I've been coming here for a couple years now. Really small shop with incredibly helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I've never had a bad experience here. I'm sure for comic collectors, the selection is terrible due to the size but for a casual reader like myself, it's perfect. If you live in the area, its 100% worth checking Atomic Age out. I typically only buy the soft cover and hard cover comics and they are priced the way they should be, advertised on the back. They even have a 50% bookshelf with plenty of great finds as well!

Great little comic shop. Nice and cozy and the owner is a real super dude. I wish I had the money to buy all the toys I wanted. It's a shame that they will be closing their doors soon, but they do have some really really good deals there.

Came here for Free Comic Book day and found it to be a really charming establishment! They had a lot of different issues of different series and at great prices too! I am a self-proclaimed comic aficionado, but I am not a veteran at the business of buying or selling them, but I think the prices are good. It's a very small store, very cramped, but filled to the brim with different merchandise, comics, comic issues, manga and much more. It also gets very hot and stuffy if the doors aren't opened. Unfortunately due to the Metrolinx expansion, the store will be closing permanently after serving the community for so many years. It's sad to hear that it will not be relocating, so be sure to support the business by coming in when you can!

Great little comic shop. They had a decent selection of new runs and trades as well as various cards, figures, and other collectables. I have not had a chance to check out their back issues so opinion on that yet. There is a lot packed in to a modest size shop here. Staff was very friendly and helpful both times I have been.

My favourite comic book shop in Toronto. Really great to have this store near the Danforth. Gene and his staff have always been helpful and friendly to me. Comics selection is great, as well as the toys. Highly recommended

Owners super sweet. He ordered in a certain comic for me years ago. I haven’t even been in since but wanted to leave a good review because my overall experience there was 10/10

Atomic Age has been a fixture in Greektown over two decades or more. Gene, the owner, is always friendly, helpful (if need pre-orders/subscriptions) and stocks older graphic novels, a nice back issue bins, recent comic books and lots of toys/action figures. There is a pet grooming service in the basement, but throughout the years not once have I noticed pet smell/odors or loose pet hairs. This place is well-kept and tidy, although may be space confined. Overall, if you want to fulfill your comics needs, "Lean on Gene" to be of exceptional service!! Check out Atomic Age Comics!!

Atomic Age is a wonderful shop tucked away off the main drag. I pull my comics here, for a modest membership fee I receive American prices, bags and boards, and a point-based discount system. Gene and his part-time staff are the most friendly and approachable of the comic staff in the city, putting other shops to shame. They are also very fair on pricing and availability, never stashing away "hot" books to increase the price later, cough*beguiling, planet x*cough. The store may be small, but is packed with great stuff, and yes, there are back issues right under the comic racks. They're also liberal with the promo material diamond includes with orders, giving it away with appropriate purchases, rather than charging for the Comedian's button or a Doomsday Clock litho. Keep up the great work!

Yelp
on pape in between gerrard and the danforth. (where?) you know, on the east end, near greektown. (wheres gerrard? pape? is that in the beaches?) ....this might be the dialogue you might be having...understandable if so, because this place is reallly for the neighbourhood folks. itd be great to be a kid living around this neighbourhood and be able to pop into this place after school. its on a street that is mostly residential with some stores on it, but youd have to know the neighbourhood or be a comic fanatic to know of it. that being said, they have an ample supply of action figures; mainly superheroes are to be found and at prices a bit lower than you might find elsewhere. its a small place, so theyll have a bit of everything, with a focus on superhero and action comics. but still, there are graphic novels available and the owner is very helpful and easy to talk to. hell also order in issues that you are looking for if you want. for the sheer convenience, id come here if i knew exactly what i wanted, and because, if the price of the comic is the same as everywhere else (as it usually is) they offer one of those buy 10 get one free (there are conditions of course but the principle still stands). overall it was a great neighbourhood find and i will be back, especially to get successive issues of the superman comic i bought - if its any good!

Yelp
Looks a little run down on the outside but the space is well utilized. It's really a no frills comic book store and what one expects it to look like on the inside (i.e. very cramped). The efforts go into the merchandise and service rather than ambiance, and considering the near impossibility for a comic store to muffle that stuffy feeling, I'd settle for what Atomic Age has going. The store houses a good collection of comics and graphic novels, offering new and vintage. And of course, the usual knick knacks at the front counter. The owner is very nice and helpful and will order in issues of series not found on shelves for customers. It's a pretty easygoing place and owner was great with helping me find what I was looking for, but it's a little too packed inside for browsing. Good place to visit if you are able to locate it - it's very small and easily overlooked, and located in a mainly residential neighbourhood. Normally a place like this would get the standard 3 stars but the owner was very helpful and friendly so it gets a bump up.

Yelp
This is my neighbourhood store and I love it. They're always helpful in recommending fun stuff and treat me (and my son) really well. I certainly won't be buying from anywhere else.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of a small comic book stores, and this is exactly that. It is a little cramped but I found everything I needed. There's a good assortment of weekly comics and a small section for kids comics.

Yelp
A great, small comic book shop. The selection is much larger than you'd expect from the size of the shop, and on the occasion they don't carry what you want, the owner is quick to order whatever you need! Very friendly, supportive. The only thing i think they lack is gaming materials, board games and RPGs, but they have a lot of Magic cards and Minis and action figures - which is appropriate since they are so close to so many elementary and high schools. For a store this size, this shop is great
