We had dinner at “Au fil des saisons” in Mulhouse, and while the experience was fine overall, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. The menu sounded promising, but the execution fell short: the risotto was rather watery, and the meat we ordered medium came out overcooked. The flavors were decent but lacked the refinement we expected for the price range. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a proper children’s menu, which made it difficult to find something suitable for our child. The service staff was friendly but noticeably slow, and we had to wait quite a while between courses. The atmosphere of the restaurant itself is pleasant and cozy, but the overall impression was that the quality didn’t quite justify the cost. It wasn’t a bad evening, just one that left us wishing for a bit more attention to detail and better value for money.

We tried this restaurant after seeing it in the Michelin guide. We ordered salad, foie gras, fillet de bœuf, and duck. While the dishes were delicious, we found the restaurant’s presentation style to be rather overdone. Adding sprouts and violets to every dish, along with scattering red pepper around the plates, felt unnecessary and visually unappealing. We also ordered 50ml of Pinot Noir and crème brûlée. The total bill came to 132 euros. The waiter who served us was very kind but was also serving the entire restaurant, which caused some delays. Additionally, his limited English made communication a bit challenging.

I've never had a risotto that is comparable to the one I ate here. The other plates were equally good. I'd definitely come back to try out everything on their menu.

this restaurant is a real delight, the food is beautifully presented and you can tell that all the ingredients have been chosen carefully and put together by someone with real skill. The service was good after 2 very disappointing meals in the town on previous nights we were so happy to chance upon Au fil des Saigon’s
