What can I say about Atelje? They have one Michelin star, but the overall ambience is of a great but humble neighborhood pub, with truly epic food served without the pretense and over-attentiveness of other restaurants of its caliber. Instead of changing the cutlery service with each course, they arm you with an evening's worth of it from the beginning. They only change the stemware when they change to a truly different kind of wine. And instead of 4 or 5 attendants for the table, we had one, our waiter Anže, who was dressed simply in a chef smock and apron. Put another way, they leave it all on the table and the plate and in the glass in giving you a great culinary experience.
