"August First is a popular, counter-order breakfast and lunch spot, bakery, and coffee shop all rolled into one. It is worth a visit all year round but is especially glorious in the summer when the large, garage-style windows open onto the street and copious outdoor seating is available. Enjoy fresh baked goods alongside your cappuccino, or order from the full menu including sandwiches, salads, and all-day breakfast items like polenta and eggs, french toast, and maple granola with local yogurt." - Anna Darrow, Heather Platt

My visit to August First was an absolute delight and easily one of the best brunch experiences I’ve had in Burlington. Housed in what looks like a beautifully restored old warehouse or firehouse, the café has an open, airy vibe with cozy, rustic charm. From the moment I walked in, the place felt welcoming and full of character. I ordered the steak & eggs sandwich, and it was phenomenal—rich, savory, and perfectly balanced. To go with it, I had a caramel iced latte that was just the right level of sweet and had a strong, smooth espresso base. The quality of the ingredients and the thoughtful preparation were obvious in every bite and sip. The space is clean, well-decorated, and bustling with energy, though it’s worth noting that this is a laptop-free zone—which I actually appreciated. It encouraged real conversation and a relaxed dining experience. Seating fills up quickly, and parking can be a bit tricky—metered street parking is usually the best bet. I’d also recommend trying the Maple Granola with yogurt if you’re in the mood for something lighter. Whether you're a local or just passing through, August First is the perfect spot for a cozy, flavorful brunch with a touch of Burlington charm. I’ll definitely be returning!

Google
August First is the place for breakfast and lunch in Burlington. We stayed in the city for three days and came here three times — that probably says it all! The food is fantastic, the service is impressively quick, and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed — likely thanks in part to their “no laptops” policy, which keeps the vibe social and easygoing. Highly recommended! As a bonus, the friendly staff suggested we check out Poco, a restaurant just around the corner, where we ended up having a beautiful evening. Thanks again to the team at August First — we’ll be back next time we’re in town!

Google
I had the steak & eggs sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! The caramel iced latte was also really good. The place is clean, beautifully decorated, and has a great vibe. Highly recommend for a tasty and cozy brunch spot!

Google
Vibey cafe inside an old warehouse (firehouse?) with delicious food. The coffee is excellent and strong. The steak and egg sandwich was amazing, while the breakfast sandwich was also great, but a bit too greasy for my taste. The Maple Granola and yogurt was outstanding. Parking somewhat hard to find, we ended up parking at a metered spot, 25 cents per 10 minutes… Alert: this is a “laptop-free zone” lol

Google
my go to breakfast spot in burlington, i have lived here for a few years and never get sick of it. the pastries are delicious, the breakfast sandwiches are to die for, service is friendly and the bustling atmosphere is super fun. it can be competitive to get a table on the weekends if you want to sit and eat but it is totally part of the fun

Google
I went to August First for brunch, and it was good, but not exactly mind-blowing. The food was solid, with fresh ingredients, but nothing really stood out as exceptional. I enjoyed my meal, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype I’d heard. The biggest downside was the seating. There wasn’t any space inside, so we had to sit outside. Luckily, the weather was nice, but I can imagine it being frustrating on a colder or rainy day. It’s a cute spot, but I’d probably explore other brunch options next time I’m in town.

Google
I came here for brunch with my husband, it's absolutely PHENOMENAL!!! we were blown away by our sandwiches: Vermonter and Jerk Chicken. I definitely recommend coming here, prices are between$ 14 and$ 16 but it's worth the price. be prepared to stand in line . there's also outdoor seating.

Google
Cute spacious space. I had a mocha, it was a bit too sweet. The pain au chocolate was also just okay.

Yelp
Best coffee in the Burlington, VT by faaaaar. Absolutely hands down best breakfast around too. Egg and cheese on a croissant... going back again tomorrow for the same thing. Apparently, I've got to get one of their skinny long loaves and f bread too. All the locals coming in we're getting it. Staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was fine. Five stars for the food alone though.

Yelp
Start your morning with a flavor burst Without laptop WiFi leeches who're the worst Friendly baristas with skill An environment quite chill You won't regret your order at August First All the tempting bakery items present the paradox of choice as we new customers relied upon the recommendations from the warm energy of the employee who patiently received us. A chocolate croissant was properly positioned in a brown bag for the incredible flakiness paired perfectly with the brash flavor of a quality coffee. But my mistake was not exercising more patience in saving the sweetness of the baked good to follow the savory of the steak and egg sandwich for that delicious item was well worth the short wait. An atmosphere of concrete walls lined with random books and subdued art served to aid in digestion almost as much as the lack of locals on laptops who are actively dissuaded from space occupying seats here. For both those on the go who want to guarantee themselves a great day by beginning it with quality and others who have time to sit and converse, August first is a place to frequent any chance you get to be in Burlington

Emi W.

Yelp
Great cozy vibes inside. Pretty busy on a Sunday morning, but service was quick and we managed to find seating. Ordered the kale salad and mushroom toast (which I believe was a special), they were both incredible. Best salad I've had in a while- beets were super fresh and the dressing was tangy. The fried mushrooms on the toast were lovely as well.

Shayna T.

Yelp
The building itself is very cute and there are very high ceilings that are almost industrial. There are large "garage doors" that open up and there is seating both inside and outside. August first has a small sign at the register that discourages the use of laptops and other large electronic devices since they want you to focus on being in the moment. Therefore, it probably would be a great place to meet up with a friend instead of expecting to get some work done. The coffee was excellent, as expected, but options for gluten-free individuals were very limited. I'd come back for coffee, but likely would skip on the food, personally, since it's not very accommodating to those with restrictions.

Sabrina P.

Yelp
I really liked this coffee shop! The bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich was so delicious. We also got the maple biscuit. My vanilla latte was also great. Would recommend a visit to August First when in Burlington!

Isabella C.

Yelp
This place was highly recommended, and did not disappoint! We tried the dirty pork sandwich, lacinato kale salad, eat the east, hand pie, and griddled biscuit. Everything we ordered was delicious and unique, and wasn't greasy at all. It was pretty busy when we came, but our food came out fairly quickly. I also love that they don't use screens; just a fun little detail. This is definitely a must for people in the area!

Yelp
We stopped in Burlington for a bite to eat and were recommended to try August First. It's a popular spot with a line out the door when we arrived, but an employee was passing out free sample of their chocolate chip pumpkin bread. It was so delicious that I ordered a piece for myself! I also got the Vermonter sandwich which was pretty good. It comes with turkey, cheese, red onion, Apple chutney and a cranberry mayo. The combination of the mayo and Apple chutney worked well. For a drink I got an iced vanilla latte. It was ok, a little more milk vs. espresso than I'd like. Some other items we ordered were the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich and a chocolate croissant. Their pastries are really the highlight. Freshly made and you can tell.

Micah C.

Yelp
Been coming here with my wife for over a year. The food used to be much more flavorful and exciting, but recently it's had a dip in quality. Things we've ordered have been very bland and overcooked. It's kind of unfortunate because we love this place so much. Hopefully it's just a temporary thing and quality will improve again!

Lee M.

Yelp
Excellent lunch of flavorful peanut noodles with added tofu. Nice balance of vegetables in it, including soybeans. Jerk chicken sandwich was more curry than jerk but very tasty nonetheless. High-ceilings and airy space, self serve. Nice folks!

Michael L.

Yelp
Visited August First for breakfast on a Monday morning. I had a breakfast special and it was very special! I was pleasantly surprised on the perfect cook and blend of all the flavors on my home fries breakfast bowl. The place itself is baking fresh bread using it in their meals, selling it by the loaf and making your nostrils just as happy as your taste buds. The eating area has indoor and outdoor seating and clearly aims to be open air. They encourage no devices sit downs to enjoy your food and your company. It's a very chill environment even when it is getting very busy. They offer a variety of breakfast pastries and you can get it all to go if you're on the move. Service was smooth and fast and they kept everything moving as the lines grew. Pricing was reasonable and we will happily without hesitation keep going back. Enjoy!

Yelp
Stopped in for a breakfast on a Friday mid-morning and the place was busy. You place your order at the counter! This was a great breakfast place ! We had the Maple Biscuit . IT came with honey butter and homemade jam. The biscuit was good, but the jam and butter were amazing. We also tried the Eat the East Breakfast Sandwich. It was so flavorful and unlike anything we have had. It was an egg, topped with arugula, but what made it so unique was the maple curry mayo, cumin onion chutney and cilantro. By far one of the best breakfast sandwiches ever! We also tried the lemon poppy seed cake and a latte. Will definitely return. There is indoor and outdoor seating !

April L.

Yelp
I got the maple biscuit (griddled version) with the jam and maple butter but to be honest, it was for a whole ~4 dollar more to get it warmed up with some jam and butter. My friend got the normal non griddled maple biscuit and it tasted just as good, if not better and less burnt/toasted. So if you're deciding between the two, I would say just go for the normal non griddled version, especially if you're more of a biscuit purist and actually enjoy biscuits without any additions of butter or jam on top. It is a popular bakery/cafe so there was a long line, especially after the Burlington marathon but I had no problems with the service. There is also seating outside and inside of the cafe. Ambiance is cute as the aesthetic is baking factory "turned" cafe. The smells from the outside are lovey too as you pass by.

Heejin P.

Yelp
We were in burlington for a weekend but we liked this place so much we went twice! They have a number of baked goods to choose from but you must get the maple biscuit - it is phenomenal. To be fair, it's not quite the "normal" biscuit, but it'll be one of the best bread type things you've ever had. They also have baggies of "day old" biscuits cheaper and once you reheat those, it's just as excellent. We also tried their meal-ish items - the polenta, loaded fries, eat the east sandwich. All were delicious and seem to be moderately asian inspired. Overall a great place to grab a casual bite and pick up some delicious bread too!

Kim G.

Yelp
I love the atmosphere, very laid back, feels like a perfect neighborhood hang out spot. They discourage the use of screens so it was a lot of conversation and a little loud but not enough to be a problem. The service was quick and friendly. No decaf iced coffee but had a delicious decaf iced americano. The food was amazing, innovative and fun. I wish I could have tried it all. Overall, a must stop in Burlington.

Audrey A.

Yelp
When in Burlington, stop at August First! It was crazy busy and there was a wait, so be prepared if you are traveling here during peak leaf peeping season. Wish we hadn't eaten breakfast before coming here because everything looked amazing. Loved the menu. We had to try their maple biscuits, so we grabbed one for later and one griddled with butter and homemade jams for immediate consumption. Sooo delish. I haven't had a biscuit this huge or one with this flavor..loved the tender, flakiness of the biscuit, but also that yummy crunch on the outside. Definitely a must try. The jam and butter were the perfect accompaniments. My absolute fave about August First is that I went grocery shopping and there was an entire section of their freshly baked breads. Love the local support.

April S.

Yelp
Go go go go go go go go go go go go go go! Period! Honestly I'm beating myself up for not going prior to my last day and it was only a 5 minute walk from my hotel. I'll know for sure next time. The breakfast sandwich, cinnamon roll and a maple latte...every since I left I make my coffee with maple syrup now. No other way. Very delicious

Crystal R.

Yelp
Food was fresh made but the line and wait time was insane. Got a breakfast sandwich and a chocolate croissant (waited 45+ minutes between getting in line and getting our sandwich). The croissant had very little chocolate. The bread on the sandwich was phenomenal.

E V.

Yelp
Outstanding breakfast! Awesome flavors and unique recipes that satisfied our hunger and palette! They also open a little earlier than others on Sunday! Good atmosphere and friendly people made this a great choice for breakfast!

Taylor M.

Yelp
Really great food, consistently. The atmosphere inside is relaxed and welcoming, and in the summer the outdoor seating is great. A large display of freshly baked pastries adorns the front counter. The menu is fresh and inventive, and when your order is placed they call out your name to let you know it's ready. Busy days require a microphone to get your attention. I got the polenta with eggs and salmon. It was absolutely delicious. I added siracha on top for some extra flavor. The polenta was rich and flavorful, the eggs cooked to perfection. A wonderful way to start the day!

Monica G.

Yelp
Meh, I don't know what the hype is about this place. The espresso machine was down, and the food? Not sure that the pork belly on my french toast was cooked all the way. It looked almost raw. The ambiance is cute, but people are loud, so it takes away from sitting and enjoying the views.

Josephina M.

Yelp
Good service and food! It's a little busy and loud, but it is around lunch time (1:30pm) so that's fair. Total was $24 for a cooler drink ($3), and Lahi's Peanut Noodles ($13) with added pork belly ($6). The cold noodles were awesome, especially once I added a dash of sriracha. However, the pork belly smelled slightly weird and was extremely fatty (but no points docked for that as that's what you expect with pork belly! I did ask if the pork belly is really fatty and was told "not really, but it does have fat on it" which could confuse someone as it is extremely fatty). Overall, I liked my meal and it's portion size was filling. I'd come back to try the chickpea dish next time! Edit: I have a horrible stomach ache and feel like throwing up. I shouldn't have eaten the weird smelling meat (whoops). Dropped down one star.

Olivia F.

Yelp
One of my absolute favorite breakfast spots, ever! Worth the stop if you're in the area

Jenny G.

Yelp
Very busy place for lunch. Breakfast is served all day, so there are lots of choices to choose from. We chose the dirty pig egg sandwich. It was very flavorful. The downside is that the kim chi was too salty. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. Tony' pull pork sandwich was on point also. It was juicy, and the best part was the hoagie. It brought all together. Dirty fried really did us dirty. $14 feels like everything and the kitchen sink was in that container of home fries. There was pork belly, kim chi, radish, potatoes, eggs. It was alot of things going on. Griddle Montebello and egg sandwich were very greasy. Focaccia bread was greasy with the melted cheese was just too overwhelming. In case you wondering what Montebello is, it tasted like bologna with olives. Salty. I was really glad that I ordered the maple biscuits. Make sure you ask for the maple butter. Taste great together. There are many choices to pick from, but make sure you have the time to wait for the food. Everything is made fresh, so it's worth the wait.

Shaji K.

Yelp
Made a trip here for breakfast on a late Friday morning. Large open setup with the bakery in the back and counter service for ordering. Between two people, ordered the Maple Biscuit ($4), Apple Turnover ($4), Avocado Toast ($13), and two lattes ($4 each). Loved the apple turnover - flaky crust and flavorful filling without being too sugar forward. Maple biscuit has a nice crust and a large burst of maple if that's your thing. The avocado toast comes on a thick slice of multi grain bread that tastes fresh - and a good chunky avocado top. Coffee is strong and paired well with a cold afternoon. Service is quick despite the crowds and they do have outdoor seating during the warmer months. There are asian-inspired lunch items as well if looking for something beyond breakfast.

Robert Z.

Yelp
Great place for baked goods and breakfast. Had the Dirty Pork Egg Sandwich and griddled Maple Biscuit. Went back and ordered more to go.

Amy B.

Yelp
Creative Breakfast sandwiches and amazing pastries ...yes!!!! I seek out the best bakery in every town we visit and this not only hit the mark, but had such cool options. We tried the peach Kouing Amann since one of the employees told us it was her favorite. We were pleasantly surprised and how amazing it was and will definitely try it again. Crisp with essence of honey on the outside, soft pillowy layers with the peach jam on the inside. Breakfast sandwich (the day maker) is what I chose was decent (brioche was perfect), but egg was a little over cooked. I would try the Eat the East next time. My boyfriend got that polenta with smoked salmon and eggs. The polenta was a rich dish and every bite delivered. So so tasty!! We even looked up how to buy the salmon, but can't since we aren't a restaurant. Day Maker If you go on the weekend, be prepared to wait 30-45 min in line and then another 20 min for hot food when you order. We got our coffee and baked good right away. Busy and loud simply because it is the best bakery in town!

Renee H.

Yelp
Freeeeesh! Fresh delicious pastries. The bomb food! So delicious and filling. This place was packed for an afternoon lunch but they were fast and efficient with the service. The inside is beautiful roomy and plenty of area to sit down and eat. If you're in the area, this should be your go to!

Victoria B.

Yelp
Prices were high and there was a line out the door, so I was suspicious. But then I got my tofu bánh mì and all was forgiven because it was OUTRAGEOUSLY delicious. Like, lick your fingers delicious. My husband got the Vermonter sandwich and similarly raved but I still find it hard to believe that anything could have competed with my sandwich (served in a sesame roll that just took it to another level). They're a screen-free café, which I loved because it meant tables circulated without people camping out and working. It was a great experience overall!

Lucy Y.

Yelp
We keep coming back here predominantly for the Maple Biscuit, because it is the best biscuit in the universe. They griddle til extra crunchy the bottom, the maple glaze is baked on top, the soft insides in between crunchy parts - served sliced & cut sides griddled & warm. Slathering on the local Ploughgate maple butter (best butter in the universe) & raspberry jam it comes with takes it over the top to biscuit nirvana. I used to get the breakfast sammich on this biscuit til I realized I ate the filling separately, so I could slather the butter & jam on the griddled biscuit halves. Now I plan better. Any breakfast sammich here is great, & the coffee is perfectly strong in the best way. The bacon is thick & perfectly cooked, the eggs perfectly runny, & whatever bread will be perfectly toasted. Note the pattern of perfection. We always try a few other bright shiny things. This time: Cruffin - filled w/blueberry jam & lemon curd, topped with torched merengue. Very delicious, more for dessert based on sweet level. Ham & cheese croissant - heated for a few seconds, this is REALLY GOOD. Crispety flaky layers, good ham & cheese. I love me a savory croissant & this represents all the reasons why. Sometimes the service here is curt, but this morning it was very warm. We always see regulars chatting here, & I think their no laptops policy adds to their charm. Come here/come back for that Maple Biscuit every time you're around!

Kelsey M.

Yelp
Great food and quick service for a breakfast sandwich. It was very chaotic and busy on a Saturday morning, but to be expected!

Jim M.

Yelp
Like baked goods? Of course you do. What are you waiting for? They're just around the corner. If you walk, you can even claim you have "earned" it. Angels walk among us, and so e of them appear to bake. *peach amman* *wottevva croissant*

Paul V.

Yelp
Excellent choice for breakfast! This a vibrant and lively eatery which gets very busy on weekend mornings! The wait was worth it since the food was excellent! We had the maple granola with vanilla yogurt and the avocado toast with added smoked salmon and fried egg. The maple granola was definitely freshly made in house and with good flavor and dense with healthy ingredients. It wasn't too sweet either. The vanilla yogurt gave a nice tart contrast for the granola! The avocado toast was topped with smoked salmon and fried egg and was superb! The toast itself was also freshly baked and wonderful! Coffee was also delicious and freshly ground! Service was friendly and fairly quick considering the place was very busy! Atmosphere was vibrant and casual! You can eat inside or outside! A great choice for breakfast and brunch!

Matthew P.

Yelp
So this has to be kind of a two part review, since August First is both a bakery and a restaurant. The bakery is top notch. They make the best baguette I've had outside of France, along with amazing croissants and other goodies. Their other loaves are amazing as well. But seriously, that baguette is worth five stars alone. I love to get one in the morning and eat it throughout the day with some fresh cultured butter, or top it with meats and greens for little sandwiches. Their baguettes are also available fresh daily at City Market. If you arrive too late and they are sold out at August First, sometimes you can still find one there. I am so grateful to be able to get such a great baguette a short walk from where I live. I also really like August First for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Portions are generally a little big for me, but I'm a light eater. Coffee is great. The space is lovely, especially in the summer with the big doors open.

Madeline S.

Yelp
Easily one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. It was a unique combo but all the ingredients complimented each other so well! I love when places add their own twist to menu items. Keeping it different. We came with a group of 7 and we all loved our food. Cinnamon roll and coffee was delicious as well. Wish I lived closer so I could come every weekend!

Cole D.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this spot on a road trip to Burlington. I loved the rustic and farm fresh vibe of the restaurant and friendly service. I got the Day maker breakfast sandwich which was fairly good. I really enjoyed the pairing of the bacon aioli and tomato habanero jam. I also tried a maple biscuit which was delicious. Would love to return for some more of the baked goods and the $3 iced coffee!

Jacqui P.

Yelp
Known for the superb bread, but I also enjoy their lunches on the restaurant side. Today I had a lamb bowl. It was seasoned well, with rice, hummus, and veggies. It had a little kick to it also. It was one of the specials, so only for a limited time. But I hope you get to try it! Overall, a great experience!

Paula C.

Yelp
Had to go to August First while we were in Burlington because that's my birthday ! Quiche was delicious as well as the maple biscuit . It was a little chaotic and they forgot the vanilla in my latte but those things happen! Give them a try if your in Burlington Vt

Nick S.

Yelp
Outstanding breakfast at this place! Seems to be one of the best places in Burlington for an exceptional overall breakfast / brunch. Excellent high quality egg sandwiches on brioche buns, delicious salads and pastries I do need to comment though and say that the espresso I ordered was not good. Very bitter and as someone who drinks coffee / espresso every day, I couldn't finish this one. Maybe I got a bad batch but would look into this. Overall would definitely go back and got a fresh baguette to take home which we enjoyed later that evening with homemade pasta!

Rachael O.

Yelp
Great for breakfast. Casual establishment, didn't have to wait too long for our food. The pastries were AMAZING! There seemed to be decent options for a gluten free diet too.

Lee R.

Yelp
The food, the desserts, the customers service and the atmosphere in this coffee shop is outstanding! 20/10 recommend.

Ryan F.

Yelp
Visited August First for breakfast and coffee on Saturday morning. Expect a line, but it is worth it as the warm sandwiches and sweets are quite good. Quality: August First serves up high quality drinks and breakfast items. I really enjoyed my Latte, though I wish it was larger. The Dirty Pork & Egg Sandwich was delicious, with roasted pork belly, egg, cheese, sweet chili aioli, and kimchi. A fun and tangy blend of items. The Grilled Biscuit was even better, loved the maple butter and jam. The Cinnamon Roll was fine, but not as fresh and moist as I hoped for. Quantity: Drinks are on the smaller side, but the food is hefty. Value: $4 for a Large Latte. $13 for the Dirty Pork & Egg Sandwich. $8 for the Grilled Biscuit. $5 for the Cinnamon Roll. Ambiance: August First is a bakery and coffee shop located in Burlington. They have a huge unfinished warehouse space. The operation and kitchen tend to blend into the customer area. Some seating inside, but also plenty outside if the weather is nice. Announcements for orders come over the speaker outside, which is a helpful element. Crowd: Every seat was filled for breakfast on the weekend. Service: Pretty fast considering the crowd. Parking: Easy parking nearby.

Lynn N.

Yelp
The line on Saturday morning is pretty impressive but that's probably the sign of a great place! We got a banh mi and a chocolate croissant to go and had a picnic while biking on the Island Line Trail and it was perfect! We will definitely be doing this again!

Winter B.

Yelp
August First is one of my favorite coffee shops/bakeries in Burlington. Everything is super fresh and you can see the trays of baked goods coming right out of the oven. Their maple biscuits are one of the most popular menu items and they are delicious! Definitely try if you come here. They are thick and buttery and come with a delicious strawberry jam. The interior is really cool and the place is very open with lots of natural light. They sell breads and some other baked goods to go if you want to bring a loaf home. Great spot.

Andrew B.

Yelp
I really, really wanted to like this place because it's so cute and they make the whole block smell like bread in the morning, but I just can't like them enough to justify the bite it takes out of my wallet. The food is average, I've had some bad coffees, some of their baked items were either stale or just not good enough to finish eating, and it costs a decent amount more than I'd like to pay for what I'm getting in my cup or on my plate. I could just be nitpicky, but after going here three or four times I just don't see myself wanting to go back. Maybe I'm missing something like the baguettes or the biscuits, and it is Very pretty and well-decorated and has a nice atmosphere, but I've tried a variety of their things and just haven't left feeling like what I got was anything special, or even good sometimes.

Cindy A.

Yelp
August First is a cool and popular eating spot. The menu isn't big but what they serve is fresh and good. We went for breakfast and did not leave hungry. I was a little worried about finding something I would eat (I'm a little, ok a lot, picky) because many of the item had ingredients and toppings I would not enjoy. But they had a breakfast sandwich - I got an egg and cheese on 7 grain toast. It was very good! My husband got the griddled maple biscuit. It was quite large and tasty. We also ordered a cranberry almond scone to try. It had a good flavor (but personally I would have added a glaze on top). The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful, especially when they forgot to give us our scone snd then accidentally gave us the wrong one. I also thought the prices were a little on the high side but not exorbitantly so. All in all, we had a good experience and I would definitely return!

Brendon H.

Yelp
Overpriced but convenient. $17 small turkey sandwich! Yeah! Great vibe inside, tho. High ceilings; lots of natural light. Always bustling in a pleasant way. Bumbling, buzzing kind of vibe

Rebecca G.

Yelp
Had the DAYMAKER sandwich and it was a flavor bomb of deliciousness! Oh the sauces and soft Brioche bun!!! Definitely my favorite breakfast sandwich by far!

Kathleen H.

Yelp
Such delicious pastries - a cream cheese cinnamon roll that made me want to weep - plus yummy vegan noms (tofu bahn mi, garbanzo bean salad, kale tofu salad) for my partner too. Food was fresh and fast considering how busy this place is whenever we visit! Coffee was silky and mellow.

Jennifer O.

Yelp
This was the perfect place to pick up breakfast! I had the eat the east breakfast sandwich on a biscuit that was messy and delicious. The biscuit was super flavorful. I also had a fairly tasty blueberry muffin. The prices are a little high, but I'd say it's worth it. The inside of the restaurant is really cute, but we sat outside, which was also fine. Check them out!

Ryna D.

Yelp
Amazing brunch! On our last visit to Burlington, I learned about August First. And boy were we happy that we did. They have some of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Not an exaggeration. Go check them out for yourself. And do not forget to order that biscuit. So worth it!
