"A.T. O’Keeffe’s hosted a Pride party in partnership with Dani’s Queer Bar, featuring queer DJs, dancing, and more. The bar faced homophobic backlash and fake negative reviews for its support of the LGBTQ+ community by hosting the event and flying a Pride flag." - Tanya Edwards

"Behind The Field’s red facade you’ll find what you’d expect in a typical Irish pub: framed black and white photos, dark wooden tables and antique beer ad posters and plaques. Play a game of darts or, during summer months, spend time on the outdoor patio. The Field offers a cozy alternative for those who don’t want to dance the night away at its more rowdier neighbors like The Tavern in the Square and Phoenix Landing. Come with cash on hand, they don’t accept credit cards." - Intrepid

"McGreevy's, "America's First Sports Bar", dates back to 1894. Back then, it was the place to be for ballplayers, politicians, gamblers, Tin-Pan Alley stars and die-hard fans known as the "Royal Rooters". It was the center of the sporting and political worlds. It was America's first baseball museum, with every inch of wall space decorated with historic pictures from the owner, Nuf Ced's, own collection and memorabilia he got from friends like Cy Young. The light fixtures were made from bats used by Red Sox stars and the painted portrait of McGreevy that hung above the bar looked down upon customers like Babe Ruth and boxing champ John L. Sullivan, as well as "Royal Rooters" like Mayor "Honey Fitz" Fitzgerald (JFK's grandad) and "Sport" Sullivan, the Boston gambler infamous for masterminding the fix of the 1919 World Series. McGreevy presided over all arguments between fans ending the battles by pounding his fist on the bar exclaiming, "Nuf-Ced"! It's a must see for baseball fans and those wanting a cold pint and experiencing some of America's past." - Amalgam

"McGreevy’s tagline, “America’s first sports bar,” is a bit misleading; it’s a decade-old replica of 3rd Base Saloon, which was located elsewhere in Boston and may have been America’s first sports bar. But first or not, McGreevy’s definitely is a sports bar. Drink some cheap domestic beers and cheer like hell when Duke loses in the first round." - Terrence Doyle

I think it’s amazing that this bar opened its heart and arms during Pride month to its new neighbor, a queer owned establishment. Their act of kindness should be celebrated not criticized. A.T O’keeffe’s was being a good neighbor and community member. Cheers and thanks for making room for everyone! Nothing more American than freedom and justice for all!

Love AT’s! I work in the neighborhood and it’s a great spot to grab a cold one after a shift! You can also catch any game literally ever here, if you’re a sports fan. Staff is lovely & always greet you with a smile. Joe is lovely, if you get him you’re in for a great time! Great Irish pub vibes

great atmosphere with fantastic drinks at impressively reasonable prices, especially considering the stellar location. the decor and architecture was also really cool...we all took a moment to appreciate the black & gold medieval-style ceiling tiles! bartenders were so kind and attentive as well. my friends and i came for drinks but will absolutely have to return to try the food!

Great atmosphere and friendly place. Surprisingly good food. Great place to watch a game with big booths in the back for groups. Service at the bar can be pretty slow even when it’s not crowded but at least they are taking time with the perfect Guinness drafts

Have been coming to this place since I’ve lived in Boston. The first night I was here my boyfriend and I were waiting for an Uber in the rain after they closed, and the owner came out and brought us inside to stay warm until they arrived. Love the food, the people, and the community they support. Will be a life long patron.

I came here yesterday for the first time and was impressed by the atmosphere that O’keeffes created for the Pride event. All the bar tenders were polite and professional, and made sure everyone enjoyed themselves. I highly recommend this place, Pride weekend or not.

Mostly come here during the day for lunch/early dinner. Chill atmosphere, good bar selection, beer, and food is great! Best fish n chips I’ve had in Boston, and my favorite pub in Back Bay.

One of the better pours of Guinness in the city along with Emmett's near the State House. Been here multiple times over the past half a decade and have always enjoyed my time. They are also so inclusive and support Pride!
