Just couldn’t be happier than our choice to stay at Au Petit Hotel. They were so quick to answer my questions before arrival and checking in was smooth. Just great service. Studio room was quaint, exceptionally clean and included a coffee maker, small fridge, microwave and dishes. Room was refreshed each day. Location was great. So glad we found this gem.

This hotel is good. Very clean, very quiet and the location was perfect, you can go up the hill to the more modern restaurants and the point Louis, and then downhill into the heart of old Quebec (where hotel is also located) is everything else. is it the ritz? No. But for the price you pay, for where it’s located, it’s a no brainer. The staff were super friendly. ||Our room was tiny, but we only slept in there, so was no issue. My husband was unhappy at having to go up 3 flights of stairs with no lift/ elevator, but I felt it was fine, and others have said it was tight, but we thought it was fine.||Now, there were lots of messages about the parking. The parking for us was not full, but we felt it would have been fine. We took an actual photo for reference for people to make their own minds. We drive a pretty long Rav 4 and it was fine! Parking was $15 Canadian.||Would definitely stay here again.

Older hotel but in good condition. Excellent WiFi, in room coffee. Walk up so be aware of how much luggage you bring. Short walk to the waterfront park area. Lots of restaurants in the area. Limited parking for very large cars/SUV.

This was the cutest place ever. Located in a very convenient spot with good access to everything. Meanwhile, the location is in very cozy and quiet place. The place was super clean and well equipped. There was a nice balcony with chairs to sit and hang out. The check in/out process was smooth and staff were friendly, helpful and respectful. The place was spacious enough for two people. Perfect air conditioning. Enough sun light from two windows on both sides. Overall, I would recommend.

What a great a boutique hotel. The desk clerks were lovely and, while we are probably very low maintenance, everything felt homey and perfect. *One caveat - it is a 4 story walk up, so, if you aren't comfortable with fairly steep stairs, make sure you request the ground floor. We happen to like the exercise. 😁

I stayed 6 nights at Au Petit Hotel. I was in the smallest room, off the little courtyard by the parking lot. The pluses: absolutely FANTASTIC location, quiet, safe, cheap, and the staff were all very helpful. As a solo female traveler I felt 100% comfortable here. My goal was an economic homebase to basically just sleep at and store my luggage as I explored the city and beyond, which Au Petit delivered on. The price to pay for convenience and cost is comfort- even though my room was tiny, it was perfectly functional, no complaints there. Loved the stocked coffee pot, and all the bathroom toiletries. The only con was the bed- it was horribly hard. May as well be sleeping on the ground. I read that in a few other reviews so was somewhat prepared for it, and asked for extra pillows, which I then slept on top of to make it a little more comfortable. If they updated the beds I'd tell absolutely everyone to stay there. I'd still recommend it to an economy minded person- again safety and location were phenomenal, but next time I might be willing to spend just a little more per night to stay in a hotel that didn't give me nightly backaches.

Yelp

Yelp
Nice unpretentious hotel in a good location with helpful, friendly staff. Free wifi, air conditioning, no elevator, paid parking, Breakfast, which is not included in the cost of the room, was an additional $2.50 per person. It was brought up to our room at a time of our choosing. One thing to note: the hotel is walking distance from the train station but it is uphill all the way.

Yelp
I agree with the previous review. The hotel is simple and without the frills found in more expensive hotels/B&Bs. We were looking for a relatively economical hotel to stay and this one met our expectations for value and location. It's located within the walls of the old city, and is a short walking distance to many of the restaurants, stores, and attractions Quebec City is known for. It's a short and cheap taxi ride away from the VIA train station. It's also a short walk to the bus station (RTC), which, for $3 CAD, will take you outside Quebec City for other attractions. The breakfast was cheap and well worth it- comes with croissants, bread, assorted fruits, orange juice, and coffee/tea/hot chocolate. The owners are very nice and helped us plan different activities.

Yelp
On our recent road trip to Quebec City, we had no idea where we'd stay, but we stopped at the information.welcome center when we crossed into Quebec Province. How surprised we were to find they could find and book a hotel for us right there! They showed us different price ranges, and told us what to expect from each hotel. The one we chose, Au Petite Hotel, though having been listed as two stars because of lack of certain features, was fine enough for us as we didn't need a pool, or an elevator, or a restaurant on site. We just needed a clean place to sleep, and what we got was an attractive, charmingly old, small hotel, family-owned, and in a good location. To park our car on site was another cost per day, but we didn't mind. We were glad to have a place to park and leave our car as we planned to walk everywhere, anyway. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we extended our stay at the hotel for another night. For an extra small cost, breakfast was brought to us each morning -- croissants, toast, orange juice, assorted sliced fruits and coffee (or tea). We must have left a light on in our car. When we packed up to leave, our car would not start. The hotel owner helped us get it started. I just can't thank these people enough for making our stay in Quebec City so pleasant. And, we loved the comfort of the bed we had in our room. On the night we arrived, we opened our window and we could hear Sir Paul McCartney singing in concert on stage over on the Plains of Abraham, not too far from where we stayed.
