Lovely place, amazing bread, good atmosphere and really friendly service! As a European, it made me feel like I was back at home!

We ate a bit of the croissant before remembering to take a picture. They were very good. The latte was huge. The owner was very nice.

We stopped in town for a coffee and a treat. We were not disappointed! The coffee was delicious and the baked goods are yummy. The service was excellent. We would highly recommend checking this shop out.

Third time is a charm. We found ourselves coming to Rivière du Loup in 2018,2019 and now 2020. Both times the bakery was closed (they are closed Sundays and Mondays). Now we’re back, this time on a Tuesday and hurray, it’s open \0/
Delicious ham and Swiss, croissants and bread varieties!

We took sandwiches, it was good but nothing extraordinary and a little overpriced, 16$ for a croissant garni and a ham and cheese sandwich.

The good: the only good thing was that the bread was lovely.
The bad: they had no milk left to make latte at 1pm on a Monday. They had no orange juice. The "poached egg" was microwaved. The "fresh fruit parfait" had no fresh fruit: this one we complained about and were told the fresh fruit was in the granola. We kept eating thinking it was maybe small chunks at the bottom. No, they meant the raisins.
All in all, not great and not recommended.

Yelp
Perfect little bakery for breakfast and lunch. The ladies behind the counter are charming and happy to help with big smiles. The croissants are fantastic, when you buy a croissant anywhere else you hope they taste as good as these do!!!
Order your food then sit outside beside the sidewalk and watch the people pass by, it's a nice way to enjoy your lunch and espresso.

Yelp
This is a charming spot with a few tables next to the sidewalk. The bilingual staff humoured me as I tried to practise my french as I ordered. My cafe au lait was served in the large bowls with a heart-shaped sprinkling of cocoa powder. I stopped for breakfast and ordered the herbed egg which was a poached on bed of greens. It made for a wonderfully civilized way to start the day.

Yelp
I was in town for business and had a few minutes between meetings. Instead of opting for Tims, I decided to try something local and was very pleased. A quality latte and pastries in a small, quaint setting -- and centrally located. Well worth a try!

Yelp
The parties and sandwiches were welcome after a hard day of window shopping. Nice espresso was had by all. Wonderful bi lingual counter person from Florida. A pleasant addition to the. Business .
