Stopped in while wandering the area with a book and was happy to find the coffee and food was nice! I do wish there was a little more to the cozy corner since a lot of the coffee shop is bright and white, but that's subjective! Service is hit or miss, sometimes they welcome and knock it out well, but there have been times where I'd rather walk to another cafe instead. Check it out and decide for yourself!

Fantastic Coffee Spot! This coffee shop is a gem! The coffee is always rich, smooth, and perfectly made. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and really know their craft. Whether you're grabbing a quick cup or sitting down to relax, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Great selection of drinks and pastries too. Definitely one of my go-to spots — highly recommend!

Excellent hot drip coffee! I loved my cup so much. I came here on a rainy Tuesday afternoon and the staff were very friendly. The couches were comfy as I got to sit there and enjoy my hot cup and get some work done. I’m definitely interested in trying more coffee from this spot, and will come back again when I’m in the area :) Definitely better than a Starbucks any day.

I always come here to grab a drink/snack and do my homework. It's usually busy when I come so sometimes it's hard to find a spot near an outlet but the service is awesome, the employees are really nice, and the chai latte is yum.

To be honest, I haven't been to Atomic Coffee in a while, but any time I've been, it's been great! They have a large menu ranging from traditional lattes, cappuccinos, teas, hot chocolates, smoothies, juices, food items, and more. I've had their hot chocolate a few times in the past, and it's always delicious. I've also had the peachy keen smoothie which was so refreshing. One thing I love about this place is the atmosphere here. It's a great place to hang out, study, or to go for a casual coffee date. I need to make a trip back soon!

I can't believe I've never posted about Atomic! It's one of my favorite spots in Royal Oak. Whether you want a casual meetup with friends or a space to get some work done, it's a great location. My favorite is an iced Mexican Mocha. Make sure to grab an almond croissant too!

Not many options available for July 4th, so it wasn't surprising to see this place packed. Trendy corner coffee shop serving coffee and a full menu. Semi long line that showed some time to decide what we wanted. Was going to get both food and coffee, but they said it'll take at least 30min no matter what we ordered for food. Opted instead to just have the "Grizzly Bear" drink ($6.75). There was nothing that explained what it was, so went for it blindly. Basically it's a variation of a mocha, lots of ice, may have had more coffee than usual. Not too bad, but not substantial enough for the price. Obviously since it was a busy day, items did take some time to come out. May be better on a normal morning.

I have been here a few times and it's such a great spot with delicious coffee, and a variety of pastries and food items. The service is great, the staff is helpful and the cafe is clean. It's a good place to get work done, there is a lot of seating available and most of the times I've been here the majority of customers are studying or working. I recently got the mocha with cinnamon and wow it was excellent. The latte art is beautiful, the drink was creamy and the chocolate was rich. This is definitely a go-to spot for hanging out, doing work, and having a great drink and/or pastry.

I live in Royal Oak and I've frequented most, if not all, of the local (non-Starbucks) coffee shops and Atomic has the best flavor of them all, in my opinion. I know anyone who frequents non-chain coffee shops knows the experience of wanting to support local, only to get the worst, dirty water tasting drink of your life. This is NOT that! The coffee/tea are delicious, and they have a full menu of milk substitutes, as well as a large food/drink menu overall. I love the lounge spaces, plenty of places to work while not feeling bad for taking a teams call (through your headphones of course). The staff has always been lovely and kind to me!

7.7/10 Good ambiance in downtown Royak Oak. The coffee is good. I wish I could have had more time to enjoy the ambiance.

A fantastic local coffee shop! I got a Honey Vanilla Latte Iced, so delicious! It was a perfectly balanced coffee, not too sweet & not without the coffee taste. I also got an OG Burrito wrap for breakfast, so good! The service was decently quick for how busy it was. The interior was very cozy but also work friendly. It was packed but not noisy. The coffee came out quickly but the food did take a minute. The staff was friendly, overall I recommend!

It's been awhile- Not sure why I haven't ventured in again but Atomic is still holding it down as a veritable coffee house- so rare now that Starbucks prefers you drive thru like it's McDonalds And choices you don't find everywhere anymore Lucky Charms Latte (see pic) perfect ending to a nearby meal Still charming inside and knowledgeable staffing

This is a fun place to visit, especially if you want an experience away from a big chain coffee shop. We like to visit local shops and we have actually been here a few times. This is the first time I remember actually stopping in and staying awhile (or else it has literally been too long and I don't remember). We visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was fairly crowded but not too much that we could not get a seat. Good people watching place and good place to socialize or study. We ordered a mocha and vanilla honey latte. I had the latte and it was so good, smooth, and creamy, it actually tasted like a golden graham cracker in the best possible way, like a comfort drink. They have a little bit of food, like some sandwiches and croissants. The croissants look really good especially the plain and the pain au chocolat. I also asked about their lemonade, which sounds good, they have regular, berry, and lavender. I am very curious to try some. I am also curious about how good their affegado it, sounds enticing on a future visit.

My favorite coffee spot in the Metro Detroit area. They have great drinks and a wide variety of food choices for breakfast and lunch. The baristas are always very helpful and friendly and your coffee always comes out quickly. Also, I come here to work often as they have good wifi.

I came to royal oak for sushi but I stumbled upon Atomic coffee. As I walked in I was greeted to a friendly environment.The staff was happy to take my order and it made me want to be there. I got the honey vanilla latte and it was so good and the croissant I ordered was on par to. Overall this is must stop in royal oak .

Atomic Coffee makes their own lavender syrup, and it shows. My lavender oatmilk latte was phenomenal, and the blueberry pastry I ate was literally the best I've had since my time living in Europe. Unbelievable. I don't know if they make them in-house or what but wow. Get some. The staff was friendly and the vibe of the place was chic and cozy. Perfect place to kill an hour.

Atomic Coffee is so welcoming inside and has delicious drinks and snacks! My friend and I both love their dirty chai and they have fun little pudding cups I enjoy. It's fun to study and work here, but it is a rather busy coffee shop so it can get loud, but it's generally manageable. I am excited to continue to return and try more items on the menu!

Honey vanilla latte with almond milk is where it's at. I still give Atomic a 3/5 due to the lack of electrical outlets. For a coffee shop with such high volume and people using laptops/electronics, still blows my mind. Clearly didn't remember by first review about the lack of them when I revisited today.

Stopped in for some business coffee talk before my meeting. Love the chill atmosphere. Ordered a chai tea and it was definitely one of the best I've ever had. Heading back soon to try some of the sweet treats.

I love the vibe of Atomic coffee. This coffee shop has its own look and feel. The coffee is excellent. I had a Mexican mocha - one of the best. If you are staying, coffee is served in a mug (mucho appreciated). Plenty of seating and tables. Great place to get some work done. Bakery items and some food stuff is available. Service was friendly.

As someone who travels often for work I make it my business to find quaint, unique, or comfortable coffee shops where one is able to sit down and work for their computer while drinking a cup of dealers choice, within the visiting city. for this, I always come to Yelp as they tend to be the most verifiable, and honest. This is now my third time at Atomic Coffee and can say without a doubt, it will remain my favorite. I cannot comment on their food selection as I have never ordered, however this time around I have a delightful 12 oz. hot cocoa with oak milk. to was both delicious, and comforting to drink while working and enjoying the gloomy. cloudy weather outside. Give Atomic Coffee a try, I'm glad I did.

Slick, modern shop with lots of house-made components and specialty items. I love the Mexican Mocha - a traditional mocha latte, but with a dash of cinnamon and a splash of a house-made cayenne pepper syrup. Sometimes can be hard to find a seat - lots of single people taking up tables to work or study.

Great coffee & atmosphere. Highly recommend The Polar Bear nitro - Ghirardelli white chocolate, chocolate peppermint syrup & cream.... Grizzly a bear wasn't great. They also have tea & smoothies if you're not in the mood for coffee. Great music & a very comfortable setting. Grab a quick drink (they have sandwiches & pastries too) or lounge & do some work. You will fall in love with this place.

Really love this place. Great ambience and good service. The chocolate croissant was heavenly, especially since they offered to heat it up. Chef's kiss!

Tell your customers you charge a fee of 3% of the bill for credit cards. Don't rely on the piddly small sized sign off to the side of the register. Every time a credit card is presented your employees should easily say we charge a fee. It's crap and you know it.

Coffee is great but almond croissants are above and beyond! Super delicious they warmed it up just perfect Service was nice friendly and fast. Interior is spacious with a lot of seats, tables, couches. Everything is super busy, lots of people working behind their laptops ‍ Atmosphere is great and relaxed. Will be coming back.

This place is lucky it's so popular. The drinks are overpriced. There's no music playing. I got a hot mocha and it was cold less than 2 mins after leaving the store. They have no whipped cream in the cafe. I've given it a few tries and each time I leave wondering why I went here again. I must be missing something.

The line was quite long but worth waiting. Their latte is good and bright. It has a strong coffee flavor but is not too bitter, harsh, or dry. It is a well-balanced combination between coffee and milk. They have many outlets if you'd like to work here but a bit crowded indoor. They do have many outdoor seats without outlets. Personally, it is not clean enough so I took one star off. It might be because of the dingy lighting. Only took a star off because my takeout sandwich took 15 minutes, which felt like too long to wait on a weekday morning. Excellent sandwich, excellent coffee, hip atmosphere; appreciate the outside seating. Definitely recommend, and I'd absolutely go back, I think I'd just order ahead next time!

I decided to give their house blend drip coffee ($2.50) a try since I didn't want to splurge $5 on a nitro cold brew but it was just OK. There wasn't much of a strong after taste, and it's about average or slightly below in my opinion. My friend did get their honey vanilla latte which she loved along with a pastry. She slurped half of the latte before I even got a chance to take a picture (see below). Maybe lattes are the move here? Definitely willing to give this cafe another try eventually! Great interior and indoor seating!

One of the best coffee shops in Royal Oak. So much so that it is crowded there almost everyday. Luckily, there is lots of seating and outlets if you are looking for a place to study. They have great lattes with a variety of seasonal flavors. They also have a good selection of pastry items and breakfast options if you are planning to stay for awhile. Nice ambience, it is a very clean and modern coffee shop. It is easy to feel right at home here.

I've been coming here for awhile now, studying and just catching up with friends. It can be relatively hard to find a table if you do go during busy hours so keep that in mind. The lighting is dim and the noise level is relatively louder - If that's something you can't have while studying than I don't recommend this place. The last time I went I tried their food for the first time and I was surprised at how good it was. It came out hot and I had to even wait for it too cool down.

Great coffee and great workplace environment! I have been coming here before covid and in the recent lift on restrictions. Atomic has done a great job of following covid guidelines and sanitizing everything! They even have a table card that informs them if a table is in use or needs to be sanitized. I recommend the lavender latte or honey vanilla latte. If you are planning to take work calls this may not be the best place due to the background music.

I met up with an old sorority sister here on Sunday and ordered the honey vanilla latte and avocado egg. It came to a little over $10 and after paying they give you a table number to go sit down with. What confused me was that I didn't realize I had to pick my coffee up and the table number was just for food! No biggie but I did let my coffee sit at the counter for a little while getting cold because I didn't realize this! The coffee was good and I'm not usually a hot coffee kinda girl. The avocado egg sandwich was amazing and I only ate half and had to save the other for a different day. Big portion and filling! The ambience is cozy and staff is fast and nice. The store actually experienced a power outage while I was there so they were only accepting cash at the time and the wifi was down. They were still busy despite the setbacks!

If you're a coffee snob like me you'll love their lattes. Yes, I do drink pour overs to taste the notes of each roast but sometimes I want a latte and this place makes it just right. Baristas seemed focused and stayed busy, and I love the interior design.

The line was looonnnngggg. But it moved sorta fast ish. Only one bar, so they moved as fast as they could. I got the honey vanilla latte while my sister got the cardamom rose. Good flavors. It was light and nothing spectacular. They don't have matcha FYI. The space has quite a bit of tables and plugs! Lots of people were here to study. Wow! Very busy at around noon on a Saturday! The baristas were definitely hipster. Loved that!

Easy to find parking, great coffee, great service. Their lavender latte puts others in the area to shame. I am not giving 5 stars because I wish they had more grab and go food options and I wish the food was a little better.

I fell in love instantly with this place the moment I found it. The only downside is it's always crowded, but hey, being such an awesome place in a very strategic location, what can we expect? The place is spacious and well-designed. The ambiance is really nice for working. They serve great coffee and the pastries selections are delicious as well. Definitely recommended!

I have gone here many times and enjoyed the visit every time! Highly recommend trying it out. Area is very walkable to so you can get your coffee and walk around if you'd like. Friendly staff and good coffee. :)

OK so torn because i love the atmosphere, but the coffee is mad expensive and just okay, the food is not good for the price, and the employees are always... not rude, but certainly not friendly. i remember one time it was 15 minutes before close and they started BLASTING the worst death metal ive heard to date. as someone who works in the service industry, i get it!! get those people out!! but also it's literally your job. will i still come here? probably lol.

Love this coffee shop!! It's a great place to work and get things done. Not much seating if you were there with a big group but great for small groups or a one on one! We love their Turkey Sandwich and smoothies! Also wonderful nitro cold brew drinks with wonderful flavors!

Great little shop. Lots of seating and natural sunlight up front. My oatmilk latte was perfect! My husband ordered the Mexican mocha and to Our surprise it had a little kick. He absolutely loved it. We both ordered the sausage burritos and thoroughly enjoyed them. Well balanced flavors and spice. All in all, a great experience here.

The A in Atomic Coffee stands for AMAZING! I've had Atomic Coffee bookmarked on Yelp for what feels like years. On a whim, my boyfriend and I stopped in recently since we were in the area. I appreciated the large sign on the front door due to Covid restrictions (wear a mask, don't find a seat before ordering, etc) There was a clear and direct flow to their system, which is also so appreciative. Too many times have I gone into another coffee shoppe and it's just absolute chaos, despite having to social distance. Coffee shoppes are very, very overwhelming to me. What I loved about this one was their menu was straight to the point and their online menu was also current and updated. I ordered the iced honey vanilla latte based on the good reviews. It was kindly made quickly and the barista was quite kind and welcoming. The drink? AMAZING. I probably had a dream about it last night. For the price point of over $5 I definitely felt it was worth. Very sweet, but not in an overpowering kind of way. I'm not a hot coffee girl, so this iced latte was a win! My boyfriend is not a coffee fan, but he told me he would love to come back again to just relax and hang out. Atomic Coffee makes the place cozy and relaxing. Everyone was spaced out and it was quite clean too! They also offer smoothies, juices, and other baked delights. Don't walk ... run to Atomic Coffee! You won't be disappointed.

Went here for a coffee and a meeting. The setting was nice and inviting. The service was great and the honey vanilla latte with oat milk was perfect! I would definitely recommend. I would love to go back and order breakfast as well.
