"Trout from Lau-Balagnas, rabbit from Julos, lamb from Val d'Azun, carrots from Lézignan, dairy products from Ferme Sayous, coffee roasted in Sassis: the local-as-can-be ingredients that Mathieu puts on the plate are an invitation to Céline, the sommelier and restaurant manager, to sing the praises of the terroir. Having trained at a Bib Gourmand restaurant (L'Artichaut, Montpellier), the couple have found their way to our hearts via our stomachs, tempting our taste buds with dishes such as saddle of rabbit stuffed with spinach, wild garlic, hazelnut spoom; cod, carrots in several ways, homemade gnocchi, fennel emulsion." - Michelin Inspector
Excellent food and such a cozy atmosphere!
We went with the Classic menu and absolutely loved it. Every ingredient is locally sourced, bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared.
Highly recommended:
-The aubergine starter
-The trout main
-And for dessert: the fromage & appricot

What a find! We were four hungry cyclists on vacation in Argeles, and this meal was a highlight. The kind of place you dream of stumbling upon during a European trip. Wonderfully kind hostess who helped us with the menu and our lack of French. Her husband, the chef, came out twice to check on us. Perfect setting, perfect meal

Wonderful evening @ Au Fond Du Gosier. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed. Interesting & delicious food combinations highlighting local producers. We took the full menu and thought the price ratio was correct. Service was perfect, fun and engaging. The chef served a couple of courses explaining the dishes adding to the experience, a really nice touch.

Exceptional experience. Food served in a way you’re surprised such combination may taste so good. Perfect portions, not too small and not too big. Great service. Most pleasant dining experience, almost Michelin-like. in this area so far. All in relaxed atmosphere, no fuss just excellent food and service.

Cosy restaurant with excellent food. I particularly liked the starter with the slowly baked egg. You usually need to reserve a table as it is very popular. Highly recommended.

Smart, subtle flavors with wonderful service. This has quickly become our go to restaurant in the area. Local , seasonal produce crafted into refined dishes. Worth asking for the matching wine recommendation. A must if near Argeles.

Very nice food from dinner set menu of 3 courses. Chef was very understanding in making some dishes without some ingredients for dietary requirements, and even created a new dessert. You can tell that the staff really care about the food they serve.
Excellent service and nice environment
Highly recommended, booking is required as its small and they do not like to crowd the restaurant.

Great restaurant and fantastic meal to end our holiday. The staff are so nice and helpful. They were fully accommodating for dietary requirements and took this very seriously. Booking is essential but easy to do via email. The food was excellent and easily the best meal we had all week.

Yelp
We found a lot of good reviews of this restaurant. We booked a table for two and off we went!
The reception was immaculate, really friendly! We were seated a table and a few moments later other people were denied. We were lucky to have the last table!
The food was really good and so was the wine. This place is a bit pricy but worth it.

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant was great. Food was local, great combination of flavours, beautifully presented & delicious. Friendly staff taking time with their guests. Fine food, in an interesting bistrot & reasonably priced. This was a great discovery - we'll be back !

Yelp
Only for meat eaters. We called to see if they could accommodate a vegetarian - the person on the phone said yes. When we got there the owner rolled her eyes, said she had nothing for us and rudely ushered us out fighting with my husband the whole way.
