Incredible place to have some beers and good food. Parking on Kercheval is paid, but don’t put coins in the meter, you have to use a website/app to pay for parking. If you park on a side street it’s free. The building is large and tons of space for big groups either outdoor or indoor. TV’s to watch sports. Haven’t had a bad beer here yet. One of the best parts we stumbled on was the Happy Hour from 3:13-6:16 M-F which gets you $3.13 beer and $6.16 food. You would think it is a small portion since it’s on happy hour but you would be wrong. This will be a place we return to often.

Atwater in the Park is an incredibly unique venue with excellent service and the beer is undoubtedly the main draw. It sells itself. I feel like this location, in the Winter, could do more to draw a crowd or promote the product - either through more social media presence, more television events centered around Detroit sports, live music events, or other ideas toward gathering and gaining business. The food is decent but could be improved as is the food alone wouldn’t lure people in without the established product - the beer. We love Atwater in the Park and wish it to flourish and be around for years to come. Cheers.

cross contaminated food Three of us came to have lunch. We ordered drinks and looked at the menu. My girlfriend informed the staff that she had celiac disease and ordered a burger with a gluten free bun, no pub sauce (contains gluten) with mayo. Requested no fries (shared fryer contains gluten). They offered to substitute with chips, but those also contain gluten so we Declined. The meal we came out and there were fries on the side, touching the burger. We asked to have a new burger because the fries have gluten. They said they could take the fries off the plate, but they have already touched the burger at this point and her gluten allergy could be triggered. Someone came back from the kitchen and apologized, offered to remake the order and gave her a free drink. Everything seemed good, but the new burger came out and had no mayo. It’s not really pleasant to eat a dry burger so we all waited another 10 min to get the staffs attention and ask for the mayo that was supposed to be on the burger. They said they would grab some for us. 15 min later, we still haven’t gotten a mayo, her burger is cold and me and our friend have only eaten half our meal because we are trying to be polite so we can enjoy our lunch together. We decide we can’t finish our meal and will find somewhere else to eat. I ask for the bill so we can get going and find food. Another 10 minutes goes by and I walk up to the bar and ask for the bill. We get the bill and the staff removed her burger from the bill and took another 10% off. In reality we didn’t even get to eat our food as we were waiting for the rest of the meal to be served. We drank our drinks and left 3 uneaten meals at the table. We paid $69.65 + the $14 tip as we don’t want to be rude. We paid $73.65 for a few drinks and half 2 eaten meals This was a horrible experience. I feel ripped off at this point. We come to this restaurant 2-3 times a month and have never had a bad experience, but after this time I’m not sure we want to return.

This was a perfect spot to sit outside and enjoy some delicious food and drinks on a gorgeous fall day. The biergarten was beautiful and we were really impressed with the quality of food. The GM took great care of us and showed the kids the brand new game room inside full of tons of board games and video games. Highly recommend checking this spot out- we will definitely be back!!

One my absolute go to breweries when I visit Detroit. Garett was an absolute gem, sassy, but one of my absolute favorite bartenders in a long time. Beers were absolutely fantastic. Garett was able to recommend beers that we absolutely loved. Will keep coming back. Just don’t touch the fireplace glass like a dangus.

The SE MI Brewery Discovery Tour continues. (I'm done counting, it takes too much effort) The building used to be a church. I personally love that repurposing. (Once saw a church knocked down to put in a Walmart! ) The layout works great: big U-shaped bar surrounded by 4-seat high-top tables. The all-important stainless steel vessels taking the place of the pulpit & choir. 6 big screens are spread around for the sports oriented. There is a room of the back of the main one with big leather-clad easy chairs & an actual fireplace. So cozy. The free parking is in the back but you have to enter from the Biergarten which is entered from the corner. So, if you or a compadre are using a wheelchair, get dropped off at the corner. The beer list is pretty broad, 2 pages, the food menu is of decent size. Got a Lip Lock Cherry stout followed by a Peach Blonde. The stout was less sweet than expected (based on nothing) but nicely balanced. The peach version of the Dirty Blonde was tasty and refreshing. Ate an Atwater Brat in-between. The brat was OK. The pretzel bun was good, the toppings (cheese, jalapeños, bacon bits) were good, too. The brat itself was the weak spot, tasted too much like a big hotdog.

It was okay. Beautiful scenery inside and beer garden outside! Ordered a cocktail and the bartender wasn't very pleasant at all. He stood impatiently while i frantically read the menu and wouldn't give me personal space while I looked. The cocktail was tasty! But it was served in a flimsy, plastic party cup and not a real glass, which seemed odd bc the beers were served in real glasses...so it made it feel like i overpaid, when in reality, the flavor was good and worth it. The pretzel bites were dry and burned. But, I DID try some of my friend's fries and they were TO DIE FOR! wish I would've gotten those!
