Atlantic Restaurant

Excellent meal with outstanding, friendly and professional service. We opted for the ‘Retour ver les Avenir’ option and enjoyed a theatrical experience of food. The highlights were an entire Dover sole filleted and served in-front of us and of course crepe suzette flambé’d at the table. The restaurant also had an extensive German wine list with quality good value options. Overall it was an excellent dinner that was well worth the cost. I would recommend this experience

The atmosphere was magical—everything was beautifully decorated, and the ambiance was enchanting. However, the amount of food was minimal, and it was quite simple for a Michelin-starred restaurant and such a “luxury” place 😏. We were very hungry and informed the staff that we wanted the food to be served as quickly as possible, but it was brought out slowly and with long intervals between courses. I understand that this is haute cuisine, but the portions were remarkably small and didn’t satisfy us, especially on such a cold and windy day 😑. The waiter spent a lot of time explaining each dish he brought, but when we interrupted him, he made a visibly displeased face, which was noticeable. At times, it felt like he was overly arrogant for a waiter. The birthday greeting was lackluster and confusing—they said they’d bring a small cake accompanied by the “Happy Birthday” song, but the waiter delivered it so primitively that it didn’t feel festive at all. The music was barely audible, playing so quietly it might as well not have been there 😬. We were also served dessert, and one of them had a black hair—or perhaps a long fiber—inside it. The plate was taken away for “investigation,” and they said they would try to make up for the mistake. Without consulting us, they brought an additional dessert, which I didn’t like at all 😬🤨. Initially, we wanted to order meat, but the waiter talked us out of it and said, “Fish is our specialty!” Unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case. The bill came to around €500 for four people, including drinks (served by the glass, not bottles).

Not only did we enjoy a very delicious vegetarian seven course menu, but also enjoyed great and friendly service. Constanze, Lars and Benjamin are a fantastic team and Andreas is a fabulous and creative Chef. Together they gave us a night and dinner to remember for a long time. A definite recommendation!

Sophisticated restaurant in a 100 years + hotel. The menu is wide and with a premium touch, nicely prepared, and tasty. The atmosphere is also special, feels you are in a different century. My only suggestion is to have stronger cheeses in the cheese platter for real cheese lovers

I love this hotel but the breakfast is 47 euros each and it’s not worth it.

Für mich ganz klar unter den top 3 in Hamburg. Perfekte Küche wird begleitet von gut ausgewählten Weinen, aufmerksamem Service, der den Kunden immer beim Namen nennt und das alles im stilvollen Ambiente des Atlantic. Gut gemacht!

Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Service. Sehr gute Weinbegleitung. Wir hatten ein 5- Gänge Menü mit Weinbegleitung für 500,- EUR und alle Fleischgerichte waren leider „versalzen“. Das ist kein Michelin- Sterne Niveau. Ich kann leider keine Empfehlung aussprechen.

Der Service war außerordentlich sensationell. Die extrem sympathische Restaurantleiterin hat wahrlich ihre Berufung gefunden und ist authentisch lustig, freundlich und professionell zugleich. Es macht Spaß ihr zuzuhören und man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Auch der männliche Kollege hatte gute Sprüche parat und war äußerst professionell. Die Hummersuppe ist so legendär, wie in der Karte angepriesen und war ein Genuss, der einen kurz alles um sich herum vergessen lässt. 🤤 Auch der Rest des Menüs begeisterte. Danke für den unvergesslichen Abend. 🥰

Alright... we knew this was the best always !!! Superb hospitality. Huge ballrooms and excellent catering. We had a fine experience visiting the interiors, not to forget the Phantom Room- where all the history of this hotel lies.. its my favorite...all time !!!

Wonderful place with great service. Enjoyed the fine dining very much and great staff added more value. We had salad, stake, Schnizel and cheese collection with a bottle of fine wine. It was lovely and cozy to watch the first snow for Hamburg. Recommend to go and get ready for a beautiful lake view.
