Best Haitian Restaurants Around Boston | Eater Boston

"Arguably one of the best spots to snag flaky Haitian pates — stuffed with saucy chicken, epis-marinated ground beef, or tender fish — is in Hyde Park on River Street. Au Beurre Chaud Bakery makes them delicate, buttery (be prepared for crumbs to fall everywhere), and loaded with flavorful fillings. Grab a frozen pack of them because you’ll likely eat multiple in one setting and want to keep a stockpile in your freezer." - Ashia Aubourg

In my opinion, these are the absolute best Haitian patties in Boston. Don’t kill me people… lol 🤣 but I’m just saying I’ve tried many and I always come back to this place. The flavor, flakiness and even the amount of filling is on point. Also, the service is fast and friendly, and they have a great variety of patties that don’t run out. You can stop by at 4pm and still get the patty you were looking for. I drive an hour to get these patties and I’m never disappointed!

I wonder if the owner of this bakery has ever tasted his patties because if he did he would know not to sell them to the general public. What I received for money was a flaky pastry on the outside and raw dough in the inside.

I used to live down the street from them when I was a kid and LOVED their bread rolls! 30 years later, I bought their bread rolls and it was the same great shape and taste!!

I grew up going here and love the food. I stopped by today just before a small rush. It's a small spot. So be prepared to wait. There are usually only 2 maybe 3 people working at one time. There is always one person in the back pumping out the baked goods. It's worth the wait. I recommend the beef or chicken pate. Good flavor wrapped in a flaky crust.
