San Diego’s Best Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurants | Eater San Diego

"When the daughter of Pimwara “Patty” Thongchua, owner of the Thai Joint, went vegetarian, she created this spot that serves meat- and fish sauce-free creations. Plumeria’s menu is filled with all the familiar Thai dishes, from pad thai to panang curry, and all vegan except for one vegetarian appetizer. The mock duck larb is a standout starter — lime and soy sauce-soaked seitan tossed with onions, chilies, cilantro, and a dusting of roasted rice powder." - Kelly Bone

So much plumeria we were awe struck! I was able to buy several rare plumeria and look forward to buying more. Everyone there was so helpful and super friendly. I recommend skipping the prices and generic colors of plumeria from Lowes and Home Depot and come straight to the growers! The pictures I posted are what we came home with. 😊

From all the How To’s on the internet and numerous YouTube videos, there were none that provided the most relevant and best info than with Atkinson’s class on “Help Your Plumeria Thrive in ’25”. I am a novice with trying to establish plumeria cuttings, and from the Mike Atkinson’s class, I walked away with so much great information. I immediately applied his best practices when I got home and after few weeks my cuttings began to look encouraging. The big take-away that I learned from attending his class is that growing conditions varies in different regions of the USA. As a subject matter expert, Mike Atkinson shared his 30+ years of experience on how plumeria may best flourish in SoCALs fluctuating temps, including the best soil composition and environmental factors to keep plumeria plants thriving. I am so grateful that I attended this class. Thank you, Ben
