Atlantic Dunes Park is a perfect beach to keep away from the crowds. Small paid parking lot across the street and fills up quickly on weekends. Restrooms and shady area next to beach entrance. Lifeguard station beach with umbrella and chair rentals. Staff on week and weekends cleaning the area.

Saturday morning, I got up early and headed to Atlantic Dunes Park. I arrived early enough that the regular parking lot was still locked, which was a serious bummer. I get that someone needs to be here to open it but this was a disappointment. Once I did find a spot to park, it was a nice walk through the mangroves and along the boardwalk over the dunes to the beach. I found a seat, probably trespassing from one of the communities but the chair was comfy. With my coffee in hand, I was here for over an hour as the Sun slowly came over the horizon. I was undisturbed. Other beachgoers walking back and forth but folks seemed to get my vibe and did not approach. There is a beached sailboat here since December. Maybe it's still here when you visit. It made for some fun photos. There is a bathroom facility and a beach shower and a picnic pavilion. Parking across the street requires feeding a meter. Don't forget that.

Such a lovely place to hang out and just relax. I love this beach. Not too crowded considering the time of the year. Parking was easier than I expected. The sand is kept pretty clean of garbage and there's plenty of space to choose your spot, open the chair or rent one, and lay back to enjoy the ocean. Definitely coming back

Great little hidden gem in Delray Beach! This is the type of place that if you blink while driving by you’ll miss it! It doesn’t have a lot of parking but every time I’ve gone here it’s never been crowded. The beach is big and the water is warm, what more could you ask for? There are bathrooms (that were surprisingly clean) and a shower station to rinse off at before leaving. All in all, not a bad place to spend a day 😊👍

Fantastic Beach area and not very busy. Parked on the street close by and paid $3 per hour.

If you're visiting from out of town, this is not the beach for you. This is a local beach . Just to the north, you will find restaurants plenty of parking shopping access to all the expensive tourist things. Go to that beach. If you're looking for peace and quiet, a fun little park a little bit of a walk from parking your car Atlantic dunes will be perfect . Look for Jackson rent your chair and umbrella from him . Remember to pick up your garbage and dispose properly when you leave thank you for keeping our beach clean .

Beautiful boardwalk entrance to the beach. Shaded trees and shrubbery. Picnic tables and grilling area. Lead to a beautiful beach. Showers for rinsing after swimming in the waves.

We brought our own chairs and umbrella, but parking across the street we decided to make it easy on ourselves and rent some. They were comfy and made the day better. The beach is gorgeous and has a boardwalk and restrooms with a shower to rinse off as well. Really enjoyed our time here

Atlantic Dunes Park is located one block north of Linton Blvd. on AIA. One hundred and twenty one metered parking spaces for the beach are available across the street at 1030 Rhodes Villa Ave. Handicapped parking is located on the beach side. The city provides two surf chairs located at the lifeguard station to assist handicapped individuals and their caregivers to get across the beach. Life guards from the Ocean Rescue Division are available every day from 9 to 5. The beach is gorgeous. There is a nature trail and a boardwalk up to the beach but it ends at the sand. Beach amenities include a pavilion, restrooms, and picnic tables. At the end of February the beach was cleaned up by the Institute for Regional Conservation, a non profit dedicated to restoring and protecting bio diversity. Volunteers picked up trash, removed invasive species, and installed native plants. The beach is looking better than ever. Now that the beaches have finally reopened, it is the perfect time to visit. After a day here you can finish up with a drink and snack at the Old key Lime House. It is the perfect staycation.

It's lovely and peaceful with friendly beach goers! Water is clear and warm! Beach is clean!

In my book, Atlantic Dunes Park is a hidden-gem of beaches in beautiful Delray Beach! Located just a block north of Linton Boulevard on FL-A1A, Atlantic Dunes Park is a little bit south of FL-A1A and Atlantic Avenue, a bit further from the main drag and south of the main beach, making it less crowded than those spots (still love the Main Beach too though). Thanks to being a bit further from most of the action in Downtown Delray, it does not get as crowded and being the southernmost end of the Delray public beach, almost feels like a private beach, a bonus! In addition, walking up to the beach from the street, you get to ascend stairs or trail (there is also handicapped access) lined with many trees, adding an additional level of tranquility. Once up from the street, there is a fork, which either takes you on a nature trail lined with even more trees or a wooden path reminiscent of a boardwalk, further adding to the relaxation! After a small hike, you are rewarded with a clean, wide, and gorgeous beach, lined with smooth white sand and refreshing and clear ocean water, sometimes even enabling you to see marine life. What's more? There are plenty of amenities, including clean restrooms, outdoor showers to rinse off sand, and lifeguards. All in all, I can definitely say that Atlantic Dunes Park is my favorite beach in Delray and one of my favorite beaches in Florida!

A great spot of the beach with easy parking. It gets busy at peak hours but is really nice early in the morning and later in the day.

5 stars because it's a beautiful beach. Very clean. The pavilion and boardwalk to the beach was nice. Parking was easy, but they could use more than 2 meters. (There were 10 people waiting at each meter. I'm not from the area, so I can't say if this is normal or not) They are currently working on the beach. There was equipment everywhere. I hate to be negative... I dont know the name of the hotel/housing or what ever it was. But 99% of the people were kicked off the beach. We were all told it's a members only beach. The sign for members only was clearly marked off to the right. The brown sign that we were next too said it was the town beach. Many people were residents of Florida disputed being told they had to leave, and were going to contact the proper authorities.

Love this section of beach! If you are looking for: - easy access from hwy 95 (Exit #51 Linton Blvd heading East (right) and hang a left at Ocean Blvd) park is almost immediate on your right and parking on opposite side of the street. Accessible parking on the same side as the park.) - inexpensive parking ($1.50 an hr) across Ocean Blvd (zone 3164) - clean beach with life guard - relaxed, not very busy beach - restrooms and outdoor showers - restaurants, shops, busy scene Delray Municipal Beach at Atlantic Blvd are just 1.4 miles walk up the beach or drive North on Ocean Blvd This is the place for you! Just be sure to get out of the parking lot before dark or the ranger will lock the parking lot gates.

This is my go-to beach while staying at the my home away from home in Delray. Easy parking lot across the street with meter stations ($1.50/hour), bathroom facilities with outdoor showers and a nice wide sand area between entering and being at the waters' edge which is always free from debris and seaweed. Sand is always white and clean as well. There are often surfers and windsurfers here, so that can be entertaining to watch. There are umbrellas and cushioned lounge chairs for rent, however, I prefer to simply lay on my towel and feel the sand beneath me. A win-win all around and I always look forward to returning when I am in town.

2017.05.06: I walked to this beach park on a Saturday from the car dealerships on Federal Highway. I was getting work done to my vehicle and wanted to get in some photography while I waited. What is great about this park is the short little nature trail inside an area of trees. I found a lot of little birds inside the trees, nesting birds with chicks near the beach entrance, and along the beach some shore birds. There was plenty to view and I came away with quite a lot of nice photos.

This place is a gem. It's a short drive south down A1A from the much much busier and impossible-to-find-parking access points just north by Atlantic Ave. There are two public pay lots right across the street, and I've never had any trouble finding parking. The beach - even when "crowded" - never really feels that way. It's very large and there's plenty of room to spread out. The city contacts a company which offers lounge chairs and umbrellas (2 chairs + umbrella for $10/hr or $40/day). It's a great deal, and the setup is pretty comfortable. The beach itself is on par for an Atlantic Ocean beach - the sand has more shells than in some other places, but still comfortable to walk on. The damaged done by Sandy a few years back totally wiped this place out, so it's nice to see it restored. No walkable food here, but there are clean (well, clean enough) bathrooms, an area with showers to rinse off, and a pretty decent picnic area. All in all, great place - especially if you have a car and don't mind being a little bit away from downtown.

Having checked out Deerfield Beach and Boyton Beach, Atlantic Dunes Park was my favorite. ADP is slightly less crowded than Deerfield Beach, but had more of a crowd than Boynton Beach. PARKING: There is a lot across the street for $1.50 an hour. Boynton Beach parking is $10 per day. At Deerfield Beach, lot parking is around $15 for 3 hours. You can look for street parking, but it can be a hassle. BEACH: Lots of clean, white sand, clear water - just how I like it. There are chairs and umbrellas to rent for $10 an hour or $40 a day. Plenty of space to bring your own chairs, blankets, and umbrellas. A lifeguard is on duty and I even saw him caution beachgoers to come in when they were out too far in the water. (That was a first!) Atlantic Dunes Park also has a bathroom facility with outdoor showers. If you're looking for vendors and stores and a little more drama check out Deerfield Beach. If you'd prefer less people and some food vendors, check out Boynton Beach.

It is very relaxed and secluded and there's not that many people out. You will have a little bit of problem getting parking because there's one parking lot and it gets crowded.

A hidden treasure away from the touristy main strip. Go before 12 noon to get paid parking. Umbrella and chair can be rented, even seasonally! So it's kinda like your own beach club!!! Chill beach and great locals. Very relaxing. I bring edm music to listen to and enjoy it all!!!

Actually this is quite cute. Huge beach area, I mean probably the biggest I've seen in SoFlo in a long time. Very very quite. Definitely retirees or familes with kids then the vs. The Spring Break Crowd that can be associated with Fort Lauderdale Beach. There's metered parking across the street, but get there early or you won't get a spot. There's no food or drinks that I saw anywhere around so make sure you pack something to bring with you. They did have a bathroom facility (other than the ocean water :) ).

Please Note: NO DOGS allowed in the park, or Anywhere on Delray's Beaches Do not try to use this park as access. Dogs are illegal anywhere and everywhere on Delray's beaches. Period. Under penalty of Fine.

Many parking but parking meters need repairing. Large pavilion & picnic benches are being replaced/under renovation. There are seats & umbrellas available for rentals; public showers & restrooms; no playground. Otherwise, great location to view firework displays on July 4th & New Year's Eve. Beach is clean & well maintained; has nice nature trails near the restrooms to the beach. There are odd bench & bible on renovation site.

Nice clean public beach with paid parking at $1.50 per hour. I went on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded.

It's very disturbing that there seems to be so little public beach access in this area of South Florida. Finding myself in southern Palm Beach County and wanting to take a dunk in the ocean, I noticed a small beach access point in Boca, but the parking area appeared to be full. Whatever, I figured, I'd drive just a little, and SURELY there'd be another small beach park not too far up the road. I was wrong. I kept driving and driving up A1A for miles, noticing nothing to my right except fancy homes, resorts, and condos. I guess that in the 561, they want to keep the common rabble like me off the beach. Occasionally, I'd see a little wooden walkway to the shore, but those did me no good at all, as there seemed to be zero public parking nearby. Finally, after it felt like I'd already driven halfway to Martin County, I noticed this Atlantic Dunes Park, and, score! - it appeared to be open to the common man, with ample PUBLIC PARKING across the street! The beach up here is a bit more rustic than that found down in Miami, but I appreciate that. This is a nice little facility. Crossing Ocean Blvd and walking in the park entrance, to your right you'll find a shower, and a pavillion housing clean restrooms. Clean public restrooms at a beach? You won't find that anywhere on South Beach, that's for damn sure. Short walk over the dunes, and there's the Atlantic we all know and love. With a narrow ribbon of sand, it looks much more like a "natural" seashore than one would find at points further south. This is more my kind of beach.

This is our preferred beach for a quick family swim (2 hours or less), when in Delray Beach. It's just north of Linton Blvd, so you can get to it quickly from inland Delray. And much less crowded than the beaches closer to downtown. So you can get in and out quickly. Pros: Lifeguards on duty in a real tower Not crowded Ample parking in the municipal lot, even on the weekend $1 an hour (nothing compared to Chicago!) Parking lot machine takes credit cards Short walk to the beach (100 meters?) Freshwater open shower Fewer beach bodies, more of us normal fat people Clean beach and grounds Cons: No public building facilities (showers, toilets are still being built) Porta-potties x 2 Umbrella and lounge chair rental is rather steep ($30/day, $10/ hour) Only one shower head You have to scamper across the busy 2 lane S. Ocean Blvd to get from the parking lot to the beach. Use the crosswalk.

This is the beach I go to on those rare occations when I feel like going to the beach. The beach is clean and the water is clean. They have shower heads and faucets to rince off when you leave the beach. You can walk across the street to grab some food if you get hungry. A very nice beach, never too crowded.

Was here yesterday and it was so beautiful! Nice and clean, parking can drive you a little crazy at times but I get lucky someone is always leaving lol.

I don't know why I had never visited this particular beach before. I've always entered the beach from Atlantic Avenue, which is always so crowded. This beach is so clean and there are even umbrellas and chairs available for rent if you want ($10/hour or $40/day for two chairs and an umbrella). There's a nice picnic area and public restrooms up by the street as well. On this particular day, the water was so incredibly clear. I was out all the way to my waist and could still see my feet (I'm 5'8"). This will be my new go-to beach. I'm glad I ventured away from Atlantic!

Nice beach, they offer the chair and umbrella rental but you can bring your own. They have bathrooms and showers too. Lot across the street is 1.50 an hour to park. Wasn't to crowded

A quiet piece if paradise. Very nice beach. Clean easy parking and not many people. I am a Miami Beach kinda guy due to the clear waters. Once you you go north of Broward the beach starts getting greener and darker sand. Other than that it was nice.

Perfect beach spot for us to bike to, wish they had a bigger bike rack & really wish parking was easier for residents! Otherwise it's beautiful, peaceful & great place to plop and enjoy living here!! Love that not many tourists come here!

thiis beach is great on so many levels. Beach is well kept, serviced, and clean. Great ocean beach services, chairs, umbrellas. Logan is the best. Polite friendly and helpful.
