Atlantica Imperial Resort | Best places to stay in Rhodes |

"A great have-it-all resort for those who want a ‘stay and relax’ rather than a ‘drive and explore’ holiday. Sited on a Blue Flag beach above the village of Kolymbia, this adults-only, all-inclusive, award-winning resort offers a variety of rooms to suit all budgets; some on two levels, others with private hot tubs or gardens, but all with a balcony or terrace. Whatever the price, the hotel never scrimps on service or facilities that include tennis courts, a lagoon-like pool, a gym, and a spa. There are two easily accessible beaches – busy Afandou and undeveloped Tsambika – bookending Kolymbia, 6km to the north and south. " - John Malathronas

This is the second time at this hotel which is unusual for us. We do not usually return to a resort as it is a big world to explore. However, for a relaxing holiday this Hotel ticks all of our boxes. Our welcome by the reception staff was warm and friendly. Our room was spotless. The food is beautiful with lots of choice and presentation is excellent. The Hotel and gardens are all perfectly maintained and of course it sits on a beach which makes it perfect. We hired a car and got out and about for 3 days which is why we chose to go half board. The staff are the beating heart of the hotel and they all work really hard. I would like to thank our room maid who kept our room spotless (duplex room), the cleaning staff in the public areas who were always smiling every single morning, the waiting staff and bar staff who were all so friendly and polite. Also a big shout out to the Chef and his entire team. It was a privilege to dine each night in the restaurant and we appreciated every singe meal. Many thanks to all who made our stay so lovely. We hope to come back and see you again.

What can we say. This hotel was absolutely brilliant. We stayed early September half board. As we were wanting to celebrate a special occasion we chose this hotel which would normally be out of our price range. However, it was worth every penny. On arrival we received a glass of sparkling wine, sandwiches and cake in our room due to arriving in the early hours which was a lovely touch.||Our room (1010) was beautiful. Lovely and spacious and exceptionally clean. We had a duplex room with an upstairs. There was a toilet and shower room downstairs as well as a toilet and double shower upstairs. Room could’ve been cleaned everyday if required.||Food was amazing. Different theme every night with plenty of choice even for picky eaters. Was nice to try food I wouldn’t normally choose. Breakfast had plenty of choice with lots of hot and continental options. Be warned if you are wanting a seat outside there may be a small wait as you are taken to your table on arrival at the restaurant.|As we were half board, we ate at the Street food cafe a few times. Food was lovely and reasonably priced. ||Pool area was lovely and big. No fight for sunbeds as plenty available. We managed to get the same sunbeds for most of our stay. Pool towels are available at the spa and could be changed everyday. Variety of games available to play if wanted, we did a few during our stay and the ladies carrying these out were lovely. Pool was lovely and big so no one felt on top of each other. Staff come round the sunbeds taking orders for drinks periodically which was a nice touch. |The beach is a 2 minute walk from the hotel so as we’d already got sun-beds at the hotel we just walked down without the need to take bags/towels which was perfect. We bought beach shoes from a local shop which came in very handy as the walk to the sea was very pebbly.||It was my boyfriend’s 30th birthday whilst we were there so I had emailed previously and ordered a cake. When we arrived back to our room later in the day the staff had set up a lovely display with the cake, a card and complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, which was a lovely touch and made my boyfriends day. ||All the staff were lovely and took the time to ask how you were and made it feel like they knew you. |Overall a brilliant special holiday!!

We stayed here on an all inclusive basis at the end of September for 7 nights. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel for a chilled pool/beach holiday. The entertainment is light which is what we expected and enjoyed, staff are very attentive in the evening with drinks. ||We checked in at 9 pm and were greeted with sparkling wine and sandwiches in the fridge in our room if we were hungry as the restaurant had closed which was a nice thought. ||We stayed in a duplex room which was massive and always kept very clean and well stocked! We had Molton Brown products and an nespresso coffee machine. Indeed the entire hotel and grounds were well maintained. It was lovely to see the cat area and that they are well looked after. ||The hotel is situated just off of the beach which is where we spent the majority of our time, as the sea was nice and warm, or the grass overlooking the beach. The one downside is there is a row of beds and loungers by the pool which you have to pay for and an additional extra. The beach is very close, but you cannot order drinks to the beach/there was no one taking orders and the toilets were up by the pool, but no more than a 5 minute walk. We had no issue getting a lounger though.||The hotel isn’t a far walk from a little town and church. We also used the hotel shuttle bus to go to old town, it was €12 per person return, and the driver was clear on where he would pick us up. ||We also cannot speak highly enough about the food. The first day we met with the chef to explain that I was gluten intolerant. The first night he walked me around the buffet to check what was gluten free, and checked the severity of my intolerance with me e.g. if a guest mixed up serving spoons on the buffet. One night I mentioned I would’ve liked one of the dishes which wasn’t gluten free, and the next night the chef had cooked me my own personal dish! The following two nights he also cooked me and my partner our own dishes which was so reassuring. Every morning I was made gluten free pancakes, there were gluten free pizzas made at the lunch street food bar and I had a tray of gluten free deserts brought out. I am not coeliac, only intolerant and very sensitive, and was never once ill on my stay. Indeed, the chefs always checked I had enough to eat and had enough options. There is gluten free beer, and the Greek al la Carte had lots of options. ||Staff are very helpful and will answer any questions. On check out they stored our luggage and helpfully provided a room later in the day for us to shower and change. ||A few things to make it 5 start: There can be a queue for breakfast/lunch to be seated, though the staff do as much as possible to move this quickly, and it can be busy in the serving area. There is also things that are charged as “extras” like the pool beds, and we always had to go to the pool bar outside to order drinks, there was no one coming around to take orders. On the whole the drinks were good, but we had a couple made that were not the best.||We would recommend the hotel if you are gluten free for all the food options, or if you want a lovely chilled beach/pool holiday!

This hotel is located on the fringes of the local town and near the beach. The resort has a variety of shops and restaurants available, but is not too big. ||Being adult only the hotel is ideal for couples. ||The standard of accommodation is very high and the staff were all extremely friendly. ||There is plenty of choice of restaurants, although the main buffet facility is most popular, with good quality and choice on offer. ||We stayed in a junior suite which was very clean and quiet. The only criticism related to the bathroom and shower which was annexed off the main bedroom. It has screens around the toilet and shower but no separate bathroom door and limited privacy. I’m not sure whether all rooms are designed in the same way, but whilst odd, it didn’t spoil our stay as the rest of the hotel was so good.

This was our third stay at the hotel, and we’d gladly return again. During our last two visits, we stayed in the Residence block across the road—a much quieter area of the hotel that features its own restaurant, pool and gym. We booked a swim-up room, which I highly recommend. It had everything we needed, and we rarely had to go to the main hotel until dinner time—absolutely ideal. The food here is exceptional, with a wide variety of options, which is one of the main reasons we keep coming back. The staff, especially at the Residence, are fantastic. I would highly recommend this hotel but would be a bit envious as I hope to go again myself.

Stayed here at this beautiful hotel in September for 2 weeks and wow we were so impressed with everything. Easily the best hotel we've ever stayed in. The extra touches in every department make this very worthy of its 5 stars. The food and main restaurant served wonderful food throughout our stay and we also had a complimentary visit to the modern Greek restaurant which was outstanding. Room was extremely spacious and we had the best sea view and the maid kept it cleaned to a high standard every day. All the staff everywhere were absolutely wonderful and attentive. Special mention to Andreus, Orsey, Anastasia and Soozanne as they were extremely friendly to us and went out of their way to look after me with my pink gin😁. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough for location, facilities, staff, food and everything else about it. Many many thanks to you all for a great stay.

The staff make this hotel exceptional . Everyone has been so welcoming and happy to help . |Room 1105 was very spacious and nice to have the coffee machine and snacks every day , free water and beer / other drinks was welcome . | recommended the snack bar by the spa but check before you order my Japanese prawn salad was delicious but a € 6 surcharge which i thought they might wave at the end due to missing dinner on the first night due to late arrival. but sadly not . | All the food has been everything we could have wished for definitely 5 star ( apart from the reconstructed bacon at breakfast ) |We love cats and the hotel look after 7 all friendly apart from the big ginger and white tom who scratched my partner . We brought dreamys and they were fun to play with ( I am a bit worried about who’s responsible for feeding them when the hotel closes in December . ) | cocktails were very well done , i enjoyed a few mohitos pins colada and the the expression martinis were great . ( no half measures or watering down the drinks here ) The tap beer was very day time drinkable . | A few areas for improvement The pool is not ok when you have been a while it was just too cold to enjoy and an ordeal to get in . | The pool WC is a bit of a walk from the out door area not ideal if you are a lady of a certain age I would come back if they built an outdoor WC . | The entertainment was fun some great singers . | we enjoyed the daily quiz at 3.45 . The tv had limited english speaking channels we have watched a lot of history channel and news the movies have up to 15 mint of advertising every 20 minutes which was challenging to watch . ( it wasn’t the end of the world ) |recommended the full day tasting tour of the island . | We are going home refreshed relaxed and have felt really looked after .

Me and my partner stayed at the Atlantica Imperial Hotel from the 27th September - 4th October 2025. We were all inclusive and booked the junior suite with a swim-up pool. The hotel itself is simply stunning and gorgeous - the lobby has a stunning dome with a waterfall on the wall. The beach is attached to the hotel, and the location to get a bus to Lindos or Rhodes Old Town is extremely convenient - there's also a lot around Kolympia too to explore.||On arrival, despite getting in at gone 2am, we were immediately greeted with sparkling wine and very quickly taken to our room with a smile. Snacks were there, as well as water, incase we were hungry since we missed dinner. The room was STUNNING, we were very impressed with it. A tip: if you are going for a junior suite, there is no wall to the bathroom just glass doors!||The drinks on the menus were great and there were a variety to choose from as all inclusive including cocktails, beers, spirits, soft drinks, coffee. There were a variety of places to enjoy these too such as the pool bar, Sky Bar and lounge bar. It is a shame there isn't a bar a little closer to the beach, and the same with toilets, but nonetheless the staff were always happy to help and often remembered your room number quickly!||Food at the hotel was good. We had one night at the a la carte restaurant, which we picked Ginger, and that was stunning. The main dining hall itself always had a queue going back into the lobby and there would often be a long wait for outside seating - which is fair enough - but also to sit indoors. The staff on the door did manage it as well as they could and were always lovely. We often opted to wait, but I recommend going sooner. I do think the hotel needs to re-arrange the food serving area though because it would be overwhelmingly busy with people swarming around things or in front of you - maybe reduce the stations with salad and put out a few more of the same items to spread the flow of people a bit. I found lunch to have nicer offerings than dinner too, but that is probably personal taste. ||All of the staff at the hotel were very friendly and made sure they went above and beyond to make your stay special. A particular shout out for Orsy, who was often working at the lounge bar, who is an absolute asset to this hotel. She is a ray of sunshine - always super happy, spends time asking how your day has been, and makes drinks recommendations for you to try. She quickly remembered our room number, drinks we liked, facts about us, and always made us very happy when we saw her! I truly hope the hotel appreciates the work she does and the time she spends making peoples holiday special, as she goes above and beyond. Another shout out for Keisi in the restaurant who was also extremely friendly and made our dining experiences feel special. ||We also appreciated Meira(?) - apologies if I have got the name wrong - who did activities throughout the day such as darts, quizzes, etc. We went on her walk to a chapel near the hotel which was incredible, and it was like a private tour! A big shout out to her!||Beyond the layout of the restaurant, the only other things to flag was the pool bar was fully closed on the Friday of our stay. The weather did start out very wet and rainy and windy, though this had subsided by the late morning and the pool / beach was busy. It is a shame this wasn't opened as it didnt feel appropriate going into the main hotel in swim attire. Additionally, for some reason, several rows of the loungers on the beach vanished halfway during our holiday significantly reducing the space available for people there. There were also quite a few children on the beach in the area designated to the hotel, and the decking on the sand was quite wobbly, which did lead to another hotel guest falling over. Finally, the evening entertainment felt weak with some nights being a "DJ set" that you didn't really notice. We stayed at the Atlantica Belvedere in Kos last year who had excellent entertainment every night, so maybe we expected a lot because of that prior experience. But, all of the entertainers that were there were fantastic - especially one of the singers at the Sky Bar.||Overall, we really enjoyed our time at the Atlantica Imperial Resort and wouldn't hesitate to come back - we had an amazing week staying and the staff made it an unforgettable experience in Rhodes. It's clean, modern, and plenty to do. A few small tweaks could be made to make it truly make it feel even more special.
