Excellent! Delicious food, so tasty 😋 , perfect service, very good crémant!

We decided to have dinner here on our way along the Loire based on the good reviews. Unfortunately this was not the place for us. The duck breast I had was very dry and not crispy and pink. The fish my partner had was also on the dry side. The service was very attentive though and even spoke a little English.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of Au Coin des Halles. Conveniently located right across Chateau de Langeais,it offers decently priced food menu. The menu might lack a tiny bit of diversity (appetizer and desert shared many visual and cooking technique similarities eg) but quality is good to very good. A (free) public parking is nearby.

The interior is simple, but comfortable. The service is good (including the fact we don’t speak French!) Selection of local wines is impressive and fits every taste. The food is tasty (only ribs I ordered, although looking good, were a bit simple). The sparkling wine from Jacky Blot before dinner was excellent! Good value for money.

Really good french food with great service as well. Highly recommend! Thoroughly impressed and enjoyed everything we ordered. Great michelin bib gourmand.

Had an excellent lunchtime menu here. The service was excellent throughout - friendly, welcoming and prompt. Each course was well presented and delicious, with flavours beautifully balanced resulting in an overall experience that was was an enjoyable and memorable one.

Exceptional food and presentation. Very well-trained service. Atmosphere is calm and personal. A gem of the Loire Valley.

We had no reservation but the staff kindly accepted us as walk-in in a rainy day. The restaurant is conveniently located in downtown Langeais and the staff are amazingly professional. They helped us navigate through the menu, which was handwritten on a big blackboard. We loved all our dishes including two appetizers, four main dishes and two desserts. Lovely surprise in the small town.

We were headed to Chateau de Langeais when we decided to stop for lunch first and Yelp pointed us to Au Coin Des Halles. Thank you Yelp!!! This was an amazing find. We opted for the lunch tasting menu. Yes, tasting menus take a while but we were enjoying it so much we didn't mind the 2 hour lunch break. Most of the servers spoke only French but one of the servers spoke English so she was able to answer our questions. We didn't care that we didn't understand the explanation of the dishes by the other servers. We just scarfed them down and they were so tasty. This was one of the best meals we had in France.

While touring the Loire Valley, our very sweet airbnb host (Jennifer at Les Bournais, Saint-Michel-sur-Loire) had recommended this restaurant in Langeais. We were not expecting this level of quality in both the cuisine (super fresh and inventive) and the service. This is definitely one of the best table in the region. And while in Langeais, you can also have a glimpse at the magnificent even if small castle of Langeais, as well as the very nice farmer's market, on Sundays if I remember correctly. We will come back.

Best meal in France! We have been eating at the Chateau's we have been staying at and decided to venture out. This place was fantastic! the appetizers, dinner and dessert were all delicious. Note there is no English menu so you'll have to use your google translator. We had an asparagus appetizer with avocado, tangerines that was out of this world! The salmon dinner was the best i have eaten. This is a local restaurant that does NOT require a jacket or tie, so just dress nice and leave the jacket and tie at home. If you are in the area you don't want to miss this place.
