Scallops were perfectly cooked, the light cheesy mornay sauce was excellent. Addition of mushrooms on top of a bed of penne pasta made this dish sing in your mouth. Will definitely get this again. My wife had the cajun shrimp with cheesy grits and andouille sausage. The shrimp and sausage were also cooked to perfection with deep cajun flavors. The only thing holding this dish back were the grits. It was also muted on flavor and very plain, even though everything around it tasted delicious. I would love to give this a 5 star rating, and maybe I will next time we come, but the fried goat cheese and grits hold it back just a little bit. Don't get me wrong, this is an amazing restaurant, fun atmosphere, impeccable service, and we will be coming back often to try more and more of the diverse menu. Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Overall Value: 4.5/5

Yelp
This was our first visit at Elm St Grill. We selected it for dinner before a play at the Tanger Center ( both are located on Elm St). The menu was a very pleasant mix of cuisines: American, Indian, Thai fish and steaks. My wife selected the Fish and Chips. She gushed at the quality and taste of the deep fried fish. She was disappointed with the Cole slaw. It was too heavy with a lot of mayonnaise. I ordered the pork steak covered in a rich mushroom and Marsala gravy. It was perfectly cooked and the gravy was a perfect compliment. I had mashed potatoes and asparagus as sides. My dinner was excellent. I noted many diners added the paired wine with the entree.

Yelp
I have been by this place multiple times and finally decided to go in. I am happy I did. First off the staff is amazing! They are friendly, helpful and personable. They are knowledgeable about the menu and provide great service. We started with the fried goat cheese and lettuce wraps. Both were very good. Nothing was too salty or spicy which I appreciated. One thing I dislike is too much salt. I got the ahi tuna it was on point. I recommend ordering it rare. It came with steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. All cooked perfectly. There was also a side of wasabi that was not very spicy at all. I never eat wasabi but it seems they cut the spice with cream and it was tasty! My husband got the chicken tikka masala tacos and I will definitely be back to get those. Taste was perfection! I can't wait to go back again and try other plates. The ambiance is nice and it's not loud inside. Bathrooms were clean and they have a nice wine selection. I also like that the menu has wine pairing recommendations with each entree. Feedback I can give is the old fashioned should use real cherries not maraschino. Also recommend updating the prices on the menu. For the tuna it was off and we didn't see it until the bill came. Not a big deal but depends on the customer. They should be upfront about prices. Overall great food and service. Will be back again!

Yelp
We used to go to Elm St Grill a bit but from where we lived, it always felt like a longer drive so we chose more local places. When the pandemic hit, we grabbed takeout and occasionally sat down for dinner-always delicious and so many vegetarian choices! Recently when we moved much closer, and with a nice remodel, we started visiting a bit more regularly. The food and service somehow got even better! There's something for every taste and great drinks, beer, and especially wine. A top and reliable restaurant for everyone in Greensboro and beyond. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Excellent food and service - Ruchi and Ravi are the best! awesome drinks - Josh the mixologist rocks! Great service with attentive and friendly servers. Hostess is kind and patient despite the line up at the front door! Everything on the menu is excellent! Always better to make a booking!

Yelp
Every time we enter the doors of Elm Street Grill, we feel like we are right at home. Always a friendly welcome and lovely conversation waiting for us. We love the vibe you immediately feel as soon as you enter. It is our go to local restaurant! I highly recommend their speciality dinners when they are offered. Their Valentine's menu was hard to choose from last night as all choices were incredible! My chicken was unbelievable. I ate every bite and I never do that! Tres leche cake with strawberries...to die for. I hope they put that on the regular menu!! Incredible team...congrats to the owners and their team who made us feel so special. Shout out to Josh as he always serves up the best cocktails and conversation! And what a thoughtful idea to set up a formal photo station for couples and friends last night. Always providing that extra touch! We had such a lovely evening as usual. Thank you. We'll be back soon!

Yelp
We have never been disappointed with our Elm Street Grill experiences, but last night's Valentine's Day menu and service were exceptional! We were treated to an amazing charcuterie board of the tastiest & freshest bread coupled with very high-end cheeses and spreads. My wife's main dish of Tuscan chicken & mashed potatoes and my shrimp/andoule sausage & cheese polenta were both cooked to perfection (but I did eat about 1/2 of my wife's mashed potatoes!). Finally, our strawberry tres leches cake provided the perfect sweet and savory conclusion to our dining satisfaction. Each phase of the meal was paired with the perfect wines and even greater service! The final kicker of perfection was the romantic music played throughout the evening at just the right sound level to enjoy but also allowed us able to converse easily. An 11 out of 10 for a perfect Valentine's dinner!

Yelp
I love this restaurant so much! It's on the regular list of restaurants we go to. There are many reason why. 1) close to home 2) they allow dogs outside and the outdoor area is beautifully lit and relaxing 3) it feels like home. The service is consistent and you feel like you're dining at a friend's house. 4) the food is delicious and fresh! Go try it out. The menu has something for everyone.

Yelp
Impromptu family dinner meet up at a place no one has ever checked out? Definitely! Ravi took care of my reservation for 12 on one day's notice. We live in Charlotte but we're meeting family from all throughout the Triad area. The food options were outstanding! I tried the special of Ostrich steak, wow! My hard to please 82 year old dad mopped up his special of Parmesan crusted flounder. Everyone else at our big table enjoyed their meals. It was a busy night and the kitchen struggled a little with late app delivery but Ravi made sure we were well taken care of. Thanks again for a great night.

Yelp
Walking into this restaurant felt like a home full of customers that keeps coming back and can be casual and also upscaled. The staff was attentive and very nice, the setup was clean and the ambience was relaxing. The food was where it all surprised me. The menu composition is very diverse, so diverse I had a hard time ordering because everything was and sound delicious. I opted for the Chicken masala because..... I didnt expect this. But viola, it was flavor town and deliciousness. The flavors were vibrant. The brussel sprouts are cooked nicely and flavorful, the jambalaya was beautifully spiced and seasoned. The portions were nice and just right. You can't go wrong here if you have family or a date. This is a place of delicious food, very nice staff and ambience

Yelp
OUTSTANDING service, food, and ambiance. I drove into Greensboro for a birthday party. Let me just say - everyone made this party outstanding! From the hostess Jaél who helped us pick the perfect outdoor spot, to the bartender Josh who helped us select an amazing celebration wine. And the manager Ravi went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make my friend's birthday super special and memorable! Drinks were beautifully mixed and the food presentation and taste was superb! I had the fried goat cheese and duck confit. Our waiter Alex kept our table prebussed and made sure we had everything we needed. Perfect celebration and excellent restaurant. We all agreed we would be meeting here again soon!

Yelp
I'm a senior recently moved to Greensboro, I am so glad I've found this gem of a restaurant. I'm a take out customer who does delivery, the quality the Chef and staff put into delivery orders is stellar. I have tried a few of their options the chef makes great Jambalaya. Tonight I decided to order the ribeye with rosemary potatoes and asparagus. One word "Perfect " thank you Chef I'm hoping you and your staff are able to continue to provide such delicious meals from your kitchen.

Yelp
A Valentine's Day Disaster - Not Worth the Hype or the Price If I could give zero stars, I would. My wife and I went out for what we hoped would be a romantic Valentine's Day dinner, but instead, we were treated to an overbooked, overpriced, and underwhelming experience that left us regretting every dollar spent. To start, despite having a reservation, we found ourselves in a long line outside the restaurant. Once inside, the dining area was packed so tightly it felt more like a speed dating event than an intimate dinner. When the cheese plate finally arrived, it was an insult to the concept of charcuterie. The selection was clearly grocery-store quality--Harris Teeter's finest--complete with Triscuits. A sad attempt at upscale dining. The main course, while not terrible, was completely unremarkable and came with a wine pairing that was a joke--a mere inch of wine in the glass. As if that wasn't bad enough, there was nothing green on the plate. If you wanted a vegetable, you had to pay extra for it. Because nothing says "romantic fine dining" like being nickel-and-dimed for a side of asparagus. And then came dessert. A blob of milky cake plopped onto a black plate in the most unappetizing presentation possible. It somehow looked worse than it tasted, which is saying something. The final gut punch? A bill that exceeded $200 for two people to endure this trainwreck of a meal. Save your money, your time, and your appetite. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. Oh, and I forgot to mention, they were constantly taking photographs of the diners and I don't remember signing a release. You better not attempt use me as advertising.

We go here frequently and this was my first time ordering a steak. I had the 6 oz fillet. It was BY FAR the best steak I have had outside of my house in forever. It was well seasoned, tender, and perfectly cooked (medium rare). I have been to Epic Chophouse 3 times and my steak at Elm Street grille was FAR better! Highly recommend!!

Yelp
What a delightful experience! From beginning to end it he staff were attentive and fast! We had a group of 12 and sampled a little bit of everything. Due to the nature of our party, I really only got a picture of my main course - but we tried a variety of things. The fried goat cheese was just as anticipated based on the pictures. The Brussels sprouts were so good with the bacon! We had the crispy shrimp which was comparable to bang bang from Bonefish Grill. I didn't get a chance to try the fried broccoli but it looked great. I had the filet mignon- medium rare- and it was perfect. I had steamed broccoli and onion rings as my sides and they were very good! I tried the salted caramel cake and it was also top notch. If and when I'm back in Greensboro, I will definitely come back.

Yelp
The Dream Cafe. That's the title of a Seinfeld Episode, S3, E7 to be exact. If you're a Seinfeld fan you'll know what to expect. A menu covering every imaginable food type: There's Mexican, Italian, Indian, Cajun, Thai, Chinese, Burgers, Tacos, Seafood, Exotic game, Steaks, you name it..... How can they possibly have that many fresh ingredients and a chef talented enough to execute all those foods? They can't. So after hearing the waiter/owner(?) push such ridiculous specials as a "Caprese" Snapper (no one in Italy is going to melt Mozzarella over seafood, trust me) we settled on some less ambitious offerings........couldn't go wrong, right ? Our Fried goat Cheese was a Berry crusted cheese log from Trader Joes. My Burger was perfectly formed and round, and smooth on all surfaces. Just like you get from those boxes in the Grocery Store freezers. And just as rubbery. The Naan on my wife's Tikka Masala (we thought that was safe as the owners appeared to be Indian) were straight out of the packages of small Naans from Costco. The chicken was horribly chewy and dry. And now we know how they can possibly keep so many "fresh" ingredients on hand for such a wide variety of dishes and cuisines. To paraphrase from another Seinfeld episode (S5 E1), "fake, fake, fake". A minor point - For some bizarre reason we were told that we had to sit in a center table because no booths were available, which wasn't correct, and at one point during our meal there were 6 booths available at the same time.

Yelp
We are from out of state for work and we have been looking for a place like this one. We made a reservation for 7:30 pm, we got seated bit late, but it was minor since we really enjoyed their food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We will have to try their wine dinner next time we're in town. This place is adult friendly and date friendly, we highly recommend and will definitely return for more. P.S. Purple shirt

Yelp
Wow, what a disaster. I've only been here a few times, and remember thinking it was mediocre at best last time I was there. Well, it's gone from mediocre to just plain bad. If you like slow service, meh food, and high prices, this is the place for you. If you like watching groups who get seated 10-15 minutes after you get their drinks (from the bar) before you get your single glass of wine, this is your place! It's totally a place that caters to their regulars ... everyone else just has to hope for the best. Two people = one entree, a terrible side salad with the entree. The other person got two sides only. One iced tea and one half-price glass of wine. $55 A definite "never again." I was prepared to try a couple different wines but felt lucky to get the one glass I had. By the end, we just wanted out of there and to move on. Next time, I'll go to McDonalds, have a better meal, and save $45.

Yelp
Went there for a birthday dinner with our family and we're taken great care of! Our waiter was a middle aged man (we believe may have been the owner) and he made our experience top notch. Even asked our names and addresses us by them the whole night. The food was amazing as well, we got anything from steak, duck, curry, burgers and it was all delicious. The Mac and cheese was AMAZING!

Yelp
I tried this location last night for the first time. It had been recommended to me by a couple of people. The atmosphere was nice and the greeting by the hostess was friendly and she gave us a couple of seating options. The same hostess jumped in a few minutes later to help fix a wobbly table. From there, the experience went downhill. The server was also very friendly, but didn't apparently know the menu. We ordered drinks and then appetizers. While we were waiting to order our entrees we heard the server for the table next to us describe some specials for the day. Our appetizers (sweet chili cauliflower and pimento cheese-sausage dip) both arrived barely luke warm. The cheese dip had some spots that were downright cold. They both had potential, but would have been much better if they were hot. When our server came back to take our entree orders we asked about the daily specials that we somewhat overheard from the table next to us. There was a bit of a language barrier, and he didn't understand what we were asking. He pointed to some regular menu options and said they were good. We asked him to verify the daily specials and it took him several minutes to come back with the server that had communicated them to the neighboring table. Our entrees arrived and one was wrong (we had asked for no bbq sauce on the wrangler chicken) and the ostrich steak entree (daily special) was not at all warm again and had no flavor. When the replacement chicken entree showed up it was so incredibly salty, it was inedible. We had given up at this point. For two drinks each, two appetizers and two entrees to be $200 with tip for this level of service and food quality is not good. If the food was hot and if the server knew what was going on, I would have probably given this restaurant at least a third star if not a fourth. I'm not sure I'll give this place another chance though.

Yelp
Another amazing dinner with family thanks to the team at Elm Street Grill! Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was over the top!!! Our group started the evening with appetizers of pimento cheese dip and fried Brussels sprouts. Our entrees included, ahi tuna, salmon, fresh catch of the day - haddock, shrimp tacos, wrangler chicken, and a gigantic American hamburger. We concluded the evening with Creme Brûlée cheesecake and a slice of Granny Apple pie and ice cream. Everything was delicious and prepared to perfection and served by Ravi the owner and several staff members. Can't wait to go back and celebrate another birthday soon!!!

Yelp
After dining at Elm Street Grill for many years my husband and I went there for Valentine's Day. They did not disappoint, our meal was delicious and service was their usual best. They truly made our Valentine's Day date wonderful! I ended the evening with a perfectly special Valentine's chocolate martini (big thank you to Josh, their wonderful bartender). So looking forward to the wine dinner they will be having in April. Thank you so much Ravi and Ruchi for making our evening so special!

Yelp
We had an amazing Valentine's Day celebration at Elm St Grill. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. The atmosphere is always so welcoming and friendly. Ravi and Ruchi are such wonderful hosts!

Yelp
Feel like I just got robbed. Had reservations at @ Elm Street Grill for the Valentines and it was absolutely terrible. The charcuterie board had been sitting out all night. Worst steak I've ever had, absolutely zero flavor. Then on top of that they made you sit with another couple. They were rushing everyone in and out so they can just flip the table for someone else. We were in and out with a 3 course meal and 3 wines in 45 min and brought the check while we were still eating. Were even asked by the owner to finish our second wine so they could bring the next one. Felt rushed the entire meal. Never will be back.

Yelp
A nice size group of us had gone here for my mom's birthday. I can't remember much about the food but I do remember the service, which was provided by the owner. We had begun ordering appetizers as we wanted to try several things. As we were ordering, he literally said "That's good enough" and stopped taking our order. We just all looked at each other like wow. If a customer is willing to pay for the things YOU offer, being told "enough" should never enter the conversation. There was more to our experience but this was off putting from the start and it didn't make anything else memorable.

Yelp
Both the food and service are hit and miss. They try really hard to serve too many very different kinds of things and don't do many of them all that well. Good enough most of the time I have a feeling but not great most of the time. The cauliflower app was a high point.

Yelp
I hadn't been here since before the remodel for a work lunch. I'm not sure what I was remembering being so special about this place. Took my family with me this time. Food was A+. Thats where it stops. So maybe takeout is the best option? Read further to understand why. Hostess, if you can call her that, seemed very bothered to have to seat us and honestly confused as to what her job was when she approached with "can I help you with something?" We all looked at each other and I honestly wish I had gone with my gut to just leave at that moment. What an odd way to greet guests. Our server was incredibly pretentious. Once he discovered we were there for sodas and burgers, and not wine or ostrich, he somehow became even less attentive (if that's possible) as he flitted between three other tables, doting on other guests who ordered wine and desserts -- which we know because he commented on it. (Note to server: not everyone has a sweet tooth. Not everyone drinks alcohol. Please recognize that some people choose soda over wine; it's ok. We're not all raising overweight alcoholics, thanks. Get over it and pay attention to the PEOPLE at your table, not the PRICE of their meals. That's simply gross. If we had treated you, our server, as rudely as you treated us, you would've taken issue. You're in a SERVICE industry. Pompous attitudes shouldn't be your hallmark). The runner who delivered our food literally threw the plates down. You can't be all these things at once: stuck up AND sloppy. Affected high-brow AND a waiter peddling an "Amish Country" apple crisp. High end "cuisine" AND throwing plates at the speed of light without a word to any of the four guests being served. What a rotten display of service. We're incredibly loyal guests who are trying new-to-us places in hopes of deepening our bench of routine restaurant favorites. We eat out every single night and tip extravagantly for good service. That's a loss for them as we're relatively easy to please and enjoy visiting with our family over good meals while laughing a lot. Shame, since the food was decent. However, 0/10 due to horrible guest treatment. Will not return. We can NOT, in good conscience, recommend this place unless you like eating in a strip mall that believes they're a country club (that we eat at every other night). Of course, we're treated better there though. You're not a Michelin-rated dining experience. You're literally beside a tanning salon. Lol. Treat other humans better.

Yelp
Another gem in the triad! Came here with coworkers and it was amazing! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food! One person got the Chicken tikka masala and the naan that comes with it is to die for! Our waiter was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu and happily answered questions! There is plant of ight inside so you don't feel like you're eating in the dark and you're far enough from other tables!

Yelp
This place was recommended to me by my dentist. My wife and I decided to give it a try before a show at the Tanger Center. We didn't have reservations but they quickly sat us at a table in the bar area. The service was on point over our entire stay. Even the owner stopped by for a quick word and offered a beer suggestion based on what I was already drinking. Our appetizer and entrees were excellent. The price point is mid-range which, based on this visit, is a good value. We will be back.

Yelp
This was our third time at @ Elm Street Grill and it did not disappoint. The restaurant was super busy (I definitely reccomend making a reservation on a weekend night) But the service was unmatched for how busy they were. It wasn't loud but also not quiet which was nice considering how busy they were. My fiancé and I were able to have a conversation without yelling which is a plus. The wine was good and my Ukraine Mule was definitely made by someone who knows how to pour. All ratios were perfect and I could taste each ingredient. Our waitress was on top of it all night. The appetizer, Sausage Pimento Cheese dip, was excellent and had a great flavor. We actually had enough to bring home and are going to use it for breakfast! We both opted for the COTD which was Mahi Mahi. The Mahi and mashed potatoes were delicious and cooked perfectly. I do wish the asparagus had a little more seasoning/flavor. It was very bland to me. Overall, another great experience here at Elm St Grill, and you can tell Ravi truly cares about his business and customers. We will be back soon!
