"A place that lives, sleeps and breathes art! Not only is there the special cachet of the listed Haag Villa (1877), there is also Christian Grünwald's cooking, the likes of which you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. We are in the company of an extremely creative chef who stands out for having his own distinctive signature. This he showcases in a seasonal set menu – the various appetisers are a fantastic introduction! He draws inspiration from nature and uses ingredients of excellent quality. For example, the "local venison,Butter von 4 Hölzern, spruce needle powder, roasted macaroni almond, sour cherry, parsley root" exudes a wonderful forest aroma. The food is served on illuminated "display window" tables, with decorative and edible items on show under their glass tops. The space is extremely stylish, the atmosphere is pleasingly relaxed, inviting and familiar – Christian Grünwald himself is also on hand to shed light on his creations. Practical tip: You will find parking on the villa's premises." - Michelin Inspector

"This restaurant with its charming brasserie atmosphere is located in what was once the "butcher's quarter" – and in keeping with its history, the meat theme has been taken up here. Besides design features such as lamps and wall tiles, the open kitchen really draws the eye. They rear their own meat or source it from Swiss producers. Vegetarian alternatives are also available." - Michelin Inspector

Turned dinner into a wine and food tasting experience! Rychard, our server, was superb in making recommendations and providing excellent service. Started with a mixed salad and a glass of German Riesling, then a veal and pork sausage with Swiss Merlot, and Zurcher Gesschnetzeltes and a side of roesti with a Swiss Pinot Noir! Ended with mocha and stracciatella gelato! The place has a really friendly, intimate vibe, and we had an amazing overall experience. So glad we picked this restaurant for our only night in Zurich!

I visited this place during my trip. The food I had here was absolutely delicious! It was my first time trying this type of ham, but the quality was excellent, and it tasted amazing! The pasta was really smooth and flavorful, and the special whole grain mustard sauce was really impressive! The meat stew was also delicious, and it had a lot of olives. I remember that we added extra fries. It was a happy meal!

6 nights in Switzerland, 2 dinners at AuGust. If you love meat this is the place for you. If you don’t eat meat, go find grass elsewhere to graze on. Need more places like this in USA. Food is fresh, tasty. Asparagus soup: thin but tasty. Wife really loved it Steak tartar: in my top 3 and I get it everywhere. Another in my top 3 is Gordon Ramsey Hell’s Kitchen so they have that going for them Sausage sampler: great meat, house mustard might be better Spatzli: good Roasti: good Kleischkase: (fancy meatloaf) incredible. Try one with herbs and pepperoncini Swiss veal: good

The food was good, although I must say the selection is rather limited and the space is a bit clustered for my taste. However, having said that, it is good for what it is: casual and tasty.

Beef tartar was scrumptious! The best one that I had. We also ordered beef tongue, that was also delicious. Topped with Zurich style dish with veal… so yummy!! Rychard was friendly and provided an excellent service. The tables outside are slapping! Beautiful view.

Between trains in Zurich, encumbered by luggage the folks at AuGust welcomed us in, stored our bag and proceeded to serve us a spectacular lunch. A beautiful environment, great service and delicious food. Thanks to all.

Not for vegetarians, a side salad for your main of meatloaf (amazing meatloaf!!!) nearly raises an eyebrow from the staff. Different, cosy, interesting neighbourhood. And meaty!
