We stayed here a single night and had dinner in the restaurant. ||||On a 2 week driving tour of France (albeit with 7 nights in a gite) this was by far the best hotel.||||The room was modern, fresh and wonderfully quirky in its shape. Despite being at the front of the hotel we had a restful night's sleep and an excellent breakfast in the morning. The only downside to the hotel is the lack of dedicated parking and need to pay for roadside parking. But even on a hot and busy Sunday afternoon we had no trouble finding a spot close to the hotel.||||Wi-fi is free but was not overly strong in our room.||||The restaurant is wonderful. Clearly the kitchen/chef takes great pride in sourcing its produce and the waiting staff are well versed in describing the details of each dish. From the amuse bouche to the dessert we were delighted with a range of tastes and skill in presentation. My lightly grilled oysters with 'sea foam' were wonderful, my wife's soft boiled egg (sounds dull, but it wasn't) also very good. Main courses were inventive (not all of it worked, but I can forgive that; the pickled cabbage was not the best accompaniment to my fish and the sauce with my wife's plaice was perhaps too strong tasting for such a lightly flavoured fish, but the sauce was supplied separately, so could be adjusted in quantity).||||Service was attentive yet unobtrusive and very professional.||||You have to try this restaurant (and stay at the hotel to avoid any need to either drive or even walk too far afterwards).
