Au Pois Gourmand restaurant terrasse gastronomique

The food is good but the naming is misleading. The appetizer I took is œuf onsen. But I highlight doubt they cooked this in the hotspring as the name suggests. It’s actually close to œuf parfait. And the fish I ordered is with shiitake mushroom but maybe it’s a different variety but I can’t taste the strong distinct taste of shiitake.

Me and partner went for the discovery tasting menu on the last night of our holiday. A fantastic treat overall. The food was incredible and the location was sublime. Service was great - we felt timings were slightly off. We ordered cocktails to start but the first course and wine pairing came soon after so unfortunately could not enjoy the cocktails in our own time and one of the wine pairings came late. This didn’t take away from the overall experience though. The servers were all lovely and attentive but not overbearing. Favourite dishes included the velouté and smoked haddock & mimosa egg. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Nothing to say but fantastic 😍 the food, the place the service, le sommelier ! Made the evening fun and relaxed with his tales and good humoured expertise. The surrounding, la Garonne at dusk, the service, the high quality of each dish made that birthday celebrations evening one to remember!

The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and very kind staff. The service was excellent, they always keep an eye on your table and you don't even need to ask for anything such as extra cutlery or bread. We ordered a nice menu including starters and dessert. I drove 5 hours from Bilbao to there and it was worth it! Nothing to say about the taste and the visual of the plates they offer... Everything was awesome, many thanks for the experience.

Happy birthday to me ma de so special by dinner here by the river. We arrived early but that was no problem .. everyone tried there utmost in speaking English to us. The menus were explained and the food was amazing. A truly memorable trip and if we come this way again we will come back with friends. From our waiter, waitress superb service and our wine guru was just fantastic xx thank you for such an amazing night.

Absolutely outstanding restaurant. I went to a work lunch here and informed the staff that I had an urgent meeting to attend which meant we were in a bit of a rush. They couldn't have done more to facilitate this and make the meal feel special. I really appreciated the service but the food was also delicious and also the environment inside and outside the building was also very nice indeed. Many thanks.

Phenomenal meal in every respect. The restaurant is set in a beautiful older building, our table was on a porch overlooking water. The service was perfect in every respect, attentive and knowledgeable but not hovering. And the food is truly wonderful. You choose between several set menus. We chose the vegetarian option. Every dish was creative offering complex complementary flavors and all of the presentations were works of art. It was the perfect meal for our last night in France.

Lobster menu and summer menu were both very good! Service was also very friendly and tried their best to introduce us the food in English. The only thing didn’t went well was we sat too close to the river for the view but instantly became mosquitoes buffet within 5 seconds.

The place is very nice, outside of the city with nice terrace and waiters are very professionals. The food is a design menu with the fantastic mix of flavours and all server very good. The selection of wine is very impressive.
