I enjoyed a warm freshly baked classic plain bagel with butter and it was delicious. My partner and I also shared the kale salad (large portions!) and it was also super yummy. Will definitely visit again and try one of the signature sandwiches.

Google
This place is so good, how did I not know about it? Definitely a dark horse contender for the best bagels in NYC. How did no one tell me about their lard bread bagel??? The staff was very professional and friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy being there.

Google
In case you missed it, Atlantic Bagels is under new ownership! Ina and her team have done an amazing job at reviving this neighborhood spot. It’s now a warm, inviting space with fantastic bagels (classics as well as interesting new flavors like raisin fennel) and service. The prices are also super reasonable compared to many of the other bagel shops nearby. If you haven’t been back in some time because the old spot wasn’t your thing, I recommend giving Atlantic Bagels 2.0 a shot!

Google
Ordered a bagel and cream cheese and just a schmear of scallion cream cheese was 3 bucks and I got a dry bagel! When I walked back, they didn't even offer to make a new one. You're a bagel place in NYC?! Come on!

Ellie Cody

Google
New (local, independent!!) ownership has done an amazing job revamping the space and menu while maintaining the same affordable prices. Highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich (I crave this… truly so good), and the grab and go salads are excellent… as well as the bagels, of course!

Michèle B. Armstrong

Google
The new owner of this bagel shop has given Atlantic Bagels new life! The bagels were good before but now they’re on a whole ‘nother level ✨ I got an assortment and each one was just as amazing as the next and so soft and rich. My tummy thanks her!!

Google
This place has made a total turnaround since being a dingy & grumpy hole in the wall. Now when I come in I’m greeted and remembered. The new owners made a caraway seed bagel that’s SO flavorful. In general the ratio of toppings to bagel in general is perfect here. Oat matcha latte is surprisingly delicious for a bagel place.

Google
We’ve been coming here for a while, the people who work here are so kind and make great food. There have been a lot of new changes to management, which is fine, but they are making negative/weird changes, like you can’t get an egg and cheese on a bagel anymore, only a brioche (about 3 people came in and asked the same thing and were all equally confused, felt bad for the people working who had to keep explaining it). They are trying to make it feel like a corporation rather than a neighborhood bagel spot. Again, the people who work there are great, but it’s very obvious management is out of touch with what customers want.

Alisa W.

Yelp
It's what you expect a bagel should be. Shiny crisp crust with a dough center. A plain bagel with scallion cream cheese hit the spot for breakfast

Yelp
They completely redid this bagel shop. For the worse. It used to be my favorite place in the neighborhood and I went back for the first time since the renovation today. All new staff and a whole new look. The bagel wasn't even cut in half. It tastes like it's from the Midwest. The bacon egg and cheese had a slab of egg it looked like it was pre packaged and from Dunkin' Donuts. The plain bagel also looked like an egg bagel, so yellow. The quality diminished. The iced coffee was also really bad it was watery and lacking flavor. The staff was not trained as they asked us out order 3 times and forgot one of the things. Just go to la bagel delight.

Peter K.

Yelp
New owner is putting the place together. The bagels are great and best in bklyn heights cobble hill. They are starting to serve great croissants and sandwiches
google avatar

Sara B.

Yelp
I used to love coming to this place but they must have been bought out an they have new owners or something. The food is awful, and the coffee is awful, and the wait time is painfully long. I ordered a bacon egg & cheese and the egg looked like a premade dunkin donuts egg. Definitely wont be coming back anymore

Yelp
I've been going here for my lunch every now and then but the place got recently bought and it's going down hill. The place is getting friendlier and the menu is expanding and things are being upgraded. But the bagels... they are being shrinkflated. This is supposed to be a bagel store and yet all the attention feels like it's going to other things. The service is great! Friendly staff and since the new owner has been in the picture the inside has become a lot warmer. If you're into that I get it but I'm here for a damn bagel. Court St Bagels is like a 4 minute walk and 10x better. I like have to show yall this schmear I paid 3 bucks for its insane. Every time I've gone the schmear has been smaller and smaller. If im paying what I'm paying here for a bagel it's gotta be a good bagel. Disrespectful Schmear

Yolemny R.

Yelp
Service was terrible. the menu is boring and overpriced. I can literally go to any deli and get something way better.

Grace M.

Yelp
Been going here for years. However, they just got new management or something. It has completely gone downhill the experience and the quality does not compare to what it used to be. They've hired completely new staff who seem like they have never touched bagel in their life. The service is awful, the order is almost always wrong. Every time I've gone recently I've left extremely disappointed. Also prices crazy. Who gets rid of Gatorade and brings in CBD drinks? Switching to court st bagels which is further from my home.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
One slice of bacon on a bacon egg and cheese after waiting 15 minutes and paying $13....it hurt my soul enough to write a bad yelp review, which is pretty rare. Even the bagel itself was mediocre.
google avatar

Glenn C.

Yelp
As per most other reviews, overpriced not so tasty bagels. Better than LA up the block but leagues worse than Court Street or Smith Street. At least they're open at 7 and the coffee is decent. Not too big and they are a bit skimpy on cream cheese. Mid 2 lowered for their prices.
google avatar

Robin S.

Yelp
The service was horrible. It was confusing when I walked in and no one greeted me. They were busy cleaning and didn't take a second to acknowledge me at all. I asked the young lady can I order she pointed me to the gentleman . He didn't acknowledge me either. I waited and the lady sent me back for man to order and he threw . Heartless . I won't return
google avatar

Yelp
Foods always good. Little expensive. Inside always looks clean. Cashier is alittle rude.

Dan D.

Yelp
Don't use this place from the " too good to go " app- I picked up a order expecting to get some bagels from the morning at 2 pm - the dude yelled to back In the kitchen and then other guy handed him a bag of rocks that they call bagels. They definitely gave me from the day before deff not left over from the day . I'll just give my money to bagel delight

Scott W.

Yelp
Wish I had read the reviews regarding the prices. No words in the English dictionary. Bought a half pound of regular cream cheese and a quarter pound of scallion for a total of $12.17.

Jerry P.

Yelp
This morning I ordered "egg whites on a toasted, scooped out poppy bagel with swiss, salt and pepper. I waited 12 minutes? That's 2-3X any other bagel shop. Then I went to pay. No prices posted and I was charged $9.64? That's 50% more than surrounding neighborhood bagel shops. And the cashier neither showed me the credit card transaction (on the machine she kept turned toward her), or indicated whether she added a tip. I didn't ask. I just wanted to leave. The whole thing felt slimy (I'm a retail consultant, have a pretty decent frame of reference). Then I opened the sandwich in my car. Been buying this same sandwich all over Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan for 30 years. This was about the worst. I believe 1 egg white? The swiss was not melted. The bagel was undertoasted and apparently had not been fresh. It was a disaster. I was in a rush. I left. I won't go back. You shouldn't either. Sumpin' up with these people.
google avatar

Honey D.

Yelp
SCAMMERS. I can't even expend the energy to describe this place except you will pay $20 for two bagels. The prices are not posted, I would say, make sure of the price before you order, but let's be honest there are thousands of other places to get terrific bagels within two blocks just go there!

Ray M.

Yelp
Delicious bagel sandwiches and friendly service. All negated by the price - calling huge BS on the $10 bacon, egg, & cheese bagel. $4 overpriced. Shameful. No return
google avatar

Tangela W.

Yelp
This is the third time I've tried with this place. They say the third time is a charm but this place just doesn't t get it. This was supposed to be ham on a bagel with special instructions to add cheddar cheese and toast the bagel dark.

Chase D.

Yelp
$11.35 for a bacon egg and cheese. Am I losing my mind?? Never going here again. 0 star no thank you.

berat b.

Yelp
Too expensive. Only egg and cheese 10$ they charge. Other stores 5$ lol. And they gave me wrong bagel terrible service
google avatar

Jen G.

Yelp
The food here is actually pretty good. I haven't met a bagel sandwich that I've not liked. My review is for the service. I dined here recently and noticed that they removed all of the prices from the boards on the wall and when I got to the register to pay for my turkey reuben on an everything bagel, the lady wanted to charge me $10+ dollars, claiming it was a speciality sandwich and the only way to ring it in was to list it as "pastrami" which tacked on additional cost. I didn't even order pastrami! Y'all, a turkey Reuben is turkey, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing! You're telling me that there is no way to ring in a turkey sandwich? Lol After looking at the menu prices online I realized how insanely absurd the up-charges were. I guess what was so frustrating is the complete lack of concern and inability to articulate why! For Brooklyn, $12 isn't a lot for a sandwich but it's the principle. And put your prices back on the wall.

Yelp
I got the plain bagel with cream cheese and lox and my wife got the plain with cream cheese toasted. They both tasted great and we enjoyed it very much! We also ordered a tropical smoothie which tasted so natural and delicious. Will definetly be a constant customer here. One thing tho... they gave us a chocolate chip muffin instead of a banana nut muffin which we ended up not eating. Good place though and mistakes do happen!

Jny T.

Yelp
Avoid at all costs. Worst bagel in NYC and the prices (never posted) are abolsutely comical. Sub par bagel with no name cream cheese for $5?! You've got to be kidding me. All danishes etc are bought in bulk and seill in their posatic covering. Only difference is that they charge 3x the price from one of the many coffee carts in the city. Place is dirty and the owner is just greedy and has zero sense of community. Would gove zero stars if possible. Plenty of other altarnatives in the Heights, Cobble Hil, etc.
google avatar

Ted T.

Yelp
Always something tasty to order from their menu bagels modified to your specifications. You get good amount of enjoyable food to push down towards your stomach for what you pay. Staff very friendly and accommodating. (Plus no raucous background music)
google avatar

Leela M.

Yelp
Nice variety of bagels. Fast service. Bagel with lox spread has good size pieces of real lox (thick layer of cream cheese though). Staff is nice. Store has coffee shop, I like interior design and atmosphere.

Fatima A B.

Yelp
The staff are very friendly And the food always comes delicious My everyday morning cafe to order from

Yelp
Meh, I love bagels so it's hard to disappoint me on that front but the service is a bit slow, it's a little pricey and both times I've come here it's been hard to tell if they even know I'm still waiting for my food. For a point of reference on prices, we got a ham egg and cheese bagel, sausage egg and cheese bagel, and a salt bagel with cream cheese and it was $14. A little much, but no complaints on the food itself. The bagels are crispy on the outside but still soft on the inside. Really good. I tried the scallion cream cheese before and really liked it as well. The coffee could definitely be stronger. I'll come back for sure because it's convenient, but I could stand to find a cheaper place with better coffee.

David I.

Yelp
Don't go! Just go to Montague Bagel or Court St Bagel. This places is more expensive, gives less l, poor service and poor quality.
google avatar

James W.

Yelp
100% the best bagel in all of Cobble Hill/Brooklyn Heights and Carroll Gardens. Biggest and freshest.
google avatar

Farhad S.

Yelp
I made a mistake while ordering but the stuff was very nice and friendly and the food was delicious. Thank you!
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
I don't understand the low rating on this place. The bagels are delish, often hot, and they are so fast and friendly. It's my go to every day bagel. It does not disappoint. Solid and reliable!
google avatar

Charles H.

Yelp
The food is super mediocre. La Bagel Delight has WAY better food (way better bagels). That aside, the service is my real problem with this place. I live nearby so I have a habit of going (at least to get coffee) 4-5 Times a week. I decided today I'm never going back because of how rude most of the staff are. My suggestion is La bagel delight if you want a bagel, and Brooklyn Heights Deli for sandwiches.

Super B.

Yelp
tried. then read reviews. agree. overpriced. marginal bagels. other better ny bagels close by.

Hana H.

Yelp
This place is a scam. They don't have their prices posted in the store which is illegal in NY and base their prices by "customer appearance". My daughter ordered an egg and cheese on a bagel. The price for that in the neighbourhood is between $2.50 to $3.50. Instead they charged her over $8.00! When my daughter asked why it was $8, the woman at the register said "they're magic eggs" and laughed. It was a mediocre bland bagel, nothing special about it. My daughter was too embarrassed to tell them she didn't want it. They took advantage and scammed her. This establishment is made up of a bunch of crooks. Avoid them unless you want to be charged double the price of every other bagel store in the area.
google avatar

Taylor M.

Yelp
Love this place!! It's nothing fancy by any means, but the bacon, egg, and cheese on bagel is delicious!!! They are very friendly and quick.
google avatar

Julianne B.

Yelp
Solid NY bagel shop with nothing new to report. They serve gagels, sandwiches and a few things in between. There is ample seating and it's relatively clean. The lack of prices on the board was a little annoying, but I walked in with a clear idea of what I needed to rev me up that morning: a lox bagel with all the fixings. It was about $16 for a lox special and a bagel with butter. The man taking my order was attentive and friendly. I took my order receipt to the payment counter and the young woman took her time finishing her texts before helping me, groaned when the credit chip machine took a little while to connect and handed me my receipt without a glance or a comment. The lox bagel itself was well balanced. There wasn't too much of any one item. I had a crunchy onion, slightly salty capers, and an even blend of lox and cream cheese. I won't seek out this shop but I don't see a reason to avoid it either. Convenience is key for us NY-ers.

Yelp
Atlantic Bagels gets your morning going with delicious breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The bagels are soft and whatever spread you desire it's done well. I love when turkey bacon is an option anywhere. The French toast could use a little more perfecting but the fruits added gave the breakfast plate lots of color. You can take your items to go or enjoy it right there at one of the tables that tends to seat 2-4 people. The open window layout pours the sunshine in, making your morning that much better. I would highly recommend Atlantic bagel for your morning takeout style grub.
google avatar

Leonard L.

Yelp
Atlantic Bagel NY Brooklyn Heights 11am Easter Sunday 5th April 2015 Four Stars The aroma in thesis place was great. The place took a while to make our bagels. I had an everything bagel with Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. I checked in with Yelp and got 25% off. The bagel was seasoned on both sides. It was toasted with butter. The eggs were real. The bacon was thin, crispy, and salty. The cheese was melty. It was wrapped in foil so it was still warm while I ate it on the promenade.

Yelp
It was my second time coming here today, and it will probably be my last. The food is okay, not amazing. I am not a bagel fanatic, but the plain bagel with butter they included was really nice. Might come back for just that. Ordering was a bit of a mess. I waited in a small line of people, and was confused where to actually order and which of the 5 guys behind the counter would take it. After 3-5 minutes where I keep thinking someone should be taking my order and I am looking from person to person......they ask some lady who just walked up a second earlier for her order, and I am thinking "Really." So I feel I have to get a touch pushy to order. Annoying. Food took average amount of time. When it came out from the kitchen, it was in a plastic covered container. One of the guys who seemed like a manager started pick at the food. He was wearing one glove, and using that hand maybe he was just putting stuff into place, but threw away one item. I don't know, but I didn't really like it. A second later he answered the phone with the same gloved hand. Not sure as I didn't stick around to see if he changed it, but I don't think so. I ate the food anyway as I know this is common. But I figure the less employees to touch my food, the better. The price was different this time than the last time when I ordered the same thing. Not sure which one was the correct price, but I hate that.

Yelp
I love Altantic Bagels Cafe! I go there every morning to get a bagel and a coffee to start my day. It's a great place to take your friends and family for a breakfast!
google avatar

Diana A.

Yelp
The best place in this area! People are always nice. Stopping by just to get their coffee! Always good and fresh smoothies.
google avatar

Tyshawn W.

Yelp
Ehhh the service is very very slow like everyone else said...the food was simply ok...it's sorta like the place where you go because it's the only one available...price is also pretty darn high...questionable if i'll return.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
One of the best places in this area, Bagels are always fresh and staff is courteous and speedy. Prices are mid-level but you are paying for freshness and good service. I will be coming back soon.

Feyzullah K.

Yelp
Perfect spot for breakfast. Staff was friendly and service was amazing. They have various choices for breakfast but my favorite is their pancakes and waffles. Highly recommended.

Fay H.

Yelp
THIEFS!!! Don't have any of their menu prices displayed and after making my bagel with egg & cheese they charge me $8! Unbelievable! They even charge Arizona which is $1 nationwide almost $2. Stay away from this place.

Sezen G.

Yelp
Great bagels, good price ,my Sunday morning go to I love bagels and themuffins are delicious There's a nice seating area in the inside
google avatar

Adriane C.

Yelp
I usually skip this "cafe" whenever I'm in the mood for a bagel because of the following: 1. They work with no sense of urgency and will make you wait longer than necessary even for the simplest order. 2. Coffee sucks. 3. Everything is overpriced 4. The quality of the pastries they serve is questionable All in all, I've had more unpleasant run-ins than positive here. Kinda wish they'd shape up because there's potential here.
google avatar

Emma F.

Yelp
Stopped by here for breakfast and everything was very average. I got the ham & cheese omelette which was $8 and came with 2 slices of toast and fries. Nothing really stood out to me, the cheese on the omelette was a bit too much. Unlike the previous reviews, I didn't find the service slow (I came around 12pm), but the food wasn't bad and wasn't great.
google avatar

Morgan F.

Yelp
Five stars for always taking in our complicated, sometimes four-kinds-of-coffee-four-different-ways orders. Ive watched this staff handle crowds of people to the back of the store with finesse and grace and personability. Also? its a stroke of genius this shop offers black OR white and black AND white cookies! Sometimes Im feeling one or the other, y'know? Its good to have choices and this cafe has been incredible to me.
google avatar

Marie P.

Yelp
My go-to spot for a quick bite in the area. Food is consistently good, and the place is clean. Service is mostly good, and always prompt. We've also gotten breakfast delivered to the office for morning meetings, and it was always on time, and the same good quality as ordering at the counter.
