Went there for dinner in the summer. Beautiful gem in Hudson. The food was deliciously prepared by the talented chef Danny Smiles. The service was great and very friendly. The atmosphere was nice and fun. Strongly recommend this place!

Whether it be the comfortable vybe or the overall inviting setting, there's just something special about old French-Château style cottages, now, what if you were to dine in one? It is exactly the case here at Auberge Willow Inn, where one can expect to find a very friendly staff at your service, treating you like one of theirs. Warm decor, seasonal menu, absolutely fresh and wisely chosen ingredients, beautiful choices of plates and entree along with a grand variety of liquor for your personal drink/cocktail of choice. Their staff are very knowledgable, rapid and efficient service, always cool, smiling and laughing with ya. All of this above, is what makes the Willow Inn, a great experience to remember. @yumyum.finesse :)

I had high expectations for this place and was disappointed unfortunately. Especially given the price. We were a group of 6 for a birthday dinner. The food was bland and lacking in flavour. The service was really good I will say that. Oysters were tasty. The shrimp were quite small for the price, and the sauce for the croquettes didn’t taste like anything. Had to ask for pepper to add flavour to the cavatelli.

Let’s start with the service! Very bad and the staff were so under qualified! I ordered my 7up for about 5 times and they served it to me after 20 minutes even though the place wasnt crowded! Ordered the fish seabream i give it a 7/10 . The crevette matane was smelly and it caused a stomachache to one of my friends. My husband took the burger he gives it 8/10 but the fries were like 0/10 burnt ! The fried cod was very good but the menu is very limited and most items were unavailable! I wont go back again cause i was very disappointed with the service!

We went here for brunch last weekend. We arrived quite early so Chef Danny Smiles was gracious enough to give us Table 55 which has an outdoor panoramic view. From the service to the food, everything was impeccable. We truly enjoyed our time and we would keep coming back. Also, those pancakes were divine!

We were a group of 8 for the family style lunch. The food was amazing from oysters to lobster roll, etc. We all loved everything and will definitely be coming again. Highly recommended.

Went for a date night with the hubby at the restaurant (2nd time here). Delicious food! I had the swordfish, he had the St-Ignace quail. My fish was cooked just about right; the meatiness was there, not chewy at all. Hubby enjoyed the quail especially the cream of corn that went with the dish. Great combination on the plate. We also had the broccoli with lard, croutons, and padano cheese - lovely dish! Great flavours, cheese wasn't overpowering. We ordered Paris-brest for dessert and what a treat it was; classic hazelnut flavour with the right amount of crunchiness to it. Servers were attentive. Our table is always clean, water is served, and we were always being checked by our waitress. Great ambiance - the water view is a bonus. We'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Good service and quality of food excellent. Wide array of upscale dinning with out the stuffiness of a restaurant with the quality it represents.

Yelp
Guess who's the new chef in town ? Danny smiles ! So stop reading reviews that are older than this summer... This Auberge just took a turn for the best of the best ... quality, taste and presentation all A+ Hudson is definitely a place to check out .. this place has a great terrace and beautiful sunset Menu is broke into bites , appetizers, main and desert The two main fish were excellent.. halibut with mushrooms "chanterelles" was the winner! Sword fish was more simple and if u like a meaty fish u won't be disappointed.. actually you'll love it. As for the special .. we had the squash appetizer! If it's still available .. take it ! Great selection of wines Abed cocktails.. they do have a few IPAs ;) All in all .. I would definitely recommend it and encourage to dive the extra mile or two Or three

Yelp
We reserved table for 19:30, we got there at 19:00 thinking we could sit at the bar until our table would be ready, but no, we were told the bar is reserved! There were two people sitting at the bar eating, what gives! We were told our table was ready but then told it wasn't, we were instructed to buy a drink at the bar but would have to pay right away and then could sit at the lower deck and wait until 19:30 for our table. The bartender was polite and helpful, you could see he cares about his job. To get to the lower deck you have to walk through the upper deck where our table would be situated, On the way to the lower deck I noticed there were 3 tables with nobody sitting at them. At 19:25 my wife inquired if our table was ready, yes it was and it was one of the 3 tables that were empty, they made us wait 25 minutes for nothing. (Co-ordination missing here) Menu, Since Danny Smiles took over, the menu is lacking vegetables, the only vegetables available were potatoes and only once choice of salads! The food comes out of the kitchen pretty quick, my wife had oysters and I had the salad, we ordered the sea bream for two, it was good, we had to ask for a small fork for the oysters and Salt & Pepper! We ordered a second glass of wine half way through our meal and it never came, we had wait for bill and when it came they calculated the tip by including the sales tax, we asked for that to be corrected, calculate the tip on the un-taxed subtotal. The place lacks management and servers. The hostess has two jobs, hosting and serving, she asked me on the way out how things were, I responded "Never again" This was our second visit and things reman the same, our first visit this year wasn't that great also. It's too bad because the place used to be good. :(

Yelp
The food was delicious, the wait staff excellent, and the ambiance great. But when I pay $91 for a steak (for2), I expect it to not be full of fat. I expect to get more than 4 pieces of bread for $6, and above all, with a "Wall of Chefs" chef in charge, I expect a little better presentation of the food. The steak came sliced on a big plate with some peppercorns for company; no mushrooms, no greens, no garnishes. No spoon for the sauce: we had to dunk the pieces of steak into the little bit of sauce on the communal plate to get any. Weird. For the price, I would have expected the waitress to serve our portions and sauce appropriately. The Willows has always been a fun place to eat and with Chef Smiles, the flavours are definitely where they need to be. Tighten up the presentation, trim the steak of excess fat, and then maybe the prices on the menu will make sense.

Yelp
Service was fantastic. Menu is completely overpriced, very small dishes. Ordered the charcuterie board as an appetizer... and 10 slices of prosciutto came out? Would not return.

Yelp
Been here a few times. Used to have music outside in the summer. The food could use a major makeover. Nothing on the menu is healthy.

Yelp
We have had this restaurant on our "To go " list for awhile (it's a 1 hour drive from us) but never got there until last night! We were so pleased with the surrounding area....lovely view and lush greenery! It was a humid evening so chose to eat inside. The space was splendid! New decor and furnishing that we're very comfortable. There was a good selection on the menu and the four of us all ordered the Ribs. The wait was not long and we were all served at the same time....pipping hot plates of thick juicy tender ribs and lovely old fashioned fries! This is a Go To restaurant. It certainly exceeded our expectation and we are looking forward to another visit before the end of summer!

Yelp
Rather ashamed to say, as a lifelong Montrealer, this was my first visit to the Willow Inn. I had heard rav reviews and I am happy to say, that I agree. We arranged to visit for lunch, on one of the hottest, most humid days thus far. Our choice was the terrace; it was full and as it was an extremely hot day, my companions and I chose to order drinks while waiting for our table. We took advantage of the Adirondack chairs by the water. We were treated to wonderful scenery and cooling breeze. We waited about 20 minutes for our table; definitely not a long wait and considering the ambience of the waterfront, not a detraction, at all. I chose the calamari salad; the calamari was quite tasty however, a heavy hand was used on the dressing and there was too much arugula, in my opinion, however, over all, it was quite good and I have no regret for the order. One companion chose the shrimp cocktail and was very happy with her choice. Our other companion went with a heartier offering; the chicken club sandwich and pronounced it, delicious. Lots of cheese, the fries were perfect and the seasoning en pointe. Staff was friendly, helpful and professional; we will, definitely, be returning. In fact, we may take advantage of an overnight stay. The Willow Inn should be on your "must visit" list.

Yelp
Got a last minute 5pm dinner reservation to have a family dinner, including my 97 year old mother. Let me start with how tremendous the service was. We arrived in the pouring rain. I was trying to get my mother and her walker up the steps (didn't notice the handicapped ramp) and a strong gentleman rushed out the door to help me. Once we got to our seat waitstaff offered to move the walker to provide more ease of movement for all. But we're very attentive to run and get it when we were prepping to leave. Staff were Very well versed on the menu, answering all of our questions intelligently and offering excellent suggestions. The food came very quickly (too quickly?). It was beautifully presented and arrived piping hot. We all ordered different things. I had the cod. Very lightly breaded, delicious smashed y peas (I know, who can believe peas and delicious are in the same sentence!), Lifht and tasty curry mayo and fries. Didn't love the fries but everything else was delicious!!! Others had Tomato tart and raved. Beef tartar, not my favourite was second to none according to my brother. Thank you for a beautifully served, delicious meal. What a spectacular treat after the long months inside!

Yelp
This is one of the nicest place to get away only 20 mins away from Montreal. The scenery is relaxing and makes you feel your on vacation. We visit for brunch or drinks and meals, affordable menu.

Yelp
The Willows has reopened and is excellent. It is not like the old Willows, that is to say it is not frozen pub food. It is fresh and very tasty. It has been accused of being expensive by local haters, but you get what you pay for. This restaurant was closed, bought and the present owners invested $$$ to update it and give us an excellent area restaurant. The food was exceptional and the service excellent. If you are looking for a place out of Montreal, on the water, this is a sure bet.

Yelp
Fish n chips are always are very good. Waiter was very gruff and not very pleasant. Need more professional and welcoming staff. They may need more competition as they appear complacent.

Yelp
Complex yet unfussy food prepared with an uncompromising level of care and attention to detail. One of the best meals I've ever had.

Yelp
As a local resident, I was excited to finally try out the new Willow Inn and its new menu yesterday evening. Unfortunately, in the end, I was very disappointed with the food and service . I was accompanied by a couple of family members and we each had a different item off the menu. To describe the food in one word, I would have to say it's: uninspired. The pork ribs were dry, the steak was plain and the lamb loin was tender and tasty enough, however, was served on a simple bed of peas. It looked more like an appetizer than an entree. For the price points the Willow is asking (which also seem high), I expected much more. The server was nice enough, but, again, seemed uninspired and lacked attention to detail (empty beer glasses and wine glasses went empty until we had to flag her down to ask for another drink). The final disappointment, came when we were interested in ordering dessert. I was in the mood for the chocolate molten cake and my family members wanted to share the apple pie dish, however, we all ended up passing after the server informed us the kitchen doesn't offer ice cream (we were looking forward to having a scoop of vanilla with both choices). Too bad. Hope this review is constructive- as a local resident in Hudson, I'd love to see the Willow succeed. The location and view is second to none, the food and experience should be too.
