Great tasting food with interesting flavour combinations. It was autumn when we visited so autumnal flavours were evident like chestnut, mushrooms, and deer. There is no menu to choose from, you just select from either 5, 7 or 9 courses after explaining any particular allergies or dislikes. We had three 'amuse bouche', then five courses. Would recommend. Fine food but and very relaxed dining area, with optional private spaces too.

Highly recommend!!!! Had a great experience at this restaurant. The service and personal was outstanding, very personal experience and enjoyable moment with my family. We enjoyed the 7 courses which was perfect amount of food (I think the 9 courses will be a bit too much). We had pairing wine tasting and what I love is that the go with Slovenien wines which I’m not very familiar with. It was always a dish on the table and we were always enjoying the moment and not waiting. Pay a visit!!

Memorable service and lovely ambience. Wine tasting pairing was the show stealer, as were the desserts. Everything plated beautifully and explained in friendly, knowledgeable detail. The nine course tasting menu was hit or miss with us. Taste was subtle and refined. All were good dishes, but only a pair that were really special for us. You can’t go wrong with a visit here, but not a must visit for us.

Highly recommend this restaurant. Wonderful experience, the food takes you on a beautiful journey which took around 4 hours for the 9 course taster menu. My first try of Slovenian wines too 🤩

Super creative dishes, friendly staff, only small point of criticism is the wine pairing. Many oxidated orange / bio wines that are mostly complementary to the dish, but just not so nice on it's own. Luckily they served the amazing Edi Simcic Kolos at our main dish. Great price / quality as well! 9 Course meal with sparkling starter and wine pairing for €150. Totally worth it.

What can I say about Atelje? They have one Michelin star, but the overall ambience is of a great but humble neighborhood pub, with truly epic food served without the pretense and over-attentiveness of other restaurants of its caliber. Instead of changing the cutlery service with each course, they arm you with an evening's worth of it from the beginning. They only change the stemware when they change to a truly different kind of wine. And instead of 4 or 5 attendants for the table, we had one, our waiter Anže, who was dressed simply in a chef smock and apron. Put another way, they leave it all on the table and the plate and in the glass in giving you a great culinary experience.

Stopped here for their set lunch. Wow! Delicious food that made me annoyed we were leaving that day without getting to try their tasting menu on an evening. Really great value for the high quality food. Staff really helpful suggesting drinks, and when I said I preferred an IPA to wine she then gave directions to good bars to go to afterwards. Great service.
