Hello Kitty Cafe Truck Back at Atlantic Station - Eater Atlanta

"The Hello Kitty cafe truck is back in town on August 18 doling out treats and non-edible Hello Kitty swag. Aficionados of the perpetual third grader can snack on an enormous Hello Kitty chef cookie or a lunch box filled with confetti popcorn along with petit fours, macarons, and bottled water. The truck will be parked near Atlantic Station’s Central Park from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m." - Beth McKibben

Yelp
There are vendors that sit out under tents to sell their resin hand made items, crocheted stuffies, handmade beaded jewelry, secret recipe desserts, etc... normally these Vendors are very honest, nice, and helpful.... Except for this particular one. Unfortunately I did. Or catch her name or "business" name,'but I must share my experience in hopes of possibly helping others. So she is an African American woman, probably in her late 30's or so. She's kind of quiet until you show interest in her goods. She has a lot of silver jewelry laying out. Really pretty items. As I'm looking around and shopping she tells me "all of my items are 925 sterling solid NOT plated. You can always wash your hands and take a shower in my jewelry , it will not turn your finger green or will the jewelry tarnish in a way. You have my word on it!!" And honestly I really like several of her pieces. So then she tell me $20 each! I said no, the lady down the way was way cheaper so she said in I buy 2, she will sell for $15 - $30 total. So I did. The next morning in the shower- the very NEXT MORNING, my fingers were green and both rings were ruined. I got a little curious and started googling the jewelry. I found them on the "TEMU" website for .82 cents each!!! Exact replicas! I was sick! She is scamming folks for thier hard earned money. Looking them in the damn eye and straight lying to them!!!! I will be going back there to see her again and to return her "solid .925 sterling jewelry" to her and demand my hard earned money back. She should be ashamed.

Yelp
Atlantic Station was a great place to find a variety of food. Great place to go shopping. Nice courtyard to relax in. There are fountains for kids to run through in hot weather. A movie theater. They have everything you could need.

Yelp
If you haven't visited Atlantic Station, where have you been? A buzzing hub of retail, restaurants and entertainment, I always enjoy spending time out there, no matter the reason. Also, with tons of garage parking and street parking, getting your visit started with parking your car is a breeze. Some businesses (like the movie theater) will even validate your parking! The area itself is really a sight to see and reminds me of a movie set lol. It's always incredibly clean in the streets and well-maintained, you can tell that they take a lot of pride in keeping it up. As far as businesses, I'm forever at Regal so Atlantic Station sees a lot of me throughout the month. You can also check out the multiple restaurants, the gym in the plaza, Bowlero, and some other great businesses. And if you're looking for some retail therapy, look no further! There are dozens of stores from big chains we're all familiar with and some local shops to enjoy. When the holidays arrive, it's a great place to handle your Christmas list. Happy Shopping!

Yelp
Shops, restaurants and more in this little street village setup walking center. Big open turf grass center with metal red chairs everywhere.

Yelp
Recently visited Atlantic Station's Creator's Market and was thoroughly impressed! This bustling hub of small businesses offers a diverse range of products from local artisans. I had the pleasure of supporting a few of these businesses and was blown away by the quality and creativity on display. The atmosphere is inviting and filled with positive vibes, making it a joy to explore. Whether you're in search of handmade crafts, artisanal goods, or simply looking for a unique shopping experience, the Creator's Market has it all. Can't wait to return and discover even more hidden gems. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

Yelp
Fantastic area, so many stores, local and nationwide brands, lots of restaurants, Illusion museum, ice rink, and Christmas tree. Super clean area. Very clean, safe and well maintained. Lots of tourists in the weekend.

Yelp
Great place to hang out, foodie stop, shopping and good vibes. I like to people watch, so this is great place to do just that. Parking is free for the first 2hrs. We stayed approx. 4hrs, paid $7, not to bad for city parking in a nice convenient lot. You dont have to use the pay machines to exit, you can pay when you exit. We didnt know this beforehand, and I waited in the parkinglot line for nothing. I visited this past weekend to see "Cirque Du Soleil", they are in town thru Dec '2022. We felt this was a safe spot to leave our vehicle during our visit. Tip: It get a bit chaotic when leaving a event, just leave abit early. We did but still got caught up in the craziness...

Yelp
Was taken here while I was visiting, it's really cute. If you're from Los Angeles, it reminds me a little of The Point in El Segundo. I did come a little later at night when a lot of stores were closed, but it's really cute! There's a fake grass area with some chairs and tables, some stores, a movie theater, and restaurants. Free parking for 2 hours, cute for date night!

Yelp
Atlantic Station aka AS/ASW combined Caribbean event. Love the events love the staff. Thank you Tyjana
google avatar

Yelp
AS is your typical "live - work - play" community. Been here so many times for so many things - special events, ice skating, or just plain shopping. It's a nice area and on a beautiful day it's great to walk around and window shop. You can chill on the little grassy area in the middle to stop and people watch. Some good stores and places to get some grub. The movie theater here is incredibly expensive, so I tend to avoid this specific theater. Always park in the parking deck, first 2 hours are free!
google avatar

Cosmiclady L.

Yelp
I really wouldn't recommend it. It was nice at first but now it's kind of creepy and there's a lot of construction going on. The food really wasn't that good. I was told if you can't say anything nice. Say nothing it all. I think i've said enough.

Yelp
I stopped by on a Thursday afternoon. Great shopping area with so many stores to choose from. I enjoyed my time browsing a few stores. I went into Express and Victoria's Secret before heading out. Great area for dining, shopping and entertainment.
google avatar

Tabitha C.

Yelp
One of my.favorite places to visit and hangout in ATL. Parking is free for the first two hours. So many restaurants and retailers to choose from. I love the entire vibe of Atlantic Station. I did notice that it has a different layout and one of my favorite restaurants is no longer there. Nevertheless, I still love shopping and eating here!
google avatar

Terry G.

Yelp
Nice area! Great for shopping and getting your steps in! We were able to find just about everything we needed!

Yelp
Great for shopping and lunch or dinner. You can even watch a movie if desired. All in one place. Loved it!

Yelp
Atlantic Station is a scam and if you park there be careful because they might randomly put you on a blacklist for parking fees that don't make sense. I used to go to Atlantic Station a lot and I will park in the lot below. so for this visit I went and tried to get a ticket and I was informed I was blacklisted saying that I owed $16 which meant that my car was in Atlantic Station from 7 to 24 hours and that after that. I left without paying. I have never been to Atlantic Station longer than three hours in any visit. On top of that Atlantic Station doesn't let you leave without scanning your license plate or pay which led to my confusion as to why I was forced to pay a $16 fee For a parking trip that I never had based off of rules that aren't posted anywhere in Atlantic Station. This is my experience. All I would say, is be careful, and that I will never be going there again.

Yelp
Atlantic Station has been an Atlanta staple for over a decade since it first opened. It is the quintessential Live. Work. Play. environment. I haven't been here in awhile and it definitely updated with several new restaurants like Hobnob Tavern, Bantam and Biddy, Salata and more. I miss some of the old restaurants that have closed but the new options seem great with rooftop bars. They have a green space park in the center with seasonal displays and during my visit it was Lunar New Year with a fire breathing dragon display and Chinese lanterns light show. I came here to do some shopping since they have several stores including Dillards, Bath and Body Works, Express, H&M, Victoria's Secret, Loft, Banana Republic, Pandora, and more.

Yelp
I've always loved Atlantic Station. I used to go with my friends when I was still in high school. Going as an adult is honestly still magical. Having my niece and nephews experience how beautiful it is and seeing the joy on their faces brings me a different kind of happiness. All the amazing food selections definitely helps too. It's December so it's decorated so beautifully this time of year. I almost want to go just to sit in the courtyard and absorb all of the good vibes. They also have the Atlanta Holiday lights, which was an alright experience. Luckily I was given a token to experience it. There's a little bit of something for everyone here. Food, shopping, relaxing, even and area for children. I love this place

Tammy P.

Yelp
Walked over from our hotel. What a great surprise to see the holiday decor. Happy to see variety of stores , like Dillard, Express, etc. to independent stores like The Sista Shop. Didn't get a chance to try restaurants but next time in town, for sure.

Rihana A.

Yelp
We drove by, I thought it was a tourist attraction. It is an area with food, bowling the movies with other activities. There is a parking lot and parking near the shopping sites.

Yelp
They've really done a great job renovating Atlanta Station. I haven't been here in about a year ago it was nice seeing how everything turned out. Kids were playing in the fountain, pop up shops were out & restaurants were full. Definitely enjoyed my time hanging out. I recommend for families or friends.

Yelp
I've been there before the pandemic before !! And there's small shops to go into with ; therefore Ice cream parlors are so nice in the Publix stores and we all got small ice cream there !!
google avatar

Kiah R.

Yelp
I enjoy coming here, I mostly come here to eat because they have great restaurants but they also have some pretty good shopping like the Atlanta Falcons & United Team Store is here, bath and body works, etc. They also have events and activities here that are fun and a movie theater. There is plenty of parking and it is free for up to 2 hours but if you go past that it is not expensive but figuring out where to park in the garage is a little confusing and people drive too fast in the garage. They are still doing construction so I am excited to see what is to come in the future!
google avatar

Catera W.

Yelp
Im glad the finishing touches has been added and the construction is over. I love the new layout and winter decor. I can't wait to get back to my afternoon stroll through AS during the summer. This is a great tourist attraction. I love bringing friends and family here when they come to visit. Im excited to see whats in store for the summer attraction.

Yelp
The Atlantic Station development transformed an old industrial site into a destination and bridge between Atlanta's Midtown and Westside neighborhoods. Dubbed "West Midtown", this mixed use location features commercial and residential properties, hospitality, retail, and entertainment, all in a curated and planned community served by a massive underground parking structure. As a development, Atlantic Station has become a destination in its own right, serving as an open air venue able to host festivals and seasonal events in a vibrant location with plenty of parking. But like a lot of ambitious mixed use projects completed in the last ten years, it hasn't quite reached its full potential. The slow down in brick and mortar retail which has been exacerbated by the pandemic haven't helped matters. But ultimately, in my view, the lack of exciting retailers alongside too many chain restaurants have made Atlantic Station a fairly pedestrian experience. To me, Atlantic Station needs more local flair, with purveyors and eateries that are unique to Atlanta and may not even be available in other parts of the city. Hosting events and festivals is a great way to engage the community. But this place, while nice, is pretty basic and needs to feel less like a generic shoppong mall.

Yelp
Atlantic station is so festive and full of great things to do. The Regal movie theater is super retro with big marquee lights - makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. The restaurants are ever-changing. If you don't already know, it's a great place to see a Cirque du Soleil show when they are in town. One of my favorite things about Atlantic station is just walking around, watching people, seeing how beautifully lit up it is at night. The link below should tell you everything else you need to know. Have fun! https://www.google.com/search?q=atlantic+station&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari

Yelp
meh. is Atlantic Station convenient? yes. and I do like some of the shops/vendors there. but the way it's maintained is disappointing. the parking-validation machines are often broken, which requires walking long-ish distances to a working one. traffic patterns as designed are quite annoying too. am I glad it's there? yes, absolutely. is there significant room for improvement? also yes.

Jaden L.

Yelp
This shopping mall is very good. It has lots of live entertainment such as the Atlanta Open as well as seven dollars for a parking place.

Yelp
Atlantic Station is an upmarket retail complex with department and specialty stores, a multiplex and a range of dining options. Atlantic Station serves as Greater Atlanta's premier shopping center. Home to more than 35 stores, nearly 20 dining options, and one of the larger Regal Cinemas theaters nationwide, Atlantic Station has a place for everyone. You have apartment living, shopping stores from high end to old navy, jewelry to shoes, great foods from fries & burgers to lobsters & steaks, Movie theater, gym, luxury hotels, whiskey to wine and also a Publix grocery store. Would also recommend as a good date spot too. This prime destination also hosts a variety of events, including health and fitness classes, 5K runs, arts and crafts fairs, kid-focused celebrations, and more. As a thriving urban area of entertainment and nightlife in Midtown Atlanta. Atlantic Station offers places to shop, work and even live. Lofts, condos, and apartments are available in the area, ensuring that residents can find exactly what they wish for. When you visit Atlanta or need some time out with friends and family, make Atlantic Station part of your plans. Everything you could ask for right at your fingertips. I love this place it has everything great shopping and great entertainment and food. Its like an outdoor mall but so much more. Holiday times are the best around here. The lights, ice skating and big Christmas tree is a sight to see. A huge underground parking garage space with first 2 hours free parking. Very cool place to walk around, safe environment and can enjoy the ambiance and decorations. Security guards are always visual, so you never have to worry about your cars or overall safety. It is a perfect spot for tourists and visitors to visit this little jewel in the city. I never get bored coming here and would highly recommend.

Yelp
Great place to visit and walk around. Movie theater is closed but they have a great new bowling alley. They have a ice skating ring during the holiday season. They have upgraded and love walking around with hubby and shopping.

Yelp
Ice skating at Atlantic Station. This is my first time here and there was a lot of people here. I reserved a ticket before showing up, which came in handy b/c they were sold out of tickets for the day.
google avatar

Vignesh T.

Yelp
One of my favorite areas to hangout at in Atlanta. Great assortment of restaurants, stores, theaters and gym. They've recently renovated the complex to add a super nice little green zone where people can hangout, and it looks like they're about to add some more bars. Parking is really convenient as it's free for two hours. Can easily spend a whole day of fun here

Yelp
Atlantic station is an awesome outdoor shopping area with tons of shops, restaurants, little markets, and things to do! It's all pretty affordable yet fancy.

Yelp
Was a great place to shop & enjoy the day with friends...Even has some amazing restaurants to choose from.

Yelp
Love the new renovations here and socially distanced seating in the courtyard. Atlantic Station is really on to something here!

Yelp
If this is your first time in Atlanta I recommend you visit here. Lots of restaurant and its gorgeous!

Yelp
I like this mall, a lot of good stores and eating options. They have some of my favorite stores...Express and Banana Republic. I liked that they had speakers everywhere and enjoyed the music they were playing. It was not too crowded which was nice.

Yelp
Atlantic Station is always a good time. It's perfect for a date night when you want something more than just dinner. There's lots of shopping, a good number of restaurants(I hit meehans when I don't want a wait and decent food, or yard house when I can beat the wait) and the square usually has something planned on any given day. If you aren't sure what they have planned, check their Facebook or online. The only downfall to Atlantic Station is that weekends are so crowded. Living in the area, I usually never shop in here until during the week. Prices for most stores are pricey to moderate. Parking: there's street parking for a price, overpriced compared to the garage. The garage is two hours free. There is local parking if you plan to be in the area longer than two hours and don't mind walking far. Events: they have ice skating and the German market currently. I've seen the tennis tournament, weddings, movies in the park, comedy in the park, children's events, and food trucks in the area, and that's just a small number off the top of my head.
google avatar

Jevorne I.

Yelp
It's just a fun outdoor mall. You can do group yoga in the center. We had boba from the poke place. It was pretty good.
google avatar

Morgan M.

Yelp
Outside mall on 17th street! There are a lot of different stores and restaurants here. Something really cool for sports fans is the Atl United Store. They hold different events/festivals here depending on the Holiday/Season. It's a great date night spot or day trip with the fam to hang out.
google avatar

Alexi Y.

Yelp
Checked out Atlantic Station for their daily scheduled "snow." Winter Wonderland area was decorated with lights and a tall lit tree. There will be village vendors beginning the 23rd. Tonight, there was an ice skating rink and a Santa for photos. At 7pm, flurries flew from the street lights over the people. It was a quick 10 mins of "snow." Atlantic Station is a development of condos and retail below. Therefore, it was nice to have something festive for locals as well as visitors. Although I was not personally impressed with their snow suds, they did put some smiles on many faces. And, it surprised the unexpecting. Oh what fun the holidays bring.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't usually go to Atlantic Station just to hang out, I tend to go with a purpose like See A Movie or Shop For Clothes. My husband often visits the coffee shop here for a small group he's in. We've visited Atlantic Station only three times in 5 years for other things (one time was for the German Christmas market and twice was to use dinner coupons at new restaurants). I appreciate how much of a one-stop-shop Atlantic Station is. Find a spot in the huge underground parking deck, check out all the stores you need to, grab a snack if you're hungry, and if you've stayed less than 2 hours, you get your parking for free! I really wish more Atlanta parking garages followed this model. And, if you're seeing a movie, you can get your parking ticket validated at the theater exit (remember to take your ticket with you!). Most of the restaurants at Atlantic Station have been meh for me. There is a lot of turnover, though, so take my words with a grain of salt, see what's open nowadays, and try something. Honestly, there aren't many in-town places to go for a night out that involves free parking, so why not take advantage of it! RESTAURANT RUN DOWN: Yard House : good beer selection, including lambic, toooons of food choices, the food I've tried is fine but not great Allora : my favorite restaurant here, very nice interior, good food Kilwin's : can't go wrong with an ice cream and candy shop Naanstop : I haven't tried this location, but their one Downtown is good! The Pig and the Pearl : meh, odd BBQ house atmosphere but with seafood? SHOPS: I really like how I can go to multiple shops here if I'm looking for something. In fact, this is why Atlantic Station is almost always the first place I visit when I'm looking for something specific. Don't forget, Target and Publix are also right there if you need to knock out a few more errands. ATMOSPHERE: Atlantic Station puts in a lot of effort decorating for the holidays (I love their snowflake and light decorations) and they routinely host special events like the Atlanta Brunch festival, free movies on the lawn, and the holiday kindermarket. On any regular given night, the crowds around Atlantic Station are there for a moderately priced good evening. There will be college students, some high school, and then adults and families, too. I do always feel safe at Atlantic Station, which is nice.
google avatar

Janos J.

Yelp
Atlantic Station is a pretty cool area with lots of retail stores and a few good restaurants. The parking is free for the first two hours in the underground shopping plaza. Afterwards the cost does go up quite a bit, so visitors might want to do everything within two hours. Visitors may want to stay away from here when there is races (running) as it can be almost impossible to leave the parking deck. During the PNC 10 Miler it took almost 45 minutes to get out of here. The only places I visit here are American Apparel, California Pizza Kitchen and H&M. Across the street is Target, which has their own parking spot as well as Ikea. The body exhibit is cool too, but it needs to be replaced as it has been there for a very, very long time. [Review #409] (56th Review of 2016)
google avatar

Claude J.

Yelp
Always a vibe when we go. Parking isn't the most ideal but it does exist. Love what they've done with the open area as well as the local vendors that now come on the weekends.
google avatar

Francisco M.

Yelp
Very cool village like shopping streets. A lot of restaurants and places. It's perfect to walk around and sightseeing. The sidewalks are big with speakers coming out of the floor with nice music just to give it that extra touch
google avatar

Sharon C.

Yelp
This is a pretty nice place to stroll around, eat, shop, see a movie, and enjoy whatever seasonal festivities they are featuring there. First be sure check in on Yelp to receive VIP discounts, then stop by the info center and get those perks. My husband and I had fun here and were surprised that no one had mentioned this little spot to us since we're ATL newbies. Not that it's OMG you have to go here but it was a different style place to be. We basically shopped around, ate at a few places, watched people ice skating, watched a movie all while having our car detailed down stairs. Plan it right and this is a fun night.
google avatar

Cindy G.

Yelp
Great spot in Atlanta for walking around, a variety of restaurants and shopping, including Dillard's and Target, Regal 18 cinema and trendy boutiques. Very clean restrooms, music filtered into the streets and felt very safe. Security around and actually came up to ask if we needed any help as we were looking at the directory. Parking garage or $7 valet. Street parking for $3/hour with 2 hour max.
google avatar

Clint C.

Yelp
It takes a lot of gall to have a a parking app that charges a "fee" on top of its parking fee. Absolute BS.
google avatar

Ashbeezy B.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places on the planet! Who doesn't love Atlantic Station? And what planet are you from? From namebrand stores to unique eateries there is something for everyone.

Yelp
Atlantic Station is an interesting concept. A steel mill resurrected as a work, live, eat and play destination. It does indeed cater to all of those points. A bit of history...it sits on the site of Atlantic Steel mill and the most awesome part of Atlantic Station, they left many of the old steel mill elements in place and beautifully surrounded it with landscaping, alleyways and it's pretty awesome. I almost wish they did more of that. It really does make it for a very pleasant place to walk around and the replica of "arc de triomphe" from Paris quickly became an Atlanta landmark. The pond behind it is a great place to walk and relax. Living in Atlantic Station is great, you come right down, and you have publix. Movie theater is right there and most stores that one would want. Here is the one thing that Atlantic Station is missing and desperately needs: good restaurants! Seriously, where are they? The nasty CPK? The serviceless Yard House? The horrific Rosa Mexicana (and no, it's not just horrific because of dia de los Muertos). I wish someone would fix this problem. The crowd? Very diverse. You will see some extremes. Although most of the folks you see strolling appear to be lower and mid range middle class residents (say hello to many old navy sweaters!), there is also an extreme. A good number of residents are from the local music and film industry, so there is often quite a car show in front of the Twelve hotel. Lambos, Maseratis, Fiskers, Ferraris, Porshe's, etc. Seems like folks from all over Atlanta flock here and the various events here are great. You will see some homeless folks at times, but not frequently. Everything is very clean and kept up well, streets are lined with lots of different ferns and some flowers. I also do wish that they had a little bit more of a "green building" approach. Why not have gardens on top of roofs to create a beautiful view for condo residents and help the environment? Why not have more flowerbeds? Anyways, I am getting into a wish list now, but this is a solid place to spend a few hours of your day visiting Atlanta or if you are a local, live here!
