Aubergine Food Truck

I'll tell you one thing about food trucks; almost all of them are of the same nature. This truck was one of the luckiest gems I've ever stumbled upon in my lifetime. I was craving shawarma and happened to have gone to a pumpkin patch field nearby prior and wow at the combination of tastes that hit me after the first bite!!! Come to find out this truck has a weekly menu that changes and you can enjoy yourself a plethora of ethnic Egyptian meals. This is not something ordinary, I'll tell you this firsthand the hardest thing in finding actual middle eastern food that isn't your common Turkish or Persian place is rare in NY. The husband and wife running this truck makes it that much more a pleasure to come back to and give future business over and over. Do yourself a favor and check these guys out...

Man what an afternoon of decisions lol. I finished work at 1 and had a hard time deciding what to get. It was Mariam’s cafe or Tacos Perfectos. I than remembered Aubergine at 1 Kalda Ln Plainview NY. The beef shawerma was perfect it hit the spot. The belila was the special of the day, that I usually have every couple of months. I never had it outside of the house but, it tasted as if it was from my kitchen. Would definitely recommend it & will be going back to try other dishes.

Delicious and unique food truck. If you thought this was your average chicken/gyro over rice you’d be very wrong... these guys delve beautifully into Egyptian cuisine which is both different/hard to find and very tasty in its own right. Food is made VERY fresh. Will be a regular here.

My daughter had my husbands birthday catered by Aubergine food truck we had more than 70 people and I must say their food was amazing. The service was outstanding and anyone wanting to try authentic Egyptian cooking should try the owners of Aubergine food truck. I have never had such delicious Egyptian food except for my husbands family and in Egypt. I can’t wait till they open up a business in Huntington or Melville where one can sit down and enjoy the atmosphere and hospitality of Egyptians. There is nothing negative to say everything they cook is so delicious.

Delicious with a capital D! If you have an international palate, try the food, and judge for yourself. Not too spicy and really flavorful! It is middle eastern street food style. Definitely worth coming back to!

I heard about this place in a random magazine and from the second i read about it i couldnt wait to try it. It absolutely exceeded my expectations, ive had shawarma before, but NOTHING like this and i cant wait to come back for more. Owners are super nice too. Thanks guys!
