Highlights

Warm rooms in a laid-back hotel facing Canal du Midi, plus a restaurant with a terrace. In a bright building across the street from Canal du Midi, this informal hotel is 10 km from both Béziers railway station and medieval Béziers Cathedral. The 4 warm rooms provide Internet access, flat-screen TVs and whirlpool tubs, plus living areas with sofabeds. Some have exposed wood beams. An understated restaurant features a leafy terrace and a striking image of the canal. Breakfast and parking are available.

"Adjacent to the Canal du Midi, this lovely yellow building seems to shine, especially when the lush green garden (with terrace) is bathed in sunlight. Fully inspired by the Mediterranean, the cooking lets the ingredients enjoy the limelight and exudes the flavours of the South of France. Do not hesitate to book one of the elegant guestrooms upstairs." - Michelin Inspector

We stayed here in two rooms for 6 nights. First night they locked us out at 10:30pm without showing us where the access code pad is (it’s on an unmarked next door building) First night we had 2 coffee sachets, second night we had one, after that we had none. They stopped clean in the rooms after day 3 and we had to ask for more toilet roll as they weren’t checking basic supplies. Both rooms had bath tubs but in one the plug didn’t fit so you couldn’t fill it, and the other there was no water supply. Both rooms had Air Conditioning but neither worked. Annoying as if you opened the windows you got the fumes of the bar manager chain smoking or revving his motor cycle (Harley Davidson hat, T Shirt, jacket, posters, bike. It looked like Harley Davidson had thrown up on him). Very disappointing given how good the restaurant is (both staff and food)

Beautiful large room, quiet and pleasant. Room (sesame) was large, jacuzzi, shower, sofa, mini bar. Very well appointed. Check in super smooth friendly, although mostly pure French language. Breakfast included and convenient parking on grounds. Restaurant is very good as well.

Exquisite three course meal for only €35. Staff went above and beyond - my wife was pregnant and they cleverly adapted the menu to suit her. The cheese trolley is to die for and has a choice of 19 pungent creations. Will be recommending to all our friends!

Super experience Our first time here, but definitely not our last. We were early, which wasn't a problem. Great table overlooking the Canal du Midi.... Service was polite, efficient and pleasant The food was wonderful 😋 Perfectly cooked, well presented and good choice of flavours.

We only ate at the restaurant so cannot comment on the Hotel. The service was superb the standards were Michelin quality with lots of serving staff and all knowledgable. The Rib of Beef was incredible cooked to perfection. Good choice of wine where many restaurants in the area only serve local wine. If you can get a reservation I thoroughly recommend it.

Excellent quality, friendly staff, not a budget meal but go for a fine dining experience which is good value.. we paid 85 euro for two .. 3 course menu plus wine , very much worth it. We stayed further along the canal|so rode our bikes there and back- lovely experience.

Enjoyed a delightful meal at Au Lavoir on a sunny evening in June. The location is great, beside the Canal du Midi, and with a shady outside dining area.||||The service was nicely attentive and friendly and the food delicious, especially considering it was only €30 each. ||||Foie gras and Spanish ham with an avocado/gazpacho mousse, followed by steak (with exceptional chips) and cod with chorizo, followed by raspberry tiramisu. All beautifully prepared and presented.||||All in all a lovely meal in a great setting, with terrific staff.
