Absolutely gorgeous little family run Pizza Restaurant Staff so friendly and welcoming and the food is so delicious, we have already recommended this place to friends traveling a week after us and they went and got the same amazing service and delicious food. It's in a lovely quiet place in the city, not to hustle and bustle so excellent to relax and unwind and enjoy a fabulous meal and a glass of wine. 100% pop it on your eat list to visit.

Google
❤️RECOMMENDED😍 It is a romantic and tiny restaurant with few inside tables and also outside in a small street without much car. You get the calm of the busy city. Staff was amazing and nice 😊 we had the Kale salad, simple but healthy and delicious. And took the 4 cheese pizza with was delicious with a very thin base! Looking for a calm dinner 🍽️ go for it and enjoy !

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming and intimate restaurant, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was cozy, with a beautifully tiled bar that added a touch of elegance to the setting. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the delicious brick fire oven pizza, perfectly baked with a crispy yet fluffy crust. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, with a generous amount of pepperoni adding a savory kick. A single basil leaf in the center provided a nice touch of freshness and color. To complement the meal, I enjoyed a glass of Prosecco Rose, which added a celebratory feel to the evening. The bubbly was crisp and paired wonderfully with the richness of the pizza. The service was great! The staff ensured that our glasses were always filled and that we had everything we needed for a perfect dining experience. Overall, this restaurant is a gem, offering both fantastic food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it for a relaxed yet upscale dining experience.

Google
This place is so cute and ROMANTIC!!! It's a bargain too. $12 for a good size DELICIOUS pizza. I've been to many pizza places in NY and this one tops all of them. We had the carbonara pizza and it was the best pizza I've ever had. This place just opened and hasn't been discovered by the masses yet. Check it out! We loved it! Quiet and romantic.

Google
Quality of pizza’s are excellent - great value for money also. Loved the perfect, intimate, yet enjoyable setting with a great variety of wines, dimmed lighting and background mainstream music. Family-owned/run, super friendly service. Highly recommend it.

Very cosy and cute new place! Love it all, the atmosphere, music, stuff and the most important delicious pizza. Definitely must to dine in!

Google
Absolute gem. Perfectly baked pizza, generous toppings and hearty service. Etna served us and she was just the sweetest. Had recommendations for bars, awesome doodles and in general top notch service! Enjoyed our evening there very much, will come again!

Decided to have my wedding reception here. The owner Alex was very nice & accommodating. The price we agreed on was reasonable. We tried the food & it was good (& my fiancé Mariia is very discerning when it comes to food—we went to several Michelin restaurants in Paris & she said they were “only ok”😆) The space is cozy & Alex said I can even help cook the pizzas for our private party in their brick oven for our guests, since pizza-making is a hobby of mine🙃 We also sampled the wines which were excellent, given the reasonable prices This is sure to become a neighborhood favorite, and I hope too many tourists don’t come (although perhaps my review will lead to that) I’ll update this review after our event in 2 weeks👌

Yelp
This is only a review of the rooftop drinks. The bartenders were supper friendly and fast with decent pours. The sunset views were spectacular. Great chill night.

Yelp
Good portions with a good cost in a trendy location. West Village is known for it's variety of food options so it made it hard to find just one spot to dine at. Glad we found this spot, it feels like a good hole in the wall that's good for intimate dinners. The menu isn't large which I personally love because it means there's less dishes for the cooks to memorize. Overall, we ordered a variety of appetizers - they were all really flavorful and classic Italian. The sauce for the calamari was good and the cheeses all melted in my mouth. For main course, we got the pastas and they definitely hit the spot in terms of price, size, and portion. Also, to wash it down we had some of the wine they recommended. Everything came really quick and they were also helpful because one of my friends had a birthday. For a WV gem, will be back.

Yelp
This is a solid WV italian spot. The food was very good and reasonably priced. We particularly enjoyed the sausage pizza and the pasta dishes (the pesto was amazing) but you can't really go wrong with anything! We also split the bottle of rose and it hit the spot. The service was ok - things were forgotten or we had to wave people down. It's also quite loud and cramped. I highly recommend sitting outside for some extra breathing room if you can. I'd definitely come back here before a night out in the village!

Yelp
Pretty decent italian food, nothing that was extraordinary but also nothing that was particularly bad either. It was a good italian eatery that cateres to the most picky taste buds. Service was a bit hit or miss, but that's just the nature of NYC dining.

Yelp
I almost want to keep this place a secret it was SO FUN! Great prices for the west village, great wine and great pasta and apps. We had a birthday party here, the staff was extremely friendly and personable. Definitely make a reservation because this place gets BUSY but it's a classic cute Italian wine bar with delicious ~well priced~ dishes. Cozier vibe inside, we had 10 people and each got a different pasta - and all were yummy!

Alicia B.

Yelp
10/10 service, food and wine selection!! Very fun and cool vibe. Our server was fantastic, she was extremely sweet and attentive! They had GREAT gluten free meal options and alternatives. The bolognese sauce was delicious!
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
I came here for a friend's birthday and we loved how affordable the pasta dishes were - all pasta dishes are $18. I got the truffle gnocchi, which was delicious, creamy, and super flavorful. They were not skimpy on the truffle! The cheese was perfectly charred on the top too. Highly recommend - I actually ordered it because the waiter said that it was one of the most popular dishes (and I can see why)! I got a chocolate souffle for dessert, and it was average - it was melty inside, but I feel like it wasn't fresh - it was giving lava cake that came out of a freezer vibes. A few things that could use improvement - the portion size could've been bigger for the pasta, the quality of the souffle, and the fact that we had to remind the waitstaff multiple times that it was my friend's birthday (no complimentary dessert, just a sparkler). But overall, it was a cute and intimate experience!

Yelp
Came here on a late Thursday afternoon. Nice tapas style Italian restaurant. Opted for outdoor seating. Service was prompt. Food was high quality and paired with some delicious wine. Would recommend to check them out
google avatar

Tracey K.

Yelp
The best part was dessert and cappuccino. The ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu were delicious. The service was excellent. We kind of laughed at the shop towels as napkins. They are super absorbent however. I got spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were definitely not homemade but the sauce was good and the spaghetti was good, which came with shaved Parmesan on top. The Caesar salad came with anchovies and the beet and goat cheese salad was delicious. The presentation of everything was very fancy! I would probably just stick to salads and desserts next time. This is a nice restaurant to visit prior to a live Broadway show.

Yelp
Excellent service. Food was yummy. Tried many things as we were a group of eleven. Lamb shank excellent as was the mushroom bruschetta. Octopus yummy. Ambiance nice, cozy, conversational. Only difficulty was with credit card payments and large groups. If I remember correctly, they could only deal with 6? credit cards with their credit system (maybe 4?). Anyway, great restaurant. Get more credit card info if you're a large group. 4 stars because of the cc issue. Otherwise it would've been 5 stars.
google avatar

Katie T.

Yelp
The food was amazing! The portions were on the smaller side, but still worth the price. Food also came out quick. Went here for valentine's day and it was very romantic.
google avatar

Madeline D.

Yelp
Stumbled into this restaurant. No regrets the food was absolutely amazing. Cocktails were amazing. And service was amazing. Definitely recommend her.

Vinicius R.

Yelp
HORRIBLE! DONT GO THERE! We went there Friday night, we got a table at the side indoor restaurant. The waitress was so so rude, as I ve never seen in my life, that we decided to leave immediately. Bad vibe!

Yelp
Sister restaurant of Cotenna which is right across the street. No storefront sign but they have the signature velvet red cloth behind the door that is hard to miss. This easily became one of my favorite restaurants in New York, the pasta dishes are absolute perfection. I will definitely come back for the Raddicchio e Polpo (pasta w/ octopus, chicory, pancetta, herbs). I swapped the fusilli with linguine but the flavors worked very well together. The Maltagliati alle Capesante (pasta with seared scallops, garlic, sage) was powerful sage and butter dish. We also ordered the fried calamari with zucchini, it did not really stand out and there weren't really any zucchini, just 4 pieces of zucchini chips. We loved the service given how busy it was even on a Sunday night and will be back for more.
google avatar

James C.

Yelp
They brought all five of our dishes before we finished the first one. The wine basic and the food was passable.
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
The best thing about this place were the crab cakes as appetizers and the chocolate soufflé. I ordered the shiitake mushroom fettuccine and was disappointed to say the least. It was lacking flavor and very heavy on the oil. The price of the pomodoro a la basilica was way too high for what you received, though it was a refreshing aside after eating the pasta. $14 for 3 slices of tomato and 4 balls of mozzarella with a spread of unidentifiable basil is ludicrous. The service was subpar with our waiter checking in few and far between. What I did like, however, was the location of our table since it was right next to the restaurant's big window. I would not come back; prices too steep for a flavor so narrow.

Yelp
Not often i do 5 stars, but this was just phenomenal. If you want a lovely local Italian restaurant for locals you want Aria. I received a recommendation and took it. Fantastic.

Laura W.

Yelp
This is a great local spot for Italian cuisine. My friend lives around the corner, so I've been several times. It's delicious food in a casual atmosphere. The service is very laid back... you can go and enjoy a leisurely meal with friends!

Yelp
Located on a cute street in the West Village - inside, a hole in the wall place (in the best possible way) with exposed brick rounding out a lovely rustic decor, Attraversa was a delight. The menu has an abundance of Italian pasta options with seafood focus although there are meat dishes available as well. I'm not one to rave about the service but I must say on a Saturday night, everything came out timely and the server was very accommodating and helpful. To start we shared: - Poplipetti Fagioli Grilled baby octopus, Lima beans - Gamberoni Polenta Head of Jumbo Shrimp Skewer, Soft Polenta For the main: - Rovioli d' Aragosta Lobster Ravioli, Pink Vodka Sauce Surprised there aren't more reviews here but maybe it's still a hidden gem in the city.

Yelp
Service is horrible. The girl who worked there con Tuesday 5/23 was rude and disrespectful. She serviced the tables outside. In addition my daughter's friend ordered the tagliatelle a la bolognese and there were black hairs on her plate. Plate was taken back and a new one brought back. How can you enjoy dinner this way? Horrible service and hair on the plate.
google avatar

Eduardo D.

Yelp
The place is really nice and the location is very convenient. Food was ok, but nothing really stood out. We ordered fried calamari, and two pasta dishes that were just ok.
google avatar

J R.

Yelp
Attraversa has been able to really conform to the new normal. Their outdoor dining set up is perfect for rain or shine, all the while maintaining some sort of ambiance. The food was glorious; the cozze, calamari and octopus where outrageously good! My main course was unforgettable. The restaurant changes their menu ever so often, so it's definitely a place to eat at multiple times. Our meal was paired with a bottle of montepulciano which was very smooth.
google avatar

Yelp
A hidden gem in the village ! It's a beautiful cozy tiny restaurant. At lunch they have a great deal . $21 for a main course, a glass of wine and dessert. To die for. Very nice location aNd super friendly staff. Will be back. Calamari is soooo good.
google avatar

Shiraz S.

Yelp
Me and my husband came to this restaurant with friends and everything about this place was totally perfect! The service and the the atmosphere was amazing and the food was delectable. I eat steak in many places... the steak over here is the winner for sure. All the steak lovers around you must try the Tomahawk steak (even that it is for two I eat it by myself lol) Definitely going back again to try more things This restaurant left me test of more :)
google avatar

Fran C.

Yelp
Food as quality. The prices are very low for the quality of the food. The bartender is super friendly and dosen't rush you out. I reccomend this place for a date night out
google avatar

Litsa D.

Yelp
What an amazing restaurant in the heart of west village! The food was exceptional and the staff was even better!!! Don't leave without saying hello to our waiter Patrice, he is awesome!! And will steer you in the right direction as far as the menu goes :) Cheers!!!
google avatar

Sandra M.

Yelp
Attraversa West Village is a strong winner. The menu is great and the atmosphere is perfect. My friend got Poplipetti Fagioli Grilled Baby Octopus, which I tried and also loved. It was so flavourful. And workers were extremely pleasant and welcoming. We will go back again.

Phil W.

Yelp
First time visiting and would highly recommend. Very small, so we sat at the bar (not really a bar atmosphere though and very cozy/small) which was fun. The bartender/waiter was great and the manager (maybe owner) was very attentive and helpful. Apps: crostini w/ ricotta and broccoli rabe - great app Calamari & Zucchini - great, but needs a bit more zucchini Mains: Linguini with seafood - great, lighter almost buttery red sauce Cavatelli with seafood - great, classic red sauce Dessert: Chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream - amazing! Tiramisu - one of best I've had!
google avatar

Candy S.

Yelp
Stopped in for one drink - 2 hours later - still here. Bar tender is amazing. Thank you Patrice!!! Made amazing cocktails!!! Then recommended great food!! Hence we just linger. What a great find. Will definitely stop in every time I'm in NYC!!
google avatar

Yelp
Best place in the city for a good food excellent prices and amazing service the guys here just makes the space a great night.
google avatar

Katie K.

Yelp
Awesome food and amazing customer service! Recommend the soft shell crab appetizer. Our main entree was the black squid ink risotto and the sea urchin pasta! Both excellent choices. Tiramisu dessert literally melted in our mouth. It's like a trip to Italy but in the West Village. 5 Stars!!
google avatar

Olivia C.

Yelp
Can you guys please ask your customers to leave at 10pm? Instead they let everyone hoot and holler and scream all night, please be responsible neighbors!!! Plus the food here is quite terrible, the smoked salmon is dry as hell. Also, when we asked if they still do bottomless brunch and the waiter actually turned the sign around to hide the sign that said "bottomless brunch $24", ugh!

Helen R.

Yelp
What an incredible gastronomic and cultural experience we had at this amazing delicious restaurant! Still deciding if the experience or the food was better... much of the experience credit is owed to their main waiter Patrice!! SUch a Great guy full of character. He immediately greeted us with sparkling wine as we had to wait a little for our table. We didn't mind given we were walk in's on a Saturday night, knew we were going to have to wait but a free glass of sparking wine doeSnt hurt. When seated were asked by Patrice if we have any dietary restrictions and we luckily didn't hAve any. Then he asked us if we wanted to play? Skeptically we all said yes and he told us to trust him and grabbed all our menus. What precedes was some of the best Italian dishes I have ever had. We got the steak which was exquisite , almost as if we were at a steakhouse. The tuna tartar starter was my personal favorite as it was light but flavorful. Then the pasta as wll, I'm not even sure if this was on the menu but we had these thing long noodles in a buttery/orange sauce (no idea what but amazing) with lobster as well. Sadly didnt have room for dessert but we will 10/10 be back!!! Merci mille fois Patrice!!

Larson B.

Yelp
Had no idea that this hole in the wall restaurant even existed and have been walking by it to/from work for the last month and a half! We sat at the bar as you can see from the photo. Very rustic inside that gives off a Roman/Parisian café vibe. The food was very well priced... pastas for $16 and small seafood plates for $14. My friend and I both ordered the grilled octopus with fennel and celery. We highly recommend! I also very much enjoyed my glass of chianti (I believe it was somewhere around $12-$14 for the glass). Wait staff are also pleasant and friendly. We'll definitely be back.
google avatar

Kate G.

Yelp
Their menu caught my eye and we ordered a feast for take out to celebrate my birthday. What a memorable dinner. Scallops with butter and sage over the freshest pasta. Outstanding Piadinas - the Marea and Diavola (we had so much food, we at the Diavola with eggs the next morning). Great sides and delicious calamari. Saved the best for last - Tiramisu...the most authentic I've had outside Italy. Thank you! We want to support more local businesses with take-out options if they feel it's safe to be open.
google avatar

Gabrielle P.

Yelp
Food was delicious service was very good and ambience was nice as well. My husband and I had some pasta dishes and the meatballs, everything was very tasty especially the pasta. We also had a dessert was very good, the panna cotta. Would definitely return here again!
google avatar

Min C.

Yelp
The truffle gnocchi sauce was to die for!! It was my first time trying gnocchi and it was great. I'm definitely planning my next visit. The service was great as well. Make sure to make reservations otherwise you'll end up sitting at the bar (like me) I want to try all the other stuff on their menu, the server informed me of this amazing creamy lobster one that I just have to get for next time! Everything was great!
google avatar

Ariel R.

Yelp
We got lucky and were seated right away after trying to go to this restaurant's sister restaurant across the way. I ordered the beet and goat cheese salad. It was very tasty but I think the menu indicated roasted beets and these were raw. Secondly, my friend ordered the tuna nicoise salad but they forgot the tuna in it. When she received it was very raw, barely seared, and was not expecting that. The drinks were really good though!
google avatar

Logan I.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and take a trip over to this Cotenna sister property. Though this location is recently opened, I doubt it's going to stay a secret for very long. Try to time your visit for when Patrice is working (I believe Wed-Sun generally). Patrice is (at least on slow nights) the waiter, bartender and apparently manager and general experience ambassador of this tiny but modern italian spot. Excellent food and great (reasonably priced bottles of) wine are expected at any Manhattan restaurant (and did not disappoint here), but Patrice made the night one of the most memorable evenings of our 10 plus years of dining in the city.
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
Patrice makes this place a 5 star restaurant! He is a gem! We did a "trust your server" menu and he did not disappoint, we got the lobster pappardelle and the branzino. Presentations were definitely Instagram worthy! And we enjoyed talking formula 1 and racing with Alessandro and Patrice. Overall, great experience! Will be back!
google avatar

John B.

Yelp
The food was ok, but the place was super-loud with too many tables, a waiter who bumped into me at least 5 times without apologizing and no thought as to a sensible cadence for serving dishes to a very small table. Just very bad regarding customer service and an unpleasant experience overall.

Roy S.

Yelp
The best pasta in NYC!! Yummy!!! We left another restaurant because the food was so bad and walked into this amazing quiet restaurant!! Cozy, quite, great service and food!! A must go to place!!!

Eliot S.

Yelp
Hidden gem in one of the nicest street in the west village. Fantastic! Great food, ambience and services.
google avatar

Mike S.

Yelp
Amazing food and some of the best service I've ever experienced. I usually have a pretty high bar for Italian food as it is usually fairly basic. The food at Attraversa was far from basic. Everything was high quality, house made, and full of flavor. Our server was very welcoming and showed great attention to detail. He found out is was our birthday dinner and provided some special drinks and desserts for us. Just a step above. We had originally stopped at another, busier Italian place around the corner, but their menu seemed basic, you could only buy bottles of wine, and they didn't take credit cards! So happy we found this place.

Jennifer L.

Yelp
racist towards people of color. we had a reservation, walked in. they didn't even ask our names or our reservation until 10 mins later. they then said our table still wasn't ready and by that time it was 15 mins after our reservation time. rather than giving us a chance to ask about why we were not treated with accommodation, they raised their voice at us. we expect to be able to have a dialogue with staff when we're unhappy with service. at no point did we do anything that warranted being yelled at by staff. we urge the ownership to have staff trained again, not just in diversity and inclusion, but also in simple customer service -- for the sake of their own success.

Robin A.

Yelp
Intimate room and not too noisy. The staff really cares about your reaction to your food. Very sweet. Had prosciutto and burrata with a cocktail. Then a kale salad and pasta with lobster and wine, followed by a chocolate soufflé. Delicious food! We will be back!
google avatar

Melisa S.

Yelp
Best italian with great price! You need to meet patrice and Alessandro! They are the best to have around!
google avatar

Tristen D.

Yelp
I have been to Attraversa on several occasions, many of which have been because of the long wait time at Cotenna, but it I don't think I will be returning there or at any of their restaurants again. A couple nights ago while I was at the bar having a drink with a friend I overheard an altercation happening between a couple servers, the hostess and a group of POC customers (two of which were African American); the group was simply trying to inquire about their reservation and were immediately shut down. A tiff began where essentially the staff was just screaming at this group for literally just asking simple questions. All the while the hostess is seating groups of all sizes left and right. As the altercation began to pass the group decided to leave and as they were walking out of the door I overheard a couple of the servers boasting "black people, ugh" in disgust. Attraversa provides fairly decent traditional Italian dining with a desert menu prefixed on racism, so I can say I will not be going back nor will my peers.
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
Our decision to come here was a very last minute decision. We had a large group of friends (nine of us) getting together on a Saturday night and needed a delicious place to celebrate our collective friendship and our great friend's birthday! When you walk in, you feel as if you are right at home. A very intimate, yet comfortable environment makes this restaurant a very delightful experience. Upon meeting our waiter, Patrice, we realized we were going to be well taken care of. Patrice provided us with incredible recommendations for our appetizers (we ordered the goat cheese and buratta specials, SO GOOD!) and wonderful recommendations for our entrees. Even the wine recommendations we partook in were delicious to say the VERY least. Upon receiving our entrees, we were passing our forks around the table with tastes for each of our friends to try for several moments. The flavors, presentation and atmosphere were all delightful and our service by Patrice was well above five stars. He was also mindful about our time we needed to be heading to our evening show in the city which added a wonderful touch! Though this restaurant is relatively new, we CANNOT recommend this restaurant and this experience enough. If you want a beautiful Italian dinner with some of the best customer service, look no further than here! Excellent, excellent, excellent. Thank you staff and Patrice!!
