Au Coin Berbere primarly serves couscous in hearty portions. We tried the lamb shank, chicken, and merguez sausages which were all tender and well cooked. Be aware: the service is pretty slow, so dont be in a rush to get somewhere. They dont serve alcohol, but bring your own wine is fun.
I wasnt wowed by the flavors, but the portion sizes are large and I enjoyed finding a restaurant with an emphasis on couscous. The food tasted authentic and had a homemade feel. The salade berbere was nice with the figs. For vegetarians: be sure to order the one that is vegetables with a fully vegetarian broth.
The maghrebi tea was delicious, served very hot and poured with skill.
The interior is well decorated, though there were some precariously places pots near the window side. The restaurant is close enough to Place des Arts that its very walkable.
