I visited this property as a guest. The property is very clean and the amenities are as modern and luxurious as one would expect. However, multiple members of faculty demonstrated less than pleasant behavior.
From the moment I walked in I was not welcomed with a warm pleasant greeting. Instead, the concierge demanded to know who I was seeing and their unit number. As he proceeded to peck at his keyboard, another gentleman walked into the lobby and the concierge demanded the same information. No sooner the gentleman gave his reply the concierge told him to stand and wait as he continued attacking his keyboard. Another guest/resident walked by and asked to use one of the luggage trolleys. Again, the concierge instantly demanded her unit number and who she was there to see.
As the concierge 'escorted' me to the elevator, what appeared to be a new resident was struggling at the entrance with a dolly loaded with bins. The bins tipped over spilling various contents on the floor. I mentioned aloud "someone should help him" when the concierge seemed fully prepared to walk past the man. To my dismay and disgust, the concierge did just that. I stopped and helped the man with his belongings while the concierge rushed to the elevator in apparent efforts to shoo me out of the lobby. I did not care. I made him wait while I proceeded to do his job for him.
The night went on, I proceeded to the 11th floor to attend the event I had been invited to. I watched throughout the evening as every guest in attendance was escorted by a member of staff to the 11th floor. The reason I say this is to solidify, there was no way any of us could have 'snuck in.'
The night carried on, we made good use of the poker table and the amenities in the club room/area. Later, quite a few of the guests decided to go to the pool for photo ops and various things. We had music and cigars. Two things we apparently weren't suppose to have outside. The way we were informed of this was by a woman quite literally sticking her head out the window of her apartment above the 11th floor and shouting it to us while also proclaiming she was the manager. When my host proceeded to converse with her, the woman resumed howling like a banshee, questioning if my host even lived on the property. When my host confirmed her residence the 'howling banshee's demanded her unit number....WTF!!!
My entire experience there as a guest, I felt like I had to defend my right to be there. After seeing the residents apparently have to do the same, I can say with certainty - I wouldn't let the flea that bit my dog's ass live here. Their faculty needs to attend SEVERAL workshops regarding how to properly treat their patrons. Their soft skills are detestable and they seemed more intent on running the property like Area 51 than ensuring their guests/residents were properly accommodated. For the sake of my host, I strongly hope Atelier's budget for the new fiscal year includes an appropriation towards purchasing their mgmt team some clues on how to do their jobs properly.
