This fine Auberge has just three rooms and is situated in the countryside to the west of Brest. Just outside the village it is down a short track which, although unmade, is easily traversed by car. The whole place has a very rural French air, and the decor is very eclectic with books and objets d'art scattered around. Our room overlooked the garden with views of the river and the en suite was very modern although compact. The garden is bounded on two sides by the estuary and a small river. The river is tidal at this point and so the river has an ever-changing appearance. There are lots of birds on the exposed river banks at low tide, including egrets and herons.||You can also eat here, but book ahead, and don't expect a meal on Mondays as they don't open the kitchen then. There are a couple of restaurants in the village which is a 10 minute walk only away. (We used the Jardin de L'Aude, review of which is available).||All in all a lovely experience, but a better understanding of the French language would have helped us. Also they prefer cash although a card machine is available.
