We were looking for an alternative to staying in or near Mulhouse on the way down to Italy. In a lovely setting not that far from the main road so a good choice for that. The hotel is much prettier than the photos, it has a 60's feel but it is not old fashioned at all. it was busy when we were there apparently and our room overlooked the building/garden works over wise would have been nice to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. The room had good facilities, clean, comfy bed apart from the lumpy duvet which quite honestly should have been put in the bin. We booked a table for dinner but enjoyed an aperitif on the balcony first. When we went to the restaurant we were shown to a table which wasn't laid for dinner. Service was slow but we weren't in a hurry. Good practice would have said lay the table straight away but no it came in dribs and drabs. Starter of mussels were extremely salty, I cook mussels frequently they do not need to be that bad. Second course much better, champagne lovely, declined dessert but ordered coffee which never arrived. No staff around so went to bed. Slept fairly well except the fire alarm went off so got up to evacuate but told by a guest? That was OK to go back to room. The breakfast was good, plenty of choice for a continental. When we checked out there was a half hearted apology for the none arrival of coffee after dinner and apparently a guest had been smoking in their room which had set off the alarm. I did not expect an apology for that but a sorry that you night was disturbed would have been appreciated.
