Best Dishes Eater Houston Editors Ate This Week: March 25 | Eater Houston
"At a dinner series in Riverside Terrace I enjoyed rhubarb beignets, which were divine, and a deconstructed muffuletta that showcased Chef Dominick Lee’s “progressive Creole” approach: a muffuletta-style Italian salad with a generous amount of olives, provolone, Mornay sauce, and sesame croutons—playful, technically driven, reverent to his roots, and ambitious in its desire to move the needle forward." - Kayla Stewart
Chef Dominick Lee Previews ‘Progressive Creole’ Menu for Houstonians | Eater Houston
"For the month of March the chef is hosting intimate preview dinners for up to fifteen guests where tasting menus showcase his take on progressive Creole cuisine. Expect plates that celebrate local fare—crawfish and other prized seafood figure prominently—while diners can observe the chef’s testing process and tour the future restaurant space prior to construction and renovation. These pop-up nights offer a clear preview of the concept ahead of the restaurant’s anticipated Labor Day weekend opening." - Kayla Stewart
We have been shopping for our fruits and vegetables at Augustine’s Farm since we moved to Armonk 36 years ago. All their produce is very fresh and home grown or locally grown. The best.

Don’t believe this is farm stand produce. Eggs not fresh. Would avoid

Lots of flies swarming around all the produce. And I mean A LOT. I’ve been to plenty of farms in the area and they don’t seem to have this problem. A lot of the produce was old and a lot of it wasn’t even from the farm. Prices were very high. They don’t take cards only cash or check.

Many people come for the pumpkins and cider during the fall season but there are lots of great fruits and vegetables year round (with the exception of the few winter months when they are closed).

Yelp
A longtime favorite of our family. A step
back in time and place...and the only real farm stand in its area. We go for local honey, tomatoes, corn, delicata squash, peaches, eggs, etc etc!

Yelp
What a treat this place is.
I love fresh veggies and all the other items one can get at a local farm. Since we moved to this area I knew we would miss our sweet corn from Rosedale Farm in Simsbury CT.
Well today on my way from the airport I took a left turn instead of my usual right and followed the sign to this amazing spot.
I am so happy to be able to continue our summers with fresh corn, juicy tomatoes, fresh basil etc.
Please visit, the owner was extremely friendly and kind. They have a large selection of produce, eggs, raw honey and plants.
Cash Only.

Yelp
This has been my "go to" farm stand for several years. This year may be my last since I am very disappointed in the corn and tomatoes I just bought there. The corn was tough and tasted like field corn and the tomatoes had almost no flavor. I am so sad. The stand itself is nice and so is the woman who runs it but none of that makes up for the lack of quality this year.

Yelp
Yankee mag did an article about the owner who lost most of his leg from farm equipment accident & how the town of locals etc offered physical & monetary support to this local beloved institution.
School field trips, seasonal farm stand, fresh eggs & flowers.

Yelp
While some produce is reasonably priced, watch out for unmarked produce prices. I bought 2 yellow field tomatoes from their counter and was charged an amazing $8.99/lb for tomatoes! I suppose I was in Greenwich after all.

Yelp
I can't even tell you how much I love this place!! Nice family owned produce shop with super friendly staff. It's generally cheaper than the grocery store and a billion times better! I always send a picture to my husband or mom saying "look at all this awesome fresh food I got for $20!" Once I asked for kale when I was there and didn't have any in the shop and sent a guy out to pick me some! Another time the owner gave me a new hybrid, I think it was a peanut squash, and told me to roast with some butter or EVOO and tell him how I liked it when I came back. I live a bit far away but always think about it when I'll be in the area. It's a must for Thanksgiving produce. The husband and wife are kind. it!!!

Yelp
I went here today on my way to work and picked up fresh peaches, large vine-ripe tomatoes, tiny baby potatoes, and a few heirloom tomatoes for a mozzarella salad later. I can't believe I never knew about this farm - what a treat! Seriously, as a "hobby-novice" gardener, I value locally-grown produce and all the hard work that goes into it! They also had farm fresh eggs, honey and about four varieties of plums! I'm going back later to pick up some ears of corn and a couple melons. :)

Yelp
I have been going to this farm since I was in pre-school, and I'm now in my late 20's. The owners are always present and such nice people, and the produce is always very fresh and great quality. They have eggs from their own hens, and honey from their own bees. I highly recommend this farm.

Yelp
Great local farm for fresh fruits and vegetables. Amazing corn, tomatoes, strawberries and more. Staff could be more friendly but they're nice enough.

Yelp
Wonderful produce, good prices and the people could not be nicer. The woman there today - whose name I didn't catch - taught me how to buy a ripe melon. Stopped everything and made sure I got the best one. Also check out row of sunflowers and bird feeders. Highly recommend!
